My two monkies are almost 10 months and Im still BF both of them. DD will take a bottle of formula when I need her to, but DS (aka boob man) will not. Ive tried him with all different types of formula, teats, sippy cups, someone else giving it to him etc. as you may be aware from my previous threads im prone to reoccuring mastitis and have been thinking of weaning them. I understand they can have cows milk at 12 months. Im happy to continue BF till then but was wondering if anyone has a similer experience and if they where successful.
im still going to try all the suggestions that I was given by all of you should the mastitis comes back. Hopefully it wont and I can continue on.

Im feeding them 3 times a day and they are losing interest in the lunchtime feed. When do I cut down to two feeds?

Sorry I have no advice to give but perhaps if you post in the bottle feeding thread maybe some bottle feeding mama's may be able to help you? :)

WOW, can I just say congratulations on BF both bubs to 10mths, that deserves a medal in its self.
I'm sorry I can't help with the mastitis issue as I have not had it.
To get my DS to take a bottle I would just offer it all the time and after about a week of persisting he slowly started to chew on the teat, play with the bottle and then finally drink from it.
My son went from 3 feeds to 2 feeds at about 11mths. If your bubs don't seem interested in the lunchtime feed then maybe you could try and replace it with a snack.
Best of luck to you

If they are losing interest in the lunch time feed, then you could try to skip it, and see how they go.

There are plenty of other sources of calcium in a balanced diet.
