Good Morning ladies

Well off to get the car serviced today. It will be at the place where we bought the car from. But it's such a pain cause they don't have a courtesy car, so I have to drop bubs off at his oma's and then either wait there at the service place or walk down to the closest shops for a couple of hours...Don't they realise I have much better things to do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is well here. Noah had bubby yoghurt yesterday for the first time. Of course he loved it, but I did find that when he had a little spil later on it did smell quite chucky. YUCK

Mel Wow 30.c today, time for the airconditioner hehehe

Michaela Thanks for the advice with the nappies, had no trouble with washing them together...I was working out how many I have already and how much I have spent. $$$..So since I have become hooked I have 12 mcn's Woohoo and its mainly a variety as they all look so good. I suppose I will soon get some favourites as I start to use them more....
I'm in process of getting a night time nappy, I am looking out sandmans (thanx Carrie) and KK but kk's seem to be out of stock everywhere I look???

Carrie Undercover Party woohoo any excuse for a party hey. Hope Ella sleeps better tonight. or last night for that matter...

Hollie Love the New Toy!!! Monty will love it. Lucky boy...

Lana Congrats on the Bargin!!! You gotta love a good bargin especially telling everybody about it. I love Myers for clothes bargin.
Bargin Bargin Bargin I just thought I would mention it again as I said just said so many times hahaha

Sarah Hope your boobie hehe get better soon... I have never had eczema but I do occasionally get dermatitis on my hands and I know much of a pain in the bum that is, so I feel for you....

ok gtg get ready, E's off preschool today :smiliedance: I do love my Monday's and Wednesday's.
TMI He just did a real runny poo so to me thats a sign he might have a sore tummy?? I hope he's ok we'll see how the mornig progresses...

C U  :D

Welcome Jaxcoop!!

Defaipe - So far I have no idea what I have spent (don't really wanna know ...) but I have:

4 baby beehinds (waiting on the part-time pack & some extra boosters & covers plus another fitted & 2 magic-alls so will have about 14 of those all up including magic alls).

3 Peapods + 3 night boosters

4 bumgenius pockets (excellent for going out & trim under clothes & pretty colours).

2 Nappie Chappie Sandmans for night time & wool soaker

1 berry plush (waiting on 1 more)

Also waiting on lilac Green Kids one.

Check out darlingsdownunder.com.au (Tania is great to deal with), babyblossom.com.au and another I have looked at is theweewuns.com.au.

I keep saying to dh IT'S THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!!

Sarah - Have a lovely time at the movies. Haven't been since E was about 3 mths old & we had a dummy. May have to take rusks next time! LOL.

Mel - I agree with Sarah - U R CRAZY WOMAN!!! What a beautiful kitchen & GORGEOUS VIEW!!

I feel like going out (walking somewhere) but no cashola and nowhere to go.

Hope I get fluffy mail ROFL.

Have a great day girls.

Jaxcoop hello and welcome, hope you enjoy lots of chatting

I keep saying to dh IT'S THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!!
ADDICT!! lol but i agree, i am so soo happy with them.
hey... the parcel man just came... its fluffy! its 4 blueberry stuffable aios (aio+pocket, gonna make some boosters). they had a sale on :) i've got large tho, 10kg+ so my little man has a few weeks yet.
i am thinking of lending them to a friend with a toddler, convert her too!!!

Kel for night nappies, i like to use a baby beehinds with lots of boosting and cover or a greenkids anytimes with the nght inserts (from trial pack). if you search 'night nappies' in the cloth nappy area you will find heaps of recommendations!

sorry ladies this is turning into nappy city... back on track, laksa!

Mel gotta agree, you're mad to move! such cute pics of E too, she always makes me want to cuddle her.
i am jealous of your lovely warm weather, perth still cold, c'mon summer!!

Lana nice score! wanna catch up tomorrow for coffee? how about you, defaipe??

well groucho here is ready for his sleep so i'll be back later!

ELLA HAS JUST ROLLED TWICE FROM BACK TO TUMMY!!!!! YAY!!!

I missed it the first time - I gave her a bottle, put her on her back on the floor & clicked on my emails, turned around & she was on her belly! LOL. Then I couldn't remember if I did actually put her on her back but I must've cos I never put her on her belly when she's had a bottle. Then I rolled her back & it's taken ages & a lot of bribing putting good toys near her to get her to do it again.

MICHAELA - Can u pls send me a link to the blueberries? Never heard of them.

Also, I got a green kids - did you mean there is a night nappy called 'green kids anytime' or you mean you use them anytime. I am confused!

Morning all! Great to see to many happy healthy posts, let's hope that we are all pretty much over the Spring collywobbles :yelclap:

Hollie-That toy looks awesome, one of my MG kids has it and they all take turns in it when we're at her house, LOL, they LOVE IT!!! I think wee Monty will have a ball.
Very much looking forward to the KK release, I am dying to see how they look. (The logo cracked me up, little roly man is hilarious)

Sarah-I'll be around a bit today, walking group at lunchtime, but DH is going to be on the computer all night (I was warned this morning, LOL) so I'll be trawling!
How are things with you? Are you finding that O is getting a bit better about missing his Dad/getting grumpy with I?

Howdy Jaxcoop! Love your avatar, quite the character you have there! :p

Mel-beautiful kitchen and view, a second storey will be awesome!

I am currently entertaining the boy (who is on the futon) by making stupid faces from my desk, he gurgles and smiles then gets all coy and shoves his hand in his mouth and turns to face the back, then looks at me over his shoulder! Little cutey. All those hours of practising touch-typing are paying off! (Please ignore any spelling mistakes, LOL, I haven't done secretarial work for a looong time!)
He's wearing a new pair of knitted pants, finally finished after around amonth of knitting (at one point I lost a needle, LOL)... I'll have to take a photo!
Speaking of photos, a friend took some gorgeous pics of him yesterday (she's a pro) so can't wait for her to email them to me!!!

Thanks Kel, the bites went down very well that day and his head looks fine now, *phew*
I hope you find some interesting way to pass the time today, how frustrating!

Oops, my 'quick post' has gotten long again and I'm barely through half what I wanted to say :(

Quickly- Carrie- your avatar is awesome, when did Ella start sitting so well?
LL- I voted the 2nd pic, as he reminds me of a Rice Bubbles elf, LOL, super cute, but also love the smiling one

Hi Jaxcoop I have seen you around the threads, will tell u a bit about me ...

I am 24 (& a half lol), my dh is 26.

Ella is 6 & a 1/2 mths old, born 15/3/07. She is also teething lately & know how u feel! She has half a tooth since about 3 weeks ago (as in it's through but hasn't come all the way up yet iykwim).

I am on the Bayside area & pretty sure I have seen u in the threads about bh meets so here is a link to one I am organising if u wanna come:

http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=120918

I used to be a legal secretary/paralegal before a SAHM. I wanna be a SAHM forever, lol.

I am a recent cloth convert & started off alternating with terry towelling & sposies while I built up my stash of mcn's. I think it is a great thing to do, much easier than the old days so don't let your mum or whoever put you off!! Plus if you wash every day like me it's no extra hassle!

You will love this thread although you don't get much time to look at anything else on bh. I pretty much just chat here.

Enjoy!

Hello Gin!!

Kes sounds just so beautiful! What a cutey :)

I have been looking at knitted shorties & longies for E now she is in cloth ... but I just can't find any I like a lot. Be sure to post a pic of Kes in his new threads ;)

Hollie - I agree with Gin & I forgot to mention earlier I love the KK logo! Is it supposed to be Monty? Hehe. It reminds me of Ella!

Hmmm ... I am hungry, shake time! I had toasted muffins with vegemite & pb (not 2getha!) for brekky with an OJ cos my throat felt sore & vegemite does wonders!

Sarah how was the movie?

GIN - I forgot to answer your q - Ella has been sitting well for quite a while now but over the last few weeks she hasn't been bothered lol. She looked drunk & refused to balance. But now she is sitting really well again.

Welcome to the march thread jaxcoop. Hope you feel part of it all soon enough. You boys sound beautiful. E is teething also - having a rough day today. She was out of sorts yesterday arov - and it has pretty much continued into today... Just put her down in her cot for a sleep - but i think she is playing.

Thanks for all the nice comments on my kitchen - we designed it, and did the colours... We've had mostly positive feedback - anyway, we like it.... It is a lovely place to live, but it is time to move on. We can capitalise on this place and make life much easier for ourselves by moving. As i said - had an offer we couldn't refuse!!! Plus, we're a bit worried about floods - if there was a decent downpour in the district - we would be under.... Might not happen for years - or even ever, but we'd rather not be here for it....

We've done heaps to the house over the 5 years of being here - looks nothing like when we bought it - so we've achieved alot.

Carrie - how cute is Ella in your ava with the bunny suit on!!! Too Damn Pretty I say...

Gin - glad the knitted pants look groovy... It's too hot here now for me to work with wool, so have to find time to sew.... I just never seem to have a spare moment... Some of you mums are so damn organised. ha ha

We went for an early walk to beat the heat, then i managed to cook up a whole lot of vegies for E - whilst she watched me.... She is super grouchy with her teeth today... I am out of ideas with what to do with her actually - nothing is entertaining her at all... Just a super grumpy.:o

Yep im in for a meet tomorrow! I have an appt at 1pm BUT im free all morning so maybe we could meet at like 9.30am or something like that.

Hi Jaxcoop  welcome to our very chatty thread (feels like just yesterday we had the previous new thread opened lol)

Gin - Im in for the zoo on Monday!! Woohoo!! I am so bloody excited its not funny! Im like a little kid around xmas time!

All this talk of the mcn's is inspiring me to get my butt into gear. I was meant to be dong it already but we all got sick. I have finally washed his Bumgenious and just have to re-wash the insert a couple more times for absorbency.

Mel - You have an awesome kitchen and what a view! I can understand your concerns though and the reason you are moving... i would be worried too (especially with global warming and all)

Carrie - Sounds like you have quite a stash now! Way to go girl!

Has anyone heard from RTCsmum?? She hasnt logged on since i sent out the Kris Kringle info so she doesnt know who she has and i still need to get her address off her for the person buying for Chloe. If i havent heard from her in a couple of weeks i will give the other person someone else (the person RTCsmum had is a girl too)

Carrie I too have been looking for some wool shorties and soakers (i think thats what they are called) I haven't found any that I like either and when I do see something I like they r always out of stock :hair: I did buy a pair off ebay they are from flock art, chocolate merino wool or something like that. I paid $14 plus 5 for postage... Hope they are ok, she said they are new and lanolised just didn't fit her bubs...Good job Ella for rolling!!!!

Gin Isn't it cute and adorable when they start doing things like that, it's the start of their personality showing...:)

Carrie Your stash looks lot a bit like mine, a nice variety. Have you tried bubblebubs they are pretty cute too.

Jazcoop WELCOME You finally decided to join us. You will definetly love it here. The girls are so welcoming...
How did your bbq at Forster go for Jaxon's bday? I hope the weather was nice for you. Was it warm enough to go for a little swim. If Jaxon is anything like my E he would have stipped off ready to go in. We were there last July and E lust couldn't resist, he loves water, his little feet were red mind you from the cold water...
Some of my stats are Married for 5 yrs, 2 boys, sahm, reasonbly new to March mummies and Bubhub, very new to MCN's and loving it...be warned they are addictive:D And if you go back to some recent post you will find all of our 6 mth stats for all our bubs...

Hi just dropping in ...

Gut feeling was right - was knocked back for the loan. I am sooo upset as my car is not gonna last much longer & it's not safe.

They said we had no assets but WTF are we meant to do when we can't get a loan?

Gonna try calling Aussies as a friend suggested as they had luck with them finding a lender also gonna see if Virgin do loans as they were the only ones to approve a credit card for me & they can see I make regular payments etc.

Ciao

my 2nd attempt at replying, wrote a big one while H occupied in walker then stupid net dropped out and lost it! now Harper's all grumpy, i put him in the ergo so i could hang the washing! his mouth is so sore, i feel so bad for him :crying: he's off his food and boob too, poor bub...

Sara so yep we're teething too! H has one just poking out since last week. he was ok for a while but now back to being upset, i hate that pain cry :(
we have another Cooper in our group - Emma80 :) it is one of my fave names.
now is a great age to get into cloth nappies coz you go straight into medium and one-size-fits-all (OSFA) which fit up to toilet training (mostly) and future kids if you're planning any? i think OSFA are often a bit massive on newborns tho.

ok 3rd attempt at replying - put H down, did housework, got lunch here at the comp...

Lana & defaipe 9.30 is cool with me, tomorrow morning is meant to be showery, where should we meet? pm me.

Carrie sorry to hear about your loan, hope you have more luck with the others :fingerscrossed:
yay for Ella rolling back to front!!

i can't believe all our little bubbas are so big and on the move. ohhhh, sentimental laksa... i am so clucky for a tiny one lol!!

dunno how i would do it tho, right now i am so happy H is asleep so i can have a break.

re the champagne bottles, i think i will put #3 on them and #2 on the invites coz i just love them both too much. gotta ask my friend, the Photoshop King, to make invites...
Al said yes to a spring cleaner "housework heroes" woo hoo! so they better do a good job. it will give me more incentive to clean up the junk room too, knowing it can't be cleaned like that!

ok have a good day, all!

YAY the movie was fabulous!
Loved it, Iris had a boobie feed and slept through most of it (which turned out well coz it wasnt a mums and bubs session after all ooppsy!)

quick post..... Gin nice to see you round, O is doing really really well~ his doing swimming twice a week, yoga and I give him a massage during the day (if he doesnt have a sleep) which really helps relax him and calm him for the afternoon

Hi and welcome Jax:wave:

ok gotta go housework calling me:kiss:

I hope i receive my Lazybones stuff today or tomorrow!!

ETA: MICHAELA - I just received the ******* Pronto Catalogue and i turned it over and there on the front is your spunky boy!!! He looks adorable on the front cover! (and on the back of course)

Officially today has been looooong. Ellery's teeth are just upsetting her so much.... I went for another walk - even though its quite warm out there. Went down streets that have alot of shade... The little mite was SO GOOD whilst walking - went to the shop and had a coffee and everyones saying 'Isn't She Such a Good Girl"..... :banghead: At least it does make her happy, just wears me out at times - I should be a size 8 the amount of walking i do, but alas - got a bit to go to reach that goal!!!

To top it off - she started grizzling the moment we got in the door. I put her in the cot so I could go to the toilet - came back, and she's asleep!!!!!!!!!! AAGGHHH - don't want her to sleep now.... I will leave her till DP gets home, then if not awake - will get her up for a bath and bottle.

Sarah - glad you enjoyed the movie and also, that Iris was a good little one during it.

Michaela - hope Harpers teeth come good soon. Ellery hasn't any through yet - but her gums are bright red and lumpy.... It awful when you can't do alot to help hey.

Carrie - sorry to hear about the loan.... Hope you have more luck with Aussies.....

Well done on rolling Ella!!!
carrie thats a bugger about the loan.. be warned tho every time you go for a loan and its rejected it goes on your record so its best not to go for heaps unless theres a good shot.. frustrating hey!

michaela i just got a copy of the ******* mag! Harper is so cute

did i mention i got A's ears pierced? she has pink/silver studs, very cute. she whinged till i put her on the boob. this was a few weeks ago.

A is going better on solids.. she will open her mouth now but still not getting much down.. she had her first disgusting thick poo before..

in the ******* mag there are bambino mio training pants.. would these be the same as a cloth nappy?? D is in knickers at home but still has an accident if she is playing and forgets.. so i wouldnt risk taking her out and about without a pull up.. she's getting better tho.. anyway should i just put a cloth nappy on her?
hollie can i use the one you sent me that i use for swimming? do i need to put anything inside it? with the bambino ones it says the toddler will feel the wetness but it wont leak.. so they learn they need to go.. is that the same? geez im confused!!

D got hold of my lip gloss, half her face was covered haha

26-09-2007, 09:28 PM
ok so where exactly is everyone?

i gave D panadol before she went to bed.. she's still not 100%. so just be warned Lana & Michaela.. i might be cancelling:( i feel like all i ever do is cancel!! i was meant to go to a book party at a friends earlier but it was at 1 and kids ofcourse were asleep and D's not well.

seriously tho all i ever do is cancel on everyone!! grr its annoying for me so i can only imagine how peeved everyone would get! im surprised i still get invited out:o:laughing:

gtg A is awake.. she had another shocking nappy earlier.. yuk!

defaipe i havent got my ******* mag yet! i am hanging to see it. will check with my friend if mine doesnt arrive soon. want an extra to post to mum too.
oh i hear ya on the totally rank poos! :barf: soooooo gross!!

re training pants, i don't know anything about them but lots of the mcn shops sell them. maybe ask in the cloth nappy area which ones other people have tried?

ok i just got home from my cousins. she is packing to move and took the cutest pic of Harper and her 1yo Caleb in a packing box. will try to find my nokia cord so i can download it.

anyway, i need a shower and get this kid changed...
oh! i went to laser acupuncture today and mentioned Harps teething (the guy is a gp too). he did the laser on his gums, its all bulk billed so hopefully it works and i will take him every couple of weeks... i prefer a natural approach to paracetamol if i can help it!

ok shower and then sit in bed and watch abc, love wed - spciks'n'specks, chasers and summer heights high... too funny!

night ladies!

Hey Im here just floating around...it is pretty quite in here isnt it???

Guess what???????????
NOAH said da da da da da today!!!! :yelclap:
How exciting, he sort of pokes his tongue to the corner if his lips/mouth and makes a sound and it comes out as dadadadada...DH was off today and he was here when he said it so it was extra special... Now just have to work on ma ma ma ma. hah

Car service today went well. I got quoted $285 but when it came to paying it was $233 so that was a nice suprise. The car drives like a dream again, so smooth. They even washed and vaccumed  good job boys

Hollie I've been over at the MCN threads and found out about your KK's. How exciting!!! Tell me how I can get my hands on one :D You clever girl....

