Hey Guys,
Goodness me, you all have been busy chatting :p
Happy Belated Birthday to Bailey, I hope that he had a fantastic day! Sorry to hear about the job Lee, i'm sure something better will pop up :).
Happy Belated Birthday to Adele also!
Happy Birthday to Reuel happybirthday. It was one year ago today that you found out you were pregnant with Nahum, Lesha!! How time flys huh?
Oh rub it in Erin (About the beach!). I'm jealous!!
So who is barracking for GEELONG today? I am - Matt is a Geelong boy :p
All is well here, I am starting to wean Ava.. I think. I'm not sure! I love breastfeeding her, but she is getting so restless and always looking for more. I know my supply has dropped dramatically. Oh I don't know! So confusing.
Jacob is well, being a little turd somedays. But he is still so cute Valentine. Talking lots and lots now.
Are your toddlers having a bottle still? Jacob is... :o. I think I may start weaning him off it.... We will see. He really looks foward to his bottle!!
Haven't started TT yet, although it would be nice. No more having to buy expensive nappies! Ava is in cloth, so thats a bit cheaper there.
God, i've rambled tonight sorry girls!

...Sorry guys, no AFL here.. it's a dumb game in my books hehehe But then I pretty much hate all sports besides the V8s and maybe watching Olympic Gymnastics waiting for a broken leg :p
Lill can now say "Menama Na" quite well ... lol ...I have no excuse, it's a catchy tune :o
HAPPY BIRTHDAY REUEL!!!
*embarrassing* about the AFL though seems like alot of us here don't really follow it. Seriously, how can you lose by so many points?
Melo: Ava is such a pretty name. How did you come up with it? Was it the name of someone in your family or did you just like the sound of it? Adele went off bottles around the 15-16 month stage I think, though given half a chance, or a stray bottle lying around she will gladly take it up again. Sometimes I catch her sucking on her dolly's bottle, but she knows that it isn't for her. My DH apparently didn't give up his bottles until he was 3!
Tyler's mum: I hope that you are feeling a bit better today in yourself and with how things are going as you were pretty down a few pages back.
Baileymoo: when will you know if you got into your uni course? Do you need to sit an adult entry test? Sorry that you didn't get the job that you had applied for. Oh, did you also pay for your swimming lessons? We are on break from swimming during school holidays. We took DD to the pool which I used to teach at when I was at uni and suprisingly enough she didn't like it, and neither did I. I never used to teach the mother/baby class but really found it disappointing. We subsequently took her to the pool where my DH used to teach and she loves it there. They all look so cute when they jump off the side into the pool.
Hope that you are all enjoying the long weekend.

OMG- Ealing thank you so much. I completely forgot to pay for swimming lessons- I knew there was something I was forgetting. I'll ring them today and chuck it on credit!:p
Mel- Bailey I think went off at about 6-8months. I remember tring him on the sippy cups and he was fine so I took the opportunity to get rid of the bottle. I don't think there's anything particualry wrong with it, washing them is a pain in the butt though.
Happy Belated Birthday to Reuel!!!happybirthday happybirthday
I hope he had a great day Leesh. Did you do anything? What did the little (or shall I say big now!!!) man get for the BIG 2?!!
I don't know when exactly I find out- probably not for a couple of weeks. I didn't have to do an entry test (well, not yet anyway). I'm going to have a look on the net today.
Went away for the weekend- it was the best! So relaxing. Although Bailey has such a temper and is so whingy. I'm going to look into a parenting course.
His talking is coming along in leaps and bounds. Everyone said that his talking is extreamly good! He was always saying swing, flower, pretty, ball, puzzle, drink, MINE, MINE, MINE, NO, NO, NO!!!! Hahaha.
Who's little ones have comforters? Bailey's comforter is me!!!! In the car, he would cry uintil I held his hand and than he would be fine. It would break his heart if I stopped holding his hand though. Cute but kinda annoying and painful for mum!!!!
I don't follow too much AFL although I don't mind watching it. I can't beleive they lost by that much though- that was atrotious! Same with NRL!!! I mean, come on- what kind of a grand final is that!
Must go and do some work. I hope I got everything.

:yelclap: Good work Tam. What are you going to do with your new found wealth?
House is a DISASTER!!!! Lucky I've got tomorrow off- I can clean clean clean!
Last night I made 3 dinner dishes for the next 2 weeks (1 to come). I made a sausage cassarole, Patato Noodles and a Quiche. I only eat the Quiche but I'm going to give the other 2 to Bailey for various dinners. It'll be his first time trying both- I wonder if he'll like them!
Anyway, that's how sad my life is that I get that excited about new recepies!!! Honestly- if it wasn't for the cleaning and $$$ I could try making new recepies all day long!

Poor Tyler. And poor you- I can' t imagine anything more gross than being spewed over. But than again, I couldn't imagine touching another person's poo!!!!
There is something going around. I started out with a runny nose, hot/cold, sweats and have now eventuated into a insistant cough, conjestion and a really sore throat- I'm also losing my voice! Ethan is sick (could be teething though) and my Dad has bronchitis.
Sounds nice. I always do that. I can't remember the last time I bought myself new clothes. Actually Mum bought me some $5 tops from the Gold Coast. AND I'm heading out to buy myself a new pair of runners tomorrow. I'm excited but I have a budget- $30. Do you think I'm going to be able to buy a reasonable pair of runners for $30? Bailey's shoes cost more than that!!!!!
hi Ladies,
Sorry to hear that Tyler is not too well. I remember when Adele got gastro last year and I was thrown up on a good few times, once in the emergency room and I had spare clothes for her (apparently one spare set was not enough) and I didn't have any! We went through all her sheets and a good few of her stuffed toys. It was miserable and I remember she went down a nappy size in a day or so. Once with gastro was bad enough, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again any time soon. Lucky it was only the vomiting and not the other end!
Baileymoo: well done for cooking so much. I wish I could be a bit more organised and do that as well, but all the extra cleaning after cooking....I am lucky to think of the next meal and what we are all going to have rather than cooking separate meals. hope that Bailey likes and enjoys the new dinners.
School holidays are on, can't stand it as everywhere we usually go will be crowded! I remember being a teenager and don't remember ever being that rude or swore that much like they do now....man, do I sound old or what? I am ony 31! *sigh* must be so out of touch!
Had a great day with my mum and Adele. went for a nice walk around the lake, had morning tea. We headed out for lunch and then DD slept for nearly 2.5 hours. it was a short afternoon. Had time to head to the gym with mum babysitting and then also had time to prepare dinner before DH came home. He was really late after heading into the country for some site visits for work and I managed to get DD bathed, teeth cleaned, books read, nappy changed and nearly in bed before he got home. She usually runs amuck hiding and playing when DH does the bedtime routine. So pleased she was well behaved with me! I am quite happy with myself for such a nice day all round.
Hope we all have a great day tomorrow.

Howdy all...
:fingerscrossed: Tyler is feeling better by today .. or at least aiming for someone other then you Tam! hehe.. shouldnt laugh, I dont have nice memories of Lill doing that..
My stay with family was quite good, even surprise myself with that one. I got to hang out a bit with one of my cousins whose 14 (hes one of the eldest). The family has been through a bit of a rough patch and dont know whether I said my other cousin was down a couple of months ago? Anyway, this one is the brother. So same cr@p, different kid.
Speaking of feeling old, is looking at a 14 year old boy, who is now taller then you are... and giggling because you still see the 2 year old with the biggest head known to man crawling towards you ...
Oh well, its nice to see them growing up well.
I actually took him out to my sisters and we all went bowling. I haven't bowled in years but its safe to say I still suck as much as I always have. That was my night off though! I put Lill to bed and left :D Was a good night lol
Oh and I took my cousin for my daily walk.. he was shattered! LOL Seems Im fitter then a 14 year old boy .. thats nice hehe
Stuck around a bit long the next day, a couple of my other cousins were dropped off and theres a feud between them lol silly things really.. but apparently nobody likes these two other kids.
I'm worried about them though, their very quiet/anti social and have always been like that. I used to try and talk to them but there was just no reaction...
I think Im more then worried, I'm quite concerned, something has never sat right with me, like something is really wrong.
...Anyway, Ive tried talking to them, Im out of ideas lol
Oh I do have good news, I know how to make my grandmothers spagh bog! Technically didnt show me coz I was off doing other stuff, but I have the recipe sitting on my brain.
I think I finally left there about 3pm lol But had to drive over to Coogee and drop off the port-a-cot. Does anyone have a port-a-cot? Im going to buy one, just dont know the prices for them?
Went to drop it off at my sisters place and she wasnt home so had to go around the back. Waiting at the back door is the neighbours cat.
Now, this cat is really quite young, but from the time it was a tiny little kitten the owners would let it outside to do... whatever. So it'd go get attention from my sister. And it always seemed hungry. It's always hungry.
Typically, thats kinda normal.. just how cats are. But my sister called me the other day to say she had to cut chewing gum off its tail!!!
And then with me dropping off the cot, and seeing the cat waiting at the back door (at 3pm, my sister doesnt get home til 6pm!), I'm really tempted to take it
It's just so neglected... I feel so sorry for him. But I dunno. My sister wants me to cause she sees the cat every single day and how it is, but she can't take him because everyone knows her.
Im sure Gracie would love him, and Lill loves him already.. she knows him well lol I'm just.. too... well behaved :p
Oh and can you imagine if I have to babysit my sisters cat again?? 3 cats in one house! geeze! lol
Hmm wandering way off topic, in another land on another planet...
Oh thats right.. we have fires. Well not us, as in, very locally. But the hill closest to me has a fire. Probably out by now but it was glowing tonight. And you could see all the flashing blue and red lights surrounding it. Kinda cool, probably cooler because I know theres a good gap there between the fire and houses!
But cooler weather would be nice... for the fires and for the sake that there were too many people around today lol The bay was chockers...

Well, I'm at work again! I'm on hols so they asked me to come in again. It's going to be so nuts when I go back full time- how ma I going to do it?
I have half worked out a good routine- it's kinda ballooning out as the house is a pigsty from the leftovers of our weekend away but when I get that cleaned up- my routine should work.
At night, I get home put on dinner, set the timer for 15min and spend 15min playing with Bailey.
Get dinner ready for Baiely and I, set the timer- have 15min to eat dinner (I've found this helps allot as Bailey doesn't eat his dinner and it usually end up with me screaming and getting really frustrated at him)- when the timer goes off, what dinner Bailey hasn't eaten (which is usually all of it!) goes in the bin and we go up and get ready for bath.
I read him a book in the bath and than set the time for 10min- he stays in the bath for 10min while I tidy up his room and get his jamis ready. Dress him, brush his teeth, read him a book (if he has been good) than off to sleep with him. All before 7pm hopefully.
Sit down, watch home and away while in the ads doing the washing up, tiding up hot spots. Take clothes off line and fold.
Once downstairs is clean and clothes folded, spend 15min cleaning my bedroom- put on a load of washing, get as much ready for dinner the next night.
Go to bed hopefully at a reasonable hour!
In the morning Get up, have a shower, get dressed and put clothes on line.
It works pretty well.
Tam- I know what you mean. I desperatly need new work clothes, or more shirts actually. My sis has given me hand-me-down suits so that's great (and there all expensive brands- heh- stupid girl!) but I have less shirts than suits now!!!!
And I desperately need a going out outfit- mine currently consist of my casual clothes with heals!!!!
Hopefully I'll be able to save up some money and do all this....one day!!!
Ealing- Well, if it shows your age, I'm aging before my time. I very rarely swore- I saw it as something trashy girls do, well when a swore word is slotted into every sentence and soon becomes every second word anyway. I still have my moments- if I stub my toe, I'll let a few quiet ****, ****, **** go but I don't use it as an adjetive like some teenagers I've heard do! I think it's disgusting and what's more disturbing is that one day that could be our KIDS!!!!
Sounds like a fantastic day. I love those days when you 'get along' with your kids ALL day. No fights, no tantrums. Ah...if only.
Erin- I think you should take the kitty. Actually, do you know if it's microchiped? If it's not, than I think you should take the poor little thing- it's obvious that you love your kitties and this little kitty deserves someone to love her! They probably wont even care- plus even if they did than they'll teach them to look after their pets!

Geeze louise Lee... When do you switch off??
Id go absolutely mental if I had a routine like that... if it works great, but if ya stressed out for god sake get another set of dinner plates or something and drop the washing up!
Hmm I can't really talk I'm only catching up on cleaning today lol Junk mail is great, but it currently covers my floor. Colourful carpetting maybe?
OH well, today I am peeved off. I was chatting to somewhat of an intelligent person last night, only to find out their ignorant judgemental so and so's. And their still trying to justify their argument via email??
Seriously, when I say Im disgusted that someone can just predetermine the lifestyle of another based solely on how they look, then I'm actually being nice because I wanna call you many many MANY different ugly names ... and god help me if I see you again
...That kind of does feel better to get out

I didn't think it was that bad- actually I thought it was pretty good.
I do need another dinnerset- I only have a set of 4!!
I get a little antsy if the house isn't cleaned. Today I was thinking about actually coming in late to work so I could go back home after dropping Bailey off and quickly clean up the house. That would cost me $19 an hour!!! I don't think so joe!
Melo: Ava is such a pretty name. How did you come up with it? Was it the name of someone in your family or did you just like the sound of it? Hey! Umm.. Ava was a name we liked for ages. My 3rd cousin (Who I have some contact with) was due the month before me and named her daughter Ava too :hair:. But tis' all good!

Lee, your a super mum! Honestly. I suppose you have to though hey. I'm so un-organised these days, its really bad!
We are well, if we are out the back Jacob decides to take off his nappy and wee on the grass. So we are getting somewhere lol.
Have booked our holidays to QLD, at the end of the year. We will be over there for 2 weeks and then come back to Perth for a wedding, so that should be nice!
Tam, our birthdays are coming up! Are you doing any thing?
Matt is taking the kids and I to Karratha (About 500 kms away) at the end of this month, we are going to be there for 4 nights. I can't wait - SHOPPING and of course get to spend some quality time together... Should be interesting!
Best get going, Jacob has had an early sleep today so he will have to have lunch after he gets up..

hi,
Mumforone: We have a portacot we bought from Big W or Baby Target. Think it was a Mother's Choice brand or Steelcraft. Came witht he bassinet change table to put on the top also as well as the "carry case" to transport it in. We used it until Adele was around 8-9 months before we finally bought her a cot as we move and travel quite a bit. We found that the thin mattress that the portacot comes with was too thin for her as she got heavier, so we went to Clark's Rubber and bought her a foam mattress cut to size for the cot. You now can buy from Clark's rubber the mattress for portacots these days, but am unsure of the price. I can't remember how much we paid for the portacot, but it certainly has come in handy for us.
Thank goodness for the weekend coming up. We hare having a belated party for Adele on Saturday. Cupcakes, treasure hunt and lucky dip for the day. Quite looking forward to it as there are only 2 other children coming - my friend's 2 kids. We have "happy birthday" tiaras for the girls and party hats for the boys. Need to organise a platter and some fruits for us all, baking all the cupcakes tomorrow night with my mum and biscuits we are turning into fairy wands. Am sure it will be more work than I anticipate it to be.
Anyone else having gorgeous weather? It was 20c here in Adelaide today and will be 25C tomorrow. Hoping to get an outdoor setting for our place soon so we can enjoy being outside more.
Hope tomorrow is nice for us all.

Ealing- we are having gorgeous weather- although I don't know Tam would agree with me! It was 34 on Tuesday (I think) and they said it's going to be 32 tomorrow. I love the hot weather although I think I might have a hard time loving it when it gets to 40- I have no air conditioner in my car!!! Although, we do have air-conditioning at home and Bailey has a paddle pool and Mum and Dad have a pool and air-con at their house. So, I think I'll manage to survive.
Erin- I never actually bought a portacot. I suppose there was really no need. I lived with my parents and I only needed a portacot once for Bailey and I borrowed Mum and Dad's. Every other time we've been on hols he's slept in a big bed either by himself or with me. Is Lil in a big bed yet?
I bought my phone last night. It's very cool. I can't wait to hook it up- I wonder if my sis will get annoyed if I take her phone out and put mine in, I'm just so excited! I'm also going to buy my bed this weekend (My Mum is buying it as a house warming), we're getting it from IKEA. Here it is;

Ealing- sounds like it's going to be a great day. Fairy wand biscuits- sounds awsome. Treasure hunt hey? You'll have to let us know how that goes- perhaps some tips for Easter.
I also got almost everything done last night AND went to bed at a reasonable hour! The washing is still on the living room floor waiting to be folded and put away but we managed to get through everything else. My house is once again livable!
Bailey's staying at Nan & Pop's by himself for the first time ever on Saturday night! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. Think I might rent a DVD from the Nan & Pop Video Library and curl up on the lounge with a drink and biccis and dip and just stay there until I can't feel my legs anymore!
Anyway, I will probably try and come on over the weekend at some point cause I want to post photos of Bailey's Birthday (can only be done at Mum and Dad's).
Have a good weekend girlies and Ealing HAVE A WONDERFUL PARTAY!!!!

Hi guys,
I was just reading some other posts and it's made me a little mad.
Does anyone else feel the presure to produce the 'perfect' kid? To have the smartest, the kid who does everything before the rest! The BEST kid! I mean, come on, they're kids! They're not einsteins and there not our little trick dogs! It's so hard not to fall in this trap and I sometimes find myself getting close to the hole and I really have to snap myself out of it.
It makes me mad and really sad that some of these presures could be eminating onto our kids. I mean, imagine feeling pressure to perform at the tender age of 2! To know your alphebet, and colours, and numbers, and everything else.
Granted I do try and teach Bailey colours (he thinks everything is red at the moment) and numbers and colours but I certainly don't hound him. I try and slot it into a few activities/situations but I leave it at that.
Especially on these kind of forums where people are constantly comparing (whether it's intentional or not) their kids. Sometimes I have to stop myself from feeling guilty or worried that my kid isn't up to scratch!
Bottom line is, do you guys feel the pressure to produce perfect kids? Kids whom know how to say their alphebet backwards before there out of nappies?
Bailey is 2. He has never done a wee or poo in the potty, although he tries. He does not know the alphebet, numbers or colours. He does not know how to dress himself. He does not share. He does not put together 10 word sentences. He does not know how to put his own shoes or tie his own laces. He does not know his full name, address or telephone number. He cannot paint a Mona Lisa or even colour between the lines. He cannot throw a ball properly or catch a tennis ball- a soccer ball maybe. And he CANNOT speak 5 different Languages! But he can find where Mummy has 'hidden' the lollies!!!
I'm glad you've got your prioties in order Mel!!!!

Jacob is the same Lee, he goes to the toilet occassionally - I.E. When he feels like it, he counts... 1, 2, 4. Apparantly 3 is non-existent . And for colours - Everything is Blue... Oh yes, and he can smell Chocolate a mile away! Especially when i'm trying to be sneaky!

Wow.. Lill knows one two free Hi5 :p
Nah, Ive caught myself at times wondering why Lill can't do this, can't do that or whatever. But then seriously, all kids are great in their own little way.
Sure, Lill learnt how to say "Gracie" perfectly and call the cat perfectly before actually realising to get my attention she should call "mummy" (still working on that lol). But what she 'lacks' in language skills, she makes up socially.
I don't think I've ever met another kid her age who openly approaches family and friends for a hug or kiss, or is even aware (whilst pretending) that someone is upset and needs a hug.
Beautiful qualities if I do say so myself, and personally I think they are the more important ones in life.
Forget ABCs and J'adore la escargot, if a kid is happy, content, can react to any situation in the life they know and do it well (the good and the bad).. then their fantastic!
Humph. Way to get me ranting Lee!
Oh and please don't talk about weather. I hate HATE hot weather. It was 32 or 34 the other day?? I made it down the road and wanted to kill myself it was too hot to walk. It's not gonna be easy.
Oh and the fire prone hills are quite close. I very very much doubt the house will go up, but beside the orange glow at night and knowledge most fires won't be near homes.. every other part of it is gonna suck.
...And the bay was packed...
Did I also mention I hate school holidays??? :o

Don't worry- I hate hols too. And I'm going to hate them even more when Bailey is at school. I mean what am I suupsoed to do with him then? He wont be able to come to work with me (unless he can type 100wpm) and sending him to vacational care will be too expensive. Honestly, how did I ever think that parenting was going to be easy?

I'm so sorry i haven't been on here lately ladies. Sounds like you're all keeping each other busy with your venting posts. (I have to agree with you Lee about the perfectionist syndrome- it doesn't stop- it goes through to primary school too- speaking form my primary teaching experince).
I will try to come back soon to catch up.

