How long after ovulation can you do a HPT?

7 to 10 days with an early pregnancy test.Mine didnt come up positive until 3-4 weeks post ovulation.

The longer you hold out the better, i reakon. Doing a test too early and seeing a -'ve is too traumatic! I would personally wait until the day before af is due or the day of af. Of course it depends on what your usual signs are before you get af. I always get 2-3 days of spotting and thats what tipped me off last year that i might be pregnant because the day before af was due i still didn't have spotting.

I tested at 11dpo and got a strong positive.I think it depends on the individual.

i would wait until AF is at least 1 day late but in saying that i know ladies on here that have got a positive on 9dpo