Michaela I don't get the mag but I had a look on the website and I think I saw Harper. Is he in the picture with the teething ring thingy????

Getting sleppy - more tomorrow

Elmopalooza
26-09-2007, 10:53 PM
Defaipe - Aww i hope D is feeling better tomorrow and you are still able to come. It will be terrible if you have to go through the whole tonsillitis thing with her as well, poor little chook.

Michaela - I would love to know if the laser works on Harpers gums. Oh and you can have a look at my copy of the ******* mag tomorrow. You can take it for your mum if you like cos i have already had a look.

Kel - Woo! Lucky thing you have a nicely serviced car! I need to put mine in too. Hopefully they will clean mine like they did yours

I forgot to tell you all that Griff slept through last night!! He woke at 11 and i was still up anyway so i just put his dummy back in and then when he woke at 3am i put his dummy back in again and he slept until 8.30!! (i put him to bed at 7.30pm) Im really hoping he can do the same for me tonight as well!

melannh
27-09-2007, 04:28 AM
Kellie - great about the car service being cheaper - plus cleaned and vacuumed... great going. Mine desperately needs a clean - looks like i've been bush bashing! Also, it is running a bit scary to - not due for a service, but getting close....

Yeah for Noah saying Da Da... How exciting. I am trying hard with Ellery - but nothing audible as yet... She just makes lots of noise at times. Will be exciting when she does though. Love her to say ma ma first - but that is so much harder than Da.....

Michaela - the poos are just gross hey. E always has a nice one in the morning for me. Always a bit like shrek green... :barf: I am getting use to it now though... She's been doing them for a while.....

Lana - YEAH for Griff sleeping better during the night..... That is great. Bet you didnt know yourself with so much sleep... Hope he keeps doing it for you - much better when you're able to have a decent nights sleep.

Got my aunt and cousins coming today. He is the little one that broke his leg/ankle. He ended up having to have an operation on Saturday - but he's doing better now that it is in place. It was broken in 2 places and the ligaments were badly damaged also - so he had to have the operation as it wouldn't heal. He said it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much. As it is holidays - i think he's getting stir crazy at home, so my Aunt thought it good to get him out of the house. He can just sit here and talk to E... Plus, gets my aunt out. Hoping E will play with them as she's been so clingy with her teeth etc....

Going to be another warm one today. Prediciton of storms - but they usually don't eventuate...

There are two high chairs in it. One for $99 and one for $129 they both look like they will do the job...I am willing to spend more but if I don't have to then I wont...iykwim....any opinions on these????

Morning ladies & babies ...

Meant to be going to a cafe/nursery/farm thing today (it has farm animals for the kids) for MG but it is raining!

SO I have emailed the girls to see if they wanna go see Hairspray or something at the movies, even tho BIA are on Wed's not today I thought it's school hols anyway & there'll be heaps of kids around so it won't really matter too much.

I still feel down about the loan, my car is so sh!t and so embarrassing. The bonnet is still black, the rest of the car red, the passenger door has to be opened on the inside which is awkward with E obviously, it was running really well after we had it fixed a couple of months ago but it's running like cr@p again.

I am gonna get forms from BOQ today as they seem heaps better than my bank anyway lol. I was looking to see if Virgin do them as I have my cc through them so they know i make regular repayments & they do low interest rate homeloans now but not personal/car loans.

I just wanna nice car ... one with 4 doors that open from the outside!

Lana - Well done on Griff sleeping! Let's hope he keeps it up.

Michaela - Thanks for the email x You will have to post the link to the mag for Harper's modelling debut!

Defaipe - I bet the studs look pretty on A. Sorry to hear about D being sick again. You've had a bad run lately. Hey have you got approved loans before, even with C's credit history? We have paid David but she said it was cos of 'lack of assets'. Any advice??

Sorry to hear about all the teething bubs. I know how it is! And I hate that cry too when they are in pain. Poor bubs.

Sarah - Glad the clothes look nice. I didn't look anymore as too scared to buy stuff I can't try on. I bought stuff from UCW instead lol.

Ok gtg feed the girl - she's rolled on her tummy & she winges when she wants to go back on her back but I help roll her over & she automatically rolls back to her belly like she can't help it LOL.

Bye!

well D definitely has tonsillitits.. she's not well at all, her glands are up from under her ears to near the bottom ofher neck.. it feels like the size of marbles scattered all the way down. and her breath is foul. not like D at all.

im gonna call the drs at 8 to try to get in.. theyre always full but i speak to the nurses so i can sometimes get an appt.

sorry lana & michaela we wont be there this morning..

i really hope A doesnt have these probs with her tonsils when she gets older..

i think D is asleep on me.. she was up so much last night..

carrie nope we got our car loan before i knew about a debt he had that hasnt paid(from when before we got together)... so i put my name down on it.. that mustve been how he got the SS, we've tried getting a loan to cover all debts but we have no chance.. hmm i have no idea hey.. who did you try to get the loan through? GE is probably last resort but very high interest.. on a $21000 loan we'll be paying back over 40:eek: which is exactly why im getting dp to sell the car.

what about if you got a cheaper car? would your parents or your dps parents get one for you? it sux hey..
or maybe go for a newer car? sometimes the age puts banks off coz if you default in payment they need security.. newer car is worth more for longer iykwim..
i really hope you get it sorted soon. must be frustrating to not even be able to open a door from the outside!! also with the "lack of assets" could you lie and say you have more? lol

LOOK LOOK (http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff84/Kellie_77/?action=view&current=Newhighchairmoremcns001.jpg)I finally got a high chair!!!
It's from kmart, it cost $129 on special this week...It's very cute pattern and I think its unisex as I thought you just never know what coming next??? (if I have another that is) I did look at the Ikea one, cheap yes but I really need wheels on our tiles...

Also another fluffy mail delivery (http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff84/Kellie_77/?action=view&current=Newhighchairmoremcns004.jpg):smiliedance: this one's from bubblebubs. The little bottle is a naturally made concentrate that you mix with water into that pump bottle and then pump it onto your cloth wipes for a bum change...now I can stop buying the shop bought wipes :D now that's a big waste of money!!

Defaipe Oh poor D, must be awful for her. Hope the doc sorted it all out. She gotta love icecram & jelly :D oh and time I see your name I think of fraipe (sp) like the drink you can get at the coffee club hehe

Michaela Your bubblebubs leaks you say, is it from the fit or from the make or shape??? just curious thats all especially now that I have 4 :smiliedance: And with the catalogue was that Harper with the teething toy???

Lana Glad to hear you and Michaela (and the bubs of course) had fun today. It must be nice to have faces and personalities to put to a name. I'm looking foward to meeting some of the Qld girls soon. yey!!!

Kel yep thats him with the teether, he's also in the bubbles grobag. in the printed catalogue, he is on the front cover!!! very proud mumma.
i don't know what it is with the BB. everyone raved about them and i wanted it so bad. it seems to fit him really well but i tried it again today, same thing!:crying:
i wouldnt worry, sooo many other people love them and have no leaks. its just us boo hooo. i think i will have to face facts and do a swap for something i can use more :(
i saw your high-chair at k-mart today, it looks great. i like how the top tray comes off and the edges of it curve, so gunk doesnt get in there. mine is the same style.

wow you girls should see GRIFFIN crawling! i put H on his belly next to him but he just whinged... Griff looks like such a big boy now, Lana! and Harper loved his mandarin in the mesh thing  thanks!

Sarah those dresses look really pretty. can you get your boobs out? hahah! but seriously, i looked at some dresses today and i thought they would be too hard to feed in. so i bought two tops instead :D

AND I GOT HEAPS OF CLOTHES FOR HARPS! (all size 0 for summer, he's not quite into them yet, skinny bub) - kmart had 25% off bonds & other kids clothes so i got cargo shorts and a sleeveless hoodie (green/white stripes, very cute), sleepsuits x2 and some lightweight tracky daks all for $39 BARGAIN.
THEN i got him this bodysuit with a lion on it from target coz we love lions.
THEN i got home and my order from pumpkin patch sale website was here!! for $100 i got 5xtops, 2xpants and shorts. half of them are size 1 coz they're winter. he will be trendy at half the price  i do love PP but full price very exy!

OH and for the MCN MUMS, Harper was in a greenkids from 9ish to Lana's, then shopping for ages. he didnt whinge and there was no leaking even when i took it off at 1pm. 5 hours! thats with two inserts

well enough chatter from me, i got on the laptop to pay bills and got all distracted lol. bye!

Hey girls!

Went to MG lunch today, took fore bloody ever for our orders as was a bit busy. It's a cafe/nursery with some animals - birds, a piglet and guinea pigs and a rainforest walk.

I thought I'd continue being naughty & got a caramel magnum ego to get the upgrade to Gold Class as it's our anniversary Sunday & I wanted to go to GC Sat night but I didn't get a promo one!!! ARGHH!!!

Kellie - I was on before but your pics crashed my computer. So unfortunately I didn't get to see them. I received fluffy mail today too - a lilac GreenKids nappy plus the insert/booster pack.

They are sooo soft!

I received another fluffy mail from LT later in the arvo too! xo

I am expecting my Fuschia Berry Plush tomorrow as she forgot about the order then said she'd send express at her expense :)

Unfortunately Baby Beehinds are still waiting on a main shipment & it's gonna be another 3 weeks!! Ah well I have enough to get me through. I will take a photo of my stash so far & add to my photobucket!

Got some stuff for E from Target today -

- a My Mum Rocks tee
- 3 piece swimmers - bottoms, boardies & top (she doesn't like her rashy as neck a bit tight & hard to pull off when wet)
- a zip up pink rash shirt (which also came with bottoms but don't matter as they were all on sale!)
- a cute Romper
- a pretty floral summer dress with a head band

Ok I gtg. Crepes for dinner. Bad day today - shakes only tomorrow!

Ciao for Now!

Sarah & Michaela - I always catch myself thinking about how i wish i was still breastfeeding... There are perks to both though. I really miss that something special that only Griff and I had.

Michaela - LOL thanks for the ego boost re Griffy! Hehehe i have enough trouble fitting through the doors as it is! Sounds like you got some bargains at the shops.

Kel - Ooh the new fluffy mail looks super cool and cute!

Carrie - Glad you had a good time at MG today. Its ok to be naughty sometimes you know! If you dont allow yourself to be then that is when you binge so stop feeling guilty about a few self indulgences.

Im taking my little SIL (she is only 11) to see Hairspray when i get back from my trip. I want to see it but Sam doesnt and then i heard Annie saying she wanted to so i said i would take her.

We forgot to take pics again today Michaela! We should have taken one of Griff crawling and Harper sitting next to him!

Carrie-sucky about the loan! I found Commonwealth easiest to get loans from in the past. Ella sounds so cute with her accidental rolling! We had an issue with that too for a while, LOL, had to keep tipping him back over
No pic of Kes's new pants yet, I just looked at all the photos I took of him today and none of them show his legs, I'll have to take some next time he is wearing them.

Mel-I hope Ellery is having less trouble with her teeth today, that sounds nasty! Amazing that you've already got the hot days, I wore a coat today! I am eager to try knit Kes a singlet in cotton, but have about a gazillion other things to do first so I doubt I will :o
I hear you on being tired of walking!!! It seems that the only time I get a bit of peace (ie. not having to bounce him up and down on my lap for hours on end, hehe) is by taking a walk, but it gets a bit much after the 3rd walk for the day, LOL
Glad to hear your cousin's op helped the pain, it sounds hideous, poor thing!

Defaipe- good job on the healthy food!!! Hard for a while, but definitely worth it in the long run. For something to snack on, I've had grated carrot muffins before, you can make them with Extra Virgin olive oil (instead of butter) and they're tasty and filling, I don't have a recipe but you could probably Google it.
D sounds like she is really copping it tough, that is so horrible. How did you go getting an appointment?
Oh, and M's pink mitt sounds adorable!!!

Lana-I am so excited to go to the zoo! I haven't been to Melb zoo for years. Amity will have a ball I'm sure!
I hope Griff continues to sleep through for you so you can have all your energy for your holiday! Can't believe he is fully crawling now, what a super star!

Kel-it's so cool watching them start to become their own little person isn't it! Interesting each week at MG to see all the different babies being so individual
Your MCN stash is coming along beautifully, I just love the photos! Handsome devil you have there ;)
Congratulations on his talking too, what a champ!

Michaela-poor H, how is he today? Congrats on the catalogue, mine hasn't arrived yet and now I'm so impatient! It's a bit dopey but I feel a bit of reflected pride that a March Piglet has made the cover! :D

S-O's routine sounds lovely, I'd love someone to give me a massage when I get tired and grumpy, LOL
That site looked great, I am not the right shape for catalogue ordering, hehe, it's amazing just how bizarre I can look in some clothes! The size I am now though not much looks good, so looking forward to losing a bit of weight so I can do a bit of shopping.
As for breastfeeding, I'm loving it! Tonight on the way home I jumped on the train and he was a little cold and tired, it was great to just give him a quick feed so he could stay happy (and continue jumping up and down on me! LOL). Sometimes it seems weird that he is being sustained by nothing but milk, not weird in a bad way, just surreal! I'll happily continue for a long while yet, probably let him self-wean. I think I'd really like to experience tandem feeding (if we have another kid in time! hehe)

LT-sounds like you can do with a bit of a break from houseguests! Now, on to sewing up a storm so you can come back on here and chat, ROFL
Hey, I saw the thread about how great KKs are, pretty fantastic!

I just realised how freaking long that post is, so I'll post it, then get on to a 'me' post...

Poor Kes was really sad this evening, inconsolable for a bit. Very hot, and bumpy top gum on the right (a big smooth bulge, not pointy) so I wonder if it could be that, or something else?

We had a nice day today, but Kes wanted out of the pram very early on, I think it's back to slinging my monkey! A little frustrating as I like the convenience of the pram for carrying stuff (don't want my wallet stolen from the back of my backpack!), but not much point pushing around an empty pram all day!

Sore throat tonight, and blocked nose... I'll be so p!ssed off if I am getting sick

methinks someone else needs an ergo :D

i bought this gorgeous mini nappy bag to go with my ergo, its called the isoki petite traveller and it holds a nappy, wipes, etc dummy, bottle (if needed) and has some zip up bits for money and cards. then it can clip onto a pram or ergo or whatever. i got it from eco bambino, i've bought a few things from there - Miranda is lovely! im an idiot.. i got annoyed at this thread knocking different spellings for names.. so what do i go and do.. write A's name down! not that its a problem i guess but it was something i wasnt gonna do. anyway i had to coz the name that came up a few times was allyveah so i had to correct their spelling if they were going to knock me. hmm maybe i should just delete my post.

sorry i forgot to say yep i got D into the drs at 12, she's on antibiotics.. her temp is what worries me.. it was 38.6 at the drs and she had had nurofen an hour earlier.. it shouldnt have been so high. she's a little trooper tho.. still eating and drinking.

sarah im still breastfeeding, A wont have bottles, not that im surprised.. i plan on weaning her by 12months.. its kinda my cut off haha. M was 9months & D was 11months.. both self weaned tho so i'll see how we go. if she took a bottle here and there i might feel different i guess or even if she fed 3hourly but she wont lol. once she's on food.. and having a sippy cup i might carry on a night time feed after 12months but not demand

Kel i love Noah's highchair! very cute. A's has a material insert so that high chair is very much for show lol. as soon as she's sitting up properly(and eating properly) i'll put her in the ikea one that i had for D.

:laughing:lana and michaela.. i can imagine griffy crawling while harper is sitting then A would just have been laying on the floor.. not rolling ofcourse.. just laying there haha. i really wanna catch up! oh well atleast next time lana will have a heap of piccies to show us :D

i've finally worked out what to buy my kris kringle bubba! this little one was SO easy to think of things for but i wanted to make sure it was a good pressie while in the limit.. **i hate limits lol**

oh and perthies.. the invites are in the mail, so if you dont get them tomorrow it will be monday!!

Easy day today. Not much planned, just the usual tidy up and I going to wash the doggy today. Fun not, she malts everywhere after her wash and brush and I end up covered in hair.....also waiting for more fluffy mail :smiliedance:

Michaela I had a look at that bag the other day but I was curious to know the exact size???? Do you think it's worth $40? Must say it is pretty though, I like the one under it on the site toooo but gosh $189 is just way to much....

Morning all

Hope we had a restful night. Ellery took a little while to settle - but thankfully slept through until about 5am - then tossed and turned until 6am... so, pretty good. Her teeth are still sore, but hoping she doesn't have a horror day.

We went and looked at 2 other houses yesterday afternoon - interested in one of them and trying to arrange another look for today.

It is quite warm out today - been for a walk already, and the sun is blaring down. Great gold coast weather though - so shouldn't complain.

Kellie - hope you got the cleaning done. I hate the 'cleaning' day - i seem to spread it out during the week.. ha ha.. always have good intentions - but just never seems to happen.

got a viewing at 10.30am... cya

Very very windy here, kind of want to take a walk but don't know if I want to face the weather, I also did the stupid thing of sending DH off to work with all the cards and cash, so can't even do the shopping

Morning Mummies!

Oh no, our network at work crashed on Wednesday so couldn't get on to post and was at home yesterday with Madi, so I have just caught up and happy I am back online.

Sarah, the dresses look gorgeous, I love the first black one, very sexy! I wouldn't wear that playsuit, that's a crack up, I am sure the boys would love it.

Kel, I love your highchair, does it come in any other colours? Is the sale still on? I want one so I will have to take DH to Kmart this weekend.

BG, I hope you are feeling ok darl, nothing worst then getting sick, especially with a bub 'cause we can't 'rest' anymore. I hope it goes away soon for you!

Mel, I love your kitchen and backyard pics! WOW! You must of sold your house for a nice price. Are you guys looking at the North end still? We'll have to meet up so the girls can have a play and hang out.