Evening Ladies,
Adele's little party went really well and am very exhausted from hosting it. The children had a great time with the treasure hunt and helium ballons. Luckily none of the balloons escaped outside. The treasure hunt toys went down well as did the lolly bags which were made of felt with some nice design of a cat and a butterfly on them. Though they cost around $10 each, I only had to buy 2 so it was worth spending the same amount of money on the children for the party but with less children to buy for (3 in total) then the quality of toys and foods for the lolly bag was well worth it and more appreciated by the parents. The lolly bags consisted of little things that we usually buy for home like rice wheels, prepackaged snackabouts, lunchbox treats like bitesized apricot pieces, sultana box and other things like that. The fairy wand biscuits were a hit as were the cupcakes put together for her birthday cake. The take home cake I packaged into a plastic noodle box with a fairy wand biscuits and we also tied a helium balloon to the box as well.
Baileymoo: I know that thread you are talking about and it probaby is me that is one of those who are telling people what my DD can do! Actually, you are right in that it is hard not to get caught up in it all and for me, I just assume all toddlers are the same as mine until I hear differently. I hope that it wasn't my post that made you feel pressured and apologise to you if it was me. I don't feel too pressured about trying to compete or to make it seem that DD is more intelligent etc.. for her age. I don't even know what i am meant to be teaching her, she just learns. By the way, how did the stay at Nan and Pop's go and the night to yourself?
Mrs Little: hope that things are getting better on your end. Also can beleive that being that the type of competitiveness in parents extends into primary school.
One more week of school holidays......anyone bought their children some summer shoes yet? if so, what did you buy and from where? Am looking out for some sales for Adele as her shoes always cost more than mine.
Anyone interested in changing their job and training in something else? I am wanting to move out of nursing and into something else. Personal trainng has taken my fancy at the moment as I quite enjoy getting out to exercise and want to help out others who need motivation to exercise. I also have visions of starting my own business as well. What are your thoughts? I was hoping to target SAHM who find it difficult to exercise and would bring fitness to their homes.
off for a nightcap. have a good rest of the weekend.

Ok, only skimmed through. Don't have much time.
How did the atay at Nan & Pop's go? Well, as a result, Bailey is in hospital!!! He has had a cough for about a week now and last night he couldn't stop coughing and choked. He stopped breathing and than went into convoulsion. The ambulance was called, I was called and we are now staying over night to monitor the cough. What a great first stay over at Nan and Pop's!!!
He is fine now- playing, causing a muck but altogether just being Bailey.
Will fill you all in and do personals later.

I've also decided Lill needs a new dolly for christmas.. the one she carries around is Little Red Riding hood, with a hair-do that resembles something fashionable in the 70s.
It's not surpring though cause it is that bloody old! hehe I'm surprised Little Red Riding Hood lasted a childhood with me though :p

Hello Everyone,
Well, I'm back at work. I am so tired! I had to stop and buy lollies on the way to keep myself awake. I hope today goes quick and the run home isn't too bad.
Ok, doing personals from what I can remember
Leesh- I'm so sorry things are hard at the moment. It's a trying time. I don't think you need me to tell you things are going to get better so I'll just send you off big :hugs: and hope that things improve.
Ealing- kind of. I want to be out of my current job (boring) and into what I'm studying for. I want to do a little more in depth work in accounting, not just accounts receivable. All in good time! I think that sounds like a wonderful idea- my sis wanted to do personal training. I don't know if there's allot of money in it as you've got to consider insurance and everything but I definatley think there would be a niche market for Personal Trainers that take into consideration the kiddies. I suppose you'd have to consideration how would occupy the kiddies while Mum trains (just to make it more appealing so mum doesn't have to worry about kids nagging them at the feet while Mum is just trying to work on a six pack!!!)
Erin- That first 'Really Cute' photo is REALLY CUTE! I can imagone that one blown up and in a really nice frame. So is that one of her in the cot. So beautiful.
Tam- Of course she's going to be smart! Hahaha, I can defiantley wait til the 'what's that?' and 'why?' stage! :banghead:
Well, Bailey is back at daycare. He has been fine. The dr said that when we go and visit him he's going to prescribe him a special medication that is on authoritive script- I suppose this means he has to order it in rather than me obtaining it from the chemist. I'm guessing it must be pretty strong so I'm going to ask him what's the go, and what's the side effects and so on. I really miss him though and I just wanted to stay home and be with him all day. Today is going to be a tough day away from my little man. I hate having to work.
Last night, I woke up 3 times because I couldn't stop coughing. I'm going to go to the dr finially and hopefully get some antibiotics to get rid of this consistant cough.
Be back on later girlies.

Well, GREAT news. We got an appointment for the dr for tomorrow!!!:smiliedance: At 3pm, so Bailey can still go to daycare for majority of the day and I can still get things done (like STUDY)! the dr also BULK BILLS which is a huge load off my mind!
AND I found out that because I'm a pensioner still, I don't have to pay for the ambulance- a HUGE releif as when my Dad had a fit and we called an ambulance it cost $500!!!
Not that that's what your thinking when you need an ambulance- your just thanking the heavens that one is here FINALLY and hoping to God your baby is alright but it's the after affect that you start thinking, OMG, I'm sure as hell glad that my baby is ok but how the hell am I going to pay for all of this? It sure is a load off my mind, now I just have to afford the nebuliser! ($225!!! )
hi,
Great that Bailey is better but what a scary time for all. How did you find the hospital? How were Nan and Pop? I think that if you have private health sometimes ambulance cover is included, other times not. We don't have private cover for Adele as here in SA there is only pretty much one place we could take her and that is a public hospital in any case.
How is Tyler? Is the gastro over and are you feeling better?
Anyone heard from Mrs Little? Haven't seen her here for a bit....hope that things are getting better.
Tomorrow another "girlie" day with DD, myself and my mum. we are heading to Chinatown for lunch after we pick up something that I bought today but left it in my friends car boot! I bought Adele some foam alphabet squares to put on the floor as we have polished concrete floors in our living area downstairs and kitchen. I lilke sitting on the floor, but not when I get a cold and sore bottom!
Not long till school hols are over...have been avoiding the shops and only go there for minimal things.
Woolworths is having a huggies special here in SA, not sure if they are in the other states, you can buy a box of huggies for $28.95. Suffice to say I stocked up as did lots of other people yesterday!
take care for now

Lee, great to hear baily is doin much better. I know what ya mean about the ambulance i call one for tyler when she had a fever. They didnt even take her to hosp and it was goin to cost $278:eek: Lucky im a pensioner aswell i do have mbf so guess they would have paid some of the cost.
Ealing, Tyler is over it so am i:yes: today was out frist day of being over it. We had a great day we when over to my besties house. Then we when to the shops had a nice lunch them my parents come over for dinner. It was nice to just get out of the house:yes: Hope you have a great girls day 2morrow with your bubba girl:thumbsup:

Tam- you have private health cover? How come? And how do you afford it? I would not be able to afford private health cover to save me, than again I think allot of medical treatments are free, if not low in cost because I'm a pensioner. When I come off the pension though.....:(
Ealing- Geewhiz, $28.95? That's GREAT! We don't buy Huggies anymore as Bailey seems to be fine with Sunggles (he used to get nappy rash with snugglers as a baby) and I can hardly even afford them- living at home I could afford Huggies easily. Although I used to only buy them if they were $29.00 a box and than I would stock up and wait for the next sale.
Mrs Little and Melo- Where are you? I hope everything is ok.
Remember how Bailey to that previous daycare. For you Ealing, Bailey went to a daycare (we'll call them poo-poo head) and we had considerable trouble with them. I have no doubt they treated Bailey well but the treatment they gave me was not of high standard. Needless to say we are now at a different daycare and I can honestly say I cannot fault them. Bailey loves it, I love it, we all happy! Well, poo-poo head said before we left that they were working on portfolios on the kids and their development for the parents. Since leaving (in June) I have been in once and rung up twice to enquire if the portfolio is completed and it is STILL NOT!!!! I mean, come on. I am going to keep on hassling until I get my damn portfolio.
I also heard some not so great word-of-mouth about poo-poo head. Apparently for reasons I do not know, they have not passed accreditation twice and have had to 'fix' various things in order to be allowed to open. Now, I wonder if other parents that go there are aware of this and how I could find out more info........:devil6:
Well, we have our pead appointment this afternoon. Must go and visit my friend before going to pick Bailey up from school.

Thats awesome news, that you don't have to pay for the Ambulance! One less stress. Can you hire a nebuliser from the Chemist? When we were in QLD last year, and Jacob had the flu we hired one and it was only like $10 a week with a $50 deposit.

I wish we had Woolies here! What size Disposables is everyones child in? Jacob is in Junior, but they don't make them in boxes.. So it gets very expensive! I have Ava in cloth, so some saving there!

Well, we have our pead appointment this afternoon. Must go and visit my friend before going to pick Bailey up from school.
I'm here! Been a bit busy!
Good luck for the appointment today Lee, will be thinking of you!
So we are well over here. Jacob decided to start screaming last night, so I brought him into bed with us... Until he started flapping his arms around.. So I moved down to the end of the bed!!
When you guys go out somewhere - e.g. The shops, does your child feel the need to take 50,000 toys? Because Jacob does! And it is sh*tting me to tears!! He fills his arms up until he can't carry anymore!!
Well I best get going!

Those photos are a nice reminder that this country really is gorgeous where ever you go... I'm partially jealous of you Mel.. but I can live without the critters that roam out back areas! lol
I've only seen a couple of photos... they take some time to load. Jacobs looking all grown up!
Hmm Thanks Tam... Thanks Mel for starting that!
I'm worried about leesha?? That really wasn't a post to fill me with a whole heap of happiness. What is it Nahum has? Wind? Colic? Can never remember that stuff... Maybe that isn't going too well?
Anyway I did go to a meet today... was good, food rocked, Lill was up to no good as usual lol
Need small animal pens for small children... sure the hay may be a little too much, but if they can hold goats in, theres a good chance they'd survive 2 year olds. Maybe.
Now Im just dreaming. Probably should go to bed...

Oh goodness...
I can take a breath! Thanks for worrying about me everyone.
Nahum has reflux, just like Reuel did too. But i always knew there was something else going on- motherly instinct. But things got better for Reuel when he was about 10 months old and then again at 1.5 yrs old.
I have now seen THE BEST PAED. i have ever seen. I saw an awful amount of dr.s in penrith and they were all stuck up and always told me i just had a 'high needs baby' and would pat me on the back and tell me to go on my merry way!
Nahum has intolerances which has caused him serious amounts of pain and wind and stomach cramping, sleeplessness, etc etc! Serious enough that he has to go on script formula. These intolerances can also be related to reflux, but we wont know until he grows out of the intolerances. Reuel got better because he outgrew the intolerances. Most chn. do as they get older. I was lucky with Reuel though...he outgrew them at about 1 yr of age. Some chn. don't outgrow them till they are 2 or 3!
So now my life can go back to normal. Nahum is on meds for his reflux and now script formula for his intolerance (as of today). The only issue i have now is waiting for the gut and stomach to heal as a result of all the pain caused from the intolerant ingredient being in his body for the last 5 months! Shouldn't take more than a few weeks they say.
Sorry i don't have time for personals...i am buggered! i will endavour to come back on here over the next week...now that i have time again!!
Talk soon,

Leesha- I am sorry you had to go through all that with Reuel But I am glad you've got to the bottom of it and hopefully now you can rest a little easier.
Erin- now that Mel and Tam mention it I can see a resemblence. Are you sure you didn't have beer goggles on one night and mistake Steve Irwin for maybe.....
The pead (like Leesha's) was great. He was great with Bailey, making him laugh while pocking and prodding and actually agreed and beleived me when I said that I don't feel it is normal and it's been going on for 18months! Leesha- did you find that was the most rewarding part? The pead agreeing and beleiving you? Bailey is now on a chewable tablet that will hopefully stop the coughing and raspiness. And we will hopefully be off the tablet and puffers before Christmas, at least temporarily anyway.
Mel- I could hire, but as Bailey more than likely has asthma, I will need it long term. Even if he only has it as a child, it would take only 26 weeks to pay off the full amount it would cost to buy. 26 weeks is 6months. I wouldn't think Bailey would grow out of this (if he's going to grow out of it:fingerscrossed: ) until 4 or 5. I'm going to wait 2 weeks or so and see how this tablet and puffer go. I've got no choice really either because I can't afford it in 2 weeks time anyway.
Speak to you ladies later.

So true. We have one that my mum picked up from her next door neighbours garage sale for $15! Score
...and Lee... bugger off :p
Crikey, what was that?! :p
hi ladies,
great to hear that the children have seen fantastic paed drs and that their health issues have been taken seriously and some course of positive action has been taken also. It is true that some drs make you feel like an idiot, don't have time for you to listen to what you are trying to tell them. hopefully there is some peace of mind to some degree that there is a diagnosis and with medications that will help their condition.
The fairy wand biscuits were so fun and yummy for Adele's party, we nearly bought another pack to make, but found instead this cake mix which instead of putting them into patty pans you put into icecream cones and then bake..will let you know how this goes. Was going to do this for her party but wasn't sure about the cones in the oven.
off to bed...quite tired today.

erk...how crappy for you lee! We always feel like we're going backwards too. I don't think we are ever going to be earning enough money to not be going backwards....i think it's a trap. LOL.
I wrote you all a special message
SPECIAL MESSAGE (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=128153)
Nahum seems to be doing better and better each day...just can't wait for all his symptoms to disappear totally.
Erin- crocodile man invasion in your house? CRICKEY!!!
Tam- hows the sick family going? all better? How are you going with your depression stuff?
Melo- boy..Ava is growing up so quickly. I can't believe how quickly the 2nd one just seems to just spurt up. Nahum is in size 0 and 1's already. My chubby 8.9kg boy! She still BF?
Talk soon,
Mrs Little & Sons.
hi,
thank goodness for the weekend, though DH has to work all day tomorrow which I am ok with, but would have been nice for Adele to see her dad since he has been working quite long hours this week and getting back home after she has gone to bed.
Firstly, Mrs Little, many thanks for the special message. Just read it from your previous post. Though I don't feel that I have really helped in anyway, I am pleased that your children are better and always remember that you know your child better than anyone else.
Baileymoo: Shame about your car needing to be fixed. What needs fixing? I am dreading the service in a couple of months that our car needs. DH wants them to do some detailing where the scratches have been also due to heaving lots of luggage in and out of the boot in recent months as well as me parking in the shopping centre alot.
Off to bed now....enjoy the weekend.
I've heard of these. Would love to know how they turn out.

Wow! Nahum is nearly heavier then her! I need to get Ava weighed actually (Take mental note Mel - To call CHN for appointment!).
We are still breastfeeding, although I am starting to wean her. I feel guilty for doing it, but boy oh boy I have a new sleeping baby ever since i've introduced formula!

Cheers Leesha ... as ealing said, don't think I've really done anything? lol
..Anyway, ealing is now my new bestfriend coz you all pay out on me and my gorgeous little Lill!! hehe
Can tell nothing much is going on here hey? Had a couple of storms yesterday, was weird. I'm used to having the one big storm pass over and then that's it. But seems yesterday we get every single one heading out to sea. Add that to the wind... and sheesh! Was waiting to fly away like Dorothys house in Wizard of Oz.
Unfortunately, didn't wake up surrounded by munchkins (she's still asleep).
Otherwise have had a couple of bad days, wondered if the silly little pills are working. But just had triggers that I had no way to control.. hate that, not being able handle some parts of my life - do you do that Tam? Pain in the butt honestly!
I endeavour today to make it better though. I've had 2-3days of not walking and eating chocolate.. I feel bad! lol
hmm Lills awake... be good :)

Lee, That not good about your car sorry to hear that:hugs: I hope things get better soon. How is bailey doin:confused:
Mrs little, Your message was very sweet. The depreeion is a long long way to being fixed or me finding a way to deal. I have my good and bad days i try to just remember the good day. Does'nt alway work that way but i have alot of support from my family, mate and you guys. So hopefully i will try to learn to deal a bit better soon:fingerscrossed: I'm so glad Nahum is getting better

Oh thats my new fantasy! I wanna be a presenter on Playschool! hehe
Oh Tam I so know what you mean about missing one! I think these are doing a good job, I mean the other day was my first trigger in.. what 2-3 months??
But I take one with my morning coffee... If I missed one I'm usually screaming in an hour and then wondering "wtf is wrong with me!!"
...AHH TAM AND LEE IMPORTANT!!(And EALING if your in Sydney)
Is there anything in the way of furniture/appliances that you guys are after??
I ask this because next week I will be getting my hands on some pretty decent freebies (rich relatives rock).. and I don't need much myself, but if you guys are after anything I'll keep an eye out.
(personally getting myself a new fridge.. so will also have an old one to get rid of lol)
Otherwise I'm hoping to negotiate with whats left and finding homes for people who need it...
-You can PM if you like :)

Thats very nice of you erin:yes: Have you had any more stroms?
hi there,
MumforOne: wow, a new bestie!!! Fantastic! Thanks and your DD is very cute. Thanks for the offer as well regarding the rich relatives and what they are giving away. I wish I was in Sydney, but sadly not, in Adelaide. I really would like an outdoor setting for our area but it is just one of those things which "aren't absolutely necessary" at the moment so will hold off. Again, many thanks for thinking of me.
Tyler's Mum: Hope that you enjoyed your day to yourself. I also felt at times that my meds for PND weren't doing anything and even after being on them for just over 12 months I am really loving how I feel, back to my old self again, pre-preg days. I haven't had a depressive or suicidal thought, or have felt that things are getting too hard or feeling the pressure to get everything "just right" for DD and DH. They don't pressure me, it is me putting that pressure on myself in terms of getting dinner out on time etc..for us all. My GP increased my meds by just a fraction nearly 5 weeks ago now and have been really feeling fantastic. Though this may be too much info, but even the love life has taken right off which is a first since I became pregnant in 2005 and really am enjoying it, like I used to when we first started going out and then when we were married! I never thought that I would feel like the old me again and am so glad that the old me has returned! Persevere with the meds, it may take a few tries to get the right dosage for you to start feeling like "you" again or even a switch in meds to get the right one, but once the GP gets it right, it all is worth it. How did Tyler enjoy the zoo?
Mrs Little: hope that the meds are working well for the little one.
A shame that hubby had to work today as Adele and I had a fantastic time at my parents house. We went to the post office firstly for my little errands and then moved onto a different set of shops for morning tea which was lovely. Mum looked after Adele and I by cooking lunch, feeding Adele as well as then cooking us dinner and feeding her again. She even packaged dinner for myself and DH in takeaway containers so I didn't have to cook tonight. Was quite yummy with a vindaloo curry (a bit hot for me), some rice and vegetables! So nice to be looked after. Adele had a great time there and for the first time, slept there for her day nap which was good.
Not too sure what is in store for tomorrow; fingers crossed that it will be fun and relaxing with just the 3 of us regardless of what we do.
have a good night ladies.

Wow, so much going on. Ok- where to begin...
It might that time of the month but Leesha, you're special message bought tears to my eyes. I didn't realise things were so bad with Reuel and I really am sorry for you not being able to enjoy those first few months with him. On the other and I am really glad the pead was able to find a solution for Nahum and you are both on the road to better days. It must feel like Christmas all at once in your heart to be able to enjoy your kidlets once again.
I can't remember any other posts.
Oh, what does everyone's kiddies weigh (incl Ava and Nahum)? I got Bailey weighed at the drs on Thursday and he weighs a massive 11.7kg!! I can't believe how much weight he's put on! My little man is getting bigger everyday!!!
I went to get my bed today and they're out of stock!!! AM I not meant to have this bed?
Anyway, gotta go get lunch. Talk later.
Mrs Little

Hiya Guys.
I know you all might not have felt like you haven't done much for me. But really you have. You allowed me to vent in here. You allowed me to forget how craaaap life was for a few minutes. I often got to read your posts, but never got to reply. I saw in some posts that you wondered where i was.
Anyways. Things are conitnuing to improve..slowly. Nahum is on meds for his reflux and he is on script formula for his intolerance. But it's going to take up to 3 weeks for all the offending substance (we dont know what he's intolerant too at the moment) to leave his system. So i have to wait for this long till i see a big change. So some days are still a struggle..but i tell Nahum that i promise the pain will go away soon and never come back.
We had Nahum weighed 2 weeks ago. He was 8.8kgs then. He should get weighed again in 2 weeks when we go back to the paed. Reuel is 17kgs (that was about 3 months ago anyways) and he's in size 3 clothes. I can't get over it...he's such a big boy now. He's talking more and more each day. Sleeps in his own big bed, started TT and it's going really well so far. Once the toilet training is done then it will be getting rid of the dummy in sleep time.
Lee-..i'm interested in knowing which paed. you went to. I went to sooooooo many for Reuel and never found a good one.
Tam- how was your day by yourself the other day?
Ealing- what does your DH do?
Erin- did you know that if you become a presenter on 'playschool' then you're the BEES KNEES! (for an actor/actress anyways). Apparently everyone wants the playschool gig!
Talk later,
Mrs Little & Sons.

