View Full Version : Switching from boiled to tap water
Now that DD is one,I understand I can stop boiling her drinking water.....should I mix half boiled and half tap water for a while so her tummy gets used to the fluoride etc in the tap water?
Or is that just silly :o
I would if she is sensitive to change, otherwise I wouldnt worry, I think our tap water is pretty good!

I was wondering the same thing....
Wasnt to sure on when to start introducing "normal" water to his diet - We have a cold filtered water cooler so I guess it won't be pure tap water.....
I used tap water from about 8 months onwards ... they were drinking it in their sipper cups and their bath by this age ... all kids seem to suck on facecloths!:p Neither of my kids seemed to be harmed by this decision.
I figured once DS started picking up anything and everything and placing it in his mouth, and eating normal food, that boiling tap water wasn't needed. This happened much earlier than age one.
Sorry guys, I wouldn't drink plain tap water myself, let alone give it to my bub. The amount of chlorine they use to treat it, all the dirt in it... Chlorine treatment is basically equivalent to 2 drops of Domestos per standard glass... :(