Def, poor bubba, I hope she is feeling better soon. That is such a high temp, did they say why it hasn't come down after having Nurofen? I hope she is feeling better soon. Have fun with the twins on the weekend, you will have your hands full. I would delete the post too, I don't understand how ppl can be so mean and worry about the small things in life. I love the way you spelt all your girls names.

Carrie, you are a shopaholic! I will have to join you one day for a good shop. I got your invite and I am free that day so I will pm you back.

LL, you are not a bad mummy at all for swearing. I am sure we will all do it at some stage but not mean it. Poor H with his teeth, I am dreading that with Madi, she is sticking everything in her mouth but no teeth yet. Last night she broke out in a sweat and was crying so we put it down to her teeth. I heard from my SIL that you can buy these numbing pills from the chemist that dissolve straight away when they come in contact with salivar (sp?) safe for bubs, and they help alot with teething. Not sure what's in them but a few mums have used them and they have helped.

Madi rolls all the time now too, but keeps banging her head in her cot. Do you think it's safe to put in a cot bumper? I have one of those airwraps but it's not protective enough. She has just figured out how to do a continuous roll, back to tummy and then back again. It's so amazing to watch, she looks up at us and smiles and waits for our reactions.

I am going out for my first girls night tonight, so DH will be picking Madi up from my mums house when he finishes work. I hope it goes well and she goes to bed for him, worried sick about it, weird 'cause she goes to Kindy and mum's house all week, but never been with her daddy alone before.....

kel the boys will be 3 in december.. VERY full on. but hey most kids are hehe. im going to try to come up with some sort of craft thing to do as well.. we wont be painting tho.. they'd do my walls

sorry i have been reading but dont have the time to reply!! oops! i will be back on later tho.. A's asleep so im going to get ready and hopefully make it to the shops today.. D's perked up a little but i know she'll crash soon.. panadol is only giving her a 2hour break from the high temp. she should have a better night tonight tho coz she vomited in her cot last night then stayed up till after 11pm on the lounge with me.. then she was on and off for a bit.
i HATE cleaning spew out of cots... yuk!!

Hey girls!

Was just posting & lost it! Aaagh!

E had swimming this morning & after her lunch & bottle went to sleep & that was an hour or so ago! Yay! DH finished early too & I gtg pick him up & do groceries. So I am just popping in quickly while E is still asleep.

Defaipe - Poor D, how is she now? Is the nurofen working now? Don't worry about this thread with the names. I haven't seen it but who cares, we all love A's name! It is so pretty :)

I wanna know who everyone's KK is! Lol. I know what I want to get mine but it may be way out of the price range ... remind me again what that is?

Lana - I didn't realise you were holidaying alone. I thought you, Sam and the kidlets were going. It means you can spend more on yourself though! Hehe.

Kel - I did a big clean today too but I do it every 2-3 days. Lol. My name is Carrie & I'm a cleanaholic (and a nappy-aholic!). But I only mop once a week, and vacuum every day.

Did you get your fluffy mail? I got my Fuschia Berry Plush today. It's waiting to go in the wash. What did you order? This is seriously the LAST fluffy mail for a looong time. I want a car lol. And need to pay all these bills & save sime money up. I have enough to get me through until I get my beehinds and when I have those I will have PLENTY!

I have to say I will miss getting parcels ... it makes me feel loved ROFL.

Speaking of nappies (as usual!) Ella wore a LT original swimming today. It looked so cute but I forgot to take a photo! I will take one next week for ya Hollie.

Nic - I hope you have fun tonight - I am very jealous! It'll be good to see you in a couple of weeks - Sharon is coming and probably Kellie too. I haven't seen Madi since May!

Gin - How are you feeling today?

Um ... I can't really remember anything else!

I should go as I have to hang washing, pack nappy bag, get changed ... take some rubbish down before Dave comes home & sees the fluffy mail packaging hehe.

Have a good afternoon everyone ;)

Hi girls

Long time no write but I have been soooo busy. I am starting my own Inky Feet business in Jan so its taking up a lot of my time at the moment. Looks like I will have training in Nov at this stage. Its so exciting and I cant wait.

I have not read posts but I hope all is well with you and your bubs.

Jacey is going great, been sleeping through for 3 weeks now (6.30pm to 5.45am). I have stopped wrapping too (after I found her wrap tight over he face which was scary!!). She is up on all fours rocking and getting about but not crawling yet. She has started making sounds and during dinner it sounds like she says yum. So cute.

OK well take care and I'll drop in at times to see whats happening.

:-) (sorry did quick reply so no icons)

Well I finally sitting down for the day!!!
I love that feeling when I've just cleaned the house and everything looks lovely....not for long though hehe
I managed to get it all done and make pancakes for lunch aswell, I was out of bread so we had pancakes for lunch instead. Elijah just loves them, he asks me most morning if he can have pancakes.lol

Gin You asked how I clean with the kiddies around, well I have to thank my babysitter Mr TV for entertaining Elijah for a little while. Elijah likes to help aswell which sometimes can be a pain in the butt as for Noah he just went off to sleep when I started (9am) and when he woke up he had some time in his high chair then lunch, some tummy time/roly time in his cot cause I can't put him on the his playmat while i'm cleaning the floors...I make up for their neglect hehe with some nice cuddles this afternoon as for Elijah I made him his pancakes. Cuddles don't work aswell as they used to with him. How's Kes now, has he perked up a bit?

Carrie yay for your fluffy mail!!!
How long have you been waiting for your baby beehinds??? I put an order in the other day for the deluxe trial pack, she took my order than emailed me back saying they were out of the bamboo fitteds, bugger. I cancelled my order, I will try again later unless I find something better somewhere?!
The latest delivery I got was yesterday, my bubblebubs woohoo, they are in the wash right now... Btw I will be at your UCW party!!! :D

Taryn Hello, it's been a while. Glad things are going well, how exciting your own business that will definetly keep u busy!

Nic Hello there, hows your week at work been? Regarding the high chair, it only comes in the one colour...it's on sale til next Thursday. If you miss out i'm sure you could get a raincheck. oh & have fun tonight, you deserve it. I'm sure Madi will be fine with your DH.

Mel Remind me again why you had to move!?!LOL How did the veiwing go??? Is that the one your having a second look at? You should take a photo for us sticky beaks :D

Defaipe I feel for you having to clean :barf: out of the cot, gross!! How's D now?

Ok im back!! Sorry to just introduce myself and then run off!!! I have been trying to find some cloth nappies and its driving me insane!!:hair:LOL!
I don't want to spend the money and i end up not liking it iykwim? SO i have narrowed down the list to this:

The bumgenius pocket nappy one size.
The baby beehinds bamboo one size
ani i really like the swaddlebees hook and loop ones you know the ones with the bubble pictures on them? They are so cute but i am worried that he will grow out of them. He is about 8.5kgs so im thinking if i should get the medium or the large!!!

So im only new at this thread so i will just try and join in when i can.

Kel2boys- Foster was great for jaxons bday it was so nice down there and the weather was perfect! I really like it down there and i love the new stocklands cause they have aldis in there and there baby room is the best one i have ever seen! Don't know how long that will last!

I noticed that you were talking about the name thread? I had a look at it today and they deleted most of my post out. I noticed heaps of others were edited to. I spell jaxons name different to the usual and i love it:yes:.

Today was supposed to be my cleaning day but i couldn't be bothered! Jaxon's friend is sleeping tomorrow night so i don't see the point in cleaning when they are just going to mess it up anyways!!!

I got a new washing machine yesterday, well it was 2nd hand but it was only 8mths old! Its a LG front loader and i got it for $350 so i was happy with that! The only thing is i can't work out how to use the damn thing!!! I also notice that if you forget to put something in you can't open it while its running ! I done a full load today and it took 2 1/2 hrs to do . I think i need to read the manual a bit more! Anyways just thought i'd pop in and say g'day:wave: and i going to hunt down some more nappies!!

PS. Mel2boys you can chat alot

Yum Kel, pancakes sounds great! They would keep me quiet for a while too! hehe. I am going to get the highchair too, I will go shopping tomorrow and have a look. It looks really nice! YAY! We get to meet up at Carrie's house, it's exciting. The only mum and bub I have meet is Carrie and Ella, I have found it hard meeting other mums, I just feel like I don't fit in so it will be great to meet some new friends.

Jaxcoop, I have seen the LG frontloader, it's very nice indeed! 2 & 1/2 hours is a long wash, I am like that, never read the manual and find out the hard way. I hope Jaxon has a good time with his sleepover.

Tazzy, that's great about the business, you sure will be busy now. I hope it all goes really well for you! That's so good she is sleeping through too! How cute making little sounds, that's adorable.

OMG! I saw a pregnant lady on my lunch break and I so wished it was me. I miss my pregnant belly, does anyone else? I know it's hard work being a mum but oh I wish I was pregnant again! LOL  On a more serious note, it's nearly party time! I have already called home like 5 times to check up on things! I am shocking!

Helloooo

Should Ella be talking too? All she does is blow rasberries holding her feet in the air & squealing haha. And that is only as of this week. It's funny cos every nappy change when she has a bare bum she pulls her feet to her mouth & blows rasberries LOL.

Defaipe - How is D?

Nic - I bet you are p!$$ed already ROFL. As for meeting new friends there will be heaps of bubs there as Kellie is coming, Sharon plus most of the MG mums & bubs, plus Mummy to Mason & Mason (duh), SIL's (both) but doubt they'll bring Lily & Ryan (niece & nephew). Then my mum and some others. My house is gonna be so squished LOL.

Kellie - I took pics of my MCN stash - I miscounted ... I thought I had 14 but I have 17 LOL. Mummy to Mason is gonna put them on photobucket in the next few days. I could email them otherwise.

As for Baby Beehinds I ordered through the consultant so coming direct from head office. They are waiting on a main shipment. Which one is the deluxe trial pack? Is that the $102.50 one?

Jaxcoop - Out of all those MCN's I have Baby Beehinds & Bumgenius and they are both my fave. I would recommend getting a few different ones to see what you like. Oh & I luv my berry plush's! And my sandmans ... and my LT original swimming nappy! They are all good.

Taryn - How exciting about Inky Feet! Is that the one where you do the tiles? J seems like she is doing so well.

High chairs - Mine is still on lay-buy but it was $215 reduced to $153 in target toy sale in July. I have $143 to pay lol. I need it though. It is a mother's choice one, reclines, high/low chair, removable tray plus like a tray that fits in the top with different holders or something. I don't know how to explain so I'll see if I can find a pic.

Good night!

really?! i go on a nappy forum and they all think the name is cool as, and so do i!!

i just went to a tupperware party. i wanted to have one so my friend could get her reward but Al said no. grump. i was good and only spent $48. we really do need to save for our trip, less than 3 months to go! :smiliedance:

Carrie i wouldnt worry about the "talking". Harps saying 'dad' doesnt actually have meaning, its just a sound. he makes a sound like Har-paaa too lol. he is same as Ella with the feet lately, obsessed!
your mcn stash is getting nice and big! how many baby beehinds on order?
LAKSAValentine MCNs hehehehe
and i know what you mean about the secret santa, i kept finding things that were $23 or $25 but i have managed to find something similar that is under the $20... i think my recipient will really like it! i hope so.

Sara if you want any info on mcns, please pm me. i know its all a bit much at first! but soon you will be an addict too  (and i also highly recommend bumgenius)

Taryn thats great that your inky feet business is going ahead! i love mine and going to do one every mothers day. i think your business will be a HUGE SUCCESS!

Defaipe that name thread was pretty harsh. i don't know why people care? anyway, not worth thinking about...
i am so excited about the girls party! i have seen the CUTEST costumes online but they look too hot for november.

Gin hope you're feeling better. i had a sore throat etc last time Al was away and it was really hard dealing with Harper when i just wanted to sleep. i put a bunch of toys in my bed and just lay there with him until he got fed up.

Defaipe - We got our invite!! We will be there for sure!! I have had Amity's outfit here for weeks now! I just have to find something 'magical' for Griffy lol.

Taryn - Good to see you again hun!

I cant believe people would not buy Hollie's mcns because of the name! Havent they ever heard the saying "Dont judge a book by its cover'? or in this case, name. Oh well its their loss, they are great nappies that work great AND look fab

Morning all
Up super early today - woke with a headache, slept funny as my neck is really sore. Got the heat pack on it at the moment. Also, Ellery had kicked all the blankets off and was quite cool - so snuggled her up and thankfully she is back to sleep.

OK - the house.......
Went to the vewing - like it lots. Put in an offer and they came back to us with a counter offer (as always happens) but it was higher than we expected. Eventually the sellers said that they would work out their figures overnight and come back to us... So, i am feeling comfy about the whole thing... We intend on going and looking at some more open houses - we have plenty of time now that we don't have to do things around this place. (that's a change after 5 years of doing something every weekend)....

Why are we selling?
Well, it is a lifestyle thing. DP works up at Coomera and it is a 40 min drive there from here. Also, not alot of kiddy stuff around here. Being right in the 'hub' of the g.coast - it is great for the party life, but we're not into that. We love our house and its views etc. but good time to captialise on the market. We did do quite well with the sale - but in saying that, we've slogged it hard for 5 years and are tired of continually working on the house. DP has worked himself into the ground - now time to enjoy Ellery and family life.

Nic - yep - we're looking at Coomera Waters. Like the area and the facilities it offers.. So, we will be close with you at Upper Coomera.... Once settled - will be sure to organise a meetup.
I see pregnant ladies too - and although i have pics, i kinda forget what it was like. I was lucky and kept relatively well - and i enjoyed being pregnant with the big belly too!

We were quite worn out last night - went and talked to the bank yesterday to discuss paying out of loans etc.. so that they're prepared. That was relatively easy (surprise) Helps that DP worked at ANZ about 7 years ago, still knows alot of people there and also, his ability with figures - the wool can't be pulled over his eyes easily...

Carrie - E doesn't say anything audible either. I was having an anxious moment myself yesterday - but she is doing fine... She has super quiet moments too (which is nice at times) and then she'll babble on for ages also. She too is pulling her legs up whilst nappy change - she is in love with her feet (very cute). not so cute when she pulls them up, i'm not quick enough, and her foot goes into her poo. Now, that's just plain gross....:barf:

jaxcoop - yeah on the new 'ish' washer. Front end loaders generally take longer - but 2.5 hours is excessive. I don't like reading manuals either - but you may have to - just make sure you're using the most economical cycle etc. When my washer karks it i want to get a front loader too....

Tazzystone - i am trying to wrap Ellery as much, sometimes it works others it doesn't. To make sure she doesn't roll - I have the wedges that keep her on her back, or she'd be all over the cot too. I am hoping that she is use to being unwrapped before summer really hits - it got t0 30 here yesterday, so already here i think.

Morning girlies!!

Love my Frog today.
i wasn't feeling great this morning so he did toadlets morning feed.
Cleaned the bathroom (which he does every week), put nappies in the wash, changed a pooey nappy and vacuumed.

Sarah, have you found a flat yet?

Good luck with the offer Mel.
Not sure we'll buy for a long time. Might buy in Tasmania in a few years as it is the only place that wont be too hot to live in in 20 years time.

Trying to get Frog to look for a job in Melbourne so we can get a nice big house to rent for thje same rent we pay here.

I took toadlet climbing the other day and he hopped around in his JJ for about 40 minutes laughing his head off.
he really is a grinning idiot.

I took him for a swim yesterday and met a nice 8 month baby girl. I held her a while and her mummy held toadlet for about 10 minutes. She was probably about 7kg. When i got my toadlet back it finally hit me that I have an enormous fat toadlet!! He was so much heavier even in the water!.

Busy weekend doing you know what.
All I can say is atleast they are talking about it!!

Trying to convince Frog that he wants a Baby Bzzz.

oh and hollie the offer still stands to swap men! you can train mine up then i'll have him back.. maybe..

D is much better today but still has a high temp and swollen glands, when i got her out of her got i said how are ya feeling and put my hand on her forehead.. she said 'no medicine mummy' hehe. so cute. she hates taking medicine..

oh perthies just so yous know i didnt end up making the girls party dress up.. but they can still dress up :D my girls will be, and i can imagine a few others in fairy dresses and what not!

im finding it hard to convince dp to go cloth..
even tho he doesnt change nappies its more so the money.. i guess it'd be different if A was my 1st bub and i knew for sure i'd be having more but i dont.. im gonna start anyway tho lol.. ive never been one to listen so i guess why start now?! at the moment im spending $30+ a week on nappies.. and its only come down coz D is mainly in knickers.. so thats a cloth nappy a week..

ok gotta go.. will be back on later..

Super quick- thanks all for thinking of me, I had a real sorry-for-myself day yesterday, LOL, with Kes crying and upset and me feeling rubbish I was not much good to anyone! Woke up feeling a bit blocked up and stuff but nothing like yesterday, Kes is pretty happy too so that's awesome! His little nose is running like a tap, but at least it's not blocked up.

Mel-I hope your neck pain is better soon, it sounds very uncomfortable!

Def-it would be great if you could convince your DP to switch over, there are some very cute nappies out there!

Carrie-I was wondering when my little guy will come close to speaking too, or crawling... hehe, nowhere near it from what I can see!

Hollie-it would be great fun having you local, have you heard about the new glass fronted climbing wall in the city? I think it used to be a car showroom, my bro says it looks awesome!

Kes seems to have figured out the velcro fastenings on his nappies... oh oh, I put him back in a flat, and I'm hoping that the next time I put him in one with velcro he has forgotten how!

DH desperate to pass the boy back, LOL, so I am gonna quickly run and hide ;)

Why do you think I want to go to Melbourne!!

I actually didn't know it had a glass front , but I think it's now the biggest climbing gym in australia.

Apartments above it too. How cool would that be! Stick toadlet in the jolly jumper "back in an hour Monty-Toad" and go for a climb :)

Hey girls!

Have been reading over the days but no time to post. You girls are so chatty!