My day all alone was pretty good i clean the house, watch some tv made a yummy potato bake for lunch/dinner and then spend some time on line. Then my sister picked me up and i when with her to drop tyler of to my parents. Tyler had a really good time at the zoo. I really ejoy it some peace is always good.
Ealing, My meds got increased a week after tyler was born then again when she was about 7months. Pnd is the worst feeling ever i feel so cheated that i never got to have the joys of becoming a frist time mum. It took me about 6months before i started to feel like i was a mum. I still have days when i dont feel like a mum or have a hard time dealing with it all. I wish i could do it all over again.
Mrs little, Im glad to hear things are getting better with Nahum:yes: I plan to do the same with the dummy i wanted to take her off it now. But she started to suck her thumb  so thought i would give it a bit longer

heh.. yeah I know, hence why it is just a fantasy these days.
Probably a safe bet anyway since yesterday while dancing around and singing silly songs, I managed to knee the doorway and have a huge bruise now! hehe
Least it didn't swell.. have to be grateful for something:p
Lill went to chloes birthday yesterday (Ashleigh's daughter), all dressed up in her naughty and nice outfit :D Will figure out where to put the photos later to show you all.
But basically, Lill found the cupcakes yesterday and I think she snuck off with 4 ... could've been more but she started to hide them from me
...Yep, she was bouncing all night...
But she seems a lot more energetic today? I'm pretty sure the sugar has passed lol But even yesterday she was more chatty. Think she was telling me about her day, so I can safely assume she had fun :)
Thats all thats going on at the moment...
Oh thats right, I think Lill still weighs around the 11kg mark. We don't go to the doc these days, but she stands on the scales...
LilShenanigans
15-10-2007, 11:00
Photobucket is *&*&@# @*(&#@*($ Me...
Lill was in the bathroom today and she was checking out the loo. So opportunity right? I got out her toilet seat cover thingy, whacked it on, and put her on whilst explaining whats supposed to happen (why do I bother? lol).
Anyway, fairly appropriate to say "When you sit here you can do a wee or a poo instead of doing it in your nappy! Wouldn't that be so cool!!".
Well, she didn't do anything, but she wanted to hop up there twice... so I'm thinking this is her wanting to give it a go. And she wasn't scared either.
Funny though, her reward will be toilet paper and pressing the button... ahh how she loves that toilet paper.
Just hoping she doesn't chuck a whole roll into the loo ... as she did some weeks ago
tyler's mum
15-10-2007, 19:55
Erin. Tyler still thinks its a game to just sit on the toilet every 5 mins:yes: She just want to try and get the toilet paper
I only got tyler weight a few weeks ago but i forget:o i know she was 91cms will get her weight and let ya's
know:D
Mrs little. Wow 17kgs he doesnt look that big in pic's is he tall?
SimplyMum
16-10-2007, 07:01
OMG- 17kgs? That's huge. I am gonna to keal over and LMAO when he gets to the stage where he wants to wrestle with Daddy. I wonder who'll come out worse off? I know you probably don't want to hear this about your baby boy just yet but there's nothing sexier than a tall manly man!!!:p
Erin- a presenter on playschool hey? I can't say I'd ever dreamt about a playschool career. Teacher maybe, Mummy maybe but a playschool presenter- there's always a strange one to the bunch. Although I am very pleased to hear that it's playschool and not Seseme Street. I never really like Seseme Street- I couldn't work out what was so great about it. Playschool girl all the way here!
Tam- that is a bit dissapointing about not enjoying motherhood but it's never too late. BTW what was that networking thing you sent me? I had to accept you? I already accept you Tam!!! Yuo're already my friend!
Leesha- actually, yeah if you could tell me your experiences with any peads you've remembered from Peno- that would be GREAT! Our pead is Dr Keey Brown; he's big guy with a BIG belly! Like Bailey!!!
Speaking of that- I don't know that Bailey is getting any better. He's still really rattly. I hope this clears it up- I'm sick of 'problems'!!!
I didn't end up getting my bed yesterday- they're still not in stock. I'm going to call today and than go in tomorrow. Hopefully they are in stock otherwise I probably wont be able to go again til next week. I kinda feel like me and the bed is not meant to be!

Lee, you may have missed this...
Basically, I won't be going down to sydney this week to look at stuff. My sister has been, is considering just taking a lot of whats there.
Good news is, there is a dryer :yelclap:
We're thinking about hiring a truck and working something out from there. Just on the off chance we can't bring something around to you Tam, plan B would be to leave it at my dads (Wentworthville) and work out a pick up from there.
Um, nothing will be picked up til end of this month.
Again, Lee if you need anything in the way of appliances or furniture, please let me know.

Erin- I am in need of a coffee table and 2 lamp tables.
I am going to apply for Rent Start for the bond. After paying for my car I'm going to be really scraping to get everything together before my sis moves out.
[CENTER][COLOR="Purple"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]other day?
Ealing- what does your DH do?
My husband is a structural engineer and presently is working for Telstra, upgrading all the CDMA sites and implementing the Next G network. In response to the criticism that Next G consumers were having in certain parts of Australia (saying that the CDMA network was working better - CDMA is the network that most people in the country use) Telstra and the Govt had made a date that all the sites (in the Next G network) would be up an runing by Oct 14th, hence the long hours last week and the need to work on that Sat. Thankfully that has now passed and now just office work rather than site visits.
Baileymoo: Have you managed to get your bed yet?
Adele weights around 12-13kg and is 88cm tall. Everyone thinks that she is tall for her age, but I think that she is about average in height. She too has a facination with the toilet paper and managed to throw an entire roll in a friend's toilet when we were visiting a couple of months back. Felt dreadful, but more dreadful in having to fish out that soggy roll out of the loo!
I can't remember who said that they use Snuggler nappies, best check out Woolworths as here in SA a pack of 72nappies is going for half price at $12.95.
Have sent DH out to get a pack!
keep well ladies.

Lee, Did you know you can get a $500 loan from centerlink thats if you havent already got one this year? If chance of getting another flat mate:confused:
ealing, Tyler is 91 cms she is tall for her age. I have alot of little cousin older then tyler (only a few months) and she is taller then all of them. Must be the age tyler is the same with toilet paper. She just wants to sit on the toilet every 5 mins cause she thinks she will get toilet paper:rolleyes: Ive had to put the paper up high so she cant get it

Oh this weight and height talk reminds me of a convo the other day!
Woman: How old is she?
Me: 2 years old
Woman: Wow! Really? She's big for a 2 year old!
Me: *Scoff* how many 2 year olds have you met??
Hey did I tell you guys about the hassles with my grandfathers property and estate stuff caused by a certain married into family member (uncles wifey poos?).. anyway, she's at it again and wants to auction off most of the stuff they are getting rid of - to people who have just bought properties mind you. She makes me
Basically, we are waiting on what comes of marital arguments lol But, the dryer is a definate (among a few other things). I know they have a coffee table.. but at this stage can't promise anything.
Keeping in mind, by selling their stuff they could get a pretty penny and a lot of people these days are money hungry.
Makes me sick.
Ok, seriously, I've become some sort of happy hippy love peace money don't rule man make love not war person. hmm I'm going to blame the salt air.
Ealing, thanks for the reminder! I got the catalogue last friday. It's part of this weeks sales (til Sunday).. and "Snugglers Jumbo Nappies pk56-72 $12.94, saving of $13.05 - for anyone else who is interested to know
Tam, if Im getting it for free it's cool, save ya cash for more important things!! .. thats the point really :p
Speaking of distance, it shouldn't take long straight down the M4 or hwy. My dads right near the hwy(fun growing up lol) and he's said it's cool to drop there if we can't bring it out.
Oh geeze, I suppose stuff has been happening here too?
Um yesterday,I think, got an email.. step mother is in hospital, appendix probably. My sister headed out and I've offered to come down and help out. As I won't be driving down tomorrow I'm pretty free all week hey :o
The boys are doing well though, my dads a little run off his feet and considering taking the rest of the week off work.
Someone was supposed to call me tonight with an update but I betcha it was supposed to be my sister and she forgot
Oh well, know the SM won't be happy.. she hates hospitals..
ahh geeze, and I went for a swim today and realised I may have to buy new board shorts .. I nearly lost them :o
So I came home and put on a dress in a size lower then what Im used to.. so of course I treat myself to Magnum Ego :p
..It kinda made my night!

I started a tafe coumputer course at the school that tyler go's to play group at. Best part is its free (oh i take that back about getting nothing free erin:p ) It go's for 8 weeks and you learn the basic about the computer which is great i only know how to chat:laughing: Its in the play group room so tyler gets to play why i learn and i get a certificate

That's great Tam. Sounds like a great course to do- it will definately help you out if you ever look to get back into the work force.
Well, I'm home today- Bailey had a runny diahere (sp?- how do you spell it?) nappy so to go back he has to get a dr's clearence and have had no diahere poos for 24hrs. He's fine though- you can tell he's not sick.
They have Christmas emicons :xmastree: :reindeer: . Oh my- I can't beleive Christmas is less than 3 months away. It's almost 2 months!!!
Well, I rang my friend at the recruitment agency. I might be able to get into a full time job in approx 2 weeks. The only thing is this full time job is in Parramatta and they do not have their own parking.
My sister is having medical problems. She went scitzo yesterdy at her partner and started laying into him. She ended up giving him a black eye. We're trying to get her into a dr and pyshcyatrist. Wish us luck.

18-10-2007, 08:21
bugger lee, hope you sister gets the help she needs!
As for parking in Parramatta, depending on where in parramatta you can probably park in the suburbia parts... I wouldn't even bother trying westmead and catching a train in - it's shocking!
There is one parking area thats the cheapest (always has been) that would be a good option too.
Just thought I'd let ya know.

I've been awake since 6am. I slept on the couch because I had a couple of baby spiders in my room which is not cool. I killed them, and feared vengence from their mother in the middle of the night.
Not that she'd really notice anyway, she has about 500 more to keep an eye on. Maybe I did her a favour? :p

Back at work today. The need for a full time job is making me quite anxious. I really need to find one and I'm thinking about putting my name down for a company that I used to temp for but not the job I used to do- I want to put my name down for an account manager (which was on offer 6months ago and I don't know of they filled it or not). :fingerscrossed: Although I have a feeling they would have filled it by now.
Not much to report on here. My sis didn't get to the dr yesterday but she is going to one this morning and taking along her partner and my Dad (and maybe my mum) so hopefully they will sort something out.

Erin- you are DEFINATETELY NOT a 'dumb butt' (although that's clearly an intelligent use of words there- dumb butt!!! )
I didn't know you wanted to move- I thought you really liked where you are- the house, the street the area etc. Will you move around Tuggerah? Bailey godfather's family have a holiday place at Tuggerah Lakes- nice area.

You know I do love the area and my neighbours! It's a great place... I just always knew this house wasn't a permanent.. it was just here so I didn't have to drive up once or twice a week! lol
I had my heart set on the bay, but you know being up here I know that a place that is say, 10ks west is still only about 5 minutes down the road .. thats the best part! I guess I'll just keep my eye on the rentals... I would really love a 3bed place again and I know I can get nicer houses for upto $30 cheaper, in nice areas...
I think I need to be near a shopping centre, tuggerah is good, erina annoys me or theres lake haven.
hehe and I am dumb butt.. :p don't knock the dumb butt!

Well, today is REALLY boring.
My bed is in. but my Mum's car broke down this morning on the way to work so I'm not sure if we're going to be able to get it now. :(
My sis went to the doc. They put her on a different medication, she also got her adnoids checked (apparently this can cause mood swings?). They're also going to try and get her into the phsyc more oftern. Like twice a week. I hope this works out.
The full story is that they were talking about moving out and Ant was holding Ethan and said something like 'I know we're we can get a cheap fridge'. Skye took this the wrong way (in what way I don't know) and started laying into Ant while he was holding Ethan. She gave him a black eye (saw it- doesn't look good), so Ant picked Ethan up and took off.
I'm not sure what Ant thinks about moving out now or if he is going to be able to leave Ethan with Skye anymore. Skye said that she would never hurt Ethan but how can we be sure? She hurt Ant while Ethan was in his arms which could have resulted in hurting Ethan. Apart from the fact that this will effect Ethan as he grows older.
I really hope that this doc gets to the bottom of this and my sis gets help. She needs it.

omg that auction just goes oooooooooorrrrrrrrrrnnnnnn and orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnn!! lol It's kind a funny though!
I hope the doctors work out whats wrong with your sister. Your right, you can't be sure of what she'll do.. you probably wouldn't have expected her to do what she did in the first place!
I feel badly for Ethan.. well more so when he's older, he'll notice then:(
oh and still problems with the bed?? Is that the third, or fourth sign that you probably shouldn't have it?:o

 You crack me up Erin. Yeah probably the 3rd or 4th sign! Still getting it though! :D
Yeah, I do feel for Ethan. That kind of thing can really mess with a kids head. So much pressure for a little dude. Especially when it turns around to the child taking care of the Mum- the pressure would be agonizing. It reminds me of the movie 'the Boy' (I think that's what it's called). With Hugh Grant in it and the mother keeps on crying and attempts suicide. Oh, it's heartbreaking.

ahh yes About a Boy.. never really viewed it from that perspective.. but then, as movies do, it all worked out in the end
So long as your sister has people around her and making sure it's all working, then I don't think Ethan will go down that path.
It's the same deal with my brothers, they'll always know there are people around to help.
Oh geeze.. its only 4pm and Im already starting to yawn!

Yeah, and Ant is wonderful with him. So's Skye, she's just got so much more going on in that head of hers. I really admire Ant for sticking around and supporting her through this- I know allot of guys that would take advantage of this situation or not have the balls to stick it through. My heart and thanks go out to him.

ahh true true.. sounds good :D
Can barely string a sentence together.
My sister invited me to the crowded house concert :smiliedance: ...coz nobody else likes them lol Should be fun, get to act like a crazy person.
Will be driving to sydney this weekend, really didn't want to... but this whole furniture/whitegoods thing makes me do stuff like that. It's working out though, so least thats something.
Im so ready for bed and Lills so not
hiya all,
Lots to catch up on.
Baileymoo: Firstly, I agree that it seems like you are never going to get your bed in your place!! Hope that when it does arrive you sleep really well on it as you may be loosing sleep wondering if it is ever going to come! Also hope that your sister manages to get some help and her visits to the specialist also.
EEEEK spiders aren't really my thing either. Anything with more than 4 legs really creeps me out, no matter how small they are. A few months ago DH bought a spider in with his shoes. I saw something scurrying along the floor (didn't have my glasses on) and sprayed it. As it turned out when I went to put it in the bin it was a redback! more eeeekkkk! WE have alot of those daddylongleg ones in the garage also, thoughthey are "harmless" as their bite is so small, they still creep me out.
Had a couple of hours off tonight and went to the movies on some free tickets. Can't say that Rush Hour 3 was fantastic, though the fight scenes are always good to watch and most of the film was set in Paris which was nice to see again after holidaying there. Mum and dad also enjoyed babysitting though they didn't have to do much since ADele was in bed when they got here.
Are you girls having nice weather? What are you plans for the weekend? We are going to have 32c tomorrow and 35c on Sunday; a trip to the beach is in order. Also planning to check out a new gym (would like to lose 5kg to get back to my pre-marriage weight and to get ready for my friend's wedding in May).
Enjoy the night.

Hiya Ladies,
I unexpectdly have some time to myself.
My niece has given everyone in our family (and grandparents) her lovely cold. So now we're all sick.
Both the boys are in bed together for a change!! Reuel has been so sick and tired that he's been sleeping all over the place!
I measured Reuel's height yesterday. 96cm. He's not a fat kid..lol...he's very lean actually..but very tall. So he can get away with being 17kgs!
Lee- so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope for Ethans sake that she can sort through her issues. Especially if she has such a great partner...
So have you got the bed yet?
Erin- so where are u going to move then? live on the streets huh?
Tam- how are things going? Your posts seem a lot more positive. Hope things are getting better for you.
Ealing- do you have any other children than DD?
Melo- i can't believe your only 21! I didn't realise...sorry i'm a bit slow lately. I hope you have a big celebration planned!!
Talk to you all soon,

Mr little, I have my good and bad days but things are starting to feel a little normal again.
[SIZE="6"][
Its my b'day 2morrow im goin to be 27 wow im getting old almost 30:eek:
*sigh* some of us are already past 30!! Ah, the words of being young!! lol! in saying that, I still think 40 is old and will be there in 9 years more - no offence intended to those who have already reached that age (or beyond it).
Mrs Little: hope that eveyone is getting better with the colds. Make sure that you pass it back to your niece who gave everyone the cold in the first place! Also, Adele is our only DD. Not really planning for anymore at the present due to my PND (which is alot better this past 5-6 weeks) as well as some plans to return overseas to work/holiday again. With one child a bit more easier to cope logistically and financially. Can only now think about the possiblity of having another child, but still that whole labour and giving birth thing really freaks me out (even though I have done it with DD!)
Melo: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Man, 21.....that was 10 years ago......*sigh* those were the good days I remember that they were really fun when I was at uni then and just about to start work. Celebrate in style and have a wonderful time.
Had a lovely day off from Adele today and she spent the entire day with DH. I went shopping with my mum and got a great bargin at Harris Scarfe sale with a pair of cross trainer sneakers for .....get this....$48! Don't get me wrong, they aren't the usual high powered brand, just Sfida brand, but they were the most comfy that I tried on. All in preparation for the new gym starting on Monday. Went and had a look, looks like a lot of cardio work which I am looking forward to but will see how I go on the free trial week.
Also managed to buy a skirt, top and a cardigan which was a treat to get as clothes shopping with adele is sometimes a bit hard. Funnily enough, the entire outfit matches and will be wearing it to my friend's sons baptism next month! So nice when it all works out as I wasn't looking for an outfit specifically for that occasion, just so happens I can wear it for it!
Off to watch tonights DVD...Behind Enemy Lines 2.
enjoy the weekend....to the beach tomorrow...35C here.
hi again,
Can you beleive that I was overcharged for the top that I bought yesterday by just over 50%! lost sleep over it lastnight as I thought that it was cheaper than what the docket actually said. Anyhow, managed to recover the money which was nice.
HOt day here in Adelaide, headed to the beach this morning (half of Adelaide at the beach there too!). WAs nice, but lots of flies and not much breeze.
Start of the working week tomorrow....why to the weekends go so fast and the weekdays go on and on and on??

anyway. happybirthday Mel for the other day!! I tried to get on but the page wouldn't load  Got fed up and left hehe
Ha Leesh! If I lived on the streets Id have to contend with spiders AND snakes.. bugger that! :p
Oh well, pretty uneventful weekend here. Lill got loaded with old toys from my cousins, then my dad brought around two (ugly UGLY) dolls for her - their made that way really, I think it's intentional to be ugly! So she's got toys all over the place right now.
I checked out the fridge, it's huge! I can already see I may only be using two shelves of it. There wasn't much in the way of furniture they were finally deciding to get rid of... bit of a bummer really.
I did manage to get my grandfathers old vac... it's an upright hoooooooover lol soooo bloody old but those things last a lifetime, and my one carked it ages ago.
Lill had a good weekend though. She played with my cousins dog - shes more comfortable around animals then people! Then when we got back to my sisters she played very well with my brothers which is good. It may just be my dads house that she feels awkward in.
Im so glad I started packing extra extra clothing not that long ago.. she went through 3 outfits yesterday!

Tam- sounds like you had a great day. A BBQ? WOW! That's fantastic! You are defiantely spoilt and loved!
Mel- how was your day? Seeing as you haven't posted all weekend, can I assume you have a BIG night?
hiya all,
Lots to catch up on.
Baileymoo: Firstly, I agree that it seems like you are never going to get your bed in your place!! Hope that when it does arrive you sleep really well on it as you may be loosing sleep wondering if it is ever going to come! Also hope that your sister manages to get some help and her visits to the specialist also.
So have you got the bed yet?
Funny you should mention this as on Firday they said it was in so my Dad and I borrowed a friends ute and went and picked it up! Well, I we picked up the wrong one! We picked up a Double instead of a Queen and sisn't realise until we went to put it up and the mattress wouldn't fit on it. I'm trying to get IKEA to come pick up the wrong one and deliver the correct one! OMG guys- something is definately working against me in reg to this bed! And ERIN......before you say it, yes this would have to be the 8th sign I shouldn't get this bed!!!! BUT I LIKE IT!
I measured Reuel's height yesterday. 96cm. He's not a fat kid..lol...he's very lean actually..but very tall. So he can get away with being 17kgs!
WOW! He is going to be one TALL kid!!!
Tam- I understand that Tyler was quiet. She and Bailey hadn't seen each other for ages AND she had never been to my house. I probably wouldn't talk either.
Erin- I would LOVE to see crowded house. They are such an iconic Australian band!
Speaking of concerts. I'm going to see Black Eyed Peas. My friend won tickets and she has asked me to go! I can't wait. I'm so excited. The last concert I went to was in 2001? And it was Kylie Minoque. It was very good though.
I also might be applying for another job. In an accounting business. It's local in the Penrith area and it's for a traineee. Wish me luck!:fingerscrossed:
Talk later girlies.

