HI guys just a quick question. I am not drinking any alcohol at the moment at all whilst we are TTC as have been told that even a little bit can harm your eggs. we have our 1 year wedding anniversary coming up and dh's birthday and would maybe like to have one! my GP said that it is Ok in the first two weeks but the natauropath said really none at all is best? What do i do as I dont want to have a drink and then think that is why I wasn't UTD? also my stuipid text went like this slantie writting  somehow and I don't know how to change it back! having a blond moment here!:hair: :hair:

I think there are a number of woman (myself included) who had an evening on the turps that either ended in conception or they were pg and didn't know it! It's not my place to advise anyone that it's ok to drink whilt TTC or pg. What I did whilst pg and I wanted a drink was to have one or two very 'watered down' drinks like a shandy made with a lite beer (50% lemonade and 50% lite beer) or a white wine mixed with soda water (50/50).

Just thought I'd share my experience. For about eight months DH and I cut out all alcohol, only ate organic, kept ourselves really healthy for ttc, then we decided the timing was no longer right and it was stressing us out, so we stopped.

Then we went out drinking regularly (not a little bit, as in getting off our faces), ate lots of junk food and generally put health as a bottom priority and enjoying our youth at the top  and after three months of this I got pregnant.

So not having alcohol of course is conducive to conception but it's not 100% assured and vice-versa. Something my experience taught me was; the universe was not withholding my baby from me, waiting for me to do all the right things before letting me conceive. Some things are just not in our control (which can be a good thing) :)

Both my kiddies we conceived on nites i was drinking , I drank heavy a few months before leading up to conception with dd1 ;)

but just a glass an a half every now an then is not much harm i think ;) just remember alcohol is a drug an moderation is needed ;)

many baby dust vibes for u