Ok, updates here - brought Leah an ergo for our NZ trip so I dont have to take a pram and can wear her on the back. LOVE it. Cant wait to use it more. Also got her an early Xmas pressie - a rainforest jumperoo or bounceroo or what ever they are called - she goes NUTS! Think shes going to give herself whiplash. Its fantastic. Her first toy thats all her very own and not a hand-me-down.

Had friends over for lunch today and have 2 clients due today but looks like neither are going to come on their due date of course.

Nothing much else going on - been in my garden heaps and its looking pretty good now.

Gin, sorry to hear you weren't feeling so flash yesterday or that Kes wasn't either.

Def, I tried MCN with Sam and then with Leah but DH just wont committ to it and complains bitterly so was put in the too hard basket. Sorry to hear you have sick babies too.

LT, I would love to move to melbourne. Good luck with that one. Congrats on getting the nappies out there too.

Sarah, are you moving? Hope you are well.

Leah is awake, DH is cooking and Sam wants a book read so need to dash.

Have a great night

hi lovely march mummies

well, last night was officially the worst night ever! Harps just cried and cried. i really wanted Al to be home, poor guy got a phonecall at 4am with wife AND son bawling :crying:
i don't know how single mums do it!!

he has now been asleep since about 3, he stirred so i stuck a boob in lol. he didnt have a feed from 7.30am til 1pm! so he's had one just now and still sleeping, hope he wakes up happy. i tried to have a nap with him but next door having a footy party and all drunk and noisy...

i really hope he is ok tonight, i really struggled last night. i went to the chemist and got brauers teething stuff and also baby nurofen to try instead of paracetamol. i hate drugging him up but he was in such pain from his cries. my poor little monkey. and poor mummy!

BUT after our horrible night, we had a pretty good day, had lunch at a park with two mums from the 'parents with partners working away' thread. nice to chat with other mums in the same situation.

Anna nice to see ya! those jumperoo things look really cool. lucky Leah. and arent ergos just the best? i havent done the back carry out and about but use the front all the time. tried out the hip carry the other day, very comfy!

defaipe the trial packs and bulk packs of MCNs work out pretty cheap. tell Chris when he starts doing nappies, he can have a say!! also tell him there is a great market for 2nd hand mcns so you can get plenty $$ back if you don't have another bub. you can't sell used disposables!! lol...

 just thought i'd pop in!

How is everyone! I have been doing nothing all day!!LOL! I really should have been cleaning! Jaxon has his friend over tonight so its going to be a late one i think!

Cooper has been cruising all over the lounge room floor! He's not quite crawling yet but he seems to get where he wants to. I think he will be crawling at the end of the week! Look out!!!

Bambaloo- you said that ella is blowing rasberrys? Cooper does that al day long! He does it just when you about to put the spoon to his mouth and then the food goes everywhere! And i have the berry plush mcn's on my list!

libary-laska- Thanks for the offer of helping me with the mcn's! You may regret that!! I am getting there, im starting to know what there all about! This is what i think im going to order-
I asked ddh if i could make my own trial pack this is what i have in mind- The bumgenius pocket osfa (it has a free microfibre insert), A berry plush AIO and a BBH magic all. Does that sound ok? Or should i get something else?

I really like the bubblebubs AIO minks but they are all sold out:banghead:
I hope bubs doesn't cry again all night for you. I went through this a couple of weeks ago!

melannh- I read the manual for the washing machine and it makes no sense at all! But it did say that if its not level and can take an extra 45mins, so i think that was the problem. My dad is bringing over a spirit leveller tomorrow

annsam- Cooper has a jumperoo and he loves it so much! It would have to be the best thing i have ever brought! He jumps all day long, he gets it going that fast that the whole thing starts shaking! Its really funny!

Is anyone else's bubs crawling yet?

Ok im off to download some music so i can get in the groove tomorrow while im cleaning:D

Michaela - :hugs: I really hope that you both have a better night tonight. Hopefully he has worn himself out so much that he has to sleep all night! Thanks for the well wishes! Im so excited (about the trip, not about having to get up at 4.00am tomorrow morning!)

Gin - Glad to hear you are feeling better?? So are we meeting up Monday arvo or did you want to make it Tuesday morning?? What ever is good for you. I will be in town shopping both days anyway :D

Sydney Gals - Ok, Lindt cafe, on the 7th.... who is with me!? (oh, and where is it exactly!?) Can you guys PM me with what you want to do and also your mobile numbers as i will only be on here tonight and then nothing until im actually there!

A likes to wake up when dp leaves for work.. 5.15am.. only coz its getting lighter now.. she's not so content gooing till 6.30 anymore.. cheeky little thing.. i just cant get up at early..

oh guess what!! A was on her tummy earlier and she kept trying to get up on her knees.. she couldnt do it but she was pushing herself backwards.. it was so funny. and she's trying really hard to roll over. so much for my fat little chicken who doesnt do anything! i have a feeling she'll be all gogogo soon.

i ended up having the twins from 10.30 till 6.30, they're such good little boys. one of them really pushes the boundaries, i think coz he has always had his twin with him he has an audience iykwim. but still they're good for me hehe. i managed to get hand & foot prints of all the kids and made them into reindeer then they put stickers on them...

ok gtg A is awake.. again!!

defaipe - THANKYOU for the beautiful invite - i cant wait to meet you all - i would REALLY love to come - (oh and xander too!), will let you know shortly, i have a horrible feeling we have a wedding that weekend....

Poor harps - i hope your night goes ok LL, it can be really hard on your own cant it, i agree - i take my hat off to single mums, they deserve medals.
my dh keeps bl00dy going away, it's driving me insane. but i guess someone has to work full time, ha ha i cant complain i get to mostly be at home with little treasure boy.

alexander has 1 and a half teeth, he has gone pretty well, not much pain i dont think.

gotta go eat, had a long day at work today, have been working mondays too, thankfully this monday is a public hol so i get to sleep in :) (actually we are painting our new room, the reno is nearly finished!).

Well, big day yesterday for the family - we bought another house. It was the one i rushed out to look at again the other day... DP and I are really pleased with it. It was a long, hot day yesterday - but it is done. have to wait for bldg and pest inspection - and as long as our sale goes smoothly (which it is) then no problems. We could be in by xmas, which would be great.
Had a few celebrtory wines last night - but I am feeling quite well.... YEEHA

Michaela - hope Harper had a better night. Those ear infections sound nasty. Thankfully, E hasn't had one of those - but alot of bubba's seem to get them with teeth.. Hope you were able to catch on some sleep yourself.

Defaipe - glad the twins were good for you and you got through the day fine.....
Ellery sounds a bit like Iris - chubby, lazy bubby...Just too huggable though... E is trying to get her knees up - but tires of that idea rather quickly.

Lana - have a great trip, and hope you all have a wow of a time meeting up... I am sure we others will hear all about it.

FT - great to hear that all is well. It will be nice for you to get the room painted. having done reno's myself - it always feel complete once the paint is on.

Well, Ellery is in her cot chatting to herself... She seems to wake with the sun also - around 5.30am, but I don't ever get her up until 6am or after. Defaipe - I guess i cope better as I am a morning person... Just tell yourself that you LOVE the mornings and it may get easier? (or maybe not... just trying to give moral support... ha ha)

mel what time does ellery go to bed at night? i just find that A has no routine at all.. day time i dont care so much coz she'll nap whenever but the older ones were like this too so i know she'll work herself out eventually haha. i just think 8pm or later till 5am isnt enough sleep. i need a break.. lately i've been exhausted at night and going to bed at 9 so if A is still awake on and off im not getting any break from the girls.(that sounds horrible lol)
CONGRATULATIONS on your new house!! i'd love to buy but will settle or renting.. dp doesnt want to buy a place.. he's in "been there done that" mode.

hi firsttime :wave:good to see you back on.. lets hope the chick doesnt see you tho!! maybe change your av photo too.. or even your name? might be a good idea.

michaela how cute if harper is Mr March
poor little harps with the ear infection.. is he better now??

i hope you're enjoying your flight lana!

D is much better but it still hurts for her to eat. not that it stops her! oh and she was in knickers all day yesterday with no accidents!! and then i forgot to put her in a nappy last night oops!(coz she fell asleep on the lounge at 6.30) but she didnt wee in her cot!! i put a nappy on her at 5am coz she was calling out then took her back to my bed.

hollie with the nappy that you sent me can that be used for night time? i wanna test it out but not sure what to put inside it?? so far its been used for swimming lessons only..

M has decided theres about 10kids at kindy she wants to invite lol including one of the teachers. i might just invite them all, they wont all show up anyway.. this party is growing by the minute! should be good tho! just gotta organize food... and their cakes!

im on the verge of sending dp to his mums.. he thinks weekend means 'stay in bed all day' i should be used to it but im not and with tomorrow being a public holiday im going to go nuts!:banghead:

defaipe that is totally unfair of your dp!! parenting is NOT just mum's job  do you get along well with his mum? maybe you could ask her to talk to him about helping out more? he could take the 2 older girls to the park or something, just let you have a rest...
or maybe sending him off to his mums will give him a reality check! make him realise what a great family he has and he should make more effort!!
i don't think it sounds horrible to say you don't get a break. we need breaks sometimes!! i HANG for Al's first morning home, i feed H then send the two of them off to visit the in-laws. i love that sleep-in!
re sleep times, Harper normally goes down at 9.30! he usually gets up at 8.30 tho (with a couple of feeds, around 12 and 4). he's getting better in the day, started having two longer naps instead of a few 20 minute ones...

just had a fight with Al on the phone :banghead:
he's going to a bucks night on sat night (starts 5pm) then he also wants to go fishing friday arvo. i said could he just go for 2 hours instead of the usual 5? and he got all sh!tty and "fine i won't go at all then". whatever. i told him to just go but now he's saying he won't. so of course i am the horrid b!tch who won't let him go out! MEN!!!!

Hi girls

LL, sorry to hear about your bad night and the ear infection. Not nice. Poor bub.... and mum. Sorry to hear about your fight too. Im glad most of our friends are married so no bucks nights for us.

Jaxcoop, what a clever boy you have! Leahs no where near crawling but gets around the floor rolling.

Lana, Sarah, the 7th is the day I cant make. I could do any other day. Never mind. Would have loved to otherwise.

Defaipe, Leahs a 5.20am waker. Every morning like clockwork for the last 2 weeks. Thankfully Sams sleeping later now as he was getting up the same time. Well done with the twins. Braver woman than I!

Mel, congrats on teh house! Fantastic news!

Well we went for a huge walk this morning and to the shops for donuts and coffee. Was really nice. Have 2 clients overdue now - packing myself they will coem on the same day. bound to be this week though so might be a busy one. Fingers crossed they space it out a little. No major news here. Leahs in her jumperoo and Sams playing cars on the floor. Shyould put the roast on as tiem is dragging.

Hi girls

Yesterday we went & looked at cars but no success & dh didn't seem very interested :( Mum & dad then came over last night with fish & chips and just like I thought tried to get us to go to the movies or the pub for our anniversary however I was getting a migraine & we are broke. And I was so tired anyway. Anyway, they said that if we can hold out for a car, when my sister has gotten her loan from them paid out a bit more & my bro has paid the $6k amps back to them and/or if my grandparents estate goes through soon we can loan of their equity like my sister did. So I think we will wait for this option.

Today it is our 2 yr wedding anniversary! We went to Sizzler breakfast & OMG if you haven't done it you soooo have to! It was the best breakfast ever & it is all you can eat. I had to come home & sleep it off LOL. I slept for 2 hours! Then we went down to the Point & dh fished for a bit off the jetty while E was asleep in the pram then when she woke up we went to the beach part near the swings etc & I stood her up with her feet in the water but she kept crying/winging as it was too cold for her. LT she wore your swimming nappy again but forgot to take the pic!

As MIL didn't come over last weekend in the end I said it'd be bl00dy typical if she rang & expected to come today ... when I said this to dh he said well about that ... she is coming over late Monday arvo - around 5pm I think. She wants me to keep Ella awake! No way! and what a PITA time to come! Knowing her she'll turn up early & between 4.30-5pm I am giving Ella dinner, bath, bottle & bed. I will try & get her down asleep before 5pm! Just to annoy her LOL. No, Ella does go down around then anyway if I do everything on time.

Ella is sitting beside me in her swing & she was eating (& loving) a milk arrowroot biscuit. But she has now thrown the soggything on the floor & winging for it!

Ok I will catch up on the posts & reply separately.

xxx

PS I took some nice photos of Ella this morning in her new gorgeous summer dress & matching head band & berry plush on. When they are on PB I will let you know ... Michaela - is the offer still there?

KELLIE - OMG I can't believe ppl wouldn't buy nappies because of a name! I bought 2 x bamboo Sandmans for night even though a Sandman is a car most ppl used to r00t in! I think Hollie's name is so catchy & ppl won't forget it. Prudes! Oh & just tell your dh you are practicing your touch-typing skills HAHA.

LL - Sorry to hear about your night the other night & hope all is well now. How is Harps?

I will look at that link now ... How do I make pics A4? Should I just email a pic I did today? I will email to you.

I can totally relate to the fishing incident! If you don't sound enthusiastic about them going (since they go all the time) and ask them to not be too long or something along those lines they tell their mates that we won't let them come! Not true, not fair!

My friend is also having a Tupperware party in November & I have never been to one before. I already told her I would book one! Lol. Dave doesn't mind me having those parties ... just have to keep my spending to a min ... speaking of which my anniversary present to dh was after paying for breakfast on it I gave him the credit card LOL. Now I have no choice but to put my money no it & not use it - unless it's an emergency. I really have to pay it off & save some real money.

I know what you mean about dada being just a sound to them atm but it'd still be lovely to hear her actually make sounds like that instead of just rasberries & squealing at the top of her lungs! Hehe.

I have ... a part time pack from Baby Beehinds plus extras & all up I am getting - 10 bamboo fitteds, 4 pul covers, 2 magic-alls, 2 wool cover, 5 bamboo boosters so I will be all set!

Also, I can't seem to do anything on Facebook! My computer is so sh!t I need a new one!! I am having withdrawals - I don't know why that has stopped working ...

LANA - How is your trip?! Bet you are missing the kids & Sam already! Don't forget to take plenty of pics of the yummy mummies.

HOLLIE - What a lovely frog you have there ... I still had the last of a migraine this morning & I asked dh to get up for E's 5.30 feed but guess who did it? Me! maybe Frog can run some training classes LOL. Oh & Dh has put on 3 cloth nappies now!! How are your sinus's ? Oh & we went for a drive the other day & saw a climbing wall in a park! WT? I thought that would not be very safe in a playground. It's quite high & has all the little coloured thingies on it to climb up ... on your own no harness or anything as it's in the kids playground.

GIn - How are you & Kes today? Ella has had a runny nose the last few days too but seems fine!

ANNA - When are you going to NZ? Leah sounds like she loves her new toy - you will have to make sure you take some pics to show us :)

Have your clients popped yet?

JAXCOOP - How was the sleepover? Cooper sounds like he is very close to crawling too! Does he do commando or what my niece did 'the worm' - where they sort of get their bum in the air & slide down ... look so funny. Ella does the same thing as Cooper - blowing rasberries with the spoon of food at her mouth! Thank goodness we have hard floors!

Oh & with the berry push - I used it as a cover over a baby beehinds today. Worked well & looked fab. I got her a medium one on sale but the second one I got is a large. Ella has a weight prob on her thighs ... ROFL.

Def - same as Ella now! Damn sunlight! But if she is lying there awake at 5am when he gets up I get up & feed her as I can actually feed her & put her back to bed & she will sleep til 7.30-8am but if I leave it til she wants to get up around 5.30 then she doesn't go back to sleep as it's like full on day time then.

Sounds like A is gonna be a moving soon! Oh & I think your dp & my dh are twins - how they get to sleep half the day away - the whole day if you let them be! I bring Ella into bed now when due for a nap & she pokes & prods him lol so he ends up getting up but in a good mood, not like when I drag him out of bed.

FIRSTTIME - Helloooo!!! Long time no see ... hope the reno's & xander are going well. Don't leave it so long next time, we missed you. These stalkers are scaring me! Is it anyone you know?

MEL - CONGRATS ON THE NEW HOUSE!!! I bet that is a relief!

Def - Thanks for the congrats! I hope we can get a car soon too!

Ok gonna go find a pic but don't have many cloth bum pics yet ... actually ... none except one today but not the best.

Evening all

Ohhh the worst most disgusting, grossiest and smelliest thing happened today...well this is definetly TMI be warned LOL try not to speww :barf:

ok we got back from the markets at lunch time, I get Noah out of the car and he does this fluffy but with movement...oh sh!t I thought whoah you stink(robbie rotten)lol anyway bring him in to change his mcn and I open it up and its this biggest smoushiest stinkiest poopoo i'd ever seen. I start to wipe him & wipe him & wipe him lol and I lift him up slighty to get underneath and up the back and I hear Noah do a grunty type noise and woosh more poopoo sprays out like a hose, thank god I was standing on the side of the change table...it went all over the carpet, up the wall and half on his wash basket EWWWWHHH...
I screamed, DH says ahhh whats wrong OMG we were both in shock. Needless to say he has just a slight case of gastro thanks to his darling brother...he's had 2 more explosive nappies since-thankgod I still have a few sposie left. He had a temp Friday and a little yesterday but no other symptoms, I thought it might have been teeth...boy was I wrong LOL

Sorry if anyone just had dinner :D
Back after to chat some more!!!!!

Shesh you gals can talk:ecomcity:!lol!

i cleaned the house today, not sure why i bother cause it just gets in a mess again! Jaxon is sleeping the nights at my mums !!Lol! So i can get some piece and quiet from the constant super sound effects and constant thumping around from him thinking he is spider man or some super hero!