Welllllll, I rang IKEA! Well, IKEA rang me! BUT when I told them the whole storey there response was that it was negligent on both parts and they would NOT pick up or re-deliver the correct bed but they would give me a $30 store voucher out of goodwill.
I went on to say that although in hindsight I should have cross martched the barcodes, the customer service guy showed me and helped me get it in. Why on earth would I question someone who works in the damn store day in and day out over someone who has only stepped foot in the store 3 times?
He than increased the store voucher to $40.
My response? What did I have to say I hear you ask? Well, I than gave my all important speal that a $40 store voucher isn't going to help me get the bed back to IKEA and the correct one back out to me. I'm a single parent and I can't afford the $70 delivery charge, hence the reason I borrowed a ute in the first place.
His reply? Can I call you back in a few minutes. Yeah, sure, fine with me.
He calls me back saying that ok, they will organise an exchange with them covering the cost. :smiliedance:

Ok Tam, I dont think your alone. Tyler is a vicious kid too right? It was you asking about that? lol
Anyway, I've had a couple of bad days with lill, and then tonight at bedtime she decided to whack me in the face twice!! It was so hard not to scream at her, but she did get a smack earlier today she wasn't expecting!
You know it got to the point today where I'm finding that I'm very ready to put her into childcare. I've just had enough. It's not that I can't handle it, I just don't want to handle it every single god damn day!
And the same thing. Every night this week I've had the worse headache imaginable.. and it's been because she's been squealing and carrying on.. and I'm just up for too long! I'm exhausted!
I don't know what to do with her, I think we're going for the three strikes and your out system... maybe tomorrow will be the defining day where I dump her into a centre and RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN!
hmmm oh well. I've earned tonights mini mud cake ..

Hahaha, Erin and Tam- well, you guys both lasted longer than I did! I'm not cut out to be a SAHM- I don't have as much patience as you guys do!
For Bailey to go to daycare I get 100% CCB which I don't know the EXACT numbers but it works out it's about 50% of the childcare costs. At the moment, I'm paying $125 a week (with JET childcare) but next year when I go full time I will be paying $160 (not JET childcare. Each day costs about $65 and I have to pay about about $30 and CCB covers the rest. That's without JET assistance. I wont explain how JET works- it's too confusing.
Well, got lots more to say but will save it for tomorrow because this computer regulary freezes!

You know, your parents are half right... it's just the age, but if you let them take an inch with that excuse, they'll take a mile! Gotta keep these midgets in check :p
I'm thinking Lill may have excess energy... Maybe an hour would do her good? I'm not sure. I could just take her to a play centre and let her release there.
We've kind of had a good day, the budget has been going well so we went and got some stocking fillers. Some awesome stuff like a deck of cards.. in A4 size! Some princess shoes, big dice, pack of cars, bangles... just ordinary boring stuff from the reject shop. Kmart also had some cute little things for like $2. Oh and price attack has character bath soap/suds things for like $2.50 each. I got Lill all the wiggles. Wanted dorothy so I could get wags and henry as well, but no dorothy
I'm actually quite excited about xmas this year, I think its cause Lill can enjoy it now. I've been writing my cards as well! It's nothing major in the pressie department though, I'm looking at what doll to get Lill.. there are so many gorgeous ones out there! She's getting her trike, and whatever ends up in the santa sack. You know what, I have a feeling the total will be under $150.. haven't bought a doll yet, so currently spent under $100.
Wow.. Im proud of myself for that!!
*thinking aloud* the only present I really have to buy now is my sisters.. :D
No wonder I'm excited!! I'm not stressed out! LOL

26-10-2007, 06:49
Erin- Well done for keeping the budget under $150! That's awsome- you should be proud of yourself!
Mine is going to be under at least $500 which I'm actually REALLY happy with. I like what I've got Bailey for Christmas and I'm not having 2nd thoughts about anything- so it's great!
My bed arrives today! They rang up yesterday to confirm and also sent me a txt to give me (or my sister) a 3hr time window- which is a fantastic idea! So hopefully everything will work out this time round!:fingerscrossed:
Yesterday Mum gave me some money to buy my bed linen. I bought the set from the front page of the target catologue.
http://www.target.com.au/html/catalogue/catindex.htm It's really nice. I can't wait to get it all set.
Tam- like Erin said, the age is a factor. But if you start using that excuse all the time- suddenly the 'midgets' are thinking it's okay to hit, kick, not eat their dinner because where not doing anything about it because we're always making excuses.
Erin- definatley take her to a kids play centre. But make sure you have a little bit of $$$ so you can relax a little and get yourself maybe a hot chocolate, coffee or milk shake. You deserve a break- you're such a great Mum.
Leesha- how's little Nahum going? I hope the reflix is under control or better yet, getting better.
Mel- where are you chickie? What's Ava and Jacob up to lately?
Yesterday my Mum and Skye came over and Skye did something I really didn't like. She came in out of the kitchen and kicked her leg really close to Bailey's face. I know she was only joking and messing around but it was just a little too close for comfort. And it was really hard and really fast. I feel kinda guilty but I just would NEVER leave Bailey alone in her care. I'm too scared she'll flip out and seriously hurt him. It really scares me actually, even when I'm there. I just want to take him off her and say 'Don't touch him'.
LilShenanigans
26-10-2007, 07:33
Ahh Lee.. don't feel guilty, I think majority of people would feel the same way you do...
Speaking of leaving kids, I realised something bad the other day.
When my sister asked me to the concert she asked if I'd let her b/f babysit. Which I actually would. We were talking about it, and realised I wouldn't let my family babysit. I don't think any of them really understand Lill, at the moment I'd be very comfortable leaving her in the care of my sister, her b/f or my bestfriend.
Is that strange??
I was talking to my step mum last night, you can tell when I need company cause I just talk and talk and talk.. you can't shut me up! We were talking about the boys eating dinner, and I realised I'm not alone.
If the kids don't want dinner SM just leaves it, but if dads around he'll actually throw it out lol
And I do the same with Lill, if she won't sit down and eat dinner or says she doesnt want it, I get rid of it!
It was quite funny to realise we do the same thing actually.
I'm glad though that my sister went over the other day while SM was in hospital to mind the kids. Their great kids but highly misunderstood. Basically my sister read them a couple of books and then said "alright, time to go to sleep" and they just went to sleep.
Now mostly, the boys get up a play (their both in beds cause their climbers!) or wander back outside and won't go to sleep. But they went straight to sleep for my sister.
So, now dad and SM do the same thing, just tell them it's time to go to sleep :D
it's so simple really, but I don't think they ever put it straight forward to them like that.
You know what I did last night? I got out all Lills stocking stuffers, and wrapped them individually LOL Oh I was laughing my head off, I can already imagine the aggravation on her little face come christmas morning :p
I had a good run yesterday as well, I organised with my dad that he's going to go half in a gold bangle for my sister for christmas. Which is great! My sister asks for something simple each christmas, what she wants is hoops earrings and bracelet or bangle. Basically, dads bought her earrings before but that were those string like ones? And he bought her a hollow bangle thats now in several peices.
I'm feeling good because I went to that sale yesterday and picked up hoop earrings and a slightly daggy bracelet, but it's something. Today I have to go looking at bangles and comparing prices.
You may wonder why I care about this particular part of christmas, but the last couple of years my sister has turned up for xmas and my dad has said "look, we didn't get as much for you as we did Erin, but hope you like it anyway" like wth is with that?? You don't say that! So my sister is slightly annoyed by that, oh and the fact she hasn't received a birthday present yet either.
So when I can manage a good christmas, I try to do what I can for my sister because of my fathers lack lol
Sometimes it's a bit silly actually, like last year I bought her an outside broom... it wasn't much, but its what she wanted. You know?
This year will be a good year, she's getting three things she wanted rather then nothing... I guess.
Oh geeze, I should shut up.. I'm sorry! :o

Erin- this is early for you? As I remember you were always the one posting at either between 11am-1am? Is it that alarm clock?
That's not nice that your Dad says that to your sister. My Dad favours me and it's actually more of a burden. My bro and sis and even my Mum are always saying Dad favours me and it makes me feel that I'm falsely loved. Like I don't actually deserve the love? If that makes sense. I also feel guilty for being the 'favourite'!
Erin- if you are the 'favourite'! I feel your pain! There is no advantage to playing favourites! No-one wins!

hehe it's now my life, scary huh? I'm in bed early and up early. Usually I'm off cleaning but some mornings the house is actually clean... well it was this morning
You know I never thought about the favourite thing, I don't think I am. My dad and me never really spoke except when I moved in with him when I was 17/18 and fell out with my mum. Now it's more I don't really speak to either lol I think I'm just easier to buy for.
On the other hand, I don't really have secrets from dad, he can be a blabber mouth sometimes, but for the really important things he'll keep quiet.
My mother on the other hand tells grandma and grandma tells EVERYONE! hehe
Oh well, for me and family it's really just my sister and me, we rely on eachother a lot.
I've had a pretty average day, maybe just under average but at least I can still smile.
Forgot to put the garbage out last night, I don't really care because I doubt I will reach the top anytime soon lol
Then I put the clothes out this morning and went off to Erina... when it started raining.
Oh well again, the clothes can bloody well stay there! :p
Could probably drag them in before the next round of lightening starts
SimplyMum
26-10-2007, 15:20
Haha, I leave mine- I figure they're already wet so I'll just wait for the rain to subside and than they can dry again!!!
Bailey has a high temp again. Yesterday he had one as well. I'm actually getting a little concerned. He's getting high temps for no reason. Same with the convulsion. There was no apparent reason fort eh high temp, not ill. Not teething as far as I could tell. If it happens again- I'm going to take him back to the doc.
5 more min and than I get to go home!!!:smiliedance:
LilShenanigans
26-10-2007, 15:30
Woo! 5 more minutes!!
Meh... all same round here :p
You should take him back to the docs anyway, if theres no reason I tend to not wait it out .. but then Im also impatient, so maybe no help to ya!
...I just got the clothes off the line, I'm kind of paranoid about storms now actually lol just gonna put them on the little one inside and if they blow away, then I've lost my roof!
Oh that reminds me of a dream I had last night, I've been having really weird dreams!!
Actually small part of it was I was talking to a real estate agent about the huge crack in my roof (different house?? lol) and he said it wasn't big. I looked up and said "Mate, can you see those pretty dots? There STARS! You can see the bloody sky thats how big the hole is!!!"
lol Now, if theres an interpretation of that dream, I'd love to hear it!

Hey girls:wave:
Wow there has been a few post sorry have read them all:o
Ive got to go to my mates baby shower soon tyler is sleeping. So we will be goin late i dont wanna wake her up. Then 2nite we are goin to hogs breath for my b'day (we didnt go last week) i cant wait i love the food there.
Nothing much happening with us tyler still being a hand full:rolleyes: I cant seem to get my mind of tyler's dad. Its doin my head in i am so lost with what i should do. So many people dont want me to find him they are scared what he may do (take off with her). Then i look at her and think its so unfair he is missing out on this. He should know that he has a daughter i just wish i knew what i should do:confused:
hi ladies,
Hope that everyone's weekend is going well.
Tyler's Mum: hope that the baby shower goes well. Sorry that Tyler's dad is doing your head in. Nothing worse when you can't get people out of your mind with no answers after all that thinking. I can't imagine how you would be feeling with this issue. What has made you start thinking of Tyler's dad? Has Tyler started asking about him? What does she know or what have you told her about him? HOpe that isn't too personal to ask.
Bailymoo: How is Bailey now? Did you find out why his temps were getting so high? How is the new bed?
Mumforone: speaking of leaving children in the care of others...I don't leave DD with anyone else but my mum and dad, and even then they have to be together as my dad wouldn't be able to look after her (he says that she is still too little!). I wouldn't leave her with my inlaws as she only sees them once every 3-6 months as they live interstate. They always offer to look after her when we visit or they visit us but I am not comfortable in that as there is more responsibility to look after a grandchild than looking after your own child if that makes sense as you have to be accountable for your actions to your own child (ie: you).
HAd a tiring week with every day heading out for errands or meeting up with others. Started my free week at the new gym as well to try it out and felt the calories burn off which was nice, but left muscles sore as well. Lucky the new trainers I bought are comfy as there was alot of outdoor running involved this week!
Off for a quiet night in, headache due to the warm weather here, 30C.
enjoy the night ladies.

I feel old...
Tonight I got annoyed by the fact there was fireworks.. One. I didn't know. Two. I wasn't there. Three. I didn't know! They haven't mentioned anything in the local rags about it which they usually always do, and they were close probably just at the entrance. Which is understandable, we have some waterwise festival.. But thats supposed to start tomorrow!
And again, they didn't tell anyone!
Now... I've got a feeling it's this house that is like 3 doors down from me, full of people who only look like their 15years old without an adult in sight. But now I have a thumping bass in my head cause these 15year olds seem to be deaf and can't hear the music unless it's turned waaaaayyyyyyyyyy up and their sitting on the bloody speakers (that's my theory anyway).
There's good news and bad news. Good news, majority of people up here and locally are elderly and don't like this kind of sh*t.
Bad news, I've got a feeling most have just decided to turn their hearing aids down.
Might call the locals and find out the rules about this :D

lmao oh we're not alone then! Poor Tyler and Lillya ...
hi ladies,
had a busy and tiring weekend; couldn't even keep my eyes open after morning tea! Ended up having a 2 hour nap when Adele had hers yesterday. Don't think that I could be in the right head space for another at the moment and the relief that I am not pregnant!
Tylersmum: It is hard when the child looks so much like their dad. Even though people tell me that they can see both DH and I in ADele, I can only just see DH. Tyler's dad wouldn't try to take her? Is that the sort of thing he would be capeable of? do you think that he would be happy to know that he is a daddy? I don't know what relationship that you both had, so if it is too personal, I understand if you can't post it and my intention here is not to pry or to offend. Are you in a better frame of mind today?
Mumforone: Must be the time for teething...Adele ony has 2 more before she gets the full set.....this one is her second molar that we can see rearing its ugly head! Mind you, it is the longest period that we have had without any teeth popping up as she got teeth really early.
Not much happening today; have the inlaws arriving this weekend for a short visit. Always seems more work for me when they come, but also more work for me when we visit them interstate. At least Adele has 2 sets of grandparents, unlike my sister and I who grew up without ours and only got to see them overseas once every 3-5 years.
Anyone doing anything for Melb cup?
also, does anyone have a slow cooker? I am looking at getting one but don't know how big to buy, a 3L or a 6L?
have a good night.

Hello Everyone,
Ok, where to start. Firstly- we put the bed up on Friday- it works, all the parts are there and the bed fits! so, it looks really good and I absolutely love it! My bed cover looks AWSOME as well. All I want to get now is 2 new pillows and some green pillow cases. I'll have to take photos so you all can see.
Bailey temp are not getting better. It's now up the the 6th day of temp in a week- it started last Wednesday and the only day he has not had a temp or panadol/nurofen is Sunday (and that might have been because we didn't have a themometer handy). I went to the doc yesterday- no ear infection, no throat infection, chest is all clear (actually better than before- thanks Singelair), so I now have a challange on my hands. To get a urine sample from him so they can test for an infection there.
So long as the temps are there I will keep persuing it.
Tonight I'm going to see Black Eyed Peas. I've got to leave work early but I'm going to tell them I've got to take Bailey to the doc.:shame:
Tam- sorry your having a difficult time with Tylers Dad swimming around in your head. I know our situation is extreamly different (isn't everyones?!) but have you weighed up the pros and cons? Like, would you feel better for it if you contacted him and told him that he had a daughter and than he either did one of two things.
He either takes it well and turns out to be a great daddy or he causes allot of ongoing trouble and rejects Tyler time and time again. Do you think you and/or Tyler will be better off if the 2nd scenario happened? Like, would you be thinking well at least he knows, or will you be thinking 'what was I thinking- I should have just left it'?
For my situation, the 2nd scenario is just too great a risk for me or Bailey to chance if the miracle happened and he turned out to be a great daddy (highly uinlikely anyway).
Erin- I know, I do NOT fit in the the rang race anymore. I don't like clubs, I don't like doof doof music, I don't like late nights (if your not eating I don't understand why anyone would want to 'hang' at McDonalds!).
Ealing- yeah, 2 sets of grandparents is a good thing. It's an unfortunate thing that it all creates more work for you- actually it just plain sucks! Tell them to sleep out with the dog! Actually, that's pretty slack to the dog!!! Tell them to get a motel! I suppose just be thankful that it isn't the other way around and your parents be the ones that live in another state and the IL live around the corner!
Mel and Leesha- where are you guys? I really do hope everything is ok. I wish we had a way of contacting you guys.
Anyway, better get to work.

Hiya All.
I'm always on MSN lee!!
Things are soooooooooo good now- he's on script formula and reflux meds. We started Nahum on solids on the weekend. Still trying to get him to actually swallow. LOL.
Reuel is doing well too. He's been missing out on a lot of social interaction because of all the issues with Nahum. I feel sorry for him. but Nahum will be all better in a few weeks and we can all go back to normal.
Reuel's molars never seemed to have appeared. ARGH...should i be worried?
I havea huge headache tonight...going to go to bed early.

Lee congrats on the bed!!! :smiliedance: FINALLY! lol
Oh well, came back in the morning.. wasn't sure if I'd be up.
Well we went to chipmunks yesterday with Blueeyedgirl and her girl Issy .. you know the saying big things in little packages? (Or some such lol) thats Issy! :p
I don't think Lill was nervous at all when we arrived, sure she didn't exactly run off but she wasn't hanging off me either.
Had Issy show her a few things, but Lill wasn't all that game for most of it.. until she went on the pirate slide, then Lill was off in her own world!
It was really good, Lill went off and played with the other kids, didn't care where I was! I'm so proud!
She did cry once, but we've gathered from Issy telling her mum "I pushed" at about the same time Lill got upset... it was just a minor altercation - they were fine again shortly after
I think it's a great sign, Lill is finally ready to do her own thing in way of having other kids around. She played well also. Many times she could've hurt another kid but she was careful lol
Poor thing though, we had to leave as way past her nap time... she had bright red eyes and practically watering. She looked like she was about to cry thats how tired she was! Wasn't going to cry of course, But didn't think she wanted to leave thats for sure!!
So we both had a good day, will be good to do that again.. and yes, I got myself a milkshake but shared with Lill hehe
Anyway, Tam got a bone to pick with you...
Your name is on the xmas swap thingy and you haven't sent info through?? Last day today and I aint sending reminders out (well, except this one lol).
And the dryer is at my dads... we're sorting other stuff out at the moment, but if you want to pick it up it's available anytime, just let me know or give me a buzz :D
Lee, lol don't think we got a table. Im still lost on all that, actually I think I've picked up another wardrobe that I don't bloody need! Need a wardrobe?
Anyway, was discussing this with my mother and my grandmother is getting rid of stuff again (always a good house filler).. so you might be in luck with the other side of the family LOL
Geeze.. my family is getting weirder by the minute

I know its the right thing to do it would'nt be any better to have him in our lives. I will not lie to tyler when she is older i will tell her the truth and hops she understand why i did what i did. I will help her anyway i can when she is older if she wonts to find him.

Hi ladies,
Great couple of days with Adele and even some fun times despite the rain outside. Made a tent from the sheets and chairs in the kitchen, she went outside with the umbrella by herself when it was raining today which was nice to see (and she was nice enough to shut the sliding door too!).Of course it rained all day and stopped at 5pm!
Adele also managed 2 days in a row of doing a poo on the toilet! TMI I know, but just had to share! Funny what little bribes can do in order to get some of these things done!
Tyler's mum: glad that you came to a decision about Tyler's dad and hope that your headspace is a bit better now. When the time comes to let Tyler know about the situation hopefully she will understand and appreciate the decision that you have come to.
BaileyMoo: how is the new bed? Hope that it is extra comfy and must be a relief to finally get it! Did you get that urine sample for the Dr? Any further spikes in temps in Bailey and do you know what is the cause?
Went to Target today, they have 15% off store wide and up to 30% of bras. Managed to pick up 4 bras for a grand total of $42!! was so pleased. WAs fun trying them on with Adele in the change room....I even put one on her and she ended up looking like Madonna with that pointy bra! Well, not quite the pointy bra look but you get the jist!
Have booked in for a Melb cup lunch which I have never done before, should be fun with a friend and her little boy.
Any issues with daylight savings with you guys? We are ok here and all have adjusted quite well.
have a good night.

