My DS is 21 months and not ready to be toilet trained yet, so he is still in nappies and i make sure he gets at least 30 mins nappy free time every day.

Do you still give your child nappy free time? and if so for how long?

Poll coming :D

Nope...but I never really gave either of them nappy free time when they were little bubs either, only when they had nappy rash (which wasn't often for DS, and even less often for DD).

DS did go thru a nudist stage once he was outta nappies

yep.. as soon as it's warm enough, they're nappy free.

We've just started toilet training.. and all the months of nappy free time have been great as they were already used to going outside to wee...

so now it's just a change in location.. no accidents yet.. we're on our second day.

My almost 2yo DD gets about an hour after her bath in the morning. We leave the potty out in the lounge for her and she knows if she has to wee to go on there. She has gone about 4 times on there now (never goes on the floor) and only wee's so far, wont poo unless she is wearing a nappy.

yep brayden is a lil nudest, so after he does a wee he gets an hour of nappy free time - then its back in a nappy..... the cycle continues all day (unless we are out lol)

no

my DD gives HERSELF nappy free time :p
i always turn around to see a nude bum running around.....

i dont mind as she always puts her nappy in the bin, if cloth i just have to fish it out but atleast she didnt leave it on the ground somewhere.
plus we have floor boards and tiles so cleaning up any accident is no issue
oh and she has been doing this for over a year now....now days there are not as many accidents:smiliedance:

We sure do on a daily basis, usually anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes after her bath. DD2 LOVES running around without a nappy on, she thinks it's the most funniest thing ever and constantly slaps herself on bum to make it known to everyone that she's not wearing a nappy.

DD is nearly 1, and I give her at least 30mins without a nappy on most days.

My DD is 25 mths old and not quite ready for TT. She has gone through a phase recently where she doesn't want to wear a nappy, but tells me when she needs to poo/wee (asks for a nappy, but won't use potty or toilet:banghead: ), so she spends several hours a day at home nappy free (& no accidents :fingerscrossed: )
With a new baby coming tomorrow, I'm in no hurry to TT, but she will be ready soon!! Now how do I convince her to use either the potty or toilet??

Yes she's 18 mths old but she also uses her potty so I am more happy to let her go for longer!

Well Hayley only wears nappies to bed so yes, and Skye I do as well for about 5 minutes before I change her.

 Nope...

DD is only ever nappy free between nappy undone and new one done up and bath time... Has been like that since she was a little one, She never really has had nappy free time - i found out about it at 3 months but she only ever gets a rash when teething, and it only lasts a day...

Yep, we started toilet training early, and he would be in nappy out time in the back yard playing for ages, well over half an hour then he would tell me when he wanted to go toilet etc....but then he stopped doing that (he is now 26 months), so now he just has it sometimes when playing in the yard late arvo, when most of the sun has gone from the yard, so around 4pm... And he is like that for as long as we have time to do it...

And then he either wees out in the yard or runs in asking for a nappy (and screams if I put him on the toilet)..so its a race to get a nappy on.

DD has a bit...usually after bath and now it warming up a bit outside...just reading through re: TT do you just let them pee outside or do you have a potty out there so they start going on that wherever they are?