I swear cooper is saying mum! Last night when he was in his cot he was saying mum (kinda) over and over and i kept repeating it and he kept repeating back! Not sure maybe im just excited! Is it too early you reckon? I can't remember with jax, i remember him saying da da 1st and i was devastated!

libary-laska- Them photos are gorgeous! He is so cute! Where did you get the name harper from? I really like that! I have never heard it before!

Carrie- The sleepover was good. His frineds name is callum and hes 2yrs older and hes a bit full on, he eggs jaxon on to do naughty things so i really have to keep an eye on him. He's my besties son and shes a bit of a pi$$pot so i take him most weekends so she can go out! Congats on your anniversary. I have been to the sizzler for tea and i didn't really like it too much, but i didn't even know that they do a breakkie. Next time im in sydney i will have to drag dp and go!

Elmo have fun on your trip!

Kel those baby beehinds that were $20 they were made out of hemp and they were fitted ones so is that still cheap?

I have been searching for a pair of ********* that i have stashed away somewhere and i can't remember where i put them! I want to put them on coop cause his little knees are getting red from trying to crawl!

Ok ladies im off to check my emails then search for mcn's! take care!!

Sara thanks re Harper's name. i chose it off a street sign actually! but it is a boys or girls name, and the author of 'to kill a mockingbird' is Harper Lee. (ETA: Cooper was 2nd on my list tho!)
hey, did you say your DH works away? so does mine. he is a metallurgist on a minesite.

libary laska i like it for a girl! I think its on my list if i ever have more kids!!

Yeah he lives and works in sydney. I live 4hrs away up the coast. He works for state transit. Its a really long story but i hate the city and he hates the country and he doesn't want to leave his job cause its a well paid job! So we only get to see him 1-2 weekends each month. But since coop has been born he has tried to come up more. I hate it cause its so hard looking after the kids by myself! I told him he has to figure out what he wants to do cause its too hard on me. Im hoping he moves up to port mcquarie and if that doesn't wok than i will meet him halfway in newcastle! I don't know how its going to work cause i have lived by myself for so long uts going to be hard to get use to someone doing things a different way!

Anyway i have been :ecomcity:! Talk to ya's later:)

Jaxcoop - Wow your hubby lives 4 hours fromyou!? I couldnt handle that all the time.

Sam's new job is fly in fly out too. He has an alternating roster of 2 weeks on 2 weeks of then 2 weeks on 1 week off. Its nott bad i suppose... better than the 4 and 1 he was working when i was first pregnant.

I am soo wanting some dessert but the hotel doesnt offer any for room service :crying: so if i want some i have to wakl 10 mins to Safeway (which is open til like 12am, how odd!) I think i might just use the vending machines lol... here choccie, choccie choccie!

dont go to bed LL, i am still here...........

love your pics - harps is adorable! is he feeling better this evening? how's his ear?

i'm trying to come up with a tattoo idea for hubby and myself, you inspired me with yours. i work right near the tattoo place in subi, just need to pluck up the courage to wonder in there...i'm trying to think of some italian inspired theme, as he was conceived on our wedding night in italy, but so far come up with a big fat nothing.

thanks gals for welcoming me back, i do follow the posts but dont often get time to post, with working, baby, dh away, etc.

defaipe - if you convert too then i must be the last person left in the country using sposies!

elmo - yes, they are the privileged ones on that side of the country with their liberal shopping hours, how much would i love to shop late at night or on a sunday. maybe WA will catch up one day:yes:

Mel - yes dont renovations suck, we painted all day today, well dh did most of it while i provided the food, beer and lookd after the little boy. cant wait to move into our new room though. the bathroom has come up great, a big oversized bath, ive tried it out already - very nice.

well its midnite, best i get to bed.

I was rather tired yesterday - just think due to the big week we had with house hunting etc... Thanks for all your congrat's on the house. DP and I really excited - not looking forward to the packing (YUK) but the change of lifestyle and the fact that NO MORE RENOVATIONS is just so damn exciting to us...

defaipe - Ellery use to go down about 5.30-6pm, but she's been getting a little later recently - around 6.30-7pm.... My little darling seems to wake with the sun - so it is getting earlier...:hair: This morning she was talking in her cot at 5am.... Your day's are long when they are awake for over a 12 hour day...
Our day routine is all over the place - nothing set in concrete, but she is good during the night. Some mornings it can be hard going though... So, i know what you mean - harder tho, if you're not a morning person. (like crazy me!!)

Kellie - eeeeuuuuwww - sorry to hear about the nightmare runs with Noah. I got sprayed when E was newborn - but no dramas since then. Poor little man not well though... Would have been rather gross and he probably had pains in the tummy too.... Hope you were able to clean it all up without too much hassle - and that Noah is feeling better soon.
Glad you had a nice time at the markets. I haven't been for a while - i think we went about 2-3 months ago. You can find some real bargains there, but i've noticed it is getting alot dearer say compared to about 3-4 years ago.

FT - as you've probably read, we've been in reno mode for about 5 years - we'd complete an area, have a break, then start again. COMPLETELY OVER IT.... I was so glad to have my nice new ensuite - but it was ready to use about 2 weeks before E was due... So, there was an amount of stress before her birth (probably caused the nightmare birth/labour i had.. ha ha) Glad the bath is super nice - I am a bath girl myself, love laying in the nice warm water - bubble bath is always nice too! I would help DP - but he did most of it like your man, I was the same. Provided drinks, food etc... ha ha... My DP gets in big time and wears himself out - so the move to the new house will enable him to have some 'rest'...

Lana - glad you had a great trip to sydney, and you're already into the shopping - woo hoo... go girl.... Once we're settled in the new place - I'll be doing a touch of shopping myself i think.

Michaela - I too like Harpers name.... When i saw it on here I thought how trendy and masculine it sounded. Your hubbies job sounds interesting in the mines - but would be hard with him away. I am gathering it would be 4 days on 4 days off or something similar?

Jaxcoop - sounds like it is hard at times with DH working 4 hours away... I hope some alternative arrangements can be made to make it easier for you both.... I hope Cooper is saying MUM for you... and what a trouper getting all the housework done.

It was really hot here yesterday. DP did the yards (and the vacuuming while i took E for a walk - good man) so I pottered about cleaning a bit and washined the floors. It is a marathon job doing our floors, but the bamboo flooring looks a treat once done.

Must keep moving. Ellery is in there chatting to herself and her animals.... Be back soon!!

other than his poopoo Noah is fine, he hasn't shown any signs of a sore tummy and no more temps so hopefully he will be back to normal in a couple days.
Elijah is off to preschool today so it's a mummy day today!!!! Monday & Wednesday, I love em....

Carrie Happy anniversary for yesterday, Sizzlers sounds so yummy...there goes the diet hehe
With the milk arrowroot???aren't you afraid a piece will break off in their mouth? Lana Hows Sydney??? You shopaholic you!!! Did you enjoy your choccies? I bet they wont even compare to Lindt cafe/choccies mmmmmmmmmm did I mention I was jealous???!!!

Sara Gosh I don't know how you do it with your DH away so often. Credit to you!!! Yeah you should move to Newcastle, love it there. That way you are only 2 hrs away from DH...Bamboo are normally $25 as are the hemp ones, so yes what a bargin. I saw the special on a nappies site yesterday but can't remember which one, i will have to search my history....
I have a neice called Harper, it so pretty (sorry M) it suits her so much. It is lovely for a boy or a girl!!! very unique!!!

Defaipe Sounds like the party will be loads of fun! I assume its a dress up...to bad we are all over here :)

Nic Did u get your highchair???

Mel Oh i feel for you, all that packing, oh and unpacking...just think how everything willl be new and clean and you will now where everything is! I must say I didnt really enjoy the markets much boohooo :crying: I used too but it was to hot, to many people and Elijah was cranky which in turn has mummy and daddy a little bit cranky ahhh I suppose he was hot, tired, hungry and was sick of walking... Its a shame cause I do love markets but its just not practical with a 4 1/2 yr old...

Morning!

Lana, where are you staying? Not many hotels around here so you must be only a couple of km from me. Did you go to Castle Towers? We probably passed each other yesterday LOL. Rouse Hills new shops have just opened stage 1 too. Apparently they are pretty good but no clothes shops yet. I desperately need to do some clothes shopping.

Sydney girls, the driving I pmed about - thats depending there are no babies being born that day so perhaps it is best to arrange in a public transport friendly place. LT, looks like its up to you as neither Sarah and I know the city too well. Coffee is a must!

Kel, YUCK! Haven't had that experience yet with either kids thank goodness. Bound to happen though.

Not much happening today. Seeing a client this avo. Going for a walk to the homemakers centre this morning as they have good coffee up there. Need to get some housework done now. Leah was a bit of a nightmare last night which is a shame as shes getting better generally at night but I think maybe she was just hot as I know I was. Supposed to be a few scorcher days coming up. Ok, gotta fly.

Morning everyone

Mondays is my big clean with mopping etc but started last night when the kids were in bed (dh & dd). So only had to do bedrooms & floors and doing a few loads of washing today.

Lana - Glad you had a lovely flight. Have fun shopping! You have prob spent all your spending money already LOL. How come you went on your own? You're game!

Kellie - How is Noah? I hope he is feeling better, poor thing. That sounds so disgusting for both of you. Good thing you have some sposies left!

With the arrowroot - she pretty much sucks on it so it is quite soggy by the time she swallows it. Ella tried weet bix this morning!

Oh & Lana reminded me it is $10-$20 for the secret santa ... there goes my idea haha.

Jaxcoop - I have the bamboo fitteds from BBH. They are soo good cos I don't even have covers yet but it lasts 3 hours before I even feel the damp on the outside of the nappy so just as long as a sposie. If I am going out I put a berry plush cover on them or plastic pants or velcro pilchers from Big W.

You will def have to go for breakky as it is a lot nicer than lunch/dinner ... but then I am the type of girl who goesout for lunch & orders an all day breakfast! How was your Jaxon-free night? I hope your friend repays you & has Jaxon sometimes for you. What is your real name by the way?

Speaking of Coopers ... Emma80 - Where are you? Hope you & Cooper are doing well.

GOOD NEWS - Me & Haylie are going to Sizzler for brekky on Sunday morning haha.... well hoping to make it - see how things go.

Defaipe - darlingsdownunder.com.au is great for buying nappies & Tania who runs it is great to deal with ... also babyblossom.com.au.

MICHAELA - Gorgeous pics! The blue bumgenius is the only one i don't have ... i promised myself I wouldn't order anymore but it is such a lovely colour! Is that the new blue one?

FIrsttime - You will have to let us know what you decide for your tats ... I wanna get a small white/yellow/pink frangipani with Ella's name around the top & room around the bottom for my next 2 kids ... lol.

Anna - How are your overdue clients going? Hope they don't pop at the same time! Murphy's law ...

Ok well gtg hang this load of washing & do some more ... bbl

Good morning all! I have had a bad nights sleep with cooper waking every hour for a feed:eek: He's driving me insane! Oh well i keep telling myself 1 more year and then he will most likely be sleeping through!!

To top it off there is a maltese dog a couple of houses up that barks all friggin night! I didn't really notice it until dp picked it out now i can hear it all the time. It barks for about 1/2hr at a time and does this on and off all night.
So This morning cranky as anything i yeled out the window at 5am and said shut your friggin dog up! And im guessing they did cause i haven't heard it bark since! I think i was just so sleep deprived and i kinda feel bad now. Oh well!

I am still on the hunt for the *********! I was looking all night i know they are here! They are going to look great when i get the mcns!

Carrie- my real name is sara. It was very nice last night without jaxon! Its so quiet! I wouldn't want my friend to repay me cause she isn't that responsible! She would let him wonder off and not watch him near the road.

Kel- Glad to hear noah is better. Enjoy your mummy day! I might get one of those bbh nappies. I think they were on the eco bambino site. Save me one!!

If i move to newie he will be coming with me! He can get a transfer to there.

firsttime- I so wanna get a tat across my lower back! I want a celtic sign with my kids names and dob's on it! I had a friend who done that and the tat guy put the wrong date on there:eek:.
I'm so scared it's going to hurt! I have this cream that numbs you that i use to get my needles so i might use that! Im am such a wos!!

Michaela- Those pics are gorgeous! I can't wait till coops in his mcn's! I think the one BP ones is so cute!

melannh- so sorry you have to pack! I have done it both times i was pregnant with no one to help, that was hard. Its all worth it but! I hate unpacking thats the worst!

Well that's all for now! I shall be back later! I am still in my pj's!!:)

Milk arrowroot Harper loves them, sucks them all soggy. i just grab any bits that break off...

FT i think an italian themed tatt would be mint. just go into the tatt shop, they have HEAPS of pics or they can draw some up for you.

Mel my DH does 8 days away, 6 days home. sometimes its hard but we think its worth it for the 6 days home! he used to work on a diamond mine which i think is far more interesting than copper and zinc that he does now BUT he says the processing of diamonds is boring. lucky for me he worked there when we got engaged

Carrie we're going to sizzler brekky next sunday! hehe. thats my bribe for him going fishing...

Sara sorry to hear you had such a bad night. i hope both kids have a nap later so you can too!

Morning!

I should really find some time of the weekends to pop in cause so much happens over the weekend.

Lana, hope you are enjoying yourself shopping! Must be nice having some time on your own. Hope the rest of your trip is great!

Kel, I went to Kmart on the weekend but they sold out, I am going to call another store today to see if they can hold me one. I love it though, it's a fantastic highchair. I hope Noah is feeling better, that's horrible! Madi was sick with gastro a couple of months ago - it's so horrible :barf:

Mel, congratulations on buying a house! That's fantastic news! Once you move and are settled we should arrange a meet up.

Well I went out Friday night and it was really really good! It was my first time out with the girls and it was heaps of fun, except that it didn't take me much to feel tipsy - hehe. I got home pretty early though cause I was so tired, think I was in the door at 11:30pm, I was so tired and feeling like **** the next day. DH was so good though, he had picked Madi and went home and feed and changed her and put her to bed with no dramas at all. He said he had a great time too with out me nagging him - lol

Carrie, the breakfast at Sizzlers sounds so good. I didn't even know you could go there for breakfast! I wanna go now!

Hey FT, nice to hear from you again. How are you finding working again? How many days are you working? I am working 4 days and it's very tiring as Madi decideds it fun to wake up during the night and play! Glad to hear that A is doing well.

Anna, nice to hear from you too! Oh, I hope your clients don't pop on the same day! Fingers crossed it all goes well and then you get some rest afterwards. Enjoy your coffee this morning!

I bought a jolly jumper for Madi but when we put her in it she doesn't know what to do, instead of jumping she thinks it fun to twirl around and get dizzy. How long should it take for them to figure out what to do? She doesn't like to stay in it too long, she cries after about 10 minutes. I had the JJ stand on order at Babies Galore and thought I better cancel it as I don't want to pay all that money is she doesn't want to use it. I called them this morning and they won't give my money back! So annoyed at them!! Especially as I have spend $5000 there! Not happy!

jaxcoop
01-10-2007, 11:38 AM
M2B-It shouldn't take to long. I remember jax hated his jj and cooper didn't really like it either. He has one of them jumperoos and he loves that. I would be complaining to babies galore and ask to speak to the manager and tell them exactly what you want and that you have spent a lot of money and you want your money back.

Oh my goodness i just made the biggest mistake! I hopped on that new nappies website minicuteture and i quickly snapped up a minky and then went through the checkout and then i went back to have a look a t it then stupid me realises that it was a newborn:eek:, so i quickly emailed them and told them what i done and if they have a larger size. I hope they do cause i don't want to have to pay for it! It must be lack of sleep!

Anyways coopers asleep at the moment and i am starving and not sure what i am going to have for lunch! I am running out of ideas for coopers snacks. At the moment he has one of them sassy feeder things and he eats about 2 pears a day! What else can i give him? I give him the arrowroots too libary-laska! I always worry about him choking though.

Talking about choking! He choked on a dried leaf yesterday! Scared the hell out of me! So i have barred people wearing shoes in the house now. And then this morning he found a lttle hole in the pillow and pulled some stuffing out and was eating it. He was choking again and then he ended up swallowing it. I hope he will be ok. Scared me so much! Little bugger i think i have my hands full with this one:hair:

Ones in labour now so doesn't look like a clash :smiliedance: So happy for her but shes been in labour for 10 hrs and its been slow going so far.

Had a lovely walk but its so damned hot already! Had brunch up the shops then had to bring the kidlets back for nap times.

M2B, Sam never liked his JJ. Leah on the other hand, it took 2 goes for her to get the hang of her jumperoo and she loves it. Once she does an accidental bounce or two she'll start figuring it out and hopefully will like it. Madi is such a cutie! Love this age. Are her feet touching the floor though? Hard to tell in teh photos. Give BG a blast. They are so useless honestly. We never get service in there - you dont unless you have a heavily pg tummy and look like you are about to buy up large.

Jaxcoop, Leah eats toast and soft fruits such as mellons. Have you tried steamed carrot or brocoli? They are other first finger foods from memory. I remember women from my playgroup giving cruskits and saltanas as first foods too. Will have a think of some others.

Ok, my house looks like its been hit by a bomb. Sams great at getting toys out but not so great at putting them away. Best go do something about it.

Faeml - Thanks for that but I checked the Edit options & I already have the enhanced one selected. I think my computer is just old & stupid!

But saying that if you have any ideas how to fix it I'd luv to be able to use BH properly!

LL - Who is that Chris guy?

Jaxcoop - I will have to check that site out! Can you pm it to me? I wanna get my hands on a Daydreamer & a dreamy nights but the website is sold out.

Ella I don't think is feeling too well as I gave her baby yoghurt for lunch & been wingy & throwing up a bit ever since & it stinks of off yoghurt. She doesn't throw up natural yoghurt!!

It may work out well cos she is winging again now so gonna give her an early dinner & bath, bottle & bed which works out well since MIL is dropping in at 5pm & I said E is in bed by then. Geez that'll annoy her!

