Hi Michael's Mummy!
I have just joined one at Kangaroo Point - seems very friendly and fun - very informal.
Anyway, PM me if your interested and I'll give you the details.

:D

I can't seem to reply. I am not very good at this. What age were the children? Where exactly at K.P is it. I feel funny about turning up to these things. Were the mums friendly. It sounds pretty good:)

Hi Michael's mummy,
As I said I've only been the once however, the children ranged from about 4 weeks to about three years - with the largest % in the 8- 18 month range.
Zac is 14 months and he seemed to have fun - albeit playing with the gate, but he smiled away at the other kids.

I sooooo know what you mean about feeling funny turning up to these things, I just sort of lurked about and grinned/nodded and met some friendly mum's.

I made myself go because I wanted to meet some people, and as I'm fairly new to Brisbane, and now a SAHM, well, it makes for limited friend making opportunities.

So I bit the bullet, fought the butterflies, kept the inner dialogue going (DON'T say dumb things, DON'T say dumb things) and got through it.

Its on Main St, Kangaroo Pint, as your heading toward the Storey Bridge, its on the left, past the TAFE on the corner and before the Hospital - up the little ramp.

If you decide you want to try it (& I hope you do!) give Andrea a call, and she will give you all the pertinent details - ie kitty, volunteer roster, etc.

Anyway, I'll be there and I'm friendly - How can you resist??!!

And if you don't like it - no harm, no foul!:)

Hi thanks agan

Micahel is 12 mths Feb 7 2005. Where r u from originally. I know what you mean i have not met any mums with bubs in the last year. I haven't basically left the house. Mainly due to the fact that it seemed like such a big mission to get out of the house and go somewhere I haven't really bothered to much. However I would like to meet some friends with babes the same age. I have a daughter 9.5 so I have a lot of friends whose kids are around that age. But no friends who have bubs. Just would be nice to have friends who are going through the same thing,