Thanks erin i guess im alway goin to have days/weeks when im not sure if ive done the right thing. But i just have to life with this is the choice i have made and :fingerscrossed: its the right one
Tam- I cam to this conclusion after many a days and sleepless nights worrying if I had made the right decision. I concluded that every parent, single or not has to make decision for and on behalf of the whole family. These decisions can ultimately change the future in a big way but no parent knowlingly does makes the 'wrong' decision, at the time they all think they are making the 'right' decision. So, I figured that hard as it may be I and Bailey will have to live with my decision and if needed we can look at changing it in the future but for now and when he is older he will have to understand that Mummy did what she thought was best at the time.
Good luck and I STILL have moments where I am unsure. But I think you have made the right decision.
Yes, my bed is VERY comfy. You know what the biggest thing is- being at the same level as my bedside table! I just have to turn my head a little to the left and there's my alarm clock (blasted thing!)! Also, for the past week I have made my bed!!! This will not last.
I got an interview with one of the places I've applied for a job! I cannot wait! I am so physched!:smiliedance: I REALLY hope this works out!
Leesha- good to hear that things are now getting better again. So, why did he suddenly get worse? I remember you saying that it would take approx 2 weeks to get all the intolences out of his body- would that be the most likely reason?
Mel- Where are you? I hope you and fam is ok.
Ealing- how cute with the bra! I bet you wished you had a camera! I haven't made tents yet- gee you forget all the 'cool' stuff you said you were going to do with your kids! If we get a chance- I might do this this weekend!
3 more weeks until my sis moves out!:yelclap: I can't wait. She is a complete nuisence and no help around the house. It's like I've gone from having 4 kids, down to having 2 and I can't wait to have only 1!!! There's just something about cleaning up for people other than your children. I don't mind picking up after, washing and cleaning up after my own child but not after anyone else. I entered into parenthood knowing I would be forever cleaning up after him but I don't remember giving birth to a 30yr old!
Also went to the Black Eyed Peas on Tuesday. They were ******* excellant! I never really go for that type of music but it made me realise I kinda miss my child-free care-free lifestyle. When I get a little bit of money I am going straight out to buy the cd and I'm going to make some tapes so I can re-aquaint myself with my generation!!! For so long, I've felt like I don't fit in anywhere, I don't seem to get along with people my own age or more so girls. I just don't seem to be on the same wave length sometimes. I don't have many friends and I always feel like I'm saying the wrong/stupid things. I can't dance and feel really self-counscious when I try. Tuesday night I made a mental decision to **** what everyone else thought of me and I danced my own dance without worrying about what I looked like. Only a couple of times did it enter my mind and I quickly pushed it out. It was nice.
Oh, almost forgot to update on Bailey. I didn't get the urine so they got a bag for him. Apparently this doesn't work as well so although they found nothing suspicious in that urine I'm to keep trying with the cup over the weekend. He had another chest x-ray (poor kids already had 4 in his short 2 years of life)- that turned up fine, although it confirmed for sure he has asthma. There was no temp on Tuesday or Wednesday but had one yesterday at the docs of 39.3 so the doc is still a little concerned. He did start to have a runny nose, drooling and sticking his fingers in his mouth so it may be teething this time round or could have been last week just now showing any other signs. the doc was actually more dumbfounded that although he had a temp of 39.3 he was running around as happy as larry, squealing and laughing. If the temps continue over the weekend than I was to record anything and go back on Monday and they would look at doing a blood test- but they would prefer not to put him through that as kids don't handle them well. In the meantime I was to keep up the panadol so to avoid anymore convulsions.
Hope you all have a SPECTACULAR day! Mine has definately started out well.

She had a invisible friend that she called 'mine' now she has a invisible bear:eek: She come walking straight past me today in the kitchen and had a suprise look on her face and started jumping up and down and then put out her hands out as if she was taking someone hand.
I said to her if your friend here?
she said no mummy,
I said oh ok who are you talking with she said the bear?
I said is that your friends name?
She said yes
I then said if your friend really a bear?
She said yes
Then i said is your bear a boy or a girl?
She said a good girl
Then in bed tonite she was under the covers talking and i asked her who she was talking with and she said oh mummy bear and started to laugh.

tyler was so upset he was'nt home she kept saying to my mum nanny where's bailey:( was kinda cute cause when i said he was at the doc she said oh n:hugs: o

That's cool Tam, it's pretty safe at dads at the moment, so your cool.
I've had a bit of a long weekend actually.
The bestie got here fairly early yesterday and we did a bit of a shop, I picked up a couple of cheap DVDs and finally got around to buying Timbalands CD. I haven't like that sort of music in years, but then realised if hasn't been quite worthy of listening to for years... But the CD is good, glad I bought it :D
Pigged out on chinese food, Im quite lucky to have a good place at the end of my street lol I made her watch Beerfest and Supertroopers... Both extremely funny movies! Now she's going to buy them herself :p
Got a message this morning to say it was Kids Day Out at Ourimbah.. kinda forgot lol But got Lill ready and headed off.
It was actually really good! For only paying $2 per adult, there was a fair few free things to do which was good. Lill patted the animals, there was even a calf in there! hehe
We watched a couple of shows, bit of Captain Feathersword but lill was too scared to join the toddler moshpit!
Tried to get her to play the clowns (where you put balls in their mouth)... she was kind of too scared to go too close, so was trying to throw the ball at the clowns head! She did end up scoring a doll.. somewhat barbie knock off, but it's something!
They even had these lunch bag things, get a sandwich, apple or orange, and a poppa or water for $2! Was good :D
I bought lill a Dora showbag, kind of cute.. don't know yet if she'll play with it because shes off in la la land right now.
We spent the last of the day playing at one of the stands, think it was community kids thing... dont know. But they had toys and a slide there for toddlers, so she had a bit of fun there.
It was a good day out though.. apparently better then last year according to one. But I also got info on a parenting group in the area so might wander off to that one night.
I'm half tossing up about childcare, Lill needs something regular so maybe we'll do the playdate thing, or the childcare thing... have to see how that pans out. Don't think I could afford to regularly do both thats all.
I think thats it? I dont know.. mind elsewhere:wizard:

Hello Everyone,
I'm sick!:barf: I've got an awful headache and an achy throat- my tonsils are up and although there is no puss I have a feeling it's not going to get better before tomorrow.:(
I'm at work today but I have a feeling I'll probably end up going home half way through the day.
Mel- can't wait to see photos. I think we went to Karratha- it was so lovely and peaceful. I hope you had a great time. How awsome it is that you are able to do these mini holidays every now and again. I can imagine it would be well deserved.
Bailey is fine now. Couldn't get the urine sample but it seems it was probably unnessesary anyway. He more than likelt had what I've got now, as I have no other visible symptons other than a fever (and feeling **** but a 2yr old can't tell you that). My poor baby, I feel so bad that he had to put up with this for a whole week with no medication. My poor baby!:crying:
Erin- kids day out sounded like fun! It's funny the things get scared of. Bailey was and has always been fine with the clowns but when he was about 6months he used to scream his head off when we used to push a plastic chair along the wood floors!
Tam- so cute about Tylers new friend! A bear, hey? I wonder where she comes up with some of this stuff. I wonder if it's like a winnie the pooh bear or like a grizzily bear!
Anyway, my heads going a bit fuzzy and my throat is killing me. The dr said to gargle Betadine every 2 hours (:barf: ) so I might go and do that in the toilets (I hope no-one works in). And than I'm going to 'try' and do some work. May be on later- depends how I go.

Tam there's always someone home, so when your dads free, give me a buzz and Ill let them know your coming around. No need for formality..
I got home a couple of hours ago, despite the best efforts of a few people to kill me on the road. Which is always a lovely gesture I must admit.
Crowded House were really good! I've never been able to go to one of their shows, and this one my sister had tickets for the front, so it was extra special! Could see all the wrinkles lol
Played pretty much all the old stuff, very little from memory from the new album. Very happy bout the night.
Lill did well also, she behaved for my sis' b/f, ate all her dinner and went to bed without a fuss. If only she did that for me.
She had fun though, loves being down there.
Im super knackered though, over the past two days I've lost about 10hours sleep.
Oh and then all my money on petrol and merchandise :p ..oh well, is worth it.

Finially someone posted. I was getting extreamly lonely. Finding more agumentative threads to bombard!
Erin- Crowded House would have been so awsome. I'm so jelous. Good to hear you had fun though- I tell ya, you definately deserved it, that's for sure.
Do you ever wish you didn't move? Do you ever wish you were back down here?
I would love to move to the Gold Coast but at the moment it just wouldn't be visible. The costs of rent are higher (worth it though), removalists costs and so on. One day....
hi Ladies,
Hope that you all had a good weekend and did anyone win any money on the Melb cup? I managed to get some money on the horse that came second and put the bet on for DH whose horse managed a third place. Fingers crossed that it covers the cost of what we initially put on all the bets (a huge $23!). Had an enjoyable Melb Cup lunch and enjoyed getting sort of dressed up with my friend who brought her 15month old boy to the lunch which was great.
The in-laws visit went well. They brought over Adele's present for her birthday, a doll's house - the one where you need to buy furniture to play with. I didn't think that she would realy get into it, but she seemed to and enjoyed playing with it which was fun. It certainly was nice for another 2 sets of eyes to watch her so I could do a few more things in the house but all in all, a successful but tiring visit.
BailyMoo: hope that you are feeling better.
Mumforone: Crowded house sounded like a good one to go to. My sister has tickets for The Police who are coming her in January. They have nearly front seats as well as it being in the middle. Not too sure if there is a mosh pit or not but she seems pretty close. Adele also gets pretty freaked out with clowns as well.
Any ideas for dinner? I am really stuck for something for tea though adele will be having leftovers tonight.
Anyone know how Mrs Little is going? Haven't seen her post on here in a few days.....
Aslo, anyone manage to find Cadbury Mint chip chocolate in their sweets aisle at the supermarket? I can't find it at Woolworths anymore and wondering if it is just our local Woolworths that doesn't have it. Thanks.

Do I want to go back to Sydney?? hmm, and probably be killed by all the ******** on the road who didn't seem to like me today? Nup.
Don't miss it at all.
It's relaxing though, and I am having Sunday off as well.
Besides when my dad gets around to bringing the portacot up Ill be doing a regular trip to stay at sis' or grandmothers.
I didn't bet this year, didn't see the point. Did put in lotto last week though and won a bit on that... from what I can work out. Dunno how the bloody thing works lol
Will find out when my multiweek ends.
I think Im going to leftovers for dinner... too buggered to cook. And its probably a healthier choice then eating chocolate just for the sugar hit...

Well, I didn't win anything on Melb cup- I don't think anyway.
Erin- how much did you win in the Lotto? How exciting. Now, you can see your a lottery winner.
I'm at Mum and Dad's tonight. Dad was going to come over for dinner but my sis was going to be home and my Dad and sis don't get on so it would have made it highly stressful for me. I can't wait until she moves out!!

Oh then the pouring rain on the way home ... yay.

Tam- I wish I had a computer full stop! It would be so nice. Than I wouldn't have to come over to Mum and Dad's to print off my resume the day I have the interview!!!
I do feel allot better thankyou. My thoat is only a little sore now and I only have a slight headache. Although, when I get home I will take some nurofen- I want to be as clear headed for this interview as possible.
I feel a little overwelmed. I really don't know how I'm going to handle everything. Full-time work, study, Mum and sport. I just don't know if I'm going to be able to study and get the marks I need/want and be still be a good mum to Bailey. I'm really afraid that something will slip and to be honest study and being a mum go hand in hand for me. If I don't study- I can't get employed to support Bailey, but if I fail at being a good Mum, well, than- there goes everything. Maybe this is why I've become sick of late. Too much? I hope my body gets used to it soon as it doesn't look like it's going to change.
Erin- I'd have to say I'm loving this weather. It's just te way I feel. And it's works in very well for the interview because I only have winter business tops and it would have looked mighty embarrassing walking in with a winter top on with sweat marks from walking to the car to the front desk on a 40c day!!!
Although I have straightened my hair and this rain really isn't helping! Never happy am I!!!
Tam- glad Tyler is better for you. I'm going to pick Bailey up straight after the interview today and come ome so hopefully it wont go for too long and perhaps we can come up for a visit- if that suits, of course. I was just thinking that you don't have a car so you would get wet if you walked all that way done. I'll msg you once I'm on my way back.
hi ladies,
I have just posted in the general chat "unwanted atttention by men who are cowards" - am still feeling a bit unnerved by it all. I really despise men that do this type of thing. It is far more impressive for them to introduce themselves to you and talk to you with some respect than be a complete plonker and get your attention by making stupid gestures.
Am still a bit strung out from what I described it the post. If you get time to read it, please do and let me know if something similar has happened to you.
thanks.

This is horrible! I posted and said my 2 cents worth. Apart from the mere fact that it was just uncalled for, I can't beleive they had the nerve to do that with your DD in the car! I mean, come on- what's if she had been awake.
Anyway, enough, breathe!
I went for my interview yesterday. I think I stuffed it up. I was and still am a little upset about it as I REALLY wanted that job.:crying: But I'm trying to forget about it and get on with it. Hopefully something just as fantastic comes along.:fingerscrossed:
Bailey and I are going to go to the Pet and Animal Expo on Sunday. I can't wait- he's going to have an absolute ball.
Anyway, not much else to report.
Tam- it was really good seeing you yesterday, Bailey had such a FANTASTIC time with Tyler. And I was quite surprised, he was actually fairly well behaved and didn't hog the toys and shared. I was quite proud after leaving. Will definately have to try to do that on a regular basis!
See you all later.

Ealing i will go read your thread after i finally posting.
Well its 2.11am and im posting cause i just got woken up with 10 cops cars (yes that right 10 i counted) outside my house. They were 2 doors down cops been there alot since ive been here. I couldnt work out what was happening there was alot of screaming and they took a few people away.
hi Ladies,
Anyone elses little one teething? Adele getting her last tooth and has been dreadful all week, sookie and clingy. Really out of sorts after a few days with the inlaws being here and then my parents being away for a week (she usually also sees them on certain days).
Went for a Julique pampering session today with my bestie - was great and felt terriffic afterwards. Had a hot oil body wrap, facial and scalp and shoulder massage. Also got a short foot massage which was lovey as well. It was a nice half day away from everything and time to catch up with my friend.
Tyler's mum: wow, lots of coppers outside your place. Was there a party going on or a domestic? scary when it is so close to home. Did Tyler wake up?
Managed to start on the christmas stuff today .Bought some cards and some art canvases for Adele to paint to give to the grandparents.
enjoy the good weather whereever you are. Nice and warm here in Adelaide for the next few days.

Pretty quiet around here, bit stir crazy coz of the weather actually.
Bummed because I have lots of wet clothes and it only seems to be sunny today .. typical  :p

Ok, Guess what- I have good news! I got a 2nd interview! I can not wait, well, I can but I REALLY hope I make a good impression and I REALLY hope I get the job. Keep your :fingerscrossed: for me.
We went to the Sydney Pet and Animal Exp (must sing this)- it was ok. Free parking, and it cost me $8 to get in. So for half a day I say it was definately worth it. Bailey thought the dogs were great and loved petting them. Surprisingly the nursery petting pen scared him a little so we didn't spend much time in there.
My Dad had a bit of a scare. My Mum, Dad sis and nephew were down at the Christmas shop with my dad holding my nephew. Some stupid ninkempoop put a ankle high guard in front of the door to warn people not to park there. Well, my dad didn't see it and tripped over it with Ethan in his arms. Ethan has a bump and bruise on his head (went to the doc- he's fine) and Dad has a few brusies and scrapes. My sis has asked me to lay a formal complaint into them (I am the complainer) so I will be looking into that this week. I can't wait- haven't laid a complaint for ages!
Mel- I missed the poll. I wonder who won- must have a look. Ava was definately the cutest in her purple nappy.
Tam- how scary. I'm so afraid of confrontation, anyting involving police and I would have locked everything up and closed all the blinds and hid under my blanket!
Anyway, better go. Talk to you all on Tuesday.

Ok, so I had my 2nd interview. I felt it went better- I didn't ramble on as much (only a little!:o ). I still very very anxious and a little doubting as to whether I will get it. They had 3-4 other candidates and they didn't seem to terribly like the idea that I had no accounting experience (the age old, no-one wants someone with no experience but no-one wants to give it either). I REALLY hope I get it and am almost making myself sick over thinking about it. I need to chill out.
Anyway, sorry, no personals but I'm freaking out again. Starting to really doubt how the interview went. I think I think too much!:p
Best go. Ta Ta.

what a cop out of a post! I got all excited when I saw that someone had FINIALLY posted!
thanks Tam. I've made promise to myself that I wont think about it anymore. I just get too anxious!
My sis's neighbour got raided by the police last night. Her partner came in at 3pm and said there was about 10 police cars out the front of their complex (they live in units), they didn't think too much of it and went to sleep. About 1/2 hr later, someone had pressed their intercom button and it was the police asking to be let in. They let them in and went back to bed.
Skye heard the wife (of the guy that lives there) talking on the phone and she said they got raided.
Firstly, why wouldn't the police be prepared- why would you ring on the intercom, that could have tipped the guy off (there pretty loud buzzers). Why didn't they get keys off the real estate or something.
How very scary. Apparently this guy moved into the complex after he and his family were shot at at their previous house. Kinda wish they could move but I know that that wouldn't be possible.

whats with all the police presence lately???
Wonder who the lucky third would be... really can't imagine my neighbours june or maureen being raided but ya never know hehe
I'm slowly getting back into the gist of boringness. I quite missed it actually.
I realised I spent about 4days in Sydney in one week, and just over 8hours driving to and fro. ..and about $100 on merchandise lol
Gotta say I think Im too old for the whole rock concert thing. Sure I like seeing bands live, but I'm not a mosher anymore and in my old grey mind, if you pay to sit down, don't stand up!
It's weird going from a very laid back, chatty crowded house concert, to a very rigid but somewhat more exciting (lighting, things exploding, jumping etc) show... with little or no audience 'contact' as they say.
I think I could be very happy to just watch rock concerts on DVDs from now on... it's lost it's appeal. Still go to the other stuff though...
Nothing much else going on. Managed to do laundry today, super excited about that! 2chockablock loads were done - finally!
And I got around to putting together the xmas swap present thing.. least something productive.
I'm supposed to be cleaning, but neighbours is on in about 10 minutes so I might bugger it yet again

Then they had their support acts come out (no idea who they were but Pete doherty was part of it? heh) to do Helter Skelter.

Actually, was going to post tomorrow... but I'm going to drop into my local childcare centre and have a looksie around and see if Lill wants to play a bit.
I'm slowly getting my butt into action! Haven't really decided what I'd choose.. whether a couple of hours, or a day or two. Might work our way up a bit. Just need to do something for myself... it's just time for it, kwim?
Anyway, Im tired. I'm currently up to my 3rd coffee and for a person who usually only has one in the morning, you know it's a bad sign. I'll be asleep before chasers if Im not careful! :(

well, we went to the childcare centre today!
They were quite nice and everythings pretty set out. Lill was a bit wary at first, but by the time we were checking out the big kids area, she was off in her own little world!
She enjoyed herself and not sure she wanted to leave, but of course can be very different when she starts ... on Monday! :smiliedance:
They pencilled her in and this arvo I organised with FAO the rebate, so now she's definately having her a first day on Monday.. very exciting.
I'll stick around for a bit obviously, and they said if it's really impossible to settle her (sometimes is) they'll call me
That was one of two places I was looking at. The other place is about $4 cheaper, but won't have any places til January, so no point looking there at the moment. Whereas with this one I can add on days even now, but probably more by Jan :p
I so hope it goes well! I need to get my mind back and a clean floor! I miss a clean floor!! hehe
hi Ladies,
Yay for the poo!! It is so exciting! I think that they go through a poo separation anxiety stage as well where they don't want to part with their poo and then try to run away from it when they need to go, or hide or hold it in! So exciting when they do a poo on the toilet!!!
Have a dreadful cold at the moment, is there something going around? Feel a bit trashy at the beginning and end of the day, the middle of the day not too bad but tire out easily. Hot weather ain't helping either.
DD is cutting her last tooth for the complete set, so happy as then we can't blame teething for anything after that.
BaileyMoo: well done for the 2nd interview, have you had it as yet? If so, when do you know if you have the job or not? Sorry, have been a bit behind in catching up with the news.
Started to write up my Christmas cards for overseas friends today, can you beleive that Christmas is coming already? it will be here before we know it.
Hot, hot, hot here tomorrow. May have to pull out thel little paddle pool to cool off the little one.
stay well all.

Tam- YAY for the poo! :yelclap: To think that we're at that stage already- where has the time gone? I'm not ready for toilet training yet- and I think if I'm not ready, Bailey's not ready. I don't want my little man growing up- it's so sad. Before we know it, they'll be telling us to hide when we see their friends!
Thanks for coming round yesterday. It was really good, especially after my dissapointing morning- I think it was just what I needed so thanks. Although, I didn't realise how un-baby-proof my house was. I'm going to have to put all my scrap-booking stuff in the seperate room and lock the door from now on. I found some blue stamp on my bed which I'm going to try and get out tonight.
Daycare was telling me the other day that Bailey was a really good listener and I didn't realise until yesterday. About 3months ago he went into my scrapbooking stuff (which is all on the floor in my room) and I said 'no, this is Mummy's toys and Bailey is not allowed to touch'. Up until yesterday he has nerver gone back to my scrap-booking stuff.
Well, I didn't get the job!:( I was a little upset yesterday morning when I found out but than Tam came round and it cheered me right up! Now, I'm going to be sending my resume round to all the accountning firms in Penrith (it's a long shot) and I'm going to have a look at jobs at the ATO.
Erin- I've never really been into concerts, matter of fact I've never really been into loud music. Gathering around in a pub with some friends, a good meal and sometimes a game of football or something on the big screen is more my cup of tea. But every now and again a concert is nice- just to get it all out of my system. Even better if I know the songs and I can sing along. Bit of a singer here.
Mmm....anything else? I don't think so. Talk later.

hehe that is so cool about Bailey and the listening thing! So cute!
Shame about the job, as they say "not meant to be:rolleyes: "
Actually have you looked at government jobs? I'm trying to convince everyone to get a government job right now hehehe But they have things in accounting.
We've had a change with childcare - already!!
I've decided Lill will attend this first place until the end of this year, then starting next year she's going to a different one hehe
We went there this morning and it just feels right, you know? Lill was very settled, even started trying to make friends. Their guidelines are a lot better I think then the first one, it's in a quiet suburban area and they don't really have that many kids there at one time.
The staff were so nice too! They all chatted to me at some point during the morning, took care of Lill even though she was only checking it out. They also encourage parents to participate which is great for me coz thats the kind of thing I like doing lol
All I'd have to do now is think of what I can offer? hehe
Lill didn't want to leave! I said a few times "bye bye" and she just wandered off ... NOT like her at all! The kids there were just so beautiful and friendly. I had one boy come up and show me how he writes...
Draws a U "This is a N" draws a square "This is a H"
I've got the sheet here, I can't remember what the rest of the letters were. But he did draw me the number b quite well :p
So yeah, that place is definately the permanent one next year. It'd be great if Lill could go now but at 10 kids max for 2year olds, their full! How cool is that?
Their also cheaper and still supply lunch... I just hand over the nappies which I have no problem with.
And quite lax with naptimes cause not all kids are the same
Can you tell I'm very excited about this new place?? I can't wait! And we can drop in anytime between now and starting date so Lill becomes more familiarised with it :D
Ok.. possibly enough rambling... just excited. Probably more so then Lill!