Speaking of MIL ... Christmas is always a bl00dy drama & she acts like a 5 yr old. One yr she refused to answr her phone then accused the boys of not even calling! ANyway so I asked what everyone thought of breakfast here on christmas morning. No one except my 2 SIL's replied so today I sent an email saying breakfast 9.30am our place christmas day, byo meat & drinks, we'll supply the rest so basically it's organised & it's up to them to turn up.

Ok really gtg, Ella's still wingy.

Have a good arvo xo

nic, love the pics of madi. any chance you could get a credit & buy something else? not ideal but better than nothing. how rude of them tho!

im still in shock about chris mainwaring.. only 41. so sad.

lana i wish i was with you!! the shopping sounds like fun! i need clothes lol.

FT i agree.. we need late night shopping & sundays!! cant wait to see what tatt you come up with. i want to get dp one for his birthday.. might put my name on it too.. brand him for good!

mel i love my baths too!! i think i've only had 2 since i was preg with D.. no fair hey! we dont have a lock on the bathroom door so the kids would just wanna jump in too. not relaxing at all! even if i could lock it they'd just bang and cry! i dont even get to go to the loo in peace.

D still hasnt had an accident.. been in knickers for 3 days now, only nappies at sleep time and waking up dry. so she's having a nap now with knickers on and i'll put her in a nappy tonight. this will definitely save money! still spend $20 a week a nappies just for A tho. once i get the inserts & covers i'll be set to go!

im hoping the toddler seat arrives tomorrow.. i will post a pic of the pram. its so big.. but wont be a problem once we sell the car(hopefully soon) coz dp is going to get a motorbike and i'll have my station wagon back. im hanging out for the new phil n ted to see what thats like.. im going to sell my mountain buggy early next year once D no longer has a sleep in the pram.

I am so incredibly jealous of all these talking babies. Ellery is just doing the bubba talk still - and a few raspberry's here and there. Nothing too exciting....:( Hopefully she'll say something soon.

She has been really clingy today - teeth. her gums have been read and raised for so long now - she is just over it I guess.

Well, DP just arrived home - so will respond soon. Who is the guy that Died? Do you know what happened????? Everyone who knows of him seems really shocked that's all.

Hey ... MIL just left before (only stayed for about 40 mins if that) ... she saw Ella's doll on the floor & said 'oh she's already got a doll' and I said yes she has had it for quite a while now & she gave me a soft doll she bought her & I said it doesn't matter, you can't have too many dolls! And she kept telling me not to give her the bottle that came with it ... duh!

Anyway, the doll is very cute, she prob just wanted to give her her first doll ... like I did. Also, she gave me Ella's stocking she has finished which I have taken photos of but they need to go onto Photobucket. And when she called DH the other day she asked what size Ella is wearing now I said I bet she's getting more togs cos Ella has 3 pairs (from me lol) and yes she did! But I said she will def get the wear out of them anyway. They are cute, they are blue & green with a bit of purple, a mermaid on the rashy, boyleg bottoms and a swim hat. She gave me the docket as the size is just 6-12 mths and I said I was buying size 1's. They are from Millers as Millers in the city has a whole big section for kids & babies. I think they'll be big enough & I said we'll def use them between swimming lessons, Wello Pt, MG, mum's etc etc.

AND they had a car accident a couple of months ago & in the meantime they bought a little hatch - she said 1983 model and I think it's a Charade, 4 door and she said that once her claim comes through ($40-$70k) ... (I thought she was going to buy us a new car or offer to pay Dave's debt which we already paid most of which she said she'd pay a yr ago) ... they said we can just have it as a second car. I kept saying I was grateful cos it's a 4 door and will be heaps easier. I was just telling mum & she said that's good to get us by for now and as a 2nd car as cheap to run (uses less fuel than mine!) but we really need to start putting away what we'd be paying on a car loan to save for a good car.

Defaipe - Is it a public holiday there? What for? Not fair ... no actually I don't mind cos I could do all my washing & housework since dh was at work ... aren't I nice? Lol. If you have any nice clothes you wanna sell me pm me! I bet you have some great things & in heaps of sizes.

Well done to D! She is doing so well. Have you ordered any MCN's yet? I still say we should be the March Mums Cloth Converts thread! Hehe.

Yeah Christmas is always a massive drama & no matter how early we try to organise MIL always acts like a drama queen. Basically she has a huge fam & has lunch at one aunty's, dinner at anothers. We went one yr for lunch & half of them didn't even know Dave. Christmas is meant to be spent with your family that you actually know lol. And last few yrs we have always spent with mine in case it was my grandparents' last one ... and she never comes to what we organise with dh's family (his dad & his new fam this yr, brothers, nieces & nephews) and always complains no matter what about not seeing her on christmas day. Well I have a small fam - my parents, sister & bro ... my aunty (dad's sis) is going to spend it in Sydney at my uncle's family's as never done that before so it's just us. My uncle & aunty on mum's side like to spend it alone & we see them Boxing Day night for dinner. So I think it's fair we spend it with mum & dad. I have organised the breakfast on Christmas morning but my BIL&SIL may be in the hospital with their new bub (she's due 4 Jan) and knowing MIL she'll make an excuse not to be able to go ... sorry it is such a horrible time of yr now ...

SARAH - Yay for Iris!! Clever girl you have there! Ella isn't doing anything but squealing & blowing rasberries lol.

KELLIE - I have 3 peapods & I luv they come in the bags! They are quite good nappies except I accidently got the white one in small & the other 2 in med but the small fits, just have it looser around the legs lol. But that is the usual story with E - the top button is usually done up 1 tighter than the bottom LOL. What is an Aqua Dry Bees Pocket? Can you pm or email me? As for night times I have 2 of the bamboo sandmans & wool soaker which are just the best ... I am hanging for a KK though!!!

Cr@p so much for the short quick post! LOL.

Better go hang some nappies ...

PS - Jaxcoop thanks for the pm! I am looking quickly now but will prob look properly tomorrow x

carrie that is so cute! Get it :devil6:! I wish i could have a girl!!! I love pink!

I have been geeing dp up for another bub! He said that 2 was enough and he didn't want anymore and i said well i want 4 kids! I said that i didn't want to wait to long and he didn't say yes but he didn't say no! I said i would like to start trying next year! Does anyone know how long you have to wait after a c/s?

He also said last night on the phone that port macquarie is looking good at the moment and he is going to start looking into it after xmas!:smiliedance:I hope he sticks to his word cause i can't wait! We can finally be a proper family!:)

Gee its so hot at the moment i hate it already!

Melannh- im sure she will start saying something soon , cooper is probably not even saying anything! It probably just me hoping that he is! Jax said dad 1st and i was devastated cause he was never around and i was the one looking after him! But then i found out that most bubs say da da 1st.

Kel- i think it is stellarella doing that nappie store cause it was her email on there and it was in another thread that a bubhub mum is doing it. Good on her i say! I will be buying something from there for sure!

nemo- you have a very talented little bub there!

Carrie - sometimes our xmas's can be a bit of a hassle, more when it is a combined family thing of some sorts. We usually go to my lot for lunch - then have his lot either xmas eve or boxing day... That works out pretty well. Sometimes is can be a drag - and we have to drive over an hour to my lot - so that can be annoying (as we're the ones with the baby) anyway, I try and get through the day without many grizzles. Christmas can be a tense time - I am looking forward to it tho, especially if we're in the new house. Apparently they all go a bit crazy with xmas lights - so I can put mine up too (well, I have to convince DP to put alot of them.... he he)
Sounds like the MIL can be a handful at times hey? Well, glad the visit went ok (and of course, that you'd bought the special doll first.. he he)

Nic - do you take Madi to swimming classes. Just that you're in the coomera district and it's something I want to get on pretty quickly....

yes major shock.. he used to play for the west coast eagles, he's very well none in WA from there and channel 7. the latest news was that it might have been a drug overdose.. i am so sick of drugs.

public holiday was queens birthday or something.. i think she gets like 4 a year  lol.

Anna im not staying in a Hotel im staying at my Aunty's house. I dont get to Sydney until 8.30pm tomorrow though (tuesday)

I cant wait to do some more shopping!

defaipe - Yay for D!! She is doing great! Sounds like she is pretty much toilet trained.

Michaela - How is Harps feelings? I love the pics of him, very cute.

Kel - How is Noah feeling now? Hopefully the gastro has subsided.

GIN - THANK YOU so much for today! I had a blast at the zoo and it was great to get to meet you and Kes.
Girls he is even cuter in real life! His eyes are ten times bigger and brighter and he is just so d@mn cheeky! He has a gorgeous smile and the most delicate, long fingers ever.... A pianist in the making!

Gin and I are meeting up again tomorrow for a coffee too so I will charge my batteries for my camera tonight and take some pics.

Carrie - I came on my own cos Sam didnt want to come to Melbourne of Sydney. Now that he is home on his own with the kids though i think he wishes he had lol. Apparently Griff is teething the poor thing. I feel sorry for Sam having to deal with all this on his own.

Perthies - I cant believe Chris Mainwaring has died either!! Sam told me this evening. His poor family. I wonder what actually happened. From reading that article it sounds like he was either on something or delusional about something but i will wait for all the details before i judge. It is just so sad that he died at such a young age with two young children and a wife left behind to grieve for him :crying:

I went to the movies on my own tonight. I went Directors Suite and saw The Bourne Ultimatum. It was fantabulous!! Off to do more shopping tomorrow too. Oh, and i bought some cute things for Amity and Griff in a little store here in Melbourne on one of the many hidden lanes lol - thanks for showing me Gin!

don't wash the wool cover, it is lanolised. you'll be able to use it a few times then wash and re-lanolise.

def go the medium peapods, Harps grew out of the small ages ago and he is thin. he had major butt crack lol

Ellery is up early today - another 5am start. Not that early morning bother me - but it just seems to be getting earlier all the time.. Have re-covered her about 4 times already and only been 30 mins! I will get her up about 6am.... Otherwise, she has slept through the night from about 7pm.... She is super grizzley with these teeth - I am just waiting for them/it to pop through and praying for some relief for both her and mummy....

I managed to get another lot of vegies done - was up a bit later than usual, but feels good to know it is there ready to serve to E when hungry. She is eating a fair amount of solids - sometimes 4 portions a day, usually 3. Do you think that is too much?

We are off to pacific fair this morning to meet up with a friend. Have chatted on the phone and email lately, haven't been able to catch up - so looking forward to it. Also, need to get E a sun shirt and want to look at pool things for her. Any suggestions of good equipment (floaties etc?)...

Lana - so glad you're having a nice time away. I am sure you are worried about Sam and the kids - but as was said before, he will appreciate what you do at least!!!!!!!!!

Michaela - hope you have fun at the club today. Sorry to hear your cousin is moving - sounds like you get along really well. Always hard when things change and people move away....:(
Hope Harper is feeling a little better too.

Defaipe - with drinking heaps of water at night, just see how much you are drinking and if there is a reason. Sometimes it can mean something just isn't quite right (if it is excessive).... I know you're very busy, so could be just the body needing rehydration hey.....

I am yet to start packing..... ha ha... I have good intentions but ellery is being very clingey and sooky - so hoping i will be able to get motivated and get the things we don't use alot out of the way. Haven't heard yet exactly when settlement may be - but probably November some time. It is currently jan 08, but i know that all parties want it before xmas...:yelclap:

Oh Sh!t -

I just ordered that Vintage Babe one I posted on here last night ... oops ... DH had hidden the card this morning too! But clever little me went to my online banking, went to statement & it had my card no! As for the 3 digit number on the back and expiry date I know those off by heart ROFL.

Last one I swear! Too bad it needs a cover ..

Def - I have 1 wool soaker for bedtime, very cute from sustainable hemp products (they make the sandmans). The other covers I have are coming a couple of weeks - they are baby beehinds ones. I think I have 2 wool ones and 4-5 pul covers. They are in natural or lovely bright colours.

I find E doesn't really need a cover with beehinds anyway because they don't feel damp for about 3 hours! When I go out I'll use them but for now I am using pockets or berry plush. I have the fuschia berry plush & turqoise - is the fuschia the one you ordered?

Walking to MG today as about 30 mins walk away today & got dh to take car so not tempted lol except it looks like it may rain! At least it's cool.

OMG Ella stinks bad ... gtg change her & give her brekky & put her down for a nap.

Bye!

carrie thats hilarious about remembering your hubbys card number! my mum does that too with my dads:laughing: the things you can pay for over the phone & on the net  haha

Did i mention A is finally rolling properly.. well from back to front anyway.. then she gets stuck and cant go back so she whinges till i pick her up.. but hey its an improvement!! hehe. and she's starting to enjoy solids. she ate pretty much a whole banana(small) in the mesh thingy and cried every time i took it off her to put more in it. she loves her vegies but would rather feed herself.

how does everyone clean the mesh thingys? they are so annoying!

Good Morning

Not much happening today, bit of washing and yucky folding...I have to go through Noahs clothes and put away all the OO's and the winter clothes His drawers are bursting at the seems.LOL. Probably doesn't help that I buy him new clothes nearly everytime I go shopping.
You'd think with clothes from Elijah he would have enough.... hehe

Noah is slowing getting better (poopoo) he was in sposie yesterday and in the arvo we go to oma's so I decide to put him in a mcn and yes just when we are leaving oma's he gives me a lovely present (not as bad as the other day) lucky I put in a microfleece liner and a flushable liner...hardly got any on the nappy

Carrie Its a bummer that that cute nappy needs a cover...it's probably the reason Im not buying any fitteds cause you have to put a cover on, I don't mind at night time of course...like sandmans with a wooly. Oh yeah I did order a BBH deluxe trail pack and that does have two fitteds, one hemp and one bamboo. Did u ask the other day about the deluxe pack??? (http://www.babybeehinds.com.au/shop/proddetail.php?prod=deluxetrialpack) Too bad they are out of stock...she did say to me they have stock in but they are filling orders first so if you are interested I would keep checking cause Im sure they will be back in stock soon...

Sorry for all the mcn talk non mcn mummies :o

I bought a wool cover and some lanolin spray (baby powder scent) and some wool wash from sustainable hemp site last night. Once we start using them how often should I wash it???

Does any one know if you can use the peapods for night time? I have a night time booster with my peapod so do you think the pp with the booster and then a wool soaker??? would that work???

Is there any difference between a wool soaker and a wool cover?

Defaipe I know what u mean about the meshy things, I wash it and food especially banana still stick to the net ahhhh Hope D gets back to normal soon.

Sarah Defaipe I'm so jealous that you guys get to buy all that cute girly stuff, actually its probably a good thing hehe

Mel How much does Ellery sleep during the day? I wonder why she wakes up so early? Besides the sun and birds factor. Maybe you should get a light material grow bag/ sleep bag so you dont have to recover her or wrap her...that way she's always got something on her whether she kicks off her sheet or blanket...not sure where u can get them, i'll have to do a search :detective:
I hope u are in the new house by Xmas, how exciting the new houseand Ellery's first chrissy...awhhhhh

Michaela Have fun today at mum's club lunch actually which is yesterday by the time you read this cause you said "catch you tomorrow" which is actually today (when you read this) LOL hehe you realise this lil babble will only make sense if you do read this tomorrow which will be today  :D hehe

Morning!

Just popping in quickly as I am really busy at work today!

Kel, my mum is going to KMart today to get my highchair. I can't wait for it! Hope Noah is feeling better soon, is he still eating and drinking ok? When Madi had gastro a while back I had to buy gastrolite drink for her to help stop it. She loved the drink.

Mel, I was talking to my DH on the weekend about swimming classes. I don't know what is in the area, but another bubhubber 'nella' from the gold coast section posted a link with swimming details in our area. I was going to check it out some more. I want DH to take Madi swimming on the weekends, I could not get into a pair a swimmers at the moment. Mel, 3 or 4 portions of solids is good. Madi eats non stop all day, she has breakie, lunch and dinner with 2 snacks in between. Yesterday she had yoghurt for breakfast, then 2 milk arrow bickies mixed with a little bit of hot boiled water in mush them and some formula, then half a banana in the mesh dummy feeder, then a jar of organic veges and later followed by another jar of pear and banana. Piggy Wiggy indeed!

Carrie, hope your MIL answers you about the Chrissy breakfast. That sounds like a great idea. I am dreading Christmas cause my MIL has a big party but I so don't want to go there at all! She already called DH on his mobile (so I had no choice in the matter) and decided who is buying for who this year. She never calls me always DH, and when she calls she never asks about Madi either. I could talk all day about my MIL

Sarah, Iris looks so adorable in the tutu pic, what a cutie!

Def, I hope D is better soon, poor little chicken! That's great A is rolling good now. I put my mesh dummy feeder in the dishwasher after I clean it under the tap. I bought the sassy one with the refills so if it gets to yuckie I can just chuck the mesh bag out.

I have finally organised Madi's christening, I am really excited about it now. She has the cutest dress just need to get some shoes maybe a sandal cause it's in november. We have hired a room at a restaurant and will have a nice lunch. I am using the top tier of my wedding cake for her christening cake. It is covered in pink, white and yellow hand made sugar frangipanis, I also bought some butterflies from Spotlight to stick on top too. Just need to post my invites and attend a church class?! DH is not happy about that, don't know what it's all about either.

Hey all! Just a quicky from me, getting ready to go back in to the city to see Lana, yay! She is making me all jealous with her jetsetting lifestyle... I came home and said to DH, "I think I need a holiday to Sydney!" his answer: "oh yeah..." but I'm sure he wouldn't mind, as long as I save up the money myself, and then he can spend the entire time eating mushrooms (I'm allergic, he can't even cook them in the house when I'm home) and playing computer games :p

Lana is a bit too trustworthy for my liking though, wouldn't even give me a hint as to who her Kris Kringle swapper is! ;) I was being cheeky and asking :o

Oh, and we took some photos for you Hollie, I'll shrink 'em a bit and email them to you!

the christening/wedding cake sounds beautiful! i love those flowers!

