I have a question for all the parents who vaccinate their children. Sorry to start another thread on this topic, but it was pretty OT in any other current thread.
For all of you who DO vaccinate your kids, when did YOU and your husband/partner have your last booster shots? What did you have?
I had my last tetanus one about 15 years ago, and was told that the new research now says you dont need anymore boosters if you had a few of them. I also got checked for my rubella immunity, and would have happily gotten it if I needed it.
I had a tetanus shot about 3 months ago.

I had tetanus and flu vaccine oh and cervical cancer vaccine about 2 months ago....
What are you trying to get at with the question? I noticed you emphasised YOU, It seems as though your trying to prove a point or something??? Not starting a biff was just curious.

Whenever I get DD vaccinated (which won't be again until she's 4), they harrass me about getting myself done. I've gotten... something done since then, and it was suggested DP get it done too, so I dragged him in oneday to get it done too.
I had a tetanus booster 4 years ago. Along with Hep A, Hep B, Typhoid and something else - we were travelling to Morocco. I also had an MMR vaccine around the same time, my GP noted that I'd never had measles or rubella (I had had mumps though) and my last rubella shot was when I was 13. He still tested my rubella immunity when I got pregnant. This is a big one for me. I know a girl whose mum had rubella during her pregnancy. The girl is completely blind.
I also had the flu vaccine last year, but didn't get around to it this year.
DH is a dentist, so he is immunised against Hep A, Hep B and TB. He has also travelled to Morocco and India and has had various vaccines for those trips.

Both DH and I have travelled extensively for work, so we are up to date on immunisations.
My last immunisations were when I was pregnant, so nearly 4 years ago, when I got a booster for MMR (measles mumps rubella) I think. I am up to date on Hep A, Hep B, Typhoid. I had immunisation for yellow fever in 1991 and 2000, I'm not sure if the 2000 one is still valid but would get it redone if I was travelling. I think the only immunisation I've never received is Japanese encephalitis, because I have never travelled to an area where it's recommended.
I did not get the cervical cancer vaccine because I already have the HPV strains it protects against.
I choose not to get flu shots, though they are offered at my workplace.

What are you trying to get at with the question? I noticed you emphasised YOU, It seems as though your trying to prove a point or something??? Not starting a biff was just curious. The emphasis on 'YOU' was just so people didn't misunderstand and think I was talking about their children. i.e "When did you, in the first person..." not "when did you get your child....". Just making sure there was no confusion :)
Not trying to prove any point at this stage, just wondering how many parents are immune to the diseases they are getting their child immunised against.
when i got my first baby vax'd i also got mine updated. i think all i needed then was tetanus, that was 10 years back.
i felt it was only fair and the least i could do to go through the pain of it with her actually.
i now selectively vax my kids and haven't had any vaccinations myslef since that one. i don't think there are any that i need, as i am not in any sort of high risk work, don't travel, am young healthy etc.
thats right, I did have the Hep B shots as well due to my occupation
I immunise my kids and my self with just about every vaccine that i can get my hands on:D:D(hubby doesn't though), I have had 5 shots of rubella in 6yrs(after each of my last 5 babies), and i have had the flu shot and also tetanus, but i haven't had gardasil(too old).
I had my last tetanus one about 15 years ago, and was told that the new research now says you dont need anymore boosters if you had a few of them.
yep, that's what I heard last too- not another booster til you're 50.
Apparently you no longer need to have Hep B immunity checked every 5 years anymore either- once you've had it that's it.
Back on topic- my last booster as such would have been about 15 years ago too for Tetanus, I had my Heb B immunisations about the same time as I was wanting to get in to a medical field and it was required.
Also had Rubella checked when I was preg with Hugh.
I would have liked the Cervical cancer vaccine if it was available to me.
I wanted to get a Q Fever vaccine but when I was preg when it was offered and once I was no longer preg they stopped making it- I think they are making it again now though- Dh had a skin test for that and was found to not need it.

I am coming up to being due for my tetanus in a few years and I had my rubella 5 years ago.
I am unable to be vaxxed for Chicken Pox (never had the disease either) as I'm allergic to the vaxcine.
DH vaxxed for rubella at same time as me and his work will be involving OS travel next year so he will be having regular vax's for those trips.
Have had blood tests with each pregnancy to see if my immunity is ok.

 sure am up to date with mine. Plus I've had the hep B which I had when it first came out. Oh and Hubby is also up to date with his as well ;) .
hmmm *thinks*
had Hep A and B (due to work risks .. paid for by work) in 2002?
had tetanus shot (before the wedding .. tripped over a log carrying presents!!) 2003
Had all my immunity levels checked before both pregnancys were achieved - no boosters needed.
(I have had ONE flu vax - but my arm went red, swollen and hot, so my GP advised me not to have another on the basis that my reaction next time may have been worse - but DH has one every year)
I dont think I've needed anything else - once I have the injection- my immunity tends to stay high..
ETA - would happily line up for the cervical cancer vax .. but I'm about 2 years too old

I had tetanus a few years ago after injuring myself & the rest a few years before that due to having whooping cough & my immune system being ravaged as well as my lungs being damaged.
Ive also never had anything bar reubella which i am now naturally immune to so make sure i have some sort of immunity to measles, CP etc.
I also have a flu vax every year also due to what whooping cough did to my system & lungs but missed it this year due to being heavily pg & suffered terribly due to it !

I had Hep A and Hep B shots, as well as typhoid the year before going on my honeymoon (travelling to countries where these diseases are prevalent). I had a blood test to check my rubella antibodies three years ago, and would have got a booster if they had disappeared.
I had a tetanus booster about three years ago after cutting my hand at work. My husband had the same travel immunisations as me, and recently asked for a MMR (which the doctor refused to do).
ETA: I would have vaccinated myself against meningicoccal, measles and mumps, but had all of these diseases before I turned two, so no real point.
I had one when dd was 4 months old...whooping cough, tetanus and something else.
DH got the chicken pox vac when dd1 did...I didn't as I've had chicken pox and had my immunity checked for it before we started ttc dd2.
I still need to get the hep vac....I do want to get them done...I'm just very lazy with myself. We don't do flu shots (kids included), and neither myself or my kids will get the cervical cancer vax, or the gastro one. I am happy to immunise against rubella, measles hep etc. but don't want to add more chemicals to our bodies than necessary...does that make me a selective vaxxer?