This sounds like the right place for you and Lil Erin. I'm glad you found a place that 'felt right'. I'm all for that instinct gut feeling. I got that feeling too when I saw Bailey's current daycare. Although the other one felt right at the beginning- it soon turned 'not right'!
It's funny how different the kids are. I was thinking while reading your post Erin that being 'lax' about nap times would not suit Bailey AT ALL. He definately likes a structured routine (I think this comes from me as I like a structured routine as well), and do I remember correctly Tam saying that Tyler is not great about nap times? What kind of a place would suit Tyler Tam?
Erin- I also think providing lunch is a HUGE help. I could imagine the annoyance if I had to get up ealier and prepare Bailey's lunch as well as mine at 6:30 in the morning! No thank you!

Oh yeah, and forgot to comment about the gov jobs. I am going to look into the ATO and the local council although I would much prefer to be working in an accounting firm so for this reason, I have done a search on yellow pages for all accounting firms in Penrith. I have emailed 4 and am going to send my resume to 40 others. Although this is a long shot I'm still going to try- you never know, someone might be looking for an employee as I'm looking for an employer!!! Need a bit of this:wizard:

I wouldn't mind preparing lunch, it's just Im not creative in that area.
She'd end up with vegemite sandwiches everyday, even though she likes peanut butter.
Can't give her peanut butter at a childcare cause I'd be sued! lol
Nothing going on now. Took lill for a play in the park because she was using the TV as a slide. Strange, but seems to work. I'm waiting for a neighbour to come home so I ask to steal their rubbish hehe

Lee sorry again about not getting the job hoping one come up soon for you. Maybe it was tyler that made bailey get into the stamp:confused: She woke up this morning and said mummy go bailey house., She had so much fun she love coming to your place:yes: Im not sending tyler for a full day at day care (when she starts) so the nap thing will be ok for now. Thats one thing iam worried about when she go's for a full day
Erin the day care sound pretty good i keep putting of goin to see the one i wanna sent tyler to. I do want to sent her but at the same time im not sure if she is ready and dont wanna push her. I think we need it maybe will help with her temper:fingerscrossed:

ahh yeah Tam... PMs were sent. Have you checked your inbox?
Lee I don't think that's a cause for the curse of 3... It happens a lot. I've left lights on twice before, resulting in 2 brand new batteries! And I've been rejected for many... MANY jobs and the ones I wanted the most, or were better for, were very hard to get knocked back from.
These things happen, and it's far better to accept that not everything goes right in life, but to stay positive until they do.
Less chance of becoming a bitter old maid like me as well :p
I checked out the chair and a few other things.. all retro stuff, pretty cool. I am a hoarder though and I had to walk away to think about it lol
I probably shouldn't, I know I will just complain about clutter later on.
I changed my mind again.
After seeing todays centre, I started having doubts about the one lills supposed to start on Monday. Just little things, that seem to make a huge difference.
Had to call my sister and talk it over. She agrees. When I called her the other day I was a bit "yeah it's ok.. Lill liked the slide". Today when I called her I was "Oh Lill didn't want to come home! She was trying to make friends! everyone was so nice bla bla bla"... see the difference?
So after a long discussion about all those little things that are standing out now after earlier, I'm going to call them up and cancel Monday.
I just can't take Lill there when I don't feel right about it anymore... I've seen better! :p
It's all so confusing, and I hope the FAO don't mind hehe
I'm still going to get my breaks, I think we will probably spend our money at playcentres and stuff, and visit my sister so she can mind for a night or something. Before I know it, January will be here and Lill will be in care.
I just sound crazy now.
Oh we went down for a swim today, water was nice and warm. Got lill to kick in the water - when she starts she can't stop! lol Shes getting more confident out there and today especially when she wanted to float and kick... very new concept which is cool.
I should organise swimming lessons, but I think theres only one pool locally and I have to be a member of the club. Silly old people
hi,
Have started a course of antibiotics for this dreadful cold. Adele also sick, very puffy eyes and stuffy nose.
Was looked after quite well on the weekend by my mum, she cooked us lunch and dinner yesterday, today we went there for the afternoon and also had a dinner cooked for both Dh and I as well as Adele. Was quite nice and relaxing.
BaileyMoo: sorry that you didn't get the job, but hope that something more suited will come for you. Areyou up to number 3 in the "run of bad luck?"
Tyler's Mum: Anymore success on the toilet? Are you feeling better about Tyler's dad and all those thoughts in your head?
Just some exciting news to share: Adele did her first real wee on the toilet today!! so excited!!! Hope that it keeps up!!
Heading off now for an early night.

Ealing i hope both you and adele are feeling better:hugs: its good that you were looked after give you time to rest.
I'm feeling much better about tyler's dad i meant i still think about him. But im not as stress out about it now thanks for asking:thumbsup:
Big news tyler is using her potty:yes: I was cooking dinner last nite and she come into the kitchen with no pants on.
I said to her why dont you have your pants?
she said wee wee.
I said did you wet your pants?
she said no mummy (like i was stupid..lol..)
i said to her where did you wee?.
She said in the potty.
I when and had a look and there it was wee:eek: Later on that nite i was washing up same thing happening but this time she was had the potty with her. She said mum poo she had done a poo in the potty.
I am so proud of her she is doin so good she has not wet her pants in all most 2 weeks. She is doin poo's on the toilet and now using the potty. My little girl is growing up so fast.

Wow, this is excellant Tam- glad it's finaially coming together. I don't know if I'm going to start TT with Bailey in the summer anymore. I don't know if either of us is quite ready. I will see. I definately don't want to push the issue, as it really isn't a big deal for me.
Ealing- that is absolutely GREAT about the first real wee. How exciting! Did you jump up and down, clapping with a big beaming smile? What was Adele's reaction?
Bailey has done a couple of wees but only tinkling- nothing to really write home about.
Well, obviously I got home ok. My sis and BIL came and jump started me.
My sis moves out tomorrow. She's kinda annoying me though. She is getting a removalists to come and has boxes but for some reason she's decided that there's no real great hurry to move everything out- she'll just do it in stages. Now, this kinda bothers me. I like to be very organised and everything in it's place. Space is been a small issue as there isn't much cupboard space and all my scrap-booking stuff is on the floor in my bedroom (which I want to move to the spare room (her room)) so I kinda want everything done asap- I hate living in kaos and I want to get organised. Plus I don't like being used as a storage facility.
I'm going over on Thursday so I am going to take over some things that are taking up space- for example all her alcohol (1 whole cupboard), and her wine glasses.
Her mind just never kinda wavers from what's going on in her own little world.
Ok, enough venting, must go.

Ealing i feel bad sorry i forgot to say how great it was that Adele had her frist wee on the toilet:smiliedance:
Lee yeah im with you no need to push them bailey will let you know when he is ready. I would be telling your sister that you would rather her take them all now. You need the spare to set the place up the way you want:yes:
Thanks ladies for the support in Adele's toileting department. Since my last post, she has done a wee in the toilet for 3 days in a row and today as well as the wee was a poo! So exciting, we call my mum to tell her as DH was on his way home. I don't want to push it with her either, but am glad that she is happy to go on the toilet.
BaileyMoo: I agree with Tyler's mum and would be telling your sister to move all her stuff out as soon as poss since you really need to space. Why move it in stages when there are removalists to do it all in one go? You should charge her storage rent!
Tyler's Mum: Thanks about Adeles wee on the toilet. It is exciting and at risk of sounding like I have competitve mum syndrome, Adele's cousin (he is 3) still has no desire to use to toilet or potty, absolutely refuses to. Am hoping she will be trained before him - gosh, I really hope that I don't sound like a competitve mum, truth be known, I really cant handle my SIL, but save that for a later vent.
Hope that you are all ok. Have a good day tomorrow.

Hey Cool- look at all the new emicons!!!! :chillpill:This is a good one!!
Anyway, Ealing- how great is that? A poo already? Gee whiz, she's gone from like nothing to everything. I dare say it wont take long Ealing! I hope you've got those pretty undies ready.
On another note, do you say panties or undies? I was just typing that that panties reminds me of sexual conotations. You know, they always say 'panties' in sexual abuse cases and stuff? It's now ruined that word for me and I can't bear to use it anymore!
Well, my sis moved out. She left heaps of boxes! It's rather annoying. She was there when the truck left so I couldn't put them on. And if I had said something she would have kicked up a BIG stink. She is coming out tomorrow to clean her room and the bathroom (so that was good- unexpected) so I think I will ask then. I've put the 2 boxes that were outside (that had packing paper in them) in the garage so they're altogether now. I'm going to ask her what she's doing with them and politely tell her that I would like to get Bailey's toys all set up in there and can't do that until the boxes are gone'.
Ealing- I wish I could charge her storage rent. You can't tell her anything. Yesterday I got a snide comment that my sis and I didn't take her krispy kremes. She thought we would seeing as we took them to my younger sis when she moved out. Well, I'm sorry but I don't have a spare bloody $20 and we just drove an hour to ocme and visit for goodness sake!:hair:
Oh, not so good news. Bailey's daycare is being sold to ABC! Not sure yet of a whole lot of details. For a reason that I can't really pinpoint at this stage I didn't want Bailey going to an ABC centre. So, we're going to see how things go and decide later. I might consider putting his name down at a few other centre though- just in case.
Oh, and forgot to add- Ealing- my nephew is 3 and not toilet trained either. Although, this is just pure neglect of the issue. They toilet train when they don't have the money to buy nappies and than stop toilet training when they buy some nappies. He was 3 at the start of November. It must be so confusing for the poor little man. It doesn't bother me whether Bailey will be toilet trained before him, I just hope I don't make it confusing like that. I think there needs to be consistancy. We would ask him whether he needs to go to the toilet and he would say, 'no, nappy on'. I mean, come on, he knows what to do and everything just lazy parents. Ealing- if your SIL is anything like mine I think we can establish who the better parent is!!!

Sorry been quiet(ish),been off reading as ya do... lol
Thats a bugger about the childcare Lee... I know what you mean, I've avoided ABC centres and still have no interest in using them. Suppose if theres no other choices out there, then wait it out. If it's just the same centre, I can't imagine too much being changed?
Speaking of toilet training, Lill sits on the potty every morning.. and conveniently done a wee once. I wouldn't really call it a step in the right direction, more so needed to wee, was on potty(all morning) sort of moment.
I celebrated either way and gave her a frog - least to keep her hands busy and away from the potty
And lee saw the post about the gold coast ... again, I tell ya the central coast is the way! hehe
I'm looking again and it's a bit of a pain, not too much interesting me right now.
I even contemplated finding a flatmate and saw that it would be super cheap to get a 4/5 bed place! How ridiculous really..
Nothing much else going on, just been lost in my book. Lill will be a princess tomorrow and Ill probably get around to sharing photos at some point.
Til then, be good.:flowerz:
hi,
my cold isn't really getting any better so have started the second course of antibiotics today....*sigh* just wating for those dreaded side effects that sometimes happen with them (TMI but that dreaded thrush that you can get!).
My DH has to give up his company car which is a bit of a pain as it has to be taken way next week. WE only have the one car so we will be car shopping this weekend. not really ideal due to the time of the year and all the money we did save will be going to that! Upon agreeing on a second hand car, he has mentioned to me that he would like a brand new car for his reasons that he will talk to me about tonight. It is a lot of money when buying a car and though we can afford a new car, it is nice not to have to spend more money when we have to. I guess that is why you save, but being so money conscious since we have one income coming in I am always wary about buying things for myself and always try to get things on sale (like nappies, meats etc...)
BaileyMoo: What is it about ABC centre? There is one down the road from us but I don't want to take adele there. I don't know what it is, but am sure that I don't want her attending one. I think that I remember hearing a bad thing about one of them a year ago, but just have a mental block against taking her there. I have decided to take her to playgroup next year and to stop kindergym as I think that she is getting bored there. Adele is quite shy and likes her personal space, seems that alot of children love to get close to her to want to play but she doens't really want to unless I am literally right there next to her. Did your sister take her boxes with her yet? oh, as for the undies or panties question, i don't like the word "panties" either due to that sexual connotation that has ruined it for me too, I call them "knickies" instead and as a reward for her doing a few wees on the toilet we bought some dorothy the dinosaur knickies for her from Target yesterday, She loves them.
Mumforone: What book are you reading?
Anything exciting planned for the weekend? I will be helping out a friend whose hubby has gone away for work for a week. Will be keeping her company during a swimming lesson. Saw her today and she seemed tired but appreciative that I was coming to help out tomorrow.
have a good afternoon and evening.

Erin- yeah, that's more like what B's was. Perfect timing. Now, when I put him on the toilet and I say 'any wees?', he shakes his head and pouts and says 'no'.
I think I have a rebel on my hands- going against nature. You can't fight it kid, it will get you in the end!
Going out to dinner tonight with work. don't really want to but feel kinda obliged as I think I'm going to be here until the new year and I really should be nice and polite to my collegues. B is staying with Mum and Dad and I'll either sleep there tonight or take him home- depending on how late it is when I arrive home. I hope not too late, maybe 8.30-9?
Played netball last night. Such a stupid game! I mean, the stupid umpire kept calling contact! I wasn't even touching the damn girl! Maybe I was contacting the ball! I swear, I was this close to having it out with the umpire! Next week, I'm going to ask what exaclty is contact because last week I was being pulled up for running!:hair:
Well, we're going to the christmas Parade on Sunday. Can't wait- it's going to be so much fun. This end of the year is so busy from now until Christmas
This week Christmas Parade
1-2 we're going camping
8-9 Nothing
15-16 Billy Elliot
22-23 Wiggles Concert & Carols in the Domain
CHRISTMAS
Gee whiz, it isn't that far away. Think I might go and get B's christmas presents out of layby soon.
Ealing- I think we posted at the same time.
No, my sis did not take her boxes. I'm going to ask her about them on Saturday when she comes to clean her bedroom and the bathroom (than I can tidy up my bedroom and move stuff into the spare room)
Knickers is a good one- maybe I'll use that!
Yeah, I would go 2nd hand but than again that's the top most I can afford. My Dad seems to think the more you spend on purchasing a car the more the upkeep, you know instead of getting parts at a wreckers you'll have to get brand new parts and so on. He also doesn't like the idea of finance because if I have an accident, god forbid, at least if I own the car I can walk away from it but if it's on finance than I'll either have to get it fixed or pay a loan with no car. I suppose I can see the logic but a new car would be nice.
Oh and Erin- about the gold coast. My bestie lives up on the gold coast with her fam and if I moved there at least I would be near family (or somewhat like) and I wouldn't feel so isolated. I don't know how you do it, you are so brave (or maybe just smart!!!) to be living so far away from anyone that you know. I wish I had your courage.
LilShenanigans
23-11-2007, 19:24
Oh Lee there has to be an element of stupidity and bravado to do what I did... least I believe, because I labelled myself nuts at the time, I don't think everyone was home upstairs :sunshine:
I'm actually annoyed right now, Lill's been a bit of a pain today/arvo mostly. The most break I got was taking her to 2 playgrounds.. but ultimately thats just rewarding her for giving me a bad day!
You always know it's a bad day when your searching for the advil.
Underwear - knickers, pants, dacks, reg grundies :p
Didn't I mention the book? lol Im a nit. It's Bryce Courtenays new one "The Persimmon Tree"... quite good so far. Altho last ones ending annoyed me so I have no definate thoughts yet.
Got an interesting call tonight from my dad... basically (not quoting to the tee) this is what he told me...
"Just wanted to call to let you know I have Monday off and we were thinking of coming up, I could look into bringing some of the stuff up... which stuff is yours? (rattles off list)... so just the desk? ok. Well we were thinking of coming up on Monday probably just for lunch, haven't been up in a while. Will just depend on how I feel we have a big weekend down here and I would just like to relax on Monday, do nothing.. veg out in front of the TV. But you know if I felt like coming up I just thought I'd call to let you know that maybe if I feel up to it, we might come up for lunch. Thought I'd give you some warning just incase. Although, if we are going to come up, I will call before hand to let you know.. on Sunday... "
You know, it's conversations like that, that make me wish I was adopted.
Better go get Lill to bed.. hasn't touched a bit of her dinner! Whats the bloody point!?

I tell ya what a week i had tyler up at the medical center tue nite. Tyler come out in what i thought was a rash turn out it was bursted blood vessels. From tyler getting herself so worked up when having a tantrum can you believe that. She has a bad temper but this was'nt even one of her bad tantrum and this has never happen before. The doc said it could also be because it was a hot nite so that didnt help her when getting so worked up. She still has them on her face i still cant believe it.
Lee thats good your sister has moved out hope things get worked out with her boxes. I was goin to come to your place yesterday but by the time we got to mums it was after 5. Maybe next week if yours are home. Tyler kept asking to go see bailey.
Ealing a poo already thats great well done adele:yelclap: thats sucks about having to give the car back why does he have to?
Erin thats great lill is sitting on the potty you never know she just may be ready. Cant wait to see the pics

..You know I don't mind if you combine them all to resolve anymore responsibilities
Just trying to cheer you up, have no advice... except the mean, vengeful sort I take with my family.
...Oh on that topic, is anyone surprised my father isn't coming up tomorrow??
Me neither :p
hi,
hope that everyone has been having a good weekend. Adele has managed to catch my cold and has been super clingy and off her food a little bit. She has hit bed an hour earlier than usual which is fine by me as i am exhausted as is DH who had to oblige her when she has said all day "carry me please daddy"! Lucky it wasn't to me as she is getting heavy!
Tyler's Mum: We ended up buying a car yesterday. I actually haven't even seen it as my dad went with DH to look at cars and to offer advice/opinions. DH works on the new 3G network, Next G for Telstra and had a Ford Territory to get him from site to site for his work there. They have now changed the company policy (in an effort to save money) and they will only let them have the cars when they need them for site visits. DH ended up buying a small car, a Ford Feista Zytec model. Will be picking it up later this week.
How is Tyler as well? How do you burst blood vessels? Did it hurt and do they look like they are fading?
Bailey'sMum; How was the dinner for work? Did you make it back early?
MumforOne: Are your folks that reliable all the time? That would drive me insane if plans are made, ,or are just left hanging so that you have to await a phone call on the day....
Managed to wrap 2 christmas presents today. have 3 more to wrap and the rest of the "gifts" we are giving are going to be some home made little treats that I will be baking. Fingers crossed it won't be too hot to bake.
Shops weren't much fun a few days ago. Every 3rd child I saw was either crying, whining or screaming in either their pram or stroller or totting along! Not too sure what it was on that day but the parents didn't look too happy either with a stressed out look upon them as well.
hope that the week starts off well for all.

Ealing, they have now gone i dont think they hurt as she didnt seem bother by them. I still can't believe that happen hope it doesnt happen again. I havent ever started wrapping i should start i still have a few laybye on:crying:
Erin that sucks about you dad but seem like you already knew he was cuming:hugs: We still havent gone to pick up drying keep forgetting:nono:
They started a knew group at the school we go to play group at. Well its been goin about 2months or so now i just kept forgetting about it, Was really good they read books, play puzzel and sing tyler had heaps of fun.
I when horse riding yesterday for the frist time. I was so scared it was for a hr and my horse was so big, It ended up to be alot of fun my bum is pretty sore:) The horse a few time started to go fast and i started to scream....lol.... i was scared i would fall off but all was good.
Hope everyone had a good weekend?

hehe I love horse riding! Last time I did it, we were out for a 3 hour ride.. afterwards I swear I was walking like one of those cowboys in cartoons, with the big arched legs! lol
Glad ya had fun though tam, the worst part for me is getting on a big one.. scary stuff!
Ealing, Im quite used to having family like that, it's just always been that way. We only have set plans on special occasions (Easter, birthdays, christmas).
Dad has offered to come up on Friday but I couldn't say what I will be doing.. so meh.
Finished the book, it was good and ended well which is great for me after having White Thorn and Sylvia kind of disappoint.
Now I can get back to finishing a jigsaw puzzle lol
And today I officially finished christmas shopping, kind of went overboard for the bestfriend but have made a promise to myself not to buy her anything more! Or for my sister for that matter. Oh and no more little toys for Lill, her santa sack is getting out of hand.
Nothing much else is going on...
oh yeah... Holden rocks! boo Ford! :p .. its ok, I kind of like the fiestas hehe
OMG!