Lana is a bit too trustworthy for my liking though, wouldn't even give me a hint as to who her Kris Kringle swapper is! ;)

 nice try gin.

well D is a little better so i'll just keep an eye on her. she threw a massive tanty at the chemist this morning.. she wanted a freddo so i bought it then she didnt want that she wanted a crunchie.. i thought bugger this we're leaving.. anyway she didnt want to.. she threw herself on the floor.. i had to drag her out while carrying A and my purse keys & medicine.. mustve been one hellova sight!! haha she was still screaming when we got home!

sarah not sure.. actually i think i got it cheap too. i paid $30 something all up.. tutu, hair clips & postage. oops im whinging for nothing! lol

mel i'd say im drinking minimum 2litres from 6pm ish till bed. i do drink through the day too but not as much. so maybe it just catches up with me..

I put my mesh dummy feeder in the dishwasher after I clean it under the tap. I bought the sassy one with the refills so if it gets to yuckie I can just chuck the mesh bag out.

Hey Nic I have that one aswell, gotta love the refills....I just replaced my first one. I have to buy a new dummy feeder cause i put the pieces in the steriliser and sort of melted the bit that has the water in it.Whooops!!!

Defaipe its a pack of 4 refills........

Def, I bought mine in Target, it is the Sassy brand, like Kel said you buy a 4 pack of refills for it. If you can't find them I can send one over for you?

Kel, do you think it's ok to wash it in the dishwasher? Or should I be sterilising it too?

On the topic of sterilising when should we stop doing this? I am happy to keep going with it but was just wonder at what age do you stop sterilising bottles? I have an avent microwave steriliser, so I just wash her bottles in the dishwasher then pop them in the steriliser - is it ok to wash her bottles in the dishwasher?

With her plastic bowls and spoons I also just pop these in the dishwasher - is that safe? I don't sterilise these.

Also, Madi hates drinking water. I get her day care teacher to try it every day with her meals. I have tried 100ml of cooled boiled water mixed with 100ml of dilute baby juice but she still won't take it. I just use the same bottle of water all day for her to keep trying, she will take one sip of it and then screw her face up then she refuses her soy milk 'cause she thinks it's water. Any suggestions? Is it a worry that she won't take water?

Also, with her formula she is currently on the 'birth to 6 month' tin of S26 Soy, should I upgrade her to the '6 month' tin. She still only drinks at a 4 month old level - 180ml bottles but usually only drinks 100ml at each feed and has 4 feeds a day. So Madi doesn't drink much at all. I am really really worried now 'cause she is only getting 400ml of fluid a day, but she does drink through the night still so she would be getting 500ml - 600ml in a 24 hour period.

Sorry for all the questions!!

Cooper is crawling!!!!:smiliedance::smiliedance: He started today! He can go anywhere he wants to! He turned 7mths today! Just thought i tell you! I have it on video so im going to try and work out how to put it on the computer so i can show off!!!

Anyway about the sassy thing, aren't they great? I have a sassy one and i also have a tommee tippee one too. He eats 2 pears a day in his. That's all he likes! I have tried bannana, watermelon, grapes but he didn't like any of it. I didn't know you could get refills! I will have to have a look on thursday

kel- i think you sent cyber germs cause jaxon has gasto and spewing last night. He as good as gold today so im hoping that maybe it was something he ate and it's not catchy. Hey Nic I wouldn't worry about sterilising the dummy feeder nahhh, im still sterilising bottles but slowly easing off it cause occasionally I may grab a washed teat from the dish drainer...and use it without sterilising *owhhh tut tut says the health nurse* I think by the end of the year we will be over it...

I don't sterlise bowls or spoons  does anybody???

Noahs not much of a water drinker, he attempts, gets it everywhere lol, I think keep offering it to her she will get used to it...thats what I do with N.

I would move her up to the 6 mths tin...just the normal progression....

The CHN said to me that solids at this age are just to explore and have fun and try new things...She said its important that they still drink their required amount of milk and if this amount is starting to reduce then less solids should be given...I think she said up til around 10-12 mths???????then foods become the main nutrition..
Im not sure of how much milk they should be having at the moment....does any one know???

Sara hehe I think I sent them to you (germs that is) Who's a big boy then??? well done Cooper!!!:yelclap: Happy 7 Months

well i was told at preggo classes and in the hospital not to worry about sterilising, hot soapy water is fine. Harps won't take a bottle anymore but i would just wash then rinse in really hot water, he never got sick.

bowls and spoons, same as above. i do his then our normal dishes...

Well done on Cooper crawlimg!

I am waiting for Harper to start crawling (or sitting up).
Monty seams to follow a couple of hours after anything he does.

No talking or anything moumental here!

I have been naughty this month and done Toadlets jabs late. Booked in tomorrow to do them. He's 7 months on Saturday!

I bought new exciting jars of food today.

Kel, I put toadlets food in a small bottle so I can warm it up. I just pour boiling water over the spoon.
They put so much rubbish and stuff in their mouth at this age I hardly think a couple of minor germs will harm them.

Anyone... when you feed them banana, how much of abanana do you give them?
Toadlet had his first banana the other day and ate a whole one after 250mls milk.

Sarah, I forgot to mention, I LOVED your mums creations. Very funky punky.

Fantastic news about nt going back to work!! YIPPEE.
Want to come work for me? I might need help once I've got my business up and running. Or you can do some prgramming for me.

Frog is looking for a job in Melbourne just so we can ive in a less expensive place but still in the city.
He was asked if he owuld consider Brisvegas today and I said " What about climbing? Not sure if they have a gym there".
he said "well. we aren't moving to Melbourne just for the climbing gym".

IS HE JOKING??? What other reason than Australia's newest and biggest climbing gym???? Of course that's why I want to move to Melbourne.

Yay Sarah!!! That is fantabulous news, those little kids of yours are very lucky (and so are you :D ;) )

Hollie, just sent you an email with lots of attachments, hope they're not too big, I got carried away :o

Congratulations Cooper the big crawling boy! That is very clever, all these advanced babies!

Monty, why don't you come and lie in the corner with Kes and drool for a while, you'd be great mates ;)

Carrie-good to hear about the car, it will be very handy while you get the longer term option sorted out... love the photo of your fluffy bum girl!

A bit annoyed, my beastly camera blurred Lana, some gorgeous shots of Kes doing his best to charm her in to taking him with her... ah well, will still upload some as they really are a cute pair!

Mel-a late 'congrats' on the new house! Sounds nice after all your renovations to be able to just enjoy it.

As for germs, I figure once they start eating solids they'd get stray germs anyway (not that I've ever sterilised anything for my lad, just a bit of boiled water, some detergent)

Off to set up a photobucket account, great idea Sarah!

Thanks for all the congrats on cooper! Im excited but im scared cause i know what he can get into!

i don't sterilise his bottles but he only uses them every couple of days anyway.

nemo- i love that idea about the photos! Count me in! that's a really great idea.Congrat's on being able to stay home for another year :smiliedance:That's great! I couldn't imagine being away from them all day!

kel & carrie- It wasn't me that brought it. I emailed them the other day to see if i could make my own trial pack up and she yeah so i sent her what i had in mind but she still hasn't got back to me. Im hoping that tomorrow i will hear from her cause im hanging out!

little_toad- do you do rock climbing ! No way would you get me to do that!! Im the laziest person in the world! I hate walking out to my clothes line and back!!!

kel- I haven't turned the seat around and im holding off for as long as possible. I think keeping them the way it is now is the safest option. I turned cooper when he was around 7mths but that was before i came on bubhub and i didn't know the risks. So i will be keeping him this way for as long as possible.

little_toad- Do you give the banana straight to him or do you mash it up?
I always panic thinking that he is going to choke and i won't know what to do. I was like it with jaxon too.

Here's my question for the day...What do you give your baby's for snacks? What can i give him? He has arrowroots but i panic and end up taking them off him.

I am glad to say that Ellery slept through from 5.30pm - just in there chatting to herself, but normal time. She was a tired chicken!
I bought her a pair of swimmers/sun shirty thing yesterday. It is just too damn cute. It is pink with pretty daisies on the sleeves etc... Also fianlly saw the swimming nappies.... So, getting organised for lessons and/or our new place with a pool.

Hollie - having come from Brisvegas myself before moving to the coast - there are climbing places there. The photos Kellie showed you are of Kangaroo Point (It is on the main river overlooking the city) - but it is outside - doing the real deal (not sure if you do that, or just the indoors stuff). I know that there are some in Brisbane, but they may not be hard enough etc...... I enjoyed living in Brisbane - and it isn't as busy as sydney/melbourne, but has some great things there..... I enjoy the gold coast now - but took me a while to get use to it. Different to a major city..... It's only 1 hour to and from bris to the gcoast....

Defaipe - forgot to say yesterday, with the drinking of water - and I don't mean to be scarey, but sometimes that can mean that your suger levels aren't right. I think, if you are still drinking 2 litres of water before bed - might be best to visit the Dr in the near future? Are you feeling well otherwise and no other physical symptoms of problems? Hope your doing well though....

Kel - I haven't turned ellery yet. I've heard that you can do it when they're 8kg, but i will probably wait until 12 months. I think that's when I've been told is the best time - but I am no guru that's for sure.

Jaxcoop - with banana, I always mash it with a fork before giving it to E. Also, I give her the baby rusks as she chokes on arrowroot and it scares me a bit... The rusks don't break off - they are too damn hard.. I just got them from Coles and they are organic ones....

Bluegin - will pm you for the photobucket...

Well, Ellery is calling out for some attention. Will try and string her out until 6am - little chatter box that she is.....

By the way - got the bldg & pest inspection at the new place tomorrow - so :fingerscrossed: all goes well. It isn't until 3pm i the arvo - but still exciting. No major plans for today - very foggy outside... Might be a hot one coming.

Hopefuly will be here by the end of the week.

Good morning ... just quickly as we have a CHN appt this morning & have to leave at 10 & I haven't had a shower, packed bags or got Ella dressed yet ...

Kellie - We turned our carseat around a couple of months ago - our carseat can be turned from 8kg I think it was. And it can be either forward or rear facing to 12kg then it has to be forward facing to 18kg. I think it depends on the carseat. I am glad Ella hit 8kg pretty quickly! Glad you have tried out the peapods for night as even though I have the night boosters I haven't tried yet! I guess that means we can sa good bye to sposies every 3rd night now! YAY! Oh & Sandmans are awesome. You will have ot send a pic of Elijah as a surfie dude! How cute. Oh and I asked about the cord storage but my ob said maybe in a few yrs when it is perfected but not now, plus they don't do it anyway.

LT - What food does Monty eat? I bought a 4 pack of jars which included fruit & museli, apple custard or something, beef & vegies, spring lamb & vegies and she refused to eat the lamb & vegies - haven't tried the beef and vegies yet. We cooked some pork the other night, potato and peas too & froze them but she didn't eat much yesterday. She just wanted to drink water from a bottle instead of eat! Except when it is fruit & cereal or yoghurt & fruit or anything fruity she scoffs it down.

With the banana - Ella is actually eating some now in her meshy thing for brekky - she has eaten about half a banana then ate the top of the thing instead lol. Although the other day she ate a bit in that then ate the rest mashed up in a bowl with formula. She is due for a bottle soon.

Yeah! Move to Brisvegas!! There is a climbing gym in Fortitude Valley and a lot of people climb up & down Kangaroo Pt cliffs! It always looks great at night time too. Then I can babysit the Toadlet for you lol. Wish I could watch vid on my computer +rolly eyes+

Oh & Hollie - With defaipe's name ... think of middle names ...

STERILISING - You can stop sterilising bottles at 6 mths! As for bowls & spoons etc you don't need to bother. I think in a couple of yrs no one will sterilise as there is already a thing about being too clean now. I personally haven't stopped sterilising bottles as my skin is sensitive to hot water so I'd rather wash them in warm water, rinse in cold then sterilise. Otherwise you have to wash in hot water and rinse in straight hot water.

Ok really gtg ...

Oh PS Sarah that is great about work - I am prob going to resign mine anytime as $ not worth it however mine was unpaid. Congrats!

Bye!

PPS LL - The invites & champagne label are gorgeous!!

Hollie, yeah come to Brisvegas! That would be awesome have toadlet up here. I think you are going to have to have a house in all states so everyone can share you around - hehe. I'll work for you too Hollie, I would love to quit my job but really need the money! Oh also Madi eats a whole banana every day - yes that's right a whole banana straight after a bottle too! Piggy Wiggy

Sarah, you lucky thing! Congrats on getting another year off. That's is awesome, so jealous you! That's great your work arranges day care and you got paid maternity leave - WT? That's so great!

Def, I was trying to figure out your name too - hehe. Now I get it -

what fruits are the bubs eating? A will tolerate fruit custards but maybe only eating 1/5th of the jar. she loves bananas in the meshy thing, to put other fruits in the meshy thing do i boil them first to soften?

she likes the a few jars, chicken & corn.. chicken noodles.. lamb n veg.. but still only eats a 1/4.. i need to make some and freeze it..

Hollie, you're a bit popular 'round these parts aren't! LOL, but if you're eventually planning a move to Tas, then Melbourne is the ONLY logical choice for you  :D ;) (sorry Sarah, the campaign continues...) As for climbing, I'm not really up for it at present, apart from being a big hieffer... I am waiting for the stupid physio to make me an appointment as the old SPD is still giving me grief. BUT, I would happily come along as your personal photographer/babysitter! LOL, the boys can entertain me at ground level.

LL-the invite and label are fantastic, really good job! I love the eyes on the invite, I was saying to Lana that he reminds me of "Snap" from the Rice Bubbles box! LOL, such a cutey pie!

My poor lad still hasn't had a crack at solids, I really want him to be totally healthy when I start so I can see if anything 'odd' happens, but this cold has really hit him for six! I got the Fess stuff yesterday, and I think the saline is helping, but the aspirator is a no go, he goes nuts and turns purple with screaming when we try it, and nothing comes out anyway! I think it's all right back in his sinuses. Poor kid. Might be time for a trip to the doc to rule out any infections.
I am however glad to say that he is back to eating a little more, as I think he has realised it's not my boobs making him sore but something else (ie his nose is blocked so he can't breathe and eat!)

M2B
03-10-2007, 08:59 AM
Oh Gin, poor Kes. I would take him to the doc to just to rule out an infection. When I took Madi to the doc with running nose and cold symptons I found out that 'cause it kept linguring on it cause an ear infection. The doc gave her amoxil and it cleared things up within the week. I hope he is feeling better soon. Big hugs for Kes!

Def, Madi is a little bit of a pig and eats anything that I give her. With fruit she'll eat a whole banana, apple, pear, grapes, mandarin, mango and apricots. I just cut the fruit up in small pieces and put them in the mesh dummy. Because she loves banana so much I sometimes just mash it with a fork and feed it to her, with a few lumps in it - she loves lumpy food.

I haven't tried meats yet, but will get the same jars as Hollie and do meat and veg that way. Other then that she eats all veges from the jar - I just buy the Heinz Organic ones. For snacks I just give her the milk arrow bickies, teething rusks, fruit in mesh dummy or jar fruit. Plus when we have dinner with have started letting her try the foods we eat - just mash a spoon full and give it to her. I am going to try sandwiches too, just some vegemite on wholemeal bread. Apparently all the bubs in her nursery group eat them so I thought I would give it a go as she cries when she see them eating them.

Kel, I got the highchair, it's in the car now. I can't wait to get home from work and try it out. It looks really good, very impressed with it.

Ah, that's a good point Nic about his ears! I think I'll make an appointment if he's still sick later on.

A quick note with the vegemite, our local nutritionist said that it is too salty and can make a lot of work for a baby's kidneys, I think she advised waiting till they were toddlers and drinking a lot more water. Though, advice does vary on every topic, LOL

re the mesh thing, i have put banana and also mandarin pieces (just fresh, don't boil them). i've chopped up some banana and put it in the freezer to try when his teeth hurt.

Kel thats great about the peapods. whats the night booster like?

Sarah thats great news re work! i am due back in may but i am going to apply for more (unpaid) leave. i hope to be preggo again by march anyway lol. and if i can't extend my leave, i will resign then just see if they'll take me back when the bubs are bigger.
tho some days i think back on how easy life was in my cushy desk job for 7.5 hours a day. i don't think anyone can prepare you for how full-on it is being a mum!!

well the sun is shining in perth today (but not lovely 30 degrees like some of ya!) and i've got washing to put out and another load in the machine... then i really gotta finish the junk room coz Al's home tonight and i don't want the house to be a sty when he gets in. not quite sure how i'm going to get all the storage stuff back in there? might have to go get more tubs. i already have 4 tubs of Harps' too-small clothes plus another big pile to pack away!!

We could create our own state where we could all live.
We could call it State of Insanity.

i';m coming t Melbourne!!
Buegin, I'll be there on Saturday 13th till Sunday afternoon. Climbing climbing climbing!!!!
Want to catch up?

LL, the timmy tiptoes are very large.

Toadlet is now officially a tummy sleeper. he keeps rolling over so this afternoon I just put him on his tum tum.

had his jabs, getting a key for the swimming pool in our complex so I dont have to walk in the heat to the city pool.

Sarah, you aren't fat.. more squishaliscious.

With food, i try to give toadlet things that dont have milk in them so I dont freak out if he pukes on me or puts his sticky mitts all over my face.
he loves meats and fruits.

Gin, I haven't heard not to give them vegemite. I was told to give it - so many different views! I better check first though. Hope Kes has been better this arvo

LL, that's so funny

Hollie, Madi is a tummy sleeper too. I go in and turn her on her back but as soon as I do that she rolls on her tummy again. I freak out cause our angel care monitor has been playing up, think it's broken. But she sleeps better on her tummy that's for sure.

We don't want to give Madi her dummy anymore cause she wakes up in the night trying to find it after she spits it out. Any suggestions would be great to help abolish it!?

Well I am finishing up at work so I will not be on tomorrow, will catch up on Friday. Hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow!