Mel- Oh, I HATE when that happens! I do it all the time and than can't be stuffed going through and re-typing it all again! Glad to see you're still here though. Miss ya!
Tam- I love horse-riding. Only been twice but when Bailey gets a little bit older we will definately be going horse riding. Where did you go?
Erin- Holden sucks. Ford Rocks! Oh, and on the present front. Bailey has way too much! It's really getting absolutely rediculous. Last night, I set up all his toys in the garage and it's choccas. I'm going to have to clear some out to make room for Christmas. I refuse to let the toys move into the house- he's already got a whole garage. From now on, Christmas and Birthdays are going to be cut back dramatically (after this Christmas, of course!;))
Oh, My sister organised for the removalists to come and pick up the boxes. I think she got the message. So they will be calling me to organise a time, although I don't have to be there. I can just leave them in front of the garage.
Well, we're going on our first camping trip this weekend. Can't wait. It's going to be so much fun. It's Mum, Dad, Skye and Ant (her partner) and Ethan and Bailey.
We went to the Christmas parade on the weekend. My Mum, Dad and I took the 2 nephews and Bailey. Within the first 2 hours, my oldest nephew was sick so we kicked Bailey out of the pram and he laid in there the whole time. We lost Ryan and Bailey seperately. And we didn't see ANY of the parade! We've decided when we go to Carols in the Domain in the next couple of weeks we are NOT taking the 2 oldest boys (Jayden, Ryan) as it is just too much and too hard to keep track of them!
Oh, and guess what? I have a mole that has suddenly gone all purple and really big, including around it. It's on my hip and I'm really worried about it. I haven't told my parents or anyone but I'm quite scared about it. The dr that I really like is going on Mat leave on Thursday so I can't go to her because I can't have follow up appointments with her. So I don't know who to go to.

27-11-2007, 16:28
Lee go to the bloody doctor lol
Actually I went to skin council place, free. Was alright, they did a quick check over and can cut them out in about 30minutes. Not worth waiting around to find out.
Glad your sister has taken a hint. It still would've been cool to hear about a bonfire siblings revenge on the news ... oh well, must live without :p
Don't think I told you guys.. I have a couple of stories.
First one the yoghurt. Lill wanted a yoghurt one night so obligingly gave it to her (instead of dinner *Humph*), when it was all gone she was trying really hard to take the spoon and tub off me- don't generally feed her these days but I didn't feel like cleaning yoghurt up at night.
Anyway, I eventually gave in and gave them to her. She took the tub and threw it in the bin, then took the spoon to the sink!! HOW COOL!
The second story is having lunch, trying to get lill to sit down and eat is a bit much. But she got up, took her chair to the bench, ripped off half a paper towel(Im wondering wth is she doing???) then came back to where she was sitting and wiped up her little bit of spilt drink!! again HOW COOL! lol
Today had to chuck her in the bath - aka covered in empty nappy hehe I walked in at one point and shes lying down splashing around. Intentionally of course!
I'm quite proud of that as usually kids are scared to get too into the water kwim?
Oh she also is trying to be more like the cat. We all know the cat food eater that she is, but I've caught her in the knick of time twice on her hands and knees crawling to graces bowl!
Personally, I am trying to think of a new nickname, Im sick of this one. Any ideas much appreciated, got a few good ones from a thread in general... can't for the life of me be bothered to find the link lol
Mel Bugger about the post as well, I've gone a bit bonkers since that happened to me a few times and now it's become routine to select all and copy before I press submit. Ingrained I tells ya!!
P.S. FORD SUCKS!!
hi,
very tired. Adele only slept 10 mins today......! Need to have a lie down and something to drink.....!
Bummer Melo about the post.
BaileyMoo: don't worry about not seeing your regular Doc, just get anyone to look at it and then if needed you can get the referral to a skin specialist if needed. Sounds scary though.
Pick up new car tomorrow as long as I manage to get to the bank and get the cheque written! Didn't want to take Adele out anywhere seeing as she didn't sleep, didn't want her to think it was some sort of "reward" for not sleeping.
resting now. catch up tomorrow.

Here is tyler's santa photo it took half an hour a lot of screaming, crying and for poppy to get in the photo but she finally got it done

hey,
cute pic of Tyler...funny how that Santa makes his way around all the Westfields. He looks just like the one that we waved to last week!!

Hey guys.
Erin- Love the new username. I wanted to change mine too but didn't know to what. Lately I've been really irked by the fact that people I have never met before know my name, DS name, our age and pics of us.
Tam- cute Santa photo. she looks so adorable in that Santa outfit. Bailey gets a Santa top every year that he wears to all the Christmas dos. It's cute- he'll hate me when he's older!
Erin- that's so cute about Lil cleaning up after herself. She must have seen you do it! What a clever lil munchkin.
Well, I went to the doc. I had to get there at 8am so I could be the first one in at 8.30!!! The doc said that a blood vesel has more than likely burst underneath and caused it to bruise. It's starting to go down. Although she said as it has changed in size I should get it cut out so I'm going in next Wednesday afternoon to get it cut out.
I also had the first of the cervical cancer needles. Oh, it hurt. But for the rest of the day of anyone ever asked me to do something it was 'I can't, I have a sore arm'!!! Bring the 2 more needles I say!
I get my castle Hampers yesterday. They forgot 2 of them so I don't know what's going to happen there. I'm going to tell them that I want a more specific time this time. Waiting from 7am-7pm is just too boring!
Well, we're going camping tonight. Skye and Ant are coming to pick me up from work and Mum and Dad are picking Bailey up from daycare at 12noon and taking him down early. I am a little bit excited. The last time I went camping was with my boys soccer team back in 199......8?
Ealing- a new car! How exciting. What colour? Have you seen it yet?
Well, must start work. Chat later girlies.

Thats good about getting it cut out! It'll be better in the long run.. sore.. but eventually good lol
Tam thats a cute photo, wish Lill would even get that close to the fat man... but, she won't :(
Well, haven't really much to say. Family came up today for lunch and the SM went nutty again  Made for very awkward eating, but then, I didn't pay so I wasn't about to leave lol
Realised they hadn't seen me since September!
Got my club membership card and my face fills the photo box... yuk. I've lost about 8kg, but that photo really shows how much of a difference it is. Oh and the ones from september as well. Banning photos of me from now until Im happy! lol
Mother will visit on Monday.
Only really dropped in coz I loaded some new photos... Don't have to check em out, just.. felt like posting. something. :D

HI LADIES...
I can't believe xmas is so close... :tree::xmastree::noel:
Ok...now i have that out of my system.
GEEZ...you ladies can yabber. I love how ERIN can just come on here and post like you are sitting next to her.
Lee: sorry to hear about the mole stuff. Hope you enjoy the camping. I can't wait till our kids are old enough to do that. It's just too hard with a 6 month old. How is the job front going?
Tam: that photo with santa is soooooooo funny. That's as close as she'd get? You will hang on to that photo and laugh with her about it- one day. We go out every afternoon (either to the shops or the beach, or a walk...whatever...just so i can get some good exercise). Reuel decided today that he wanted to walk (not sit in the pram)- which is fine. But he wouldn't hold our hands. Big no no...specially when we're walking by the road. So he refused and parked his bum on the grass near our drive way. So we kept walking...(lol..i laughed so hard..he's a stubborn little boy!!)He soon realised we weren't coming to get him, so Rohan stopped and turned around and waited for him. He came running to Rohan...but then...he SCREAMED....and i mean SCREAMED...the whole entire bloody walk!!! We were out for like 20 mins. It didnt matter what we did..he didn't want it, or want to do it. So Rohan pushed the pram...and i held Reuel's hand and we WALKED!! Every now and then i'd say..'Good boy Reuel, for holding Mummy's hand'. My lovely little treasure he was....BLAH!! EVERYONE was watching us..well..him!!
Ealing:..i think i missed the post...but what car did you get? and 10 mins of sleep for Adel? YUCKY...i close Reuel's door now....blow that! He stays in his room for 2 hrs..sleep or no sleep. He has to be quite in that time too. Sometimes i hear him turn on his CD player and he listens to Bananas.
Mel- i had a squizz at your blog spot. Looks coolies!!! What are you doing for xmas and new yr?
Well...my long post didn't disappear...i pressed submit half way through and then went into edit. Didn't wanna loose my hard work.
Things are going great here now. FINALLY. Nahum is on solids and back to eating and sleeping well. He has been sitting unaided for about a month now and is on all fours rocking back and forth. Reuel's molars appeared last week- well one anyways. He has started mimicking my words.....hmmm..thats been interesting to say the least!
I went and did some bra shopping the other day....desperately needed new ones...and discovered i've lost weight. I can't believe i'm down to the weight i was when i got married. My mum (pain in the backside that she is ) decided to tell me off...because i didn't loose it the right way. She's jealous...i told her she needs to have kids again and then she'll loose the weight (she's been trying for decades to get rid of her weight..and she's not really that big).
Things are going well here...we've settled really well. Reuel will start playgroup with the daycare centre that he will enrol in next yr. He wont start day care/pre school till 2009. So i wanted to start earlier with something else.
I think thats enough blabbling from me tonight.
Talk to you all soon.

lol yeah ... who are you again?? hehe
I was thinking we'd have plenty of time until your next visit, thats all :P
Im glad Nahum is going well though! Thats a big bonus... least helps with trying to deal with Reuel hehe
Ahh poor bugger, Lill hasn't gotten to the stage of fighting the pram.. I have to wonder with a mother like me would she really be game enough to?
I got nothing going on still. ...Will check out the local festivities of this weekend (mardi Gras - but I doubt very much anything like most peoples mardi gras lol).. um, yeah.
Oh and Im gonna stare at :snow: and ask in my most cutesy annoying voice "where did yoo come fwrom you cootsy wootsy widdle fing?"
hi ladies,
Mrs Little: Hiya! glad to hear that all is better in your household, missed seeing you on here! Glad that the reflux meds are working and that all seems much better in your household. We ended up getting a Ford Fiesta as my DH had to return his company car due to a change in policy. As it turned out, other colleagues of his also had to purchase a car, new or used due to that change in policy.
BaileyMoo: hope that your mole excision goes well and uneventful. Are you getting it cut out at the GP surgery? No doubt they will send it off to pathology to get it looked at.
Erin: I like the name change as well.
Felt really "normal" today, had an enjoyable evening with a friend who came to stay over - I haven't seen her since she returned home. HAd a lovely dinner (takeaway at home so DH wouldn't be left out) and saw some great photos of her holiday to Canada, London and USA. Made me really miss travelling but she is single and has no dependants so I guess the priorities are different.
Managed to do some shopping alone as well which was nice. Came out with some new gym gear as well as some skin care products. Was really good not to have to walk at Adele's pace or push or carry her. Went to all the stores that I don't dare go to as well as some of those departments in Myer that contain all that expensive breakable stuff (like Royal Doulton) just because I could enter safely and not worry about anything getting broken! Even nicer having a coffee and being able to take it away.
DH took Adele for the morning and after shopping went to visit the parents and got there just in time for lunch - lucky they had enough!
Made shortbread for gifts to give for Christmas. Was meant to make an almond and cranberry loaf, but too hot to bake today. Figured that instead of giving the usual people gifts will just bake and give them the home made treats.
Are any of your children in big beds? Adele is still in a cot, but am unsure how to go about putting her in a big bed as she has started asking about it now. I am reluctant to put her in one as don't want her wandering into our room when she is awake and we are not!
Have a good night and stay cool as it is hot out there!

Ealing, tyler has had her single bed for over a year. Not that she sleeps in it:rolleyes: she is always in my bed after xmas im goin to try getting her back into her bed,. For some reason she is scared of her bed she never was before. But has not slept in it for over 10 months now:hissy:
Lee, hope you had a fun weekend camping how did bailey like it?

Gee whiz, some :ecomcity: in here! Good to see. I love coming in on a Tuesday to find lots to read!
Ok, Erin- Those photos were SOO cute! Was that a bruise I saw on her eye in the 2nd photo? I loved the photo of her asleep in the chair all curled up. Adorable. I love rare photos like that!
Leesha- GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU! Glad that everything is travelling along a little more smoothly. I agee, I love that you can read Erin's posts like she's sitting right here. Although I do admit, I love your posts- you don't ever seem to forget anything, even if it was from 10 pages ago.
That would be Bailey- sitting on the side. I always use the 'ok, I'm going then, Bye'. It sometimes works, but can't be used all the time- esp around a corner as than I can't see him!
Bailey is rather independent so doesn't like me to do too much. When we get to daycare, HE likes to open the gate, and HE likes to open the door. I'm not allowed but he does have to hold it open for Mummy, and Mummy goes in first and than anyone else waiting and than Bailey.
This morning, after getting his breaki at daycare he promtly gave me a kiss and told me that I have to go now, out that door.
Ealing- rare and far between the childless shopping trips, esp when the money in your wallet is being spent on you! Good to hear that you did. A prob many mothers have, actually spending money on us! Although, I have to admit- I'm not much better. My money always seems to buy Bailey a new peice of clothing, new shoes, even new toys! Although, I have made a break-through. While out yesterday I decided that I will be taking majority of Bailey's chrissi pressies back (out of layby) and reducing the amount he gets and buying myself some new clothes. Esp bras. Mum's response to this was 'It's about time- those bras make your boobs look like they could stretch down to your knees.'
Oh, and almost forgot. Bailey has been in a 'big bed' since about 16months (?I think). To start with, I had a few small problems but they sooned ironed out. He sometimes gets up to ask for a drink or the music on but it's relatively good. It's much harder to control and so you oftern have to find something other the physical barriers to keep them in bed. At the moment, I'm using every time he hopes out of bed, he loses Elmo for 5min. Although I haven't ever reached the 5min- we've been working up to it. It's at about 1.5min so far. So, that has worked well.
Tam- sorry you're having a rough patch. Hopefully things will get a little better come closer to Chrissi. Did you put your tree up?
Well, camping went well. Bailey had soo much fun. On Sat I went and bought him a wiggles car torch (because everyone else had a torch and he kept wanting to play with those) and all Saturday night he spent ages in the gutter, water, dirt and mud pushing the car along. His shoes were unrecongnisable and his pants were covered completely with dirt and mud. I had to wash the shoes twice in the washing machine and scrub them to get them clean again.
It was an eye-opener for Skye and Ant with Ethan. He usually sleeps with music going all night at home and this proved a bit of a prob on the weekend. She had to go out and buy a cd player and we all listened to christmas carols all night. She has now decided to wean him off the music completely. She supposadly started last night- I wonder how she went!
My mole has gone down. It's no longer inflamed and purple. I go and see the dr tomorrow afternoon and will mroe than likely have it cut out at the dr's surgery. My Mum isn't going to be there though as she's taking my eldest nephew on a plane. My sis is going to come with me.
I hope to go and get one of Bailey's layby's out on Thursday.
Well, I'd best get back to work.

Oh and Leesha- what's happening about the job? I didn't get the good one at the accornting firm. They did say they were going to forward my resume onto another accountning firm but I am yet to hear from them.
Since having 3 days off a week, I'm actually really enjoying it and have worked out that I could possibly afford to live fairly comfortably. I am considering leaving it at working 2 days a week and doing part time tafe for 1 day a week (2 subjects). This would allow me to do the tax course again at another tafe college.
Not sure yet, I don't know if pulling Bailey out of daycare for 2 days a week is going to be beneficial. What do you guys think? He's really happy there and would you think it would be going backwards or do you think it would be good?
I'm going to talk to Mum about it.

Lee, glad you had a good time camping sounds like bailey had a good time. Thats somthing tyler would do playing in the water and the dirt.
Im feeling better now just having a lazy day. Tyler has gone to the markets with my cousin so home alone. What have i done spend hours on line. I should be cleaning the house:shame:
hi Ladies,
Tyler's Mum: also glad that you are feeling better. How was the time alone when Tyler went to the markets? Hope that you had some relaxing time for just you as it is rare to get time to yourself and not feel like you ought to be doing something like housework etc...and just to use the time to relax and enjoy whatever it is you like doing.
BaileyMoo: HOpe that you get to hear from a new employer soon. Something good will come up which will definately suit you. If you took Bailey out of childcare, who would look after him? Tafe is a good idea to get more subjects done, esp if it means it will make you more employable in the long run as well. Can you afford to keep Bailey in care, or is working 2 days a week the reason why you need to take him out of care? hope that makes sense. If you pulled Bailey out of care, could you try it for a semester of Tafe to see how it goes, and if it didn't go too well how difficult would it be to get him back into care? Also, did you get your mole taken out yet?
My shopping trip over the weekend was so successful in the gym gear, I dared to go again with Adele and wound up with 4 tops for around $70. Two of them were cardigans for those coolish nights and the other 2 were some sporty casual things, capped sleeved hoodies with front pockets. was pretty pleased with the buys.
had a lovely day with Adele and my mum. Took her to the pool where we usually have lessons (though they have now finished for the year) and had a great time splashing and jumping in the pool. She did get spoiled with those dreaded hot chips for morning tea and some fruit salad. I don't really like giving her hot chips, but damn they were tasty!!! When we got home, she slept for 3 hours! was very nice.
Thanks girls for your input about the big beds. I bought Adele a quilt cover and pillow case set from IKEA on the weekend. We are planning to eventually put her into a single bed at some stage. I like the idea of taking away the toy if she gets out as she does have a couple of fav stuffed dogs she loves to bits. did any of your children fall out of the big bed?
keep well, icecream awaits me here with strawberries....going to be a hot one tomorrow here in SA, 37C!!

Oh Ealing...you should be a writer. Your posts are always so well written! Strawberries and ice cream...mmm. But a little too cold for here right now.
It's POURING with rain and VERY windy. Wear jeans and jumpers and have the kiddlets in winter pjs!!
Glad the camping went well Lee. So funny to hear Bailey's day care adventures. Reuel's going to start play group at a day care centre next yr. 2 days a week...will be interesting. Then the yr after that he starts kindy 2 days a week.

Just voted.
Winter Pj's Leesh? Gee whiz- I'd be cooked if I wore winter pjs at the moment. Although the weather here is atrotious. It'll be 30c in the morning and storming in the afternoon/night.
Ealing- Well- how can I explain without getting all fuddled up.
Since my sister moving out I thought I would have to get a full time job to make ends meet.
But seeing as I haven't had a full time job for the 3 weeks or so that she has been out I realised I could do it with just working the 2 days.
I wouldn't be able to do it if Bailey continued at daycare full time but I could afford for him to go 3 days which would allow me to go to Tafe for 1 day a week. Which works out kinda well cause I have lost all motivation and I think taking it slow for one semester might enable my motivation to come back.
I hope that makes sense.
I don't think it would be too difficult to get him back into daycare full time if I found that I wanted to do that after one semester. Esp if a good job comes along. So, I will be talking to daycare today about it and seeing how soon it can take place.
Chat later girlies.

Lee, thats great you dont need to go back to work full time. Sound like a great plan taking it slow:yes: Its a hard thing to know if to take him out of day care if he really likes it. I guess it depend on money wise and if you want him home with you

Are any of your children in big beds?
The longer I can keep Lill in a cot, the better. She enjoys it though as it's easier for her to jump on the bed while she screams and laughs until I wake up.
She will sleep happily in a normal bed, from the times we haven't had a portacot and such... but shes the type to wander and do her own thing, not come in and wake me up! Not cool.
Ive been feeling **** the past 2 days. Not sure whats wrong with me just havent been myself. I havent felt like talking to anyone or doin anything. Im just so over it. I was goin so good things seem to be getting easier but the last 2 days. Ive felt like im back at rock bottom
How ya doing now? I think it's normal to have days like that... I say normal loosely as not really sure of it myself lol but meh.. as my doctor said, "it'd be pretty weird to be happy 100% of the time... I'd really think you were nuts if you were"
Ok, Erin- Those photos were SOO cute! Was that a bruise I saw on her eye in the 2nd photo? I loved the photo of her asleep in the chair all curled up. Adorable. I love rare photos like that!
Buggered if I know what that mark is! Only saw it when the photos were uploaded, so def wasn't there on the day. Think it might just be make up, we were playing with her kiddy make up set at the time as well.
hehe oh the one on the chair was a real miracle shot... ...she fell off shortly afterward
I love that you can read Erin's posts like she's sitting right here.
Dude, isn't that like something out of a nightmare??????
It's POURING with rain and VERY windy. Wear jeans and jumpers and have the kiddlets in winter pjs!!
We just had two days of that, mostly lightening though. Then today, BAM, we're sweating like cows in a desert! Can't win. It was supposed to rain today as well, so I still have laundry sitting here.
Reuel's going to start play group at a day care centre next yr. 2 days a week...will be interesting.
Ah, we're in the same boat me thinks. Lill starts on the 9th next year and the week after will be the first 'full week back', so hoping it goes well enough that we can stick with 2days per week.
ealng, my day alone with pretty good but i spend the day on line:rolleyes: i could have done so much like cleaning the house, starting to wrap gift's so kinda a wasted day
heh, no such thing... you did something you wanted to do, and thats the main thing.
Mrs little, the weather has been like **** here aswell. One min its hot the next the rain is so heavy cant see 2 feet in front of you
Oh yeah, my drive way flooded... lol technically I only had a driveway pool for about 30minutes, but was still cool.
well, I did the lazy thing and multi-quoted... been a bit neglectful. Not sure why? nothings happening. Actually, Im thoroughly bored out of my mind.
I put the tree up really don't have space for it. But guess this means I probably won't move until after christmas.
Lill knows the word No... very very well. Mostly it annoys me, but on the days Im bored I ask her questions like "Are you pretty?" "NO" "Are you sane?" "NO" ... gotta entertain myself somehow.
And I did a little damage at the Big W sale.. on DVDs. It's better if I do a quick sweep of whats on offer and don't dawdle... if I dawdle I end up with twice as much
hmm not much going on ...

Hahaha, funny Erin. Just thinking of some of the funny questions I would ask Bailey.
I'm getting so confused with all these new emicons. They're all moving and it's just too much for my little head to get around!
Leesha and Erin- expect their to be the first few days full of crying and tears. It's harder if you're not ready for this. Someone once told me that you need to make the 'goodbye' as quick as possible. Even if their crying, just a quick 'ok, Mummy will pick you up this afternoon' have a good day' and a quick kiss and hug and than leave. Don't draw it out. And than if you wait where they can't see you and look in a window until they stop crying. This is what I sometimes do. Also, if Bailey is ever upset, he usually goes to one particular carer- Miss Kathy. He has a bit of a thing for Miss Kathy!
Yesterday, my Dad came over right before we were going to netball so Bailey decided Boppy was coming too. I was putting all my **** in the passanger side and Bailey grabbed Boppy's hand and took him over to the drivers side door and told him to open door and pushed him in. I think this is a fairly strong indication of what Bailey thinks of my driving!
LilShenanigans
07-12-2007, 14:49
hehehe least Lill doesnt know any better... its always me driving ... hmm I agree the emoticons are bit all over the place.. wheres my tongue??
..............:crying:..........:geek:
Im thinking we'll be alright with the first day.. so long as Lill did what she did before, and forgot I was there.. then declared she wasn't coming home. She may not quite get it til way after I leave... and then, technically.. it's not my problem... Right?? hehe
We're getting another storm blah. Beaches were closed today because of bad weather over the past couple of days. Not cool when your sweating your nads off. I might go sit on the bathroom floor.

I when to my sister place today to go through all the xmas stuff (she has more room then me to keep it all) I got there at 3pm started putting together things of tyler's that i was'nt wrapping. Then started to wrap next thing i knew it was 11pm:eek: and i still have'nt finshed wrapping everything the only reason i stop was because i ran outta wrapping paper:no:.
Now its 1.03am and im so over tried i cant get to sleep plus i have belly pains. We got pizza for dinner and i think its making me sick:hissy:
hi ladies,
hope that the weekend went well and that the Christmas cheer is also going ok as opposed to the christmas stress!
Tyler's mum: how is your tummy now? I get sore belly eating fast food; I think it is way too much oil that I can't handle like I used to be able to when I was a teenager! Hope that you are better. I love wrapping presents any time of the year and always find that the better you wrap the gift it is so much more appreciated as the other person knows that you thought of them when you wrapped it. In saying that, for young children it is a tad different in how wrap it.
Baileymoo:have you come to a decision about what you will do regarding work, childcare etc..? Hope that the ladies at the childcare place were helpful as well as your folks.
LilShenanigans: I agree about the cot thing. I was hoping to keep Adele in her cot for as long as possible, though I did relent and bought a new quilt/sheet set for her from IKEA for when the big day happens. I am just scared that she will not stay in her bed and ruin her sleep as well as mine.
Mrs Little: thanks for the writing comment. I tend to waffle on quite a bit as generally I am also a bit of a talker. Must be where Adele gets it from. I have briefly thought about writing children's stories/books but that is about as far as it goes. Have more fun reading them to Adele rather than actually having to write them.
Our weekend went well and relaxing. I ended uphaving to see a GP on Sunday as I had a sore ear and suspected an ear infection. My very first one ever and man it hurts! The drops that I got seem to be doing the trick. I cant imagine how little ones survive ear infections without being able to tell us how sore it really is!
Off to watch Grey's Anatomy...anyone else watch it? Missed it last week.

Ok, well.
Yes, I have decided about the work/childcare issue. I'm going to be taking 2 days a week off and Bailey and I will spend that time together. I am also going to ask the daycare if they can photocopy their Summer routine so I can try and follow that (with a few small changes) at home- that way I figure it will be less of a stressful change for B.
Tomorrow, we are going to get Santa photos! Can't wait.
I am also going to get out Bailey's 1st layby. I have decided to dramitically cut down on his presents. He is now getting;
A wiggles motorised 6 volt car (I know, I always said I hate motorised- how things change hey)
A train table (Nan and Bop are getting the train)
Some books
Some craft
Some junky Reject shop toys for his stocking (a cool Christmas cup with the straw wrap around- he's gonna LOVE that! And some Christmas Jewelery!!!)
A wiggles remote control car
A Thomas Adventure Land
A V8 driver (a car thing that they sit in and it has a gear stick and wheel and stuff)
And that's all. So, I'm pretty happy with that. I would also like to maybe pick up some peices of clothing- but we will see how $$ goes a few days before Christmas. What's everyone else got for their little ones?
I'm going to Hunter Valley on Thursday for a work conference so that should be good. Although, I'm hoping to be back in time for Bailey's Christmas Party on the Friday. I think I might ask someone here if they are driving back and depending on how things go, if I can get a lift back with them.
Tam- Hope your feeling better. Ok, so this might be TMI but lately I have felt really off. I have been going #2's quite a bit and they'll really give me pains before I go. And I have had quite a bit of gas- smelly ones too! Could they're be something going around?
Ealing- Oh, I hate ear infections. I used to get them all the time as a kid and man do they hurt. I used to have to wear a shower cap in the bath and ear plugs in the pool- it was horrible. I'm told a bursted ear drum is VERY PAINFUL. some even say, more painful than child birth- don't know about that one.
Oh, and I like to watch Grey's Anatomy but it's on so late. I can't stay up past 10!
Erin- did you get that storm on Friday? How scary. I work in the Baulkham Hills area and it was frightening here. I was almost too scared to drive home!

Oh we've had a few storms around here lately.. the joy of being surrounded by mountains where they can build up quite nicely, then terrorise us on the coast lol
Actually, I think the worse one for me was yesterday... it wasn't that bad, but there was one lightning strike that I didn't even see, it was that close. You know? Just heard it and ran.. had no where to run to considering I was at home, but whatever lol
I've been having the weirdest day today.
I had a really weird dream last night, that was more then likely started with the whole religion questions and the interest in the bible... but what I was dreaming about I don't know? lol Really bizarre... been playing on my mind all day.
Then I thought I'd check my bank account to see if I can drive down to Sydney this week... and well I have money. More then what Im supposed to have. And Im still waiting for transactions details to update coz Im lost! I don't have a clue where any of it would've come from!!
Then hey, I just found my cousin on here lol
Oh wait, then there was Robyn my local jehovahs witness... I kind of like chatting to her. But she dropped off some information which is exactly what I've been asking about... and she didn't know.
I mean, it's not the be all and end all of the questions, but it's a perspective I'm interested in and it just spun me out.
Crazy stuff... really crazy lol

lol oh no no... Im nothing technically... Im just a curious bugger lol
I don't like the pressure to conform to one or the other, it seems a bit stupid to me when they all really have the one belief... yada yada yada.
Basically, my question started as how can there be so many religions based on the same bible (its in that religion section)... and then, I had a hell of a lotta other questions lol so yeah... just snowballed from there

Oh, good stuff. Yeah, religious q can shir cause a stir. Along with the whole Santa v Jesus debarcle!
Going to the Hunter Valley today for work. Come back tomorrow afternoon/night. Had a little cry on the way to work about leaving B. It's the first time I've left him overnight, except for when he stayed at Nan and Pop's and we all know how that ended up. I really don't want to get a call tomorrow morn to say that Bailey's in Hospital again! Esp since lately his asthma has reared up again.
Got B's Santa photo done yesterday. He kicked Santa off his throne!

Anyway, gotta go. Speak to you all later.

LOL at that photo! That's such a classic!
I'm sure B will be fine, and I also hope you don't get a call tomorrow morning!
Well, as for me, most of the other day has calmed down lol I actually got a bit of a surprise when my transactions updated as the money was from CSA! I don't care whether he put it in himself, or was part of the tax return... either way, Lills been getting more presents, a couple of DVDs and some more clothes... which Im so grateful for right now! It just gave me that last little kick of Christmas cheer to be able to make Lills chrissie just a little bit cooler.
As for that though, I don't feel inclined to head down to Sydney just cause Lill got a payment. I know it's silly because technically I've been paying for her for so long, but it's the mentality of it. Blah. I'll save the trip for Christmas and see some family while there.
Needn't worry, bestfriend is coming up this weekend to buy me my christmas present :P So it all works out in the end lol
I'm also half tossing up whether to get Lill a cubby house... the one I saw is only a plastic one but still like those full structure ones, just not sure if it's worth it. May have to get someone to look at it with me, second opinion and all.
Well, thats all, Im knackered from all the shopping hehe
hi ladies,
Friday night yet again, thank goodness for the weekend. Man, shops are nuts and so many people look so stressed and unhappy which it shouldn't be but it just is.
Ear infection got better with the eardrops but the pain was still there if that makes sense. Went to the GP and was told that my ear canal was bulging due to the congestion in my sinus! great.....just some saline nasal spray (Fess) plus inhaling some steam and should fix it. Ear still a bit sore, but a bit better.
Do you girls get told that your child looks older than they should be? Had an inspection of the house to day and the real estate agent asked me if Adele was 3, I said, no she was 2 and turned 3 in Sept. She told me that she looked tall and was talking very well. I thought that she was about the average height, around 90cm. How tall is everyone else?
Not much planned for the weekend, will try my hand at making some chocolates and more baking.
Have borrowed the Young Guns DVD from the library to watch tonight.
keep well.

I cant believe xmas is almost here i still have a few laybyes on:no: Tyler is getting way to much but i cant help myself

Ealing- no, I don't ever get that Bailey is older than he is. Although, he is fairly short. He's 83cm. He's only just coming into size 2 now (the size 2 tops are a bit swimming but no chance for the pants). Bailey can count up to 10! YAY! I'm so proud of him. He's constantly going ooonnnnne, twwwwoooooo........
Went to Bailey's school Christmas party. It was soo good. They had 2 jumping castles, sausage sizzle- the usual. And of course Santa. Bailey got a present (which some of it was actually for me). He got a book (which is under the Christmas tree waiting for Christmas Day). I got a big portfolio of photos and little narations of stuff he's done- it is absolutely excellant. A cd of photos of him throughout the year. A keyring with a pic of him in a Santa outfit and some decorations that he made. Honestly, I think it would have to be the best present I will receive (not in a negative way). So worth the $$$! My sis has decided that although there is a centre down the road from her she is going to get her license and send E there. I LOVE IT!!!
My trip was good, got a free bag and had a blast. They had a Christmas Party with free drinks and most people got smashed and partied the morning away. I went to bed early because I was excited about the next morning. We did canival activities like clay shooting, archery, volley-ball. It was great fun.
Tam- don't you hate when tey touc 'your' stuff! Bailey broke my glasses the other day. Although I have to admit I can't blame him as I did leave them on the floor (was having a snooze on the lounge)- completely my fault. Still annoying!
Erin- how great is that! Extra money. I love when that happens at the best time possible. I should be getting money back from Castle Hampers for the hampers that are out of stock- which works out really well because I was going to try and refund one of them!
Does Lil see her Dad?
Well, I gotta go back home and mow the back lawn. Is disgusting. Than, I should clean the 2nd bedroom.
Mel and Leesha- where are you guys and how are the preperations going for Christmas?

Hi Lovelies!
Well I may attempt to reply :p
Life has been busy over here, as expected. Ava is now walking :(. I'm so not ready for my baby to walk, I wish she would slow down.
Jacob is well... Jacob is Jacob, thats never going to change!. But he is talking so much, jibberish sometimes but learning very quickly!
Us - Well we may be relocating to Dampier! Matt applied for a transfer and has had an Interview, so we will see how it goes. Moving would be great, but either way i'm not fussed!
Christmas - Has come around way to quick this year! This year has just flown by. I've finished shopping for Ava and Jacob... Jacob is getting lots of books, some DVD's, clothes, and for his big present he is getting "My first leapfrog" which I have to pick up in Perth, a train set, some tools! Lots of little things :D. My mum has brought him an Electric car..

So cute Mel.
Good news. Actually GREAT news! The BEST news.
I got a refund from the hampers that I didn't receive. and what should come yesterday afternoon....the hampers! So, I got some free toys and a free pizza maker. So excited. Am I going to keep it? Of course! Don't be thinking I'm an honest customer!
Anyway, got lots of work to do so chat later.
Will get back to everyone later.

I'll be quick...Nahum is due up soon.
Mel- Jacob has THE most 'OMG' look on his face in that Santa photo. Like...'Mum..what am i doing...who is this person..do i have too!'.
I can't believe how big Ava is...and her dark eyes!
Lee- what were the hampers from? Enjoy your christmas shopping at the plaza....make sure you have your boxing gloves on! :D:devil6:
Tam- sorry to hear about your keyboard...i don't know where i'd be without my internet and puter everyday.
Erin- has Lil actually started some sort of daycare already this yr?
Ealing- your ear infection has been round a while..poor u! I always get told that my boys are older than they look. Reuel is already at least 19kgs...and he's in size 3 clothes and size 8 shoes. If i told people those measurements and then his age...(which DH and i actually have)..without them seeing him..they tell me that he must be on chubby boy. But his quite the opposite..he's very skinny and extremely tall!
Wow..well that wasn't a quick post..but Nahum's still alseep..so i'll try to squeeze in some personals.
Things are well over here. We're moving into a bigger house in a few weeks..looking forward to more room again.
Nahum's TRYing to crawl..but not getting far. I keep thinking of Erin everytime Nahum he gets on his knees and does a little lift of one knee and then plonks it down again...because the only reason he'll move..is to go for the cat!!
Looks like Rohan might have a permenant job before xmas...which is great. It'll be 2 days on 2 nights on and then 6 days off. How awesome is that. He can do some youth work on the side (his passion) and i can start casual teaching next yr (need it for sanity). He gets salary which means the same amount each week even though it's only really 4 shifts of 12 hrs.
Talk to u all soon.

Im glad you cleared that up at the end ... for a moment there it sounded like Nahum was pretending to pee on a fire hydrant ... I was becoming offended :p
We didn't start daycare this year, I didn't like the place that had the space. She starts on the 9th of jan :yelclap:
Tam I was going to laugh when you posted about the keyboard, Lill broke my other one the same day!! I went manic trying to get it to work but all it would type was "qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq"
I ended up down at Big W late in the afternoon buying one.
Lills dad isn't around either. buggered if I know where he is
Nobodies surprised about Lils age, except one person did say she was quite big for her age... but then, that person probably doesn't feed their kid as it's impossible to assume Lill is a big girl!! She looks 2 I guess.
Well, in personal life... we went to check out christmas lights tonight, we only got home about 10pm! hehe It's ok, was a special night so I allowed Lill to stay up. But man it was so cool! I haven't been out in years because the one we used to go to growing up, stopped decorating about 5years ago which is so depressing. But seems like there's concentrated areas of festiveness up here :xmas:
We didn't check out everywhere, maybe 3 or 4 suburbs? should have a few more to go, least there's a couple more days before christmas.
I've also been spending more money on Lill for christmas... blah.
But you know, I want to spoil her rotten and I have the ability at the moment, so what the hell.
We're doing well though, leading up to xmas I seem to be extremely excited and can't wait! Today alone I think I remembered it was the 19th about 5 times thinking "hurry up! hurry up! hurry up!" (Mr Squiggle reference there) lol
Still don't want to drive down to Sydney though. Im getting lazy.

Ok, so had the BEST day yesterday! Went to KMART to get out the last layby. 1 present for B and 1 present for E (nephew). I went in, paid it off and asked if rather than going to the warehouse, getting the layby and than bring it back to refund the 7 present or so could I refund them straight away. She said, yeah, that's fine and gave me a refund. I went to the warehouse and they didn't see that I got a refund (it was written in plain englisg ' DO NOT GIVE' and highlighted) so they gave me all the toys except for 1 which my sis got mastakingly in hers (didn't have to pay for it) and an extra black and decker workbench. So, my sis and I split the toys and she's giving some to E for Chrissi and I'm giving some to B. It worked out so well. We were on a natural high all day.
I also got apid a bonus from work. So that came at just the right time.
With all this extra money I lent my sis about $400 because they weren't going to be able to buy her partners parents a gift, his nan and she didn't have enough money to buy E some junky stocking toys or get his Santa photos done. So, I also feel really good about that. There's nothing worse than thinking you haven't got enough, although I told her that it's just us parents with our own insecurities. The kids will be happy with anything!
Ok, now personals (I hope I can remember)
Leesha- We were in and out of that plaza in under an hour and a half! So, pretty good. Have you finished your Christmas Shopping. That's so good your moving to a new house and about Rohan's job. Has he started and when do you move? Does this mean we're going to be missing you for a couple of weeks again?
I can't beleive how big Reuel is. 19kg! But are we surprised, both you and Rohan are extreamly tall. Do you like being tall? I know some girls that absolutely hate it but I'd have to say I wouldn't mind some of their leg hight. They can make almost any dress look stunning!
Tam- how did you're day at the shops go? Are you done? Sorry haven't been able to catch up- christmas and everything that goes along with it is crazy. I left home at 7am yesterday and didn't get back until 5.30pm!
Erin- yeah, I agree, I like spoiling and although I might regret it later- I'll have fun doing it. I would love to have some of that restraint but I'm out of control!
Ealing- Gee, you're getting some nice weather down there! how come you arn't getting any of these storms.
I've probably forgotton something but oh well. If I don't speak again HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

HI ladies,
Can you believe that Christmas is on Tuesday already? Where has it all gone?
Hope that no one has to go the shops to get any more gifts for anyone...the shops are really getting out of control, people are looking so stressed out and strung out, carparks are crazy as well.
BaileyMoo: we did have nice weather, it is now raining all morning! nice as it has been pretty dry here, and the car really did need a wash!
Tylers Mum: Things here are good. My ear infection cleared up. Looking forwrad in heading off for the Chrismtas bread tomorrow. Dh has 2 weeks off and only has a half day today. Adele fell alseep in the car at 11am after coming home from the shops. Not too sure what is going there, but thankfully is still alseep. We didn't tell her that daddy will be home early so she will get a lovely suprise when she gets up. How are the eye drops going? hope that it clears up and doesn't spread to the other eye.
Erin: any more christmas light spotting along your way? that is a good idea to do. The blinking fairy lights are always pretty to see but love looking at how others decorate their houses (wouldn't like to see some of their electricity bills though!)
Mrs Little: good luck with the house move. We move alot and man, it is a pain to pack and throw things out. Still, the extra room will be worth it.
Melo: Hope that the Qld Christmas is a nice one and that the children (and your family) have a lovely day.
Wishing all you lovelyl ladies and your family a wonderful christmas. Thank you for making me feel warm and welcomed to your group since I have been here. Shall look forward in hearing about how Christmas went for you all and how the children enjoyed it.

Hello again,
Well Ealing- I can't beleive you braved the shops with a toddler in tow. I thought we were brave with a 10.5month old- a toddler is a whole nother storey. I hope you don't have to go back again.
Pretty bored. Done all the work that's required. Passing time.
Erin- Oh, I LOVE light looking. We should be setting out tonight to hunt down the 'good' houses at Mum and Dad's house. They are usually some petty good ones. I think it's a combination of a new estate full of people with little kids and too much money (they should pass some our way!). I'd hate to see some of these electricity bills. Speaking of which, I got 2 months worth of electricity bills this week. They apologised and said that I could get an extension if needed. I was pretty happy with the amount though. For 2 months it was $215. And I can safely say that whenever I wanted the air-con on, I put it on!
Anyway, gonna go again.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
LilShenanigans
21-12-2007, 15:02
Lee, you should be buying lottery tickets lol
I asked the lady I was speaking to about her house, about the electricity bill and she said it doesn't add that much on, about the same really.
Apparently she runs things like the dryer/dishwasher and aircon regularly, and then when the christmas lights are up because it's daylight saving, they don't get turned on til about 8pm and turned off about 10-10.30.
It's not that long really. Although, there are people out there who leave their lights on much later!
Haven't found anymore good ones, we went out to see fireworks last night and thankfully Lill handled them well (this time! lol). She was more mesmerised then anything...
They had the count down and I'd been telling her all day we were going to see the "Boom Booms" tonight, so when they went off we were saying "boom boom".
I think that helped.
Been fun...
Im completely knackered lately though. And mostly today it seems, Lills just been acting up.. shes managed to lose her hat when she threw it out of the pram - I didn't even see it.
And a few little spak attacks dotted around the day... wonderful stuff
Mostly still sane
hi again,
BaileyMoo; actually i braved the shops to Toys R Us with Adele! Was quite fun infact as I really had nothing to get and knew that she would just love going there like she always does. We also had morning tea at the cafe which she enjoyed too. We waited at the shop entrance until it opened with Adele yelling "toy shop wake up now"!
again, hpe that youall have a great Christmas. WIll be busy grocery shopping and packing for the trip.