Take Care

Sorry I haven't posted in ages, you probably thought I had dropped off the face of the earth. I haven't even had a chance to read all the posts yet. There is over 30 pages I have to read to catch up. You have all been busy chatting.

I'll start by saying I have been busy outside gardening etc, seen as the weather has been so beautiful.

happybirthday To my little girl for tomorrow she is 7mths old.

Q Did or Does anyone suffer from Post Natal Depression brought on by this baby or from a previous baby?:crying:

How are you ladies & bubs all doing?

Ta-leah had Clinic yesterday & she now weighs 7780gm, Height 67cm, Head circ 43cm. She was also given a fluro pink sipee cup. Ta-leah can also now sit up by herself.

So how are everyone elses bubs doing, stat wise & milestones?

Hi:wave: I have only just joined this group recently so i haven't meet you! My names sara and i have 2 boys aged 4 and cooper is 7mths yesterday!

To answer your questions i only suffered it for a couple of weeks but i don't really class it as depression, even though the nurse kept telling me. I did one of those quiz things and i got a really high score so they were worried, but im a ll good now.

What's the santa shopper thingy? Am i missing out on something  Stat wise im not sure cause he only goes to the clinic every couple of months! But yesterday he started to crawl and he has also started to say mama (still not sure on that one!) He isn't sitting up yet, he can only do it for a couple of secs cause he just wants to run off!!

Anyway ladies if i get time later i will do a long post but just wanted to say hi to TenAndTa:wave:

Hello Sara & boys, nice to meet you. Thanks for replying to my post.
Sorry to hear you suffered from PND. The reason I asked was, I haven't had PND. But I have been really depressed the last month or so, and was wondering can PND come on this late, or is it just depression in general? Sorry to bore everyone with that.

The secret Santa: Lana organized awhile ago. She put all our names in a hat & pulled them out we all got paired with someone to buy their baby a present & post it to them before the 1st December.

Wow...... your little boy Cooper has started to crawl. Oh Oh you'll have to start putting things out of reach now, then again you have a 4yr old so everything is probably already baby proofed.

Oh well once again nice to meet you.

HI KELLIEEEEE ... I"M HERE BUT NOT FOR LONG!

I agree with Nic - Hollie you should move up here & we can all share you hahaha ... Don't ya luv being luv'd!

Seriously Hollie if you move up here I would work for you too ... I have PA/secretarial skills & addicted to nappies! I am already promoting you to the clinic! lol.

Defaipe - Ella doesn't like meat & veg! Fussy already. As for fruit she loves banana, has tried manderine, strawberry, avocado, I have apples here to try but for jarred fruit she has had fruit museli, apple, apple banana & berries, apple & mango, pear, apple & pear, she loves all of them.

Gin - How is Kes going? Poor little bub! Did you see Lana again today or was that yesterday? Looking fwd to the pics.

Nic - I wouldn't try vegemite yet (as much as i am looking fwd to giving it to E as it's my fave!) as it is packed with sodium. I would wait til 12 mths for that one. As for abolishing the dummy - best thing we ever did - she wouldn't even take the thermometre one! I did it for the afternoon nap to start with & did it by controlled crying method but soon figured out it got worse when I went in to resettle her so ended up letting her cry it out (unless of course she was in a real state). She will still have a bit of a winge but not long. Been sleeping through the night ever since +thumbs up here+.

Hollie - E is asleep on her belly tonight too lol. Not much we can do now is there? Dave is worried though ... he still thinks she's a new born - he's so careful with her.

I like 'squishaliscious' (sp??). I am gonna say that now instead of I'm Fat. LOL.

Ten&Ta - Hello! Wondered where you had been. Sounds like T is doing well. I haven't done my SS shopping yet. I cr@p that reminded me - I was meant to organise that for MG on Tues! OOPS! I know what I am getting ... mine now (nearly typed the name!). It is useful & beautiful :)

As for everyone else - we are giving my parents, sister, MIL, FIL framed pics of E from those prof pics. Just getting Crazy Clarks frames. My bro I have no idea & it's hard always with him as his b'day is 1st Dec too. Won't post what I am getting my niece & nephew & little step-sis & bro (new this yr!) as my SIL chats on here & may see and I have no idea with the steps (his dad's 'new family').

Oh, Ella's CHN appt went well today. They are not meant to have skim milk - they are meant to have full fat milk. And even though I am just putting a bit on her weetbix she said not to until 9 mths, especially considering she seems to have a slight intolerance to the baby yoghurt (which she said is fine & better to give her the natural anyway cos it has no added sweetnersor sugars). I didn't mention Dave is lactose intolerant ... Anyway she said it's only about 6 weeks anyway and when that time comes try her on cheese sticks & things as they love those. Except on this sheet my friend got from her GP it had lists of foods they can have at what age & it had cottage cheese, philly cheese etc at 6 mths. Maybe that's different?

She is 9.060kg (she was 8.7kg 3 weeks ago!) and 67 cm (was 66cm 3 weeks ago). She has a tooth & second is cutting - not that she ever lets you look in there with her tongue hanging out! She plotted her on the % chart but can't remember what it was. She is expecting her weight to plateau now as she grew so quickly. my Niece is only 12kg at 2 1/2 yrs so hopefully it will plateau. Prob why I don't think lily is that heavy lol. She was impressed with the mcn (bumgenius) E had on as she hadn't seen them before. I told her about LT starting Krap Katchers and she was asking me to get some info etc & bring it in so she can talk about the option at the New parents groups instead of all the normal boring topics! She was very impressed with them & said Ella's bum looks like it agrees! Of course I changed E as we walked out the door & when she strippedher off she'd done a poo! I think she was impressed it didn't stink too haha.

After that I went past home & grabbed our swimmers, went to the shops to go to the bank & get a pile of new bibs in Target while it's 20% off (30 tomorrow!!) then went to a friend's. By the time we got motivated to go to the pool to go swimming(indoors & heated) it was 2pm or so and when we got in there she said the kids pool has closed, the others are about to be used for squad training & swimming lessons so we couldn't go in! So we decided to go to one near me but it is outdoors (cool kids pools etc though) and it was freezing! Ella's friend didn't complain at all as she has been in water that cold a couple of times before but Ella did but she got used to it & was going under heaps. It's so cute as now when I say "1 2 3 Under (I take a breath)" she closes her eyes & closes her mouth as she knows what it means.

Dave just got home! We had dinner late and then about 8.30(?) he cut off some of the silverside we'd cooked for dinner & put it in the blender to make some for Ella & I hear this clatter & bang & there was meat everywhere - the jug had flown off the base! I had to wash the coasters, all the cuttlery hanging on the stand, re-wash the dishes I did before dinner ... but he was sh!tty & was wiping it & I was standing there waiting to do the dishes & he was asking what the f**k was I doing just standing there & I said waiting to do all the dishes & he is like 'well i was gonna do them why don't you take the f**king rubbish down or something' ...rah rah rah ... then he threw the dish cloth in the sink & I did the dishes & he was complaining I hadn't tipped the leftovers in the bin etc & I was like well I was going to when I was rinsing dishes etc to wash! Then he said well I'm going to test these trailor lights and I eventualy got out of him he had to go to a mate's to test on his dad's trailor ... why didn't he tell me before?

Anyway I cleaned the kitchen even dried dishes & put away as there were too many pots & pans to fit in the dishrack, hung washing, done another load, did my cleaning (except E's room obviously & floors) as I have MG here tomorrow for lunch before he came home. I don't know why he is p!ssed at me I was having a laugh about the whole thing! It wasn't my fault & since when does he voluntarily do dishes apart from when we have visitors to make himself look good lol.

OMG this is soooooooooooooooooooo looooooooonnnnnngggggg!

I really hope I get a BH award this yr lol ... is there one for longest posts?

Luv ya's Good night don't let the bed bugs bite.

PS I got fluffy mail today from minicuteture! She sent it express & I ordered it yesterday - the vintage babe one. It is so gorgeous! She sent a free mag with it too. I want more!

nearly ended up back at the drs today.. D still isnt 100%. i think im going to just take her down in the morning.. it'll be a week tomorrow since she started antibiotics. i dont think its her tonsils anymore.. she just keeps getting temperatures and spends half the day wanting to sleep on me.. i was feeding A to sleep tonight with D across my thighs nodding off. poor little chicken..

i managed to make it to the shops earlier tho.. picked up a layby. dad had bought M a booster for their car coz mum sometimes drops M off at kindy and M complains of not being able to see out the window lol.. anyway changed it over today and got one thats like a maxirider but cheaper version. looks pretty good tho and only $80 from kmart!

TenAndTa~ PND can come on straight after bubs is born, or it can take a while to appear, within the first two yrs of bubs life thats classified as PND
MY sisters son was about 18mths when it hit her and she had a mini breakdown

Mine came on with ds straight after the birth and lasted over two yrs off and on

I went for along time thinking "is this PND? no its just life blah blah blah I can handle it etc etc"
finally it got too much and I sought help

I have been out of the 'blue' so to speak for about 13mths now and am so glad I sought help.

dont worry Defaipe I have been pronouncing it with a lovely french lilt so its sounds all swishy dishy!

Hi all
Had a fairly busy day yesterday. Ellery was still super clingy - those damn teeth still haven't broken through, poor chicken.... Then I had to quickly go to the real estate to drop off some papers (about 15 min walk) as our house went unconditional yesterday.:smiliedance: Still not exactly sure when it will settle. we have a loong contract - but that's because the buyer wasn't sure when the $$'s would be available, we are hoping for november but have to wait and see. Then we can get our new place organised and tell the sellers there too.

It was quite warm here yesterday - over 30 i think, and today is going to be similar. How did everyone cope in sydney?

I have the buidling & pest inspection for the new place this afternoon. Hopefully that will be fine. I don't expect any majors as the owner is a builder and the house is under 2 years old.

Ten&ta - with PND, I knew that something wasn't right from the beginning. I got the courage to deal with it when e was about 4 months old - went to the Dr and SOOOO glad that I did. I feel way better now. I thought it was just the blues and getting use to it all, coping with the caesar and a difficult baby with reflux... I wish i had gone earlier though - life would have been much easier for me - and DP and my mum too. (*along with ellery)

Defaipe - hope D gets better soon. Sounds like it hasn't been an easy couple of weeks with illness.... Sending big :babydust2: your way.. I said it how it was meant - but i must say "Deaf Ape" gave me a chuckle and i can see why others saw it like that.....

Kellie - sorry you didn't have many of us to chat to last night. I am in bed early and up early - different to alot of you all....

Carrie - glad E's appointment went well and she is thriving along nicely.... I am due to go back to clinic next week- but may leave it another as she is going pretty good. that only makes it 3 weeks since the last visit - so not ages or anything.
Sorry to hear about the nightmare with the pool being closed - then to come home to D being a little cranky.... You were on a mission though and got heaps done once back in the place. Well Done...:yelclap:

Miss Ellery is calling out - so will go and get her bottle now... Chat later ladies

PS - Lana - how's the holidy going? Hope you're still having a great time with the girls....

Thank-you everyone that replied to the PND Question. I think I had been supressing the depression for quite some time saying that I have a really well behaved baby compared to some so what do I have to be depressed about. But then it all kind of got on top of me, I was not sleeping well at night, worrying etc then this last month I have been really tired, depressed & feel that I had been lazy as I didn't want to do anything eg. Just cooking tea was becoming such a chore. Especially seen as I had gotten to the stage that I wasn't really eating anything anyway. I just wanted to escape my life. So I went to stay with my parents for a week, thinking that would help, as I would have help & I didn't have to cook either. It did help, but when I came home I was all depressed again. Plus DH seemed to be distancing himself from me & bub. He wasn't helping me with her & was always going out with his mates & I guess I was feeling abandoned. But too cut a long story short we had a very long talk on the weekend & I am feeling much better. DH & I are both working together now with ta-leah, he's promised to stay home & help out.

DH has also started the Celebrity Slim diet this week, so that has given me something to focus on as well, helping him & cooking his special dinner meal.

Sorry everyone for this very boring me post. But I'm sure some of you can relate to what I have been talking about.
Thanks for your help & support too.:D

Hello everyone  so sorry I haven't been on here for a while, and now there's so many pages to read. Cooper & I have been good we've just been busy.

Anyway Cooper has seemed to have found his voice and screams all the time. It's not a in pain scream. It's rathering embarrassing especially if your out. Does anyone else bub scream??

Also here's a few pics of Cooper. Growing up way to quickly.

Hi Emma80,
Yes as soon as I talked to Dh I felt alot better & he agreed he's been slack & had noticed that I wasn't myself & just thought it was because we were both tired due to Ta-leah waking up during the night now which she never used to.
She doesn't go to bed until late either.

Ta-leah screams with excitement & she does a kind of panting noise. She also screws up her nose & face & makes these funny sniffley snorty noises espeially when she sees one of our 3 cats. She loves playing with the cats, she gets so excited.

Coopers photos are so cute!!! I especially love the last photo, he has such beautiful blue expressive eyes. Our baby's are growing up so fast they don't even look like baby's but more like little kids now, as they take on more & more of our features as parents.

Hi everyone

Had MG here today & had chicken & salads for lunch, pav for dessert. It was very hot here but in the arvo a nice breeze was coming through the front doors.

I am soooo depressed about $$ at the moment. Dave got a cr@ppy pay again, I have just requested a 2 wk extension on my mobile bill, paid the home phone & miscalculated everything for the week as I forgot about medibank coming out! So that is like $100 out! So after rent, medibank & swimming lessons we only have like $70 left for the week. That's not even including groceries. Then electricity is due next week, we have specialist appointments coming up too.

I am just gonna go curl up & die ...

Well, the building & Pest inspection went well. No dramas at all really. The owner is the builder - so it is built very well, and has added extra's in the stabilisation etc... so all is good... Still waiting to hear of an exact date of settlement - slightly annoying but not much we can do.

Ellery was a little better today. I can still see a white dot on her gum - but doesn't seem to have poked through anymore.. Poor sweety - she chews on everything and drools everywhere.

Carrie - sorry to hear you're having a difficult time at the moment with $$'s... Everything always seems to hit at once - damn murphy's law, but not a nice one at that. Hope things improve soon.

Kellie - glad Elijah had a nice time with his friend over especially since he doesn't get to see him as much anymore.... It was hot here today - cooled down alot tonight. Predicitons are that tomorrows going to be similar.

Tenille - just be aware of how you're truely feeling. I always pushed aside my own needs, and although I often spoke to DP and felt alot better, I still wasn't quite right. Having gone to the Dr and got some 'serious' help with PND - my life has improved two fold. Glad you are ok in yourself though and that your DH is understanding as well.

Emma - great to see you again. That cooper is growing into a true little man hey!
You're not alone with the screaming (and embarassment) Ellery squeels like a dolphin and people think she's crying, but she is actually very happy when doing it. Found it particularly embarassing in David Jones one day - it was super quiet in there, and all you could hear was Little Miss E - voicing her opinion...:o

Michaela - hope you enjoyed your sleep in. I am off to bed soon - probably another 5am start in the morning.

:D

YEP - up at 5am... Ellery hadn't woken, but DP was up for work and for some reason i stirred. E woke around 5.10am (usual time) and she's in there talking to herself.

Was quiet in here last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more day till the weekend - hope everyones looking forward to it. I have my mums 59th birthday on sunday - so going up there (about 1 hour away) and having lunch out somewhere... Should be nice, although DP's not overly thrilled as Bathurst is on. He isn't SUPER INTO IT, but enjoys watching the races... Ah well, i am sure they'll have it on where we are going. (hope so anyway.... )

No major plans for the day - DP has half day today, so probably have to go to the bank and get some forms/documents signed... have to find a JP - so easier to just go into the bank. Usually one in there. Our bank's at pac.fair - so might be able to have a browse and waste some time.

carrie your lunch sounds yum! i wanna have MG with you
im with ya on the money.. the receptionist at dps work is on holidays and she does the pays and what not so for the next 2 or 3 weeks they're on a set monday - friday pay. no weekends, overtime or RDO's. we're down $650 a fortnight!! i was so annoyed! thankfully he'll get a catch up pay a couple of weeks before the girls (& his) birthday party.. but until then im struggling!

emma cooper is just a 'little boy' now isnt he! as for the screaming.. my sisters twins did that.. well actually they still do! haha my gosh the pitches those boys can hit. they used to be worse.. you would literally go deaf at the time. it blocked out every other noise.

i think M might be getting the bug D had(not the tonsillitis part obviously haha). she's been running a temp since last night.. and is still in bed now..
im not feeling too great myself but im trying to shake it off!!
well D is finally better. she is also fully toilet trained! she's been dry the last couple of nights and is out o nappies for day naps. so im not even going to bother with nappies at night either! ofcourse she'd do this just before i get my MCN's! lol only j/k! thing is she has a tiny waist so with no nappies her pants are falling off her.. she's back in a 0. she was 'just' in a one in pants with ajdustable waists but even they wont work lol.

love the nappies Kel! btw what does a soaker do? loving the elmo aio. haha. cute!

i think i might have been ripped off on ebay.. i sold some sandals last week and she said she had made the payment friday but it hasnt come into my bank yet.. thing is i had sold a couple of things so i just believed her and sent them all friday.. it was only $20 but thats not the point.. surely it doesnt take a week to get into my bank?! plus $20 is a peapod! im peeved!

Mel thanks for the advice & i will definately watch out for myself now. I told DH if I was still feeling depressed that I would go & get help either from a doctor or psychologist. My Mum & dad both suffer from Depression. Dad had a very stressful job & basically had a breakdown about 4-5yrs ago & he Quit his job as he just couldn't face going back there. Mum was stressed out with the total change in dad. So they both are on anti-depressents & seeing a psychologist. So I know how depression can affect families etc. I was the one that told my dad he needed to get help, I wrote him a letter as I could see how depressed, suicidal & even grumpy he was. I was just glad he listened & got the help he needed.:gloomy:
