View Full Version : March 2007 mummies #8
Hey Girls,
Back at work today, so I get to hang out on here! LOL!
Carrie, thanks for the heads up on vegemite! I am going to check it out with my MIL - she is a CHN. It's so weird to hear that cause all the bubs in the nursery group eat it and I was brought up on it from a young age, mum said she use to put it in out milk?! But things change all the time these days. Your lunch did sounds very nice too. Did Ella get to try the silverside after all that? How did she go with it? Have you used jar meats yet? I wanna try this weekend. Thanks for the tips with the dummy our aim is to try first up on Saturday morning so fingers crossed we can get rid of it, she woke up 5 times last night for it. We need her to sleep through cause we need sleep to, working full time and been a mummy is very tiring! Hope it works!
Welcome back Emma! Cooper sure is growing up so fast. He looks so cute and happy!
Def, glad D is feeling better now, I hope M doesn't get too sick now that is not good to hear. I hope you all feel better soon! Oh you have all the birthday's coming up soon, that would be so much fun organising everything! Sucks about DP pay though, I would be peeved too! You should email the person you sold the stuff to and get her to double check that she paid you, I would get onto it straight away. Otherwise it might keep happening to other people, hope you get your money!
Tenille, I hope things work out for you. It must be hard to go through PND, hopefully speaking to a professional will start you off in the right direction. All the best with it!
Mel, have fun at your mum's birthday, sounds good! Hope there will be a TV for your DP. Sounds all exciting now with the house, hopefully you get your date sooon!
Better do some work and will pop back in soon!

ahhh bugger I just typed heaps and pressed the wrong button and wiped it all....
Well start again....
Good morning Ladies
We are having a easy day today as Elijah has a disco tonight at preschool, that will be fun!! sometimes I think he has a better social life than I. LOL
I'm awaiting my order today of my mary kay goodies that I ordered at the hand/foot massage party I went to a few weeks ago...I've let Dh know his up for foot massage duty tonight hehehe ;)
Yes It was quiet in here last night...i did pop in but didn't post, gosh that's a first LOL what wa everyone up too??? (being nosey again)
Carrie Here's hoping things start to get better in regards to the $$$$...It no fun having to worry about money...try not to let it get you down to much.:hugs:
Mel It great to hear everything is moving along so smoothly with the house...I bet you're getting more excited everyday, beside having to pack of course hehe
Def A soaker is a woolly that goes over your night time nappy, it absorbs moisture-upto 30% of its own weight, gives the feeling of being dry yet repels water, wool acts as an insulator and keeps bubs at an even temp...im sure it does a few more things but I'm still learning about them too, oh and its breathable..
Nic Hello, hows the highchair??? does she fit in it?? Noah looks like he needs a lil booster seat just to prop him up abit...he'll just have to do some growing lol
Tennille thinking of you!!!:hugs:
Lana Are you having fun???? who are you meeting up with today?? Lucky you to meet the girls  How was the lindt cafe *drool*
OK back soon :)
kel, elijahs night out sounds cute! do parents stick around? or is it a drop off kinda thing? i used to love going to the disco nights when i was in primary school
so soakers are a kinda 'must have' item?? to they make bubs sweaty? A has sensitive skin.. i cant even put her in bonds suits or she flares up.. crazy hey.
kel2boys
05-10-2007, 14:27
Def With the disco, the parents hang around...I still would even if we didn't have too. can you imagine, a bag of goodies at the door, glow sticks, loud music and crazy friends running around.....every preschoolers dream
The soakers are essential for night time so I have been told, its just adds extra absorbency. Wool is breathable so I don't think it will sweat.
A must have super sensitive skin to react to a bonds suit sheshhh...... and ive never heard of anyone having reactions to wool??? Do you think she might??? how do test???
:)
Hey Kel, mum couldn't get a highchair in the box so she bought me the display one, after going to 3 kmarts! But it was put together the wrong way, I am waiting for DH to put it together for me on the weekend. I can't wait, it looks really good though!
The disco sounds like fun, I think he has more of a social life then me too! Hope you guys have fun tonight.
Poor A, that's no fun having sensitive skin. Do you use a special cream on her? Madi had really bad skin a few months back and we tried everything but it has calmed down so much now, she only has a mild reaction at times.
Well it's nearly home time and I can't wait to go home! DH has gone to pick Madi up from my Mum's house so I can drive straight home instead of the usually 2 hour drive! I think we might go out for dinner tonight and take Madi on her first dinner date, maybe somewhere close to home incase she starts sceaming or playing up.
Have a great night mummies!

Good afternoon yummy mummies ...
Dave had an RDO today as not much work on atm & (surprise surprise) he went fishing ... at 3.30am! He caught a sand crab but only a small one. YUMMY though! Hopefully we will have for dinner.
Mum came over to watch E's swimming lesson (& talk a zillion photos lol) & after coming home, me having a shower & getting dressed, after E staying asleep in the car then feeding her lunch & a bottle mum, me & Ella went to Botanix for lunch. We browsed around the shops for ages & I found a beautiful outdoor couch/bed/chair thing I want but it is prob soooo exy! Comfy though! I know just where I'd put it too ... ahhh ... dreams ...
I had a club sandwich for lunch with a Corona & lemon and an affagato for dessert ... they are the best there! Tomorrow I am babysitting our niece, Lily in the morning then in the arvo I will clean before Haylie & Mason arrive on Sunday morning. Haylie is shouting me breakfast at Sizzler on Sunday morning when she gets here for letting her stay! YUM!
I am feeling better about money now as Dave spoke to his bro last night (Lily's daddy) & their dad had asked him to work at the art gallery on Sat & Sunday as they have heaps of work on. His dad, and 2 older bros work there full time & lots of $$! And little BIL works there some weekends for extra cashola. Anyway he can't do it so Dave called his dad to see if he could. There is lots of forklift work apparently so if they offer him anything permanent, it is way more money than what he gets now (& he is hardly on the forklifts as he is leading hand) then he will go & do that prob instead. Anyway his dad called today & said he could only work this w/e if he had an ABN so he did this ABN search & he has one from 2000 when he was concreting with his uncle. He is digging around in the paperwork in the junk room now to see if he can find his invoice book as he needs that otherwise he'll get one this afternoon. Anyway so for one weekend it'll be like $400 min!! So if he does that the next few weeks at least we can pay the bills easy, pay off the high chair and go to Hervey Bay at the end of the month! I feel so much better. I told him not to work every weekend though as that's 7 days a week & he works about 12 hour days so he'd be run into the ground.
I also had a great night's sleep - went to bed around 8.15pm-8.30pm, slept til 5.20am when E wanted a bottle & bum change then went back to bed & Dave came home & got her up around 7am and I lay there & read a chapter of Harry Potter. I ams till tired as after a big lunch but I think I am so tired cos my body is trying to catch up on all that missed sleep in the first 5 mths of E's life!
Ella is sitting next to me in her swing with rusk in her hair & growling, lol. I have taken to giving her a rusk or arrowroot biscuit in the arvo around now to hold her dinner, bath, bottle, bedtime out longer. We're getting there! But I only hold her out til 4.30pm. She turns into a monster then lol.
MEL - Glad B&P went well. Is that the only condition in the contract or do you have finance & special cond's too? Hope you have a lovely dinner tonight & I am sure Bathurst is on everywhere! *rolly eyes here* ...Where does your mummy live?
Def - Down $650?! Wow that's a big diff! Dave only got paid $600 ... he has only been getting about $600 & our rent's $270! He was getting like $800+.
Emma - Ella does that screaming - mainly to get attention lol. It is so high-pitched hey!
Nic - how's work? we had vegie from about 9 mths + i think.
E just spewed all over my clean clothes!! thru to my undies!! ewwww...
Kel - my mk party was cancelled! i am prob coming a consultant next yr. mine is giving me all her invoice books etc so thats good. i am out of hydrating gel. she's sending me free foundation tho. i luv their foundation and hydrating gel. only moisturiser that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. what did u order?
i react to wool - i get itchy but e's fine. it's over the nappy anyway, peapods with booster is awesome for night! i wanna get at least 1 more as i got 3 but accidently got 1 as a small instead of med. might get 2 - white as that's the small one and light blue. i luv the red!
typing 1 handed - gtg feed, bath ella. bye! xo
Hollie-I'd love to catch up, so that's not this weekend but the one after? I'll have to remember to give you my details, and I'm sure we can sort something out
Tennille-so glad things are looking up for you, depression in a horrid illness, but it's great to hear that you have support :hugs:
Carrie-the money situation sounds a bit better now, phew!
We're having a shocker at the moment, the council has decided that rates need to be paid quarterly instead of yearly, and that's due... DH's computer that he needs for work needs an upgrade of around $1000 (I can't do much on mine till that's done either, grrr) and the bills are all due. *sigh* I'm sure we'll survive, it's just such a frustration to be worrying about something so base as money when I have a little Kestrel to play with, LOL :p
Michaela-LOL, he did find it at 4 months, but I had to hide it as the pull/pain association wasn't very well developed and he was doing himself an injury! A slow reintroduction (supervised) was used and he can now be left alone with it (mostly)
Defaipe (yep, deaf ape here too! LOL) I love the woolly covers, that's what Kes wears all the time, short ones for warmer times, long for cool weather, going out, and over night. I find them fantastic, and he doesn't seem to get hot at all. He is prone to heat rash and dry skin, but the wool had been fine so far.
Big hugs to you all, I'm being really slack and missing heaps I know, I read it while Kes is on my lap, over a day or two... but only reply every day or so and forget most of it, LOL

Ok girls this is just a wuick post as im about to go help with Dinner.
Nic - re sterilising, we have never done it we just wash them really well in hot soapy water and then rinse in fresh water and fill straight away. With tryingy to get Madi onto water, have you tried offering her water in a cup?? Sometimes they wont take water from a bottle and vice versa as it confuses them... Perhpas keeping bottles for milk and a cup for water will make it easier for her.
Michaela - Love the invites for Harpers nameing Ceremony. Really love the way that you have kept his eyes blue but the rest in black and white
TenandTa - I suffered from PND with Amity but i have also suffered from clinical depression for a lot of my life so i was at more of a risk for it. It is hard at first to seek help and admit that something is wrong but it is so worth it in the long run because you are able to finally enjoy motherhood.
Yay for Cooper crawling!
Ok, ill try and come on again tomorrow.
Sydney gals im looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday!! Im dying to have more cuddles - i miss Sam and the kids heaps!
Gin - Can you please post the pics you took of us in Melbourne?? Kes was so d@mn cute lol!
hi ladies!
sorry i havent been on here much, it must be obvious when Al's home!! usually i am hanging round like a bad smell lol
well, he went fishing today so i went out and spoilt myself with HOT MILK lingerie, wooo woooooo! i thought Al would say it was too expensive ($84 for set, which i think is ok for nice lingerie, especially that rare thing - sexy maternity bras!) but he said i'm planning to be feeding and/or preggo for the next couple of years so it was fine. he just wants me to model it HAHAHA!
wool covers i don't have any at the moment, he is too big for his baby beehinds one and too small for the soaker and longies i bought him. i do like them tho. we don't have any problems with using PUL overnight anyway...
defaipe the offer is always open to come and check out my 'stash' anytime.
Tenille welcome back and sorry to hear you've been feeling down. i've had depression in the past so i make a real effort to go out of the house when Al's away, i think if i didnt get out, i would easily become depressed. good to hear your DH is being understanding and helping you out :hugs:
Lana sounds like you're having a great time! how's Sam going being full-time parent? he will worship you now he understands, i bet!
we want to see lots of piccies from your sydney meet.
i wish we could all meet up! maybe one day, we will all travel to a National March Mummies Meet... well, i can dream!
Carrie sorry to hear money is stressing you out. i hope the extra work turns out well. i hate thinking about money :( our savings are going REALLY BADLY. i think the credit card will cop a hammering when we go away.
Harper's sleep is shocking the last couple of nights. he's been going down early which is unlike him and VERY nice but last night, i lost count of how many times he woke! it was just for a few mins, probably his teeth? but yeh, i am sooo tired. i just lay on the bed with him for an hour but i couldnt get to sleep - i have a lot on my mind lately, been a bit stressy!!
very proud of myself tho, my junk room is now a lovely, tidy, organised store room. it took me 3 days but it looks great, i don't have to keep the door closed anymore :D
ok well its 7.30, Al went to "quickly" see his mate then was meant to cook dinner, i am bl00dy starving! should i cook or tide myself over with some choccie? hmmm, i think choc!
have a good night, everyone

Hi Girls
Sleep~
Iris has always been wrapped given a dummy and she puts herself to sleep (day and night)
BUT lately she is having trouble sleeping during the day, shes never had a mobile or any type of sleep aid apart from her wrap and dummy
so my question is do other bubs have mobiles/music stuff to go to sleep?
and do you think she needs something now OR is she just dropping a sleep?
any advice much appreciated
Food~
because she is just on milk, apple and pears I keep having horrible dreams that she starts losing weight and is sick and by the end she like a lil annorexic baby with boney bits
I usually wake up almost in tears
I know she a healthy weight and shes happy so must be fine
BUT Im so paranoid, I had no such worries with O but he wasnt as allergic as iris
ok gotta go.....feed my lil skinny babe:o
Sarah try not to stress :hugs:
if it makes you feel any better, Harper is very lean. i think he needs to fatten up!! but like Iris, he is happy so i try not to worry.
no advice on the sleep, sorry, we don't do much of that here lol!

06-10-2007, 08:11
thanks Michaela, shes not really skinny she has nice chubby cheeks and thighs lol
but I can see her lil ribs which I dont like hahahaha I wish I could see mine
nah I know shes healthy coz shes so happy and always sipping on her boobie milk lol BUT a mother worries....as im sure you all understand
sleep.....its my fave thing about Iris she loves sleep as much as moi!
my head hurts.. feels like my eyeballs are bruised.. lol. you know the type when you cant look in any direction you have to turn your whole head or you feel like crying? well thats how i feel.
michaela yeah for sure! as soon as my sicky kids and i are back to normal i'll be there! :D
sarah im not worried about A much, more so frustrated! she's a fat little chicken but wont eat solids unless its a banana in her net thingy. she refuses to open her mouth for a spoon. and i think the longest between feeds she has is 2&1/2 hours. that includes night time!:hair: why wont she eat?! im blaming dp. coz D was like this too. i just feel so sick.. sleep would be nice right now..
oh hey what was O like as a bubba? Iris is going to be a model i reckon! she's gorgeous. i know its hard not to worry tho.
hmm we've got a 1st birthday to go to soon. i wouldnt be contagious would i? i need to go so it wears the kids out coz im exhausted!
hollie i have my eyes on the purple one :D

iris looks pretty damn healthy and cute to me!
Defaipe.. why the bruised eyeballs?
Defaipe.. why the bruised eyeballs?
wish i knew! if i'd been in a brawl it would explain alot:laughing: atleast they dont look bruised
ok gotta go round up my monsters for the party.. gotta go to the post office.. i've sold some baby clothes on ebay to fund my nappy stash. then going to drop past my sisters new place.. mum's painted it.. we're trying to convince her to go into house painting.. she does such an amazing job!
Lana-I'll post the pic to the photobucket account after this, very annoying that a lot are blurry, I think my eyes are tricking me as I used to consider myself OK at photography
Sarah-you poor thing, dreams like that are just sickening. I'm sure she is fine, only because she is so happy! LOL, I am usually the one worrying about my little xylaphone ribs! I had a nasty dream the other night that he had a fit where he went all floppy and flaily and looked like a muppet, (actually that sounds cute when written, but it was anything but cute, LOL) and I woke up thinking I was going to spew at the thought.
I feel a bit bad that Kes still hasn't had any solids, but I want to wait till he is totally back to full health before starting them, maybe next weekend to be safe
Defaipe-that sounds very uncomfortable! I hope A stretches her feeds out a bit at night soon so you can have a nice stretch of sleep! The party sounds fun, you can poach ideas for your bash, LOL
LL-the new lingerie sounds nice! Shame about Harper's sleep change, hopefully it is temporary! Good on you with the cleaning, sounds like you deserved the shopping after that.
Kes napping in the pram after a walk, I love it when he stays asleep when we get home! :smiliedance:

Just a quickie to say Hi and that I am still around... trying to keep up on all the posts but struggling a bit.
An update on us... Matthew has still been waking every hour during the night and finally on Thursday night WE ABOLISHED THE DUMMY !!!
He still woke every hour but no dummy so that was good.
Friday day sleeps we perservered - SIL baby sat in arvo and got him to have 2hr sleep by putting him on his tummy. Then last night after being out at brother's house we got home around 11pm.
It took until after 12 to settle him but .....
......................wait for it.......
...........................................yes it is gonna be that good......
:smiliedance:
HE SLEPT TILL 7AM, waking at 5:30am but putting himself back to sleep with barely a grizzle. :smiliedance: :yelclap:
So far today we have had a 2hr sleep (on his tummy) this morning and he has just gone down again for his next sleep with not much drama.
We are so relieved - this morning I was going to ring a local "baby whisperer" for a home consult but have decided to wait and see if we have turned a corner.
:fingerscrossed: it all stays good.
Sorry for the me post - gotta go get lunch before dropping DH at airport.
sharon well done to you and matthew!! what a clever little man!
gin, dont worry about not giving food to kes yet. A refuses solids! and she's a month older than kes
and yes i always steal party ideas :devil6:haha
woohoo more ebay stuff sold... mcn's here i come!

Hi ladies & babies
What a full-on day today - I am exhausted! I looked after my niece, Lily for about 4 hours from 8.30-12.30 & Ella just loves her! She thinks she is so funny. She was a bit naughty though. We did some paintings outside when Ella went to sleep & I showed her how to use leaves to paint (imprints). She thought it was wonderful! Lol. But I had to wash her clothes & stick them in the drier as she got paint on them but she went to get the paintings from outside to dry inside instead as it was quite windy & they were still wet & she wiped her hands (she'd got paint on them) on her clean clothes! LOL.
After Lily left, Ella was sleeping but woke as soon as I got the stuff out to do a big clean as Haylie & Mason are coming tomorrow for the week to stay. She was winging & complaining the whole time but after she'd had a bottle, a bum change, nappy free time & played with various toys in various places I finally finished. Although I spilt the bucket of water I was mopping with everywhere!!! Ella was happy then so I had a shower (omg it was sooo hot!) & did E's ironing in the lounge while she was on the floor. I had to stop & play with her at one point as was complaining again. She then was so tired & winging for tea but I was trying to hold her out as it was not quite 4pm. Managed to let her winge til 4.30 then she got upset & I gave her dinner, bath, bottle & bed. But then I had to do more washing, washing up ... it never ends!
I am having a glass of beer now though that Dave bought home with him (just got back from working). He said the work was so easy 0 it was prob easier than my day! Lol.
Tomorrow we have a very early start. I was planning to drive to the hotel where Haylie, her dh & Mason are staying tonight at about 7am (get there at 7am) but now since Dave is working & I will need the car, he needs to be at his dads by 5.30am. I could go straight to the hotel but it means I'd have to get up at 4am to have a shower, get dressed, do make-up, pack E's bag as we are going straight to Sizzler once I get Haylie & Mason from the hotel. (They are following me I mean). I suppose I could pack E's bag tonight & get up 1/2 hour before as I won't have E interrupting me ... then I'd have to get her changed & dressed and go. OMG I am going to be exhausted!! I should go to bed soon ... after tea I think! (Chicken kievs).
Will read posts now & reply in another post.
Hope we all had a good day... Ours went pretty well... Ellery was pretty good today compared to others. Her teeth still aren't through - but they're right there!!!!!!!!!
We went to pac.fair so DP could change over some runners i got him - and YEAH - he said i could get a new pair too, cause i am walking so much..... They're some trendy brand - they are so expensive, but got these half price.:smiliedance:
Also got E some PJ's - as she is too warm in 'all-in-ones' now, and she kicks all the blankets off, so hoping that helps. They are super cute, one set is purple - the other green and pink....
We are off to mums tomorrow for her b'day. Hoping we don't get storms for the trip home. They predicted them today - but nothing yet.
Sharon - hope your night continues on from the good day Matthew had.... It would be incredibly hard to keep it up without any real proper rest..... :fingerscrossed: tonight is a good one.
Gin - Ellery often naps in the pram - hence my chatter about going out for walks quite often. Nice when they stay asleep once home too...
Defaipe - hope your eyes are better. I get that when i don't wear my glasses often enough. Do you wear glasses? and if not - do you think you may need to have them checked.... That is also how DP felt before he recently had his eyes checked - and yep - needed glasses. Hope it comes good soon though.
Have to keep moving - sorry for the quick replies. Catch up soon.
Hollie - how's that climbing going? Hope your conquering the hard ones and getting to the peak of the mountain!! ha ha

Happy 7 months to Harper and Toadlet!

GIN - Everything always comes at once doesn't it! Sounds like Kes has a lot of woollies! I only have the one soaker & want to get some shorties & longies ... I do have 2 wool wraps coming from Baby Beehinds though. Have you used those before?
NIC - Like Lana said, have water in a cup instead of a bottle as they associate bottles with milk. This is why I started giving Ella a sippy cup with water in it. Although now she will drink it out of a bottle with her dinner or her sippy cup.
LANA - Sounds like you are having a lovely holiday. Are you in Sydney now? Have fun at the Lindt cafe tomorrow! Don't forget photos of all the mums & bubs!
MICHAELA - Ella's sleep was shocking last night too! I am glad I got a good sleep on Thursday night because I woke everytime she did last night. She was crying in her sleep. You will have to take a picture of your 'stash' like I did & post the link! I have to add to mine now though ... I got my Vintage Babe (cuddlebuns?) one on Wed. It is gorgeous! It is bamboo, needs a cover if going for a nap or out but otherwise I don't bother with a cover. It is lined with pink velour & came with a snap in & a booster plus a magazine! And she sends express post as standard mail! (Minicuteture). I have to order another peapod or 2 as they are fab at night time & day time ... that white one in the small is not gonna fit for long at all!
Ella always has to have the top row of snaps 1 tighter than the bottom cos of her chubby thighs lol.
Has anyone used a greenkids (plain cover one) with the booster at night time? How did this go? Also, can you buy night boosters for Bumgenius pockets?
SARAH - With regards to sleeping ... Ella has always had a mobile on her cot but I don't always use it. She hasn't been wrapped since about 4-6 weeks (she always got out anyway), just tucked tightly in the sheets & blankets (although she escapes & rolls to her belly now!). She has no dummy anymore either and instead uses her 'bunny'. It is a lovely soft one with silk on the opposite side. She cuddles into this, I take it away when I go to bed but leave her with it during the day. But I have to give her a substitute bunny when her fave is in the wash & she knows the difference!!
You could try a blankie thing?
With regards to eating you can't really force Iris to eat if she doesn't want to ... at least she is getting nutrients in her breastmilk. I wouldn't worry about it ... meanwhile MIL is telling me how fat Ella is!! Plus Iris is quite tall isn't she?
Hope you start sleeping better xo
HOLLIE - I found some gorgeous things I could've bought Monty yesterday when I went to lunch at Botanix! There was a beautiful story book about a frog, a frog egg cup and a few more froggy things!
DEFAIPE - How was the birthday party? Are you feeling any better? Sending get well wishes your way xo
Luv the new sig too!! We should all put something about the KK's to advertise LOL.
SHARON - CONGRATULATIONS!! I agree the best thing we EVER did was abolish the dummy!! You won't regret it, believe me! Next thing you will be converting to cloth too lol.
MEL - Where does your mum live? Yay for half price runners! I sooo need some. I have terrible feet too so I want to do that thing at the Athlete's Foot. Glad Ellery was better for you to today ... let's hope it keeps up!
HAPPY 7 MTHS TO HARPER & MONTY!!! It seems like yesterday we were saying Happy 6 mths!!
Ok have a lovely weekend everyone ...
I prob won't be on much this week as Haylie & Mason are going to be here til next Sat. We have a full agenda - Sizzler & groceries (yay) tomorrow, maybe Wello Point beach too depending, Monday - BH meet (ANYONE HERE COMING??), Tues is MG, Wed going to mum's for lunch & a swim and to the scrapbook shop as mum owes me some stuff so getting the things to do E's keepsake tin, Thurs, MG for lunch, Fri is swimming in the morning, Sat her dh flies in & I have to clean up for my UCW party in the arvo ...
Luv yas xo

Hello everybody
Glad eveyones having a nice weekend!!!
We didn't go the disco last night cause when DH got home from work he was buggered and didn't feel up to it and I didn't want to go by myself so we traded the disco for indoor playcentre today. Elijah just loves the playcentre so he was up for the swap. He still has his glow sticks so he get to use them at home. Play centre was fab, we normally go to one called wriggle it but deceided to try a new one called lollipops, it had newer play equipment but not as much space as the other one...one good thing was they included a capp/latte with the entry price for adults ($3), gotta love that!!!
Carrie You mentioned mum took heaps of photos at Ella's swim lessons, at our local swim centre they have a no photo policy cause of the possibility of pervs and the like....its a shame cause it is something you want to have a memory of.
Glad to hear DP got some work for the weekend, hopefully that helps a little.
With the Mary Kay stuff I ordered the satin hands (& feet ;) )pampering set and a gorgeous lip gloss.
Is the BH meet on Monday for bayside/brissy girls? Where do you have it? Can you pm the details or post the link :D
Michaela rwwwaaalllll for the sexy lingerie :devil6: I hope you both enjoyed it......
When you say you are using pul overnight do you mean a pul cover over a fitted or a pocket which includes the pul cover???
Is Harper sleeping any better?
Sarah With sleep Noah has alway been wrapped until recently and uses a dummy too, he goes through stages where he wants me to hold him to sleep or I can just put him down and he goes to sleep by himself. At the moment I just pop in the dummy, I put him down, he turns to one side if I dont do it and he loves to have an arm over his bunny...ohhh it looks so cute, that is for day sleeps, at night he has his bottle, little cuddle and then a lie him down and he drifts off...He doesn't have music or mobiles...
As for the food, every photo i've seen of Iris, she looks a picture of health....Im sure i've heard before that some mums have BF exclusively for the first year with no dramas so try not to worry about it:)
Def How are your eyes tonight? I thought the same as Mel, could it be you need glasses????
Hope it gets better for you....
Sharon HELLO how are you???
I read what you wrote about Matthew waking every hour and you abolished the dummy....congrats in the dummy dissapearing but then I read it again and I what stood out was you said M wakes every hour  omg I can understand you being totally wrapt about him sleeping form 12 til 7am. Woohoo How you must have enjoyed that!!!! I wonder if his sleeping patterns had something to do with the dummy popping out? every hour?? waking him up???
Mel Good score on the half price runners  don't you love it when you get a great bargin! Happy birthday for your mum, hope you all have a nice day tomorrow at lunch.
Lana Glad you are enjoying your holiday....you will have to buy a extra travel bag to fit all your shopping in when you go home...LOL

Silly Frog,
I am just about to go to bed and sitting at my desk.
The phone rings and its frog from the bedroom asking me when I'm coming to bed....
crazy frog.
Night night girls!
Happy 7 months, spunky boys!!
You will have to take a picture of your 'stash' like I did & post the link!
...
Has anyone used a greenkids (plain cover one) with the booster at night time? How did this go? Also, can you buy night boosters for Bumgenius pockets?
yep, we use a greenkids anytime every 3rd night. it has hemp insert, hemp booster and microfibre booster and never leaked
you can use any boosters in the bumgenius.
here's my most recent stash piccies, doesnt include all the smalls i've packed away, or the larges i have bought for later, or the 2nd-hand ones i just got!! oh here's a pic of the large ones (http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/library-laksa/Nappies/070927blueberry.jpg)i just got.
When you say you are using pul overnight do you mean a pul cover over a fitted or a pocket which includes the pul cover???
Is Harper sleeping any better?
both! i use either baby beehinds PUL wrap or the greenkids described above. the other night, i just put heaps of inserts into a blueberry pocket and that worked well.
Harper's sleeping a bit better, last night i ended up movng he and i into the spare room coz Al was snoring! then the cat woke me up!! so if its not the baby, its one of the other males in my house!!!
well, Al's at a bucks night tonight so i am sitting around by myself, oh well, i am really tired but H had a nap at 6pm (how do i break that habit?) so he is awake now...
tomorrow we are going to the sizzler brekkie after Carrie's suggestion so that will be YUMMY!

hey girls
def - i am already looking for cute pressies for the girls - cant wait to meet them!
as for cake shops, try www.cookiesandmore.com.au (http://www.cookiesandmore.com.au)
my family and friends often get the little indiviudal ones for parties, afternoon teas etc. i dont know if they do like fairy cakes and stuff tho. they are based in malaga, and deliver as well, for a small charge. (although you are a long, long way! ha ha)
my sis uses a good cake lady in ballajura, i'll try to get her details for you, and i'll post a pic of what she has done for my nieces birthdays.
sorry i havent been on this week, little man has had rotavirus, we spent a night in Princess Margaret Hospital - must have been the worst night of my life.
he is on the mend now tho, the poor little guy, it was so sad to watch him so sick.
We are going to sizzler for breaky tomorrow morning - just like Carrie and LL!!!
i guess LL you would go to the one near you (i've been to that one before, we used to live near the Forum), but we are going to the one up my way.

i havent been to a sizzler breaky either - i checked it out on the website, looks good (yeah ok, i'm bored - ha ha ha!).
Well, early morning rise for me - 5am, but that's becoming the normal time - and I feel fine. We are in bed early too so it is nice to be up and about. Trying to let DP sleep in as he's a bit worn out.....
Off to mums today. My family come from ipswich - that is where i grew up. Went to school there (Grammar School) and then once working etc. moved to brisbane. Mum is really involved in all the music stuff - Junior Eisteddfod and choirs - mostly for kids, so she keeps really busy in the cultural side of things. It is about 1.15 hours away, but once we move it'll probably be about 45 mins or so. My mum has a terribly sore back at the moment - she's had physio, and has just started going to a chiro - it is really getting her down, but there isn't alot one can do apart from rest a bit... (which she finds hard to do.. ha ha)
Gaby - hope A is feeling alot better. That's awful that he caught rotavirus - hope all is good now though. It would have been a worrying time that's for sure... You take care though.
Ellery hasn't been getting wrapped as such lately - mainly because it is too hot. We sort of try and tuck her arms in though - and even though she wriggles out, we can't just leave her completely lose just yet.....
Michaela - hope Al had a good time at the bucks night - and isn't too sick today????? Hope sizzlers is nice though... YUM
Hollie - hope you didn't get anymore phone calls to 'come to bed'... ha ha.. that is so funny...
Kellie - where do you take the boys for swimming lessons? I've heard about the no photo policy for perve reasons too. Pretty damn sad that you are unable to take photos of your kiddies due to 'sickos' that are out there, but better to be safe than sorry i guess.
I have to go to the accountant tomorrow. Finally organised to get out tax done. Been slack this year - lots going on with the houses etc... hoping we get a nice $$ surprise, but never can be sure.... Just have to wait and see.
I have posted some pics on the MarchMums photobucket site... Great idea Gin... All the bubba's are so adorable!

Wow I loved the my little pony cake & the animal farmyard cake. the cake lady sure did a good job such detail on the farmyard cake, with the little piggies & all. I can't wait until Ta-leah's 1st Birthday party. I love parties. Cakes, frankfurts, fairy bread etc.
Congratulations to all the baby's that are crawling.
Sorry just a quick post, will write again tomorrow, going outside to do stuff now. Have a nice weekend all.

Hi girls,
So tired this morning - couldn't sleep then Ella kept waking up crying from 2-3.30am then I got up & brought her in bed with us after some Bonjela but wanted to play with Dave. Ended up getting out of bed at 4.15am (had alarm set for 4.30 to have a shower to leave at 5am) and gave her a bottle & she projectiled more than what was in the bottle all over both her & I! So went to have a shower & no hot water! So just wet my hair to freshen up, slapped on my face & some clothes, got E dressed & dropped Dave at his dad's & got to H's hotel room at about 5.40am. We left there at 7am, went to sizzler & were home by 9am. Seems like the day should be ending now!
I called the agent about the hot water system & had to call Origin & they are having someone come out this morning. Yay. Then groceries this afternoon, possibly the Family Fun Day as well ...
I have some fluffy mail coming this week - an Ecobubs fitted nappy, a Bubba J hemp nappy wiht periwinkle snaps, a tots bots(?) stripy rainbow fleece cover & an aqua star PUL cover. I had started filling in an order on Peapods website for 2 nappies & 2 night boosters & then closed the window as decided not to go through with it but they sent me a confirmation of my order today & I have to pay ... I am confused ... maybe I did order them? I don't think so.
KELLIE - Satin hands is the best! I still have mine & I got it in May 06 and I have used hardly any of it! She had a half price offer last Sept too & I got 3 sets for presents. It's lovely. I will email you the details for tomorrow ...
HOLLIE - He's as bad as me lol ... I msg Dave to bring me a drink or something lol.
MICHAELA - I have the bamboo insert & bamboo booster. Do you think that's enough or add a peapods booster too do you think?
About to look at pics ...
FIRSTTIME - So sorry to hear about your little man!! That must be terrible! I am worried now as we weren't even offered the vaccine thing.
Enjoy sizzler!
SARAH - Yes, we're jealous! Lol ... yes u can call me Bambi haha.
What's the March Mummies Photobucket account??
TAZZY - Yay for Jacey! Clever girl. How's the business going?
Better go.
Have a great day
oops forgot to say yes im heaps better today.. i think it might have been a bug.. eyes are still a little sore but nothing like yesterday..
i dont wear glasses.. actually im a shocker coz i dont even wear sunnies!! i need to go get some badly or im going to be covered in wrinkles!
i'll pm you carrie, FT & kel.
ah, thanks Defaipe, quicker off the mark than me  and thanks, it's great to hear that the lovely A isn't a solids baby either, she looks super healthy on breastmilk alone!
Firsttime, how terrifying! So glad to hear he is alright now, phew.
I love your new avatar, what a sweety pie!
Sharon-yay for no more dummies!!! good job, let's hope his sleep starts stretching out regularly now to a nice 10 hours every night eh? :D
Wow Carrie- you're going to need a holiday to recover from the last two days, LOL, sounds like a blast though!
I've only used hand-knitted woollies myself, and I'm really lucky... after finally finishing his second pair of longies (other than the ones I shrunk, LOL) and his 3rd soaker... a lovely super-dooper hubber gave me the most gorgeous shorties, and longies. So I have a good amount now.
Mel-I just went out for a trot and the little champ is still sleeping again, this is great!
Good score on the runners, a clever idea to look after the feet when they are the means of getting bubs to sleep, hehe
I hope you have fun today, it will be great for your Mum to see Ellery, she must miss her living so far away!
Taryn-that's fantastic! Congratulations little crawler!
Happy 7 months to Toadlet and Harper!!! Amazing, it sounds so grown up!
Emma-speaking of grown up, what a sweet lad you've got there, his eyes were always so amazing when he was a newby, lovely to see that they're still so sparkly bright.
Kel-that playcentre sounds awesome. Your boy definitely got a good trade there, LOL. Noah's bedtime routine sounds so cute!
LT- Frog has the right idea, my poor DH rues the day we got home phones with intercom function... and that he found me a mobile plan with free SMS! :D I never leave the guy alone now! "Please come to bed" "Oh, can you bring my knitting" "Oh, and an apple" "oh, and some water" "Can you hurry up already?!?" ROFL
Hope you guys are all enjoying your Sizzler's brekky! Sounds very noice.
Sarah-yes, I am green with envy! I will have to come up to Sydney soon to hang with you all, though I am feeling pretty chuffed that I get 2 visitors in a fortnight down here!
Trying to think of some dessert for the family tonight, don't want to go shopping though and have no sweet ingredients. Hmmm.

Just a quick one.
I just posted a few piccys in the MM album and to explain the 3 of Elijah, well he deceided to empty nearly a full bottle of baby powder...as you can see from the mess it was fun to clean up. We had no carpet on the floor at the time as we were getting the new carpet on the following Monday. He was supposed to be having a rest and I went to check on him and boy did I get a suprise. I opened the door and he just looked at me in shock, I quickly shut the door cause believe it or not my reaction was to laugh but I didn't want him to see that. I grabbed the camera and got a few shots. He also did snow angels on the floor LOL. It took quite a long time for all traces of the powder to go..He was about 3 1/2 at the time. I can't remember what his punishment was but nothing too major as I said to DH these things happen, mind you not fun to clean up. :D BTW it did stuff up my vaccum...hmmmmpph
Back later............................
Just about to get a storm here. My mum had hail for 20 mins just before - so hope we don't get it too bad. We were hoping that Ellery got to sleep before it, but don't think she will. If she gets scared - just have to take her into the big bed and try and stop her seeing the lightening.
Shall let you know how we fair... How is everyone else in the SE of QLD fairing?

Ohhh Kellie that is so funny, with the baby powder. Kids have such good imaginations. Just as well you didn't have the new carpet in at the time.

Mel, the storm just ripped thru here and I found the kids didn't mind at all.
Matthew didn't even register that anything was going on.
Ryan was a little apprehensive at first but I made fun of it by looking for the lightening and laughing up the thunder.
How did Ellery go?
ETA: I used to be terrified of storms as a kid. Got to love them as an adult although I still used to get quite apprehensive myself when DH was away. However now I find I don't have that luxury - the kids will pick up on any tension I have so I have to force it all away. Most storms are fine and I do love them, but we have had a couple where I have been a bit scared on my own but doing my best not to show it to Ryan.

Have to pay credit card back (omg did a huge grocery shop today & only have $100 left on it!! Never been down that far!!) then may get some.

Shezi I've just had a bad case of sinusitis. 2 courses of antibiotics.
I find that those salt water nasal baths are good too. Cleans out the passage ways.
It's called Fess. Check out your chemist.
We've trained Monty to sleep longer. Nasty mummy tirns off the monitor whehn he wakes up before 5 and if he is still crying in half an houtr i get up, but most times he goes back to sleep.
he hasnt woken up before 5.30 for the last 5 weeks.
He's having another mega sleep now.
Well, the storm didn't eventuate into anything drastic here on the coast last night - but there are a couple more lurking around this afternoon. It is so humid here - just ridiculous. I was out walking and it started to rain, so UNFIT Mel had to jog home.... MY GOD!!!! I got there and Ellery just laughed the whole way - GREAT..... That's a good way to get fit - go out for leisurely stroll and have a storm start pelting down in the middle of it... Always makes me move my bones... ha ha
To top it off - stopped raining and the ground is hardly wet...:gloomy:
BIG NEWS - Ellery popped through 2 bottom teeth this morning!! Yeah, they're finally thru, but no wonder she was struggling with them - 2 at the one time!!!!!!
Hollie - how good is that toadlet of yours... Little champion giving his mummy such a nice, long break........
So glad you all had a great time catching up.... You'll have heaps of wonderful little stories to tell I am sure....
Kellie - sorry to hear you're not too good...:( Certainly not the nicest thing to have - gastro just makes you feel really YUKKO.... Hope it doesn't hang around too long and then you'll be back to your energetic self...
Sarah - glad you had a good time at the aquarium, but hope Orlando gets over the fact that he didn't see any mermaid. How beautiful is that!!..... :)
Carrie - sorry, I wasn't able to make the meet today. With the house/s and stuff going on - just really tied up with arrangements etc... Hope you all had a great time and once in the new place and organised, will endeavour to come up to Brisvegas and meet you all.
Well, Ellery is calling out from the cot.... I thought she was wanting a sleep - but was wrong (not surprising)... The lightening and thunder didn't seem to worry her last night, which is great... Some loud claps of thunder, and she didn't even stir....:yelclap:

just a quickie as I have my nephew staying with me tonight and 2moro.....its actually very good as O and dn get along really well and play so nicely together its heaven!
firts....photo shoot went well but it wasnt what I expected it was more an Anne geddes type pics
which were very cute!
she was put into a pile of teddy bears lol and then had pics taken with fairy wings on
then she was layed on a pile of white feathers (not good for her skin!)
and O had pics taken too in a black pin stripe suit so cute!
ok better go the natives are getting restless hahahaha
afternoon ladies
well sounds like lots of mums a bit sick - me too! all blocked up and sore throat, i have had the same thing 4 times now! i hope Harper doesnt get it again...
well, i am a bit behind on posts... but now i'm just chilling out sitting on my bed and Harper is laying here playing with his baby touch book and looking out the window.
defaipe which colour kk are you bidding on?
Harper's sleep is pretty bad lately too. sounds like A is being hard work :hugs:
Mel two at once?! ouchies. i feel so bad for them with the teeth, its so sad. H has 2 started coming through and 2 just about to. my cousin told me that babies who cross-cut their teeth like Harper(he has 1 top & 1 bottom, same time) are considered bad luck babies in some tribes!!
LOVELY PICS ON PB ladies! i will upload some shortly.
well i usually HATE cooking but now i am starting to get a bit more adventurous with Harper's meals. today he tried 'baby guacamole' (avocado+natural yoghurt) and the last two days we gave his his first meat - fish. tonight we are having beef stir fry so will make pureed steak too. :chef:
sooo i thought i might start a thread for us to chat about what we're feeding the bubs? i would like some new ideas!!
MARCH MUMS COOKING CHAT (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=127151)
Michaela
I think that both Harper and Ellery are just so damn cute - there couldn't possibly be any bad luck with them... he he he
Might explain some of their 'sad' moments though with the cross cutting of teeth.....
I have to get onto that 'baby food' site, as I am pretty boring when it comes to cooking for e. I do make it all up myself - but usually just a mixture of pumpkin/potato (sometimes carrot) and then pear and apple... I am sure all you special March mummies have great ideas and tips...

Hi girls
Had a lovely day today at the meet with the MG girls, some July 06 girls, and Sharon (Ryan&Matthew'sMum). (Even if Ella & Mason both were awake at 3.30am again!! What is it with her lately?!).
Sharon - Your boys are so good & so gorgeous - Matthew has grown so much since last time I saw him!
Hollie - Luv the site!! I have my eye on the purple one with spots ...
Lana - Super jealous of you getting to meet Monty, Iris & Brendan (And Hollie, Sarah & Jenny!)... How is Jenny btw? Looking fwd to the pics.
Defaipe - What email? Sorry ... I am a bit dillusional atm ... worn out from these kids! I don't know how you do it!
Ella loves Mason sooo much ... good thing they like each other, makes the wedding plans a lot easier ROFL!
Mel - That's fine about today! Congrats Ellery on your 2 new teeth! Wow ... can't just do things one at a time hey. It was so humid here too. It was beautiful & breezy down at the water-front however there was moisture in the breeze & felt all sticky & gross.
Sarah - Photos sound cute ... In Ella's she has some in a box of teddies!! The other is in towels. Topless! I keep saying she takes after her mother ... she has big boobies/cleavage ... cos she's so chubby lol.
LL - Speaking of food ... Ella had paster bolognase tonight! She loved it! Her first mouthfull was interesting - the look on her face! But scoffed down the rest ... and the Mango Banana Bliss she had today she didn't even wanna wait between mouthfulls to finish lol.
I was saying last night that I think Ella needs to cut down on her bottles as she is eating 3 meals per day plus snacks (rusks or biscuits). What do you all think? She is having 5-6 bottles still.
Oh Ella's awake screaming! Better get her some bonjela. Think top tooth is coming through poor bubba.
Hope all the sick mummies get well soon.

Gotta go get kids stuff ready for childcare tomoz and me organised for work. ALso got a friend over for dinner tomorrow night so I might not be back online until Wed or Thurs.... probably have a dozen pages to catch up on by then.:D
Hope sick mummies are feeling better soon.
Cheers.

does she have the food before milk? i've started doing that and he is having better day sleeps too
I can post some pasta recipes for bubs if you like, i don't think Harps is quite ready but they look yummy!
i've added some recent photos to the joint photobucket :)
We managed to miss the worst of the storms again last night - but it is really wierd, it is 5.15am and there is one lurking around at the moment.... I find weather interesting and although in bad storms i get a little worried, I like seeing the lightening etc.... I often get onto the bureau of meteorology to see where rain/storms are moving to etc... and their intensity.... You probably all know the site, but if you don't - here is a link
http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR663.loop.shtml?looping=0&reloaded=0&topography=true&locations=true&range=true#skip
Hope it works.....
Ellery has slept really well during the night. Just got up once to her and put her dummy in (which is unusual) and haven't heard her since. Hoping she has a good run now that the teeth have popped through.
Have chiro appointment at 7.45am, and then intend on going to the clinic nurse. I think Ellery's put on a fair amount of weight in a fortnight, so would like to see how she is going. at least she is happy little girl (most of the time.. ha ha) and she is really trying to get those legs moving...... It was really humid here yesterday afternoon before the storms - and i gave her a loooooong nappy free time... She liked it, but then got hungry and cranky...
Carrie - glad the meet up went well yesterday. I am sure it was hot, but at least there was some breeze on the point.... Will endeavour to be there next time. Sounds like all the bubba's and kiddies are just too adorable.... Love to meet you all.....
have posted some new pics on the marchmums general photobucket site... but below is a link to ellery in the dress her Nan made for her whilst visiting. You may remember me saying i had some lessons. Haven't had time to get into it yet with the house and all, but hoping i'll have some time in the near future.
all the bubbas look adorable in the photobucket site.... I went through them all - just stunners aren't they? What about that photo of Cooper asleep.... AAAWWWW - could just smother him with cuddles...

Hello everyone
Well feeling a bit better today, so far...Had a sore tummy all day so that wasn't too nice. Managed to have a bit of yummy roast dinner last night...not to much though, bugger cause I Loovveeee roast dinners.
I got a nice delivery of fluffy mail yesterday. A blueberry minky, sandman and a green kids. :smiliedance: Ohhh do I love that blueberry. so soft and trendy!!! They are trying to dry, very slowly in this weather mind you. When dry I will get some piccys. I might even take a photo of all my stash.:D
Question about the sandman???? Considering the sandman does not have a pul cover built in is there more chance that the nappy will leak with just a woolly on? Do I need to put a pul cover on, then the woolly? mmmmm
Looks like I might have to buy another peapods for night cause the sandman look like it might take a while to dry. Especially if the weather is like today.
Ok off to get ready to go to shops today, DH is a boilermaker/fabricator and he does site work. At the moment his employer just started a job at a shopping centre near by so we get to go have lunch with him today. These shops also have a kiddy drop off playzone for max 2 hours so we might go a little early, put E in the playzone so I a can do some browsing  I actually need to get a wedding/christening outfit.
Speaking of teeth, believe it or not Elijah's first two teeth were the fang one's  ....he looked so funny, we were a little concerned that they came first but quite soon after he got the two in the centre down the bottom ahhh just as funny I know...he now has quite lovely teeth so I don't think the order they come down in has anything to do with how they will look after. Iykwim...gosh if cross cutters are considered bad luck then wonder what E would have been.:devil6: LOL
Elijah is just doing a magic trick for me and he said "Abbracapickles"LOL instead of abbracadabbra!!! he thought that was the word hehe, you can tell he's been watching sesame street.
Ok back after to do personals...........................
Hey Ladies!
Hope all mums and bubs are well!
Can someone please PM me the photobucket details so I can jump on too??
I didn't make it to work yesterday, Madi had a trip to the doctor's and it has been confirmed she has asthma, poor chicken had a bad night last night but she's amazingly still a happy bubba with big smiles.
Carrie, I am still coming this weekend but I need some directions as I haven't been over your way for some time now. I hope things have slowed down for you, it sounds like you have been so busy lately.
Lana and Carrie, thanks for the tip on the sippy cup I am going to try that. It was so funny yesterday, after we finished up at the doctor's I bought a bottle of water and Madi was going crazy for it and drank it from the bottle - how funny is that? Needless to say it spilt all down her top but it cooled her off. Is it ok that she drank that water?
Sounds like the lovely mums and bubs had a great meet up, it would be so good to meet everyone!
I have heaps to catch up with at work but will be back on soon and hopefully add some pics of Madi when I get the PB account details
morning ladies
DH and I are sick as!! he got up with H at 7.45, played, gave him brekkie then he slept for nearly two hours :) he knows mum and dad need to sleep and get better. Al's got to go back to work tomorrow...
with the photobucket, i just changed it to a 'private' album. hope thats ok? can't use the same log-in password so the "guest password" is the log-in password minus the last letter, ok??
here, try with this one: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd191/MarchMums/library%20laksa/07092001.jpg
it links to the individual photo but you can't go back into the full album without the password. i've done that on mine now, just in case of weirdos...
bit more secure, hope that helps :D
Kel you should never need to use PUL and wool, its a one-or-the-other kinda thing. post some pics! which colour blueberry? is it the osfa pocket? i have 3 (they had a deal a few weeks ago)
ok gonna have a shower and see if i feel more alive. my head is totally blocked up and gross and i feel like sh!t...

Hi girls
Ella is sick today I think. She has not been drinking bottles since yesterday, she was so wingy & crying heaps at MG today, had a bit of a sleep & was very very hot. When we came home (early) I tried to feed her lunch & a bottle to go to sleep but she wouldn't have it so I put her in bed with the fan on and some panadol & she's been sleep for an hour so far.
I don't know if it's just teeth or something else.
Poor bubba.
Might bbl.
xo
:laughing:M & A are rolling around the lounge room floor with eachother. cute. M came home from kindy at 12 today coz she was upset. we had been talking about her birthday cake and she thought it was her birthday party today!! so she thought she was missing out! poor kid lol
i went to the cheesecake shop to see what kind of cakes they could make coz i really liked the animal one you posted FT. they were going to charge $80 just for a number 2 then i'd have to supply toys for the top.. i wanted edible animals hehe if you end up finding out the details i'd love them. only prob is distance but still im sure i can work something out. i dont know anyone

Hey girls.
Ella didn't eat her dinner, the only thing I could get her to eat was mashed banana mixed with natural yoghurt and she didn't drink more than 80ml of her bottle. She keeps waking up during the nights so I'm not sleeping either.
I really hope she is better tomorrow.
Defaipe pm me your email address or email me at carriedave at optusnet dot com dot au & I can just reply to you.
Dying to order some when I get some money!
FT how is your hubby going? What are the symptoms? Hope you manage to avoid it.
Tomorrow morning we are going to Kmart & the Warehouse first then to mum's for lunch & a swim, to the scrapbook shop where mum owes me some supplies :)
Ok I'm going to go watch Neighbours, H&A and maybe Dave will let us watch Dancing with the Stars as he never lets me watch it but he's in a better mood with Haylie staying lol.
Gotta eat my dinner too - sausages, mashed pot, pumpkin & onion gravy!! YUMMY!!!
Can our babies eat sausages?
Good night xo

Anyone else having trouble?????????????
I went in PB and logged in and used the password with the extra letter on the end and I found the upload box.mmmm but as I said when i log in and type the password without the letter on the end there is no upload box... I take it we upload in the original one (with letter on end) and if we want to display photo on bubhub we use the second one (without letter on the end) mmm is that correct??? oh yeah using the second one to post photos on bubhub would only show that photo... yeah private ohhhhI get it shesh that was painful LOL

Hi all
BIG APOLOGY with the picture photobucket site. I thought i was posting my personal one... I will be super careful next time.... I hope i didn't upset anyone, it was an honest error.... BIG SORRY GIRLS...:(
Ellery has been alot happier since her 2 bottom teeth have poked through. She is chewing everything in sight, but it is nice to have her so happy....
We went to the clinic and she weighs 8.76kg(19lb 5o) and is 68 cm long. She is doing well and nurse pam's really happy with her... She did the usual though - cried as soon as she saw her..... also, she had a BIG moment at the chiro's - super attached to mummy at the moment and her cry is no longer a baby cry, it is loud, big and vocal...... She calmed down quickly though when back with me, but poor little thing gets so upset. Do others have that problem too?
Am starting to introduce other vegies now - made up a batch of beans, zuchhini and cauliflower... she ate some last night so she still hasn't turned her nose up at anything... YEAH...
Hope all the sick mummies (and bubbies) are doing better.... The sudden change to heat up here has caused some to get really sick, especially asthmatics - it has come in so quickly....
Had some bad storms again late afternoon and evening. we got hail at 8pm last night!!! wIERD......
Well, quick one today - will catch up soon.

BIG APOLOGY with the picture photobucket site. I thought i was posting my personal one... I will be super careful next time.... I hope i didn't upset anyone, it was an honest error.... BIG SORRY GIRLS...:
awww Mel I should apologise I should have just PMed you instead of asking on the open forum, Im sorry If I embarrassed you no need to be really its nothing to be sorry about really
Im sorry if I uspet you thats the last thing I would want to do:o :hugs:
Morning!
At work but don't know how long for 'cause Madi's asthma was really bad through the night and this morning she is wheezing pretty bad too. I dropped her off at kindy and I feel so bad today, I can't stop crying. I just had to run to the toilets at work to pull myself together.....still crying, such a mess today!
Ok think I am better now! Try again.......
Mel, that's great Ellery is happier now that her 2 teeth popped through. Sounds like she enjoys her food too, that's great to hear.
LL, I love your cooking for bubs thread, I am going to come over there soon and write some ideas down. You did such a great job with it!
Carrie, I hope E is ok. Madi has gone off her bottles too but is still eating a fair bit. Maybe it's her teeth that's effecting her? Hope she is ok, poor little chicken!
I hope RTC's Mum is ok, I guess she must be super busy working and looking after 3 kids. Hope we get to hear from her soon!
Shezi, Madi has the same red play car as A and loves sitting in it too while her Dad sits next to her watching T.V. She doesn't reach the floor yet, but we put the yellow pages underneath for her - hehe. I took Madi to the paed and even though they don't like to diagnose asthma til they are around 2 years old, it was pretty obvious that she has it as she has a constant wheeze and has had a cold and cough since July. My DH also had it when he was a bub, so it gave her a higher risk of developing it. So sad and unfair!
Anyway I better do some work and I will be bakc on soon!
Hope everyone has a lovely morning!

Nic, is madi on any sort of medication? i feel for you, must suck most days to be at work without her let alone when she's sick!:(
i really hope madi (& today) gets better quickly hun.
i had to laugh when you said about the yellow pages hehe. we put a fat cushion under her feet but her toes can just reach now.
Welcome home lana :D i hope your knee gets better. cant be fun limping around after 2 kids! speaking of your littlies.. have they grown lots in the time you were gone?
i'll message Gemma again today.
mel A is starting to cry with people she doesnt know too. i love the 'only mummy' stage. no more passing the baby :devil6:haha
Sarah - all is good.... I understand why it was mentioned - totally understand....... The photobucket was a great idea, and I wouldn't want to jeapordise us being able to openly show our beautiful bubba off to one another. :)
Well, so much for ellery being such a happier girl. Had a good morning - then at 9.30am for 2nd bottle of the day, went pear shaped. I called the Dr as I think it could be her ears. possibly ear infection? Her cries were so different and more distressing than her usual grizzley cry. I got her to sleep in the big bed - but i am going to take her in case... She was a happy bubba this morning though.
We had the wierdest storm, i was down at the cafe early for our walk, and at 7.45am - down came the hail!!!!!!!!! what the?????? Looks like its going to be an overcast and wierd day today. We got hail at 8pm last night, maybe it will be a 12 hour thing for a while.. ha ha
Nic - hope Madi is doing alright, and i can only imagine how hard it would be at work with her not so good and you not being there. Hope you get through the day alright, and more importantly ( i think) that Madi improves real soon.... you take care now....
Well, better go and check on my little chicken. When she wakes, we'll be off to the Dr.

Omg yes! Amity is talking even more now! And Griffy has changed heaps. He has so much more hair and he is crawling HEAPS! Plus, he can now go from crawling to sitting and sitting to crawling!
Nic - Poor Madi! I had quite severe asthma when i was a little kid too, its horrible hey. I hope your day gets better hun xox
Mel - Wow hail storm hey!? How cool! I am sooo glad that i flew home before these storms. I hope its not her ears.
Im taking the kids to the docs today as Griffy's right ear had ear wax all over it (it was seeping out) and he has been pulling at them so i think he might still have his ear infection and Amity has been complaining that it hurts ' down there' so day care are thinking maybe a UTI... We'll see though
omgosh! crawling to sitting and sitting to crawling?! your little man is growing up so quickly! A is only just rolling properly now. since yesterday:laughing::laughing:
i hope ellery, griff & amity are feeling better.
i forgot to mention.. a couple of days ago mum rang me from work.. a daughter of one of the ladies she looks after came in, mum & her get along realy well(she's the lady that owns the bridal shop i had a look in a while back) anyway they were talking and the lady had asked mum about me.. when we were getting married.. all that stuff.. anyway mum said we were going to wait a bit get some money together first.. WELL the lady has offered me a wedding dress! not only that but she's going to help out with the girls flower girl dresses too! how crazy is that! i was like um no she cant do that. but mum said she wont take no for an answer.
she must absolutely love my mum coz i've never even met her!
Thanks girls, I am feeling better now! Sorry for my post, I was really upset. I was just having 'one of those days'. Kindy phoned me to say that she is ok, she was very whingy and was screaming a fair bit but has settled down and gone for a sleep. It's so good that my sister is there to keep an eye on her and keep me updated.
Mel, I hope Ellery is ok, hopefully she'll be pack to her happy self again soon.
Lana, wow that's great news for Griff, sitting then crawling, how cool is that! Wow it must be so good to see them, I hope they are ok too! Bet they are glad to see their mummy!
Def, that's a great idea about the cushion, I didn't even think about doing that. Might have to try that one out. Madi spends the whole time looking at herself in the side mirror - it's so cute!

Nic.....I know what your going thru, its so scary O's had to be hospitalised on several occassions and its terrible
especially at night thats the worst, your constantly worried about their breathing!
Thankgoodness your sis is with her, it must give you peace of mind:hugs:
Have been to the Dr's - and everything is fine. Feel like a bit of a dill, as her ears are fine along with chest etc.... Dr Penny just said that although her teeth are through, they're still sore and raised - so probably that..... I am usually not one to jump at going to the Dr, but her behaviour was really out of character. The little mites fine now, in her highchair sucking on her meshy thing with orange in it... LOVING IT UP......
Lana - YEAH for Griff, clever little thing hey. Sitting then crawling.... E's getting better with the sitting and is lifting her whole chest off the ground, but hasn't mastered getting her legs up yet....
Hope the Dr is able to help you with the kids.... Not nice when they're unwell hey..... It is hard to know what is exactly hurting etc... when they're unable to describe it.... Hope amity's 'down there' gets better soon.
Defaipe - great news about the dress..... That is wonderful - and very exciting too.... I am sure you'll look beautiful in whatever you choose.
hi everyone! yucky weather today, we're having a lazy home day.
Lana welcome home! how did Sam go? i take my hat off to him, Al couldnt do one day with one kid!!!

Hi girls
Just another flyby to tell you that jacey has been crawling for a week now. Up on all fours that is!! Clever little thing didnt even army crawl or anything - straight up on her knees. She also has started to try and pull herself up on the lounge!! My baby is growing so fast....
me... well I have joined Tony ferguson to lose the last few kilos that are hanging about. day 4 now and going OK but so hard when making DS yummy food. So its low carbs and found a little trick.... we cant have potatoes so I steam up come cauliflower and blend it up, adding some garlic and a tblsp of low fat cottage cheese and its yummy - tastes very like potato. They call it notatoes. So maybe if any of you have kids that love potato you could trick them into have cauliflower.
Well done on little Griffen sitting, Jacey started that last week too - its just amazing how they learn things everyday.
Oh I havent seen the PP mag so best go and find it, what a little star.
OK have to go, dinner nearly ready.
take care everyone, sorry I dont have time to be on here much but I will be sure to pop in and update you all on Jacey as she grows.

 Sorry haven't been on as of late, haven't been feeling to crash hot the last two weeks... and yes my AF is late too... i think (yes think) my last one was around the end of August, and the end of September has been and gone still no AF and now 10 days into October. We have been using condoms but not religiously.. how stupid of us!! So anyway the last two weeks i have been having a sick feeling aka nausea on and off all day, ocassional headaches, the only thing is im not overly tired like i was with Antonio, nor am i peeing lots, and i don't "feel" pregnant, but maybe i am in denial and deep down i know i am LOL. Which is not good because A) Your meant to wait 1-2 years after a c-section , B) I am still not over Antonio birth/newborn stage LOL and C) I'm praying to anything and everything that i am not pregnant again. :gloomy: Yes we want another one bit omg not now. So that's where i am at the moment :banghead:. Spose i will wait another week then do a PT and then arrrgggghhh.
Antonio turned 7 months 2 days ago, and is doing great i measured him this morning and he is around 73cm's, still eating well, almost crawling, keeps getting on his knees but face plants LOL.
Anyway must go, feeling off again. Please pray for me .. NO BABY!!!!

Hi girls
Ella must've cut out one of her bottles as having 4 per day plus 3 meals plus 1-2 snacks (rusk or arrowroot). I am worried she is drinking too many bottles still? Except after yesterday when she wasn't well & not eating/drinking today she had 4 bottles, half a small jar of banana porridge for breakfast, tried to give her peas & pot for lunch but wouldn't eat it, didn't have dinner and didn't finish her bottle.
We went to the shops this morning then to mum's for lunch. She had made these yummy fritatas (sp?) with pumpkin & chicken in them. A Donna Hay one I think. I had to grab the recipe for MG! We then went to the scrapbook shop as mum still owed me some things & I got the stuff to do E's keepsake tin. The stuff I got is just gorgeous! I am just waiting on a new knife.
LL - Sorry I wil have a look at the thread! No one liked my March babies stats thread either & I thought cos we always like to hear about them, how they're going, their stats each check-up etc it'd be a hit! Oh well ... HEHE Ella is 1kg heavier & 1.5cm shorter than H and younger! She's such a rolly polly girl!
LT - Hi Hollie! Miss u too. xoxo How's Monty going?
DEFAIPE - I bid on the purple one with spots and pink snaps! Someone was keen on the one with green I liked first but I think I like the pink snaps now! No one else has bid on it sooo ... IT'S ALL MINE! Lol. I saw you been bidding on the red one too! Mum loves that one, I was showing her the KK site today. And omg that is so nice about that lady giving you a wedding dress etc! How lovely of her!
Oh & yes we sorta watched DWTS but talked through most of it! LOL.
LANA - I bet the kids were pleased to see you! How is your knee? Oooh is the Practical Parenting mag online? I wanna see little H modelling ... How did the dr's go? hope the kids are ok. Griff is so clever being able to crawl/sit, sit/crawl.
NIC - Poor Madi! She has had such a rough trot hasn't she ... and it must be so hard & tiring on you & your dh. Give her lotsa cuddles from me ... and you too! What's this car that Madi & A have? E has no big toys like that ...
TARYN - Congrats on Jacey crawling! They are all growing so quickly. Hope to see you around again soon.
GUESS WHAT?! I told my parents we couldn't afford to go to Hervey Bay for 3 nights over the weekend of the 26/27/28th of Oct as we have electricity, specialist appointments etc etc and they mentioned it to my aunty (dad's sister) and she called me yesterday morning before MG and said she is going to pay for us to go as we need a hol - it'll be an early christmas present!! I am so excited, it's such a lovely thing to do. She never spends that much on us but prob this yr cos Grandma & Grandpa are gone etc and she said she wanted to do something for us! I was nearly crying on the phone!
Ok gtg talk to H ... Mason is sooo adorable!
Luv ya's xoxo

AD - Are you periods normally irregular? Mine have been since I have had Ella ... and I don't think it's true you have to wait 1-2 yrs after a c/s either.
I hope that you feel better & whatever happens is meant to be. xo

Well pre pregnancy they where spot on every 28 days, after i got my AF back after the c-section i had the lochia, for 2 weeks, then nothing, then an infection/antibotics and then have had 2 af's since then the last one being August,(they where heavier and would be on and off too) so to be honest i don't know if that would have an effect on them. It could be anything i have been stressed/mildy depressed lately - another story, so will give it a week and see what happens, like i also said im not 100% sure when my last AF was , except around the end of August. (I normally write down when i get my AF, but haven't since A was born :shame:). Fingers crossed just my body still not 100% "normal" LOL

practical parenting october issue - page 75, bambini pronto advert, he is in the blue and white stripey sleeping bag, when i saw it i was sure it was harps even tho i've never met him!
Yep doesnt he just look gorgeous! He is our STAR!
Vicki - Im thinking of you and hoping that you get the outcome you are after. Gin and I missed you at the Zoo when i was in melbourne... we were wondering ify ou were ok or not so im glad to know that you are getting there :hugs:
Defaipe - OMG! How generous of your Mum's friend! You will have a great dress and you and the girls will look gorgeous!
Taryn - Yay for Jacey! Its amazing how quickly they are all growing up hey! By the sounds of it Jacey doesnt want to be crawling for too long lol. Sounds like you might have your work set out for you!
Michaela - Make sure you head out and grab a copy of the mag so that you can see your little man! Are you collecting all his little modeling things for when he is older?
Carrie - What a fantastic present from your Aunty. I bet you guys are looking forward to it!
Took the kids to the doctors... Griff is fine, his ears are all clear thankfully. Amity had to have a little wee bag attached so that we could get a wee sample and they are going to test it.
My knee is getting worse so i am off to the docs tomorrow... I really hope they can do something. I am getting shooting pains up through my knee even when im sitting down! It is actually worse when i am sitting, if im standing with no pressure on it its not as bad (cant really stand all day though)

glad to hear Griff is ok, and that you should have some answers on Amity soon.
when did your knee start hurting, in Melbourne or after the flight home?
Elmopalooza
10-10-2007, 23:30
Thanks FT. My knee first started to hurt in Sydney... The flight home was painful cos sitting for too long at a time hurts like hell.
Carrie - Yeah for the holiday at Hervy Bay.... How exciting... That is an extra kind gesture hey!!! I am sure you'll all have a wonderful time....
Lana - hope that knee of yours starts to improve. I had many knee problems as a teenager and had an operation on the right one when about 16 years old. It would dislocate all the time (NICE! Not!).... I get achey knees sometimes and thankfully the left one hasn't gone the same as the right.... I know what knee pain is like and it is really hard as you use your legs ALOT.... Hope the Dr can give you some 'easy' answers....
With the kids - glad Griffs ears aren't too bad, and hope that amity's tests come back with an answer as to why she is a little sore. Probably a tract infection, but best to have it checked out properley hey.
Taryn - Good on you Jacey....:yelclap: Little crawler hey... Ellery is trying, but hasn't mastered the legs part yet... She wasn't a fast roller, so thinking she could be a little slow on the crawling too....
Vicki - sounds like you're having a bad trot at the moment. I know that if i were pregnant now, I would be in 2 minds about it all.... I hope, for your sake, it is just your body getting back into routine after having A... I had a caesar also and I didn't know you should wait 2 years for another???
We are going to pac.fair today to meet with a friend for coffee. She has a 1.4 yr old - he's so quiet and adorable... Ellery just looks at him and he eyes her off to, but the other time they saw one another - they were playing footsies from their prams. Too cute hey.....
It is raining continuously here... We didn't get any major storms last night, but they're predicting some for today. Wait and see I guess. But it is definately a dreary one at the moment.
Ellery is still asleep (amazing) but that is probably because she didn't go to bed until about 8pm (she is usually asleep by 6pm).. I think she had a tummy ache as she had a little :barf: in her cot and on her pj's... So changed her and the bed then she wanted to play.... (aaaggghh) but I lied with her for a while and then she went to sleep in the cot no worries.....
Not sure what i'll do before meeting my friend - we usually go for a walk, but it is very wet. I have a great pram cover for E, she doesn't get a drop on her, but i will get rather wet... See how i feel - have been quite energetic lately, which is great (especially for me... ha ha)

Hello mummies
Not much happening here today, I've been out every day this week so we are staying in today. Which I secretly like as much as going out for the day as you just don't have to worry about packing baby bags and getting two or three people organised.iykwim.
DH has made a box trailer (clever boy) so we are trying organise registration for it which is more complicated than you can imagine...got to get it registered before next weekend as DH and my brother are going down to mum's to help her move up here....
Lana Welcome home, bet your glad to be back. The kids must have went crazy when they saw you. Hope your knee gets better soon....
Defaipe Great news on the wedding dress! Now just think about everything else you need to get...ahhhhhh don't want to scare you haha..:p
Nic Hope you are feeling better. It's normal to feel these things when we put them in daycare. Gosh I was upset when I put Elijah in for just 2 days a week and he was 2.5 yrs old LOL So I can imagine what your feeling plus more.
Did you get your high chair together yet?
Mel Congrats on Ellery getting her teeth through, and 2 at the same time...no wonder she had such a grizzely time with them.
Michaela How's the little *star* today? Any diva demands? hehe. Great thread on the bubby food. I think i'm a bit boring atm so any ideas would be great!!
Tayrn Hello, nice to hear from you!!! Great news to hear Jacey is crawling and trying to pull herself up the couch...wow clever girl...
Vicki How nervous you must be feeling. :) If you haven't had a period since August, why don't you do a test now? Do you have to wait a certain time? Just curious as I would want to know as soon as it's possible to find out..especially if I have the odd drink or anything like that. Hope it all turns out how you want! (or secretly want)
Carrie Great news on the trip :smiliedance: You must be so excited...what a nice family you have.
How's the week been with your friend and bubs there. Must be cute for the bubs to play together.
Is this weekend still on? Pm me.
Sarah GOOD LUCK :fingerscrossed: hehe
Hollie Great job with the KK's website
We are all proud like it's our baby growing and he/she just walked....well done!! :yelclap:

Good morning ...
Another disappointing day in regards to money ... dh didn't get paid sh!t all, haven't even paid the full electricity bill but at least I put some on it but not much left!
Lana - Yes we are sooo looking forward to our weekend away! Dave is looking fwd to fishing lol. Do you know what you did to your knee?
Mel - I think E will be slow too although since having Mason here she is all of a sudden sitting up so straight & so well! She just wants to follow him around lol. They flirt! It is sooo cute. she has been asleep for nearly 2 hours! Amazing!!
Sarah - Good luck for O!
Kel - Lol DH just bought a trailor base & is making the rest too! I emailed you about Sat, it is still on & I am sooo looking fwd to meeting sweet Noah! Is Elijah coming too or staying with his daddy? It is great having H & M here... Ella & Mason are in love so the wedding plans are running smoothly! They were cuddling on the floor this morning & everytime Mason would move away Ella would winge for him to come back! She has started dancing too like Mason & when I stand her up & sing "Shake your booty" she shakes her bum in a circle! haha. She likes pulling M's hair too but he puts his head in front of her to pull it! Too funny :)
Ok off to Carindale for lunch (or just coffee for me I think!) to meet MG so better go do some make-up, pack bags etc.
Byye!
D has diarrhea so ive spent the morning cleaning up sh!t off the floor. she doesnt quite make it in time to the loo coz her tummy cramps up(she does it on the toilet floor) its not her fault she is trying but i am so over this. she wont leave pull ups on either..
all i want right now is one week where none of us are sick!!!!!!!!!!!! you wouldnt think it'd be too much to ask:mad:

Anyone else brushing their baby's teeth?
Monty loves it!
we bought H a baby toothbrush and i give it to him while i brush my teeth (he's usually in his walker when i shower). he likes it. of course his teeth are barely through but its nice for him to get the idea!
lovely photo too, Monty is so grown up now! my little man is such a scrawn-o
ok really must hang washing...
Had a good time at pac.fair - but there were heaps and heaps of people lined up for something - i eventually asked what it was, and it was for the big day out... Not my thing - but there were SO MANY PEOPLE THERE. Heaps of police and security guards as well - bit crazy and hard to get around....
I got E some more pj's and bonds have the cutest little shorty shorts and stuff for girls. It was buy 1 get the next one 50% cheaper (or something like that) so that was a big bonus. I got her some purple and green shorty shorts - they're so cute..... Will get her a t-shirt or singlet next week.
She's had a touch of diarhhea, i thought it could be her teeth, but i've also introduced beans and cauliflower. Could it be that upsetting her tummy a bit? Have any of you mumies experienced that?????? She is eating it all fine, but it may not agree with her.
The weather's fined up for now - it was really wet this morning, but sunny and hot now. I have to go and hang out the delightful washing before Ellery wakes. She's been asleep for near 2 hours.... Unbelievable for my little bundle.....

 Well i just trawled through all the march posts from around thread number 3 - 7 to see if i could enlighten myself on when i started AF since A was born etc etc
So i did make a post stating i got my first post preg AF (After infection etc) on
02/06
So my AF's 'usually' every 28 days so i make them due approx
29/06, 26/07, 22/08, 18/09, 16/10
My last post mentioning an AF was that i had just finished one (posted 05/08) so i assume that was the 26ish July one.
Now my problem is as so long ago did i even have one around 22/08? So definately no AF for September.
So i could be 2 months pregnant, or If i had 22/08 and no sept around 4 weeks pregnant, or not pregnant.
So i guess i will go and buy a PT tonight. :( (Guess i am putting off the inevitable)
OH PLEASE COME AF!!!!:banghead:
AquaDevil78
11-10-2007, 18:30
So just went to Safeway and purchased a Clear Blue Digital HPT.... Can test anytime of day.
Just went to wee and guess what, within 1 min i got "PREGNANT"
(I guess we both knew this already)
Anyway we have decided that IF the Dr gives me the ok to go ahead with it, being 7 mths after a c-section we will keep it, Dp is sure it is a girl LOL.
Which could be true as this time i am getting MS, worse than with A.
So depending on when my last AF Was i am either just on 2 months ish or 6 weeks ish. Dunno how they will figure that one out. LOL
So im shocked even tho i knew deep deep down.

I'm sure you are in two minds about this...one being totally excited about another bubs (especially if girl) and the other being that your thinking this is too soon.
I hope the doc gives you the go ahead, I can't imagine he wouldn't. They probably just keep an extra eye on you or classify you as high risk???
As they say "these things happen for a reason" and that "it was meant to be"!!! I know this goes for you too :) ;)

Yucky taste in my mouth (Didn't have with A)

The only reason i know that you have to wait at least 2 years after having a c-section to fall pregnant again is if you are wanting to try a VBAC. If you are going to have another c-section though it should be fine.

i am currently pestering Al for an embroidered berry plush cover. it is $40 for JUST a cover but so very gorgeous... i'm going to wait til H's is a little bigger so i can get a large and it will fit for ages.
YEAH VICKI - :yelclap: I was crossing fingers for you - and i know it would be a huge shock, but congratulations to you.....
I thought i was pregnant last month, as i am usually a little early or right on the dot after Ellery.... I was thinking "OH MY GOODNESS"... We use the same method as you - and have tried to be careful, but accidents do happen..... and as others have said - was meant to be...... I had trouble falling with Ellery, and I've heard if that the case - alot of times it is easier (and accidental) with the next, so we've tried to be careful. I had a caesar as well - but didn't think you should wait for ages.... I hope the Dr gives you the all clear - I am sure everything will be fine....:D
Ellery was a little off colour last night. She had a slight temp. and runny poos after bottle... She didn't go down until 8.30pm... She slept through, so hoping she's a little cheerier today. Must either have a bug, or her teeth are making her feel off-colour.....
We got a storm at 1am this morning - alot of lightening and thunder, not much rain though. E didn't wake, just stirred a bit which was good. Suppose to get more today though.
Nearly the weekend everyone - any great plans? We have a fairly quiet one as we are busy next weekend with a friends 40th b'day bash. Hoping E will be asleep and then she can stay with mum, but my friend said if she was super sad - bring her as she's so young. It isn't a kids party (far from it) but he is a great, understanding friend..... I would prefer to leave her at home so DP and I can have some 'free' time.....
Still haven't heard on a definate date for settlement of the house....:hair: It is starting to get on my nerves, but nothing we can do about it.....
DP has half day today - so it will be nice to have him around... although, if it is raining, he gets pretty bored.... HHHMMM - might be better at work.. ha ha.
Lana - glad there is nothing major going on with the knee. Hoping it gets better soon and it is just a bit of 'over-use' whilst away. How did your DH go with the kids? I may have missed a post possibly....????
Michaela - how beautiful is Harper in the bambini shot.... I went and had a look and ended up ordering a shopping trolley thingey whilst there. BONUS - it was on sale.... YEAH
Ellery is calling...... Time for bottle

Thats wonderful news!
Yes a lil scary especially with the possibility of having twins coz of how close the og are BUT hey wouldnt that be awesome!
Now you will have to devide your time between us and another mummies group??? :D
Lana~ hahaha Spike it is, sorry to hear about your knee
O had his speech assesment and the therapist said his very bright and all his speech problems (pronunciation) are normal for his age BUT she wants to check him again at 3.6mths to ensure that its still normal coz by then he should have mastered the pronunciation of those words etc
Iris is no longer in her snuggle bed....its offical my baby is in the big cot:gloomy:
I heard her crying yesterday arvo (which she never does) so went to check on her and she'd rolled over in bed (still wrapped) and couldnt get back so was face planted and couldnt breath poor lil dear
so shes now in the big cot flying solo with no snuggle comfort
*sheds a lil tear*
ok im off, must clean this house and have shower
Ciao for now!

Hi Guys, well i am thinking now i should not have posted about my BFP, Because the more we have thought about it and talked about it, we are now in two minds again (like someone said earlier)... at first Dp was like sure why not, and may as well be now, and now he is like it will be hard for you have two so close together Antonio will be approx 13 mths and a newborn. YIKES, Plus we would have to get a new car as we have a crappy two door coupe at the moment, and i have no idea how we would be able to get a new one. Seeing as we are not exactly loaded. Plus i am now thinking i am just not ready for a number 2 yet. Dp does have a point i'm still learning and getting over becoming a mum in the first place.
So now i feel guilty for not being more reasponsible in the contraception dept.
I/we don't know what to do.. i said to Dp last night as he said do you want my final answer... i said think about it for a couple of days. I hate how he changes his mind like the wind, and goes from one extreme to the other and now i find myself doing the same thing.
If we decide not to, i will feel guilt and shame etc for having an Abortion something i have never been against but it is also not something i think oh yes thats a great idea. IFYKWIM
I don't want people hating me if we decide that path either.
Nemosmum... TWINS! God don't say that.

awww Vicki hun no one will hate you and if they do then thats there sh!t and nothing to do with you!
You are a wonderful person so dont feel bad about being undecided
yes I agree with you about abortion, Im not against it either but its not something I would be pleased to have like you said
BUT if you do decide thats whats best please know that there will be no one judging you,
when i was about 18 my bestie had an abortion and she asked me to go in with her (which of course I did)
it was hard but it was the right decision for her
she still thinks about her bub and you know what yes she even mourns the loss and I think thats very important,
I have to say still to this day i think shes the bravest women I know
you have to be brave too and do what feels right for you
what ever you decide we are all here for you:kiss: :hugs:

Thanks Nemosmum xx
Just made an appt for Dr's tommorow, so i can confirm pregnancy and also ask for a date scan as all i know for sure is my last period was end of july.. August i cant remember and def not on sept. So from what i have worked out i am either 11 weeks or 8 weeks ... i'd say 8 weeks as i am 70% sure i had AF in august and M/S Only started as other symptoms 2 weeks ago and from what i have read M/S Starts around 4 weeks gestation.
Plus i dont look almost 3 mths. Not that, that means anything LOL.
Either way what ever we decide to do i need to know.
God i am going to look like a right prat tommorow .. well sorry i have no idea if i had a period in august or not..
Hey Vicki, sending you a huge congratulations! I know it must be really hard for you. As Sarah said no one will judge you for making a decision that is right for you and your family. When I was 18 I had an abortion, it was incredibly hard but it was the right choice at the time. I hope everything goes well for you not matter what you decide to do. And remember we are all here for you, so talk away and if we can help out lets us know! :hugs:
I'll just catch up on the post and be back soon to reply

Thanks M2B ... i just want to crawl in a hole right now - damn hormones, i really can't decide. I need to take my mind of it. Yes, no, yes, no is driving me batty.
Plus it's not helping not knowing exactly how far along i am because as you know there is a time limit for a certain decision.
Anyway enough about me, sorry to hijack the thread.

Morning girls ...
Ella is actually having a sleep before swimming for once. She has been having long sleeps at about 8.30am the last 3 days so hope it keeps up!
I can't stay on & read the replies but I just saw that some congratulations are in order ...
CONGRATULATIONS AD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope everything goes well for you ... (I am secretly jealous lol).
When is your due date? Are you going to find out the sex? You will be able to join another thread now!
Best wishes hun & lots hugs your way xoxoxoxo
Off to swimming. BBL.
vickie i gotta say firstly.. you are doing an amazing job with antonio. and that parents never stop learning so dont worry that you're still getting used to being a mum. you would cope hun, yes it'd take time to adjust & juggle 2littlies but the good times will far outweigh the bad:yes:
bottom line its your decision and we'll all be there for you either way.:) i hope your drs appointment goes well.
D is better today.. M's at kindy. gotta take the little ones to the post office soon once A wakes up. then have some lunch and its nap time for D.
oh i forgot to mention.. the peapod started to leak this morning.. she was in it for 13hours tho with just the peapod insert and a booster.
Vicki we are all here for you, whatever you decide is best for your family :hugs:
Sarah oh big girl in the big cot! is it in your room or hers? Harper's been a lot better with his cot lately but often after his 4am-ish wake-up, i keep him all snuggled up with me. i love it Valentine
Michaela - how beautiful is Harper in the bambini shot.... I went and had a look and ended up ordering a shopping trolley thingey whilst there. BONUS - it was on sale.... YEAH
is it the sea life one? i got that one, Harper's room is a sea life theme so i had to have it! now i have the ergo, i never put him in the trolley lol. but when he is bigger...
oh i forgot to mention.. the peapod started to leak this morning.. she was in it for 13hours tho with just the peapod insert and a booster.
cool - 13 hours! Harper's night nappy is on for about the same but wayyyy more boosting, big wee-er that he is.
OMG i did a fitness test today at my exercise class, i thought i was going to spew. we had to run/jog/walk 2km (i jogged and walked) then 2 mins each of push-ups, sit-ups, shoulder presses, squats then he finished up with the horrible plank! it killed me!!
well i am off to have lunch with my friend and her baby girl (8.5mo). i was hoping to have a quick lay-down but i can hear my monkey talking in his cot so i don't think so!!
We are just about to be hammered by a storm. It was stinking hot before. Put the air-con on and Ellery's had the biggest sleep ever. Not sure if that's a great thing, could be up late tonight, but i think her tummy is still a little upset, so wanted her to rest.
Michaela - I think i got the fairy one, for a girl.... I can't wait until it arrives. Not sure if i'll use it yet - see how she goes.....
Hey - the fitness test sounds hard - it is awful when you push yourself that hard you think you're going to :barf:
Vicki - I can only imagine the amount of thoughts rushing through your head at the moment. I certainly will not be judging you if your decision is "Not at the moment"... I can understand your concerns, but in saying that - don't underestimate yourself either... I have a number of friends that have chosen to abort over the years, one when i was 3 months pregnant (i took her) and at the time, it was the best decision for her and her circumstances, although it not an easy decision.... Know that I, along with others, are here for you whatever path you take....
Defaipe - glad that D is feeling better and hope you were able to have some 'ME' time while M was at kindy....
Well, i think we missed the worst of that storm, but there are plenty coming along after this one judging by the bureau... So, still batten down the hatches......

Hi girls ...
Well had a good day today - had swimming then we got 2 dvd's (Georgia Rule & Stomp the Yard) so once we came home from swimming we gave the kiddies lunch & put them down for a nap (they both slept for about 1.5 hours!). We watched Georgia Rule & then I did cleaning ready for tomorrow so just have to vacuum & mop tomorrow after we pick H's dh up from the airport.
My baby beehinds then arrived late afternoon but 4 pul wraps weren't in the order, she'd accidently left them at home so getting those Monday. The others are in the wash as we speak!
I am so addicted to nappies that I have dreamt about them like 4 nights in a row lol. Obsessed!
I am going to put that obsession to good use (hopefully) but I need to find out where to start. This is my idea:
I am going to start my own business (from home) and do a website (such as baby blossom or darlings downunder) and sell all the different nappies from home. I will have to get a new computer, broadband & would have to get a new car which I can put signage on to have as another tax write-off. I may do parties with all the different brand nappies I will sell just in Brisbane, maybe eventually pay others to do that as well, see how it goes.
Does anyone know where I would start? I am thinking of calling my work & resigning then getting put through to David who I worked for as he has heaps of businesses & would possibly know where to start.
What do you all think?
I REALLY wanna do this - Hollie I can sell KK's for you!

DEFAIPE - How is D today? I hope she is feeling better - you are right, is just 1 week too much to ask for everyone to be healthy & happy? It must be so frustrating! Ella & Mason have both been sick with high temps & off food etc this week (E on Tues, M today) so must be a 12-24 hr bug not teeth like I thought originally. A must be a heavy wetter - I actually didn't put a wool soaker over E's peapod (red!) tonight as they keep her sooo dry! Also, isn't there a Kindy section in her daycare?
SARAH - I know what I am getting my SS so I just need to actually get it ... when do we have to post it again? I also have to get a SS for MG ... I won't post the name in case they are members on here & read it ...
HOLLIE - GORGEOUS PIC OF MONTY!! Yes I had an ok time at MG but just got 1 salad. I wanted a filo & salad but it was $6.95 for the filo + $5 for 2 salads!! There was a salad plate which was 2 salads for $5 but I said no, just one so she did it for $3 and I got a bottle of OJ so just paid $6 all up. The salad was great though.
No, we aren't brushing Ella's half tooth (another is about to pop through though). I wasn't sure when to start? Some ppl say you should brush their gums anyway ... do you use toothpaste? I really should start ... even just to get her used to it.
You will be on your way to Melbourne now I'd assume. Have a great time & post some pics of you yummy mummies & the gorgeous boys ... And the climb!
MEL - Oh I guess we are gonna miss out on BDO tickets then! We were thinking about going with BIL & SIL. I think the hot weather has had an effect on the babies sleeping as Ella has been having nearly 2 hr naps in the morning, 1 hour plus after lunch and today she even had another around 3.30! She never sleeps after lunch! I like!!
MICHAELA - AAAAWWWW!!!! Harps is soooo adorable! Does he get paid? Lol. You will have to show me this BP cover - even though I have NO money left! I am waiting on a Bubba J hemp fitted and an Ecobubs one. Then that's it for ages ... I saw the perfect storage thing for my nappies in spotlight reduced to $70 from $100. If you want the link let me know. Dave is gonna laybuy for christmas for me!
VICKY - Sorry I didn't get to say much before. I am sure you are feeling nervous, excited, worried, anxious, happy all at once. I am a big believer in everything happening for a reason. I am sure everything will work out just fine, you are a great mum & Antonio will enjoy having a baby brother or sister to play with. The CHN was asking me the other day when we were trying again & I told her I wanted to in December (so worse part is in Winter not summer!) & she believes babies close together are easier for the fact that the older sibling doesn't remember being an only child so you don't really experience the jealousy problems etc. You will have to buy A a doll when he is a bit older to teach him how to act with a baby! I am sooo happy for you! Big hugs ooooo
I had all those symptoms you have! I do miss being prg but when you remind me about those things ... I remember the metallic taste in my mouth would make me spew & I'd fall asleep on the train - moreso to stop me spewing as it was express to the city! Can you imagine? I am glad your mum is happy for you! When will you see an ob & have the dating scan?
LANA - What's Spike? I hope your knee is feeling a lot better ... your hol must seem a long time ago already!
YAY for another cloth convert!!!!!
Who else can we turn?? Sarah ... Vicki ... Mel ... Is that all? Wow!
Ok off to do dishes & watch Stomp the Yard. It's Haylie's last night ... I am gonna miss them!!
Good night!
hey all, hope you're well! to all the lovely bubbas.
I get to meet Hollie tomorrow :smiliedance:
Hope to be on here more next week, I miss my daily catch-up!

Vicki - OMG :smiliedance: Congratulations!!!! How exciting and scary all at the same time. I am sure you would cope with another one so close however like all the other girls I will support whatever decision you make. There are pros and cons for close or spaced apart siblings so just go with what you think is best. WOW.
hmm i need to decide when to pull M out of daycare to start kindy.. any ideas?! she starts kindy in feb. i was thinking pulling her out just before christmas.. but then she'll have nothing going on january.. not even sure what day school starts next year.
Defaipe - I had intended to give Ryan a break from daycare last Christmas just for a few weeks, but when January came he was just so bored that i rang them to see if they had enough staff for him to come back early and they did (thankfully). If M loves daycare then I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to stop it. (of course $$$ does come into the equation)

Don't forget about me... I've just ordered a greenkids one for nights while I wait on the Krap Katcher ones I am bidding on :D. Stay tuned...
Just a quick one - Matthew is hollering . Went to Paediatrician today re a multitude of complaints but mainly a rattly chest. Got to go for some xrays in a couple of weeks so hopefully all will be okay.
Still no dummy - 8 days and still counting. Night sleeps are a bit better but still not real great. Gotta go... talk later.
Carrie i want to do the same sort of shop here in perth! i've been thinking about it for a few months, theres nothing over here :( i had a tarot reading and she said i would have a successful business idea to do with children!!
the embroidered bps are on the jamtots website (US), you can get any colour then choose embroidery - i want mother earth with a dragon.
Sharon! greenkids & kk! wow, so many cloth mummies, its great.
ok i'm gonna call Al now :D
michaela you're right.. there is nothing in perth. if you did something like that it'd be crazy!! you'd have orders left right and center! plus if its nappies you know all the goss. cant go wrong!!
carrie, like with michaela i think the business is a great idea! there is a kindy at the daycare.. she' in the kindy room now. i want her at a proper school tho.. i still dont really like 'daycare' dont know why coz its done wonders for M. i guess i just feel slack coz i dont work or anything. oh and lastly kindy wont cost me $75 a week lol. plus she gets a uniform :D
i'll be sure to take lots of pics tomorrow of M in her teeball uniform..
sharon well done with the dummy! yeah the money does play a part i guess.. epecially around christmas!
im going to go check out greenkids nappies now! lol
A pooped in the peapod, i had a disposable liner in it but that did nothing lol. i put it in the wash a couple of hours later and it came up perfect. i was shocked. no stains no nothing! and i love putting clothies on her! cant wait for the KK. i just know it'll be gorgeous.
Could be an interesting day today. Ellery was still a little out of sorts before bed - and had HUGE sleeps during the day... Could be the heat or that she's a little out of sorts, then DP's been up during the night :barf: . I think he's got a tummy bug as I am feeling ok for now. I hope i don't get it..... Not good. He looks dreadful and never gets sick. He was rushing to the general bathroom, but at 12.30am, I said i'd go into the spare room, then he could use the ensuite etc... Plus, we would like to avoid me getting it if possible.... Hoping E is a little better today - poor little mite. I've had the pino-clean out and wipinig everything to try and avoid me getting it and/or Ellery. Not sure if he may have gotten it off her... Can never tell... Could be a looooong day... He doesn't complain much - but he also doesn't cope too well.....
We were going to go and have a look at some outdoor settings today for the new house - but i don't think that'll be happening. We are wanting something different and as the outdoor area is quite large - we're thinking of getting like 'day beds' with a low table so we can chat, watch tv etc... in comfort - then have a stool set (4 seater) for the odd occassion we sit outdoors to eat.... I am not sure where DP's seen these - thinking probably a-mart or harvey norman or something..... Sounds nice and it is a bit different.
Not sure if i said that we'd sold the boat. It is a 16.5m with a cuby cabin, and we were getting worried it wouldn't sell - but it has...:smiliedance: Poor DP will have to crawl out of bed as I don't have a boat license and the guy needs to pick it up at the boat ramp down from us. (takes about 10-15mins on boat due to 6knot limit).... The buyer of our place has a real flashy boat - I think it's about a 25-30m boat with all the bells and whistles... So, he has to pontoon there ready to launch it when he gets here.
Hope we here of an early settlement date soon, I am getting impatient.
Sharon - hope Matthew goes alright with the x-rays. Poor little man hey..... Hope the paed was able to give you some insight into what's going on though.
Carrie - I think the heat knocks ellery around a bit too. although she's a little off colour, she slept for like 2.5 hours yesterday arvo and would have slept longer if we didn't wake her..

Defaipe~ regarding daycare, I guess its up to you when you pull her out but take into consideration she might get bored in that 6wks or so, you might enjoy time alone with your two other angels and she may also need a break before starting full time schooling?
gd luck with it

Hi Girls,
Well Dp and i are still undecided.. god talk about tough decisions.
I'm an idiot with dates LOL i am either 7 weeks (most likely) [edd 01/05 ish)or worst case 11 weeks. [28/05ish](Worst if decide to u know, as time limit) Anyway i am off to the Dr's at 10:10am this morning, to discuss getting a date scan asap, and also discuss my concerns re: can i have a safe pregnancy, due to having a c-sect, infection, low iron etc etc. I want to make sure i am not putting my health at risk, or if i am a risk for rupture and whether or not i will have to have another c-sect or if i can try for a vbac. Then will have to think about it some more based on his opinions.
Thank you all for your support, very much appreciated i will let you know how i go at the Dr's.

What do I do now? Lol.
Well I am disappointed as UCW party isn't going ahead as it would've only been me, mum, & 2 SIL's so gonna have it on a Thurs for MG and when ppl aren't working. I did all that cleaning for nothing! But prob would've done it anyway when H left (leaving shortly). I was stressing about nothing!
Hi GIN - hope you have a lovely time with Hollie today :)
Sharon - Yay I hope you turn too ... it's spreading!
Hope Matthew is ok!
Vicki - Good luck today, hope it goes well.
Hollie - I need your help!! I really want to start this bus.

oh carrie no toothpaste for the first tear I was told?!?
It's funny that you dream of mcn's cause I do too haha, quite often aswell....those evil things trying to tempt us to buy more, LOL not that I mind but the savings account does......I say go ahead with the business, I actually would love to work from home too; but what to make, what to sell????? have to do some serious thinking.................
I won my KK too :smiliedance: looking foward to using it at night time....
Vicki Thinking of you, how did you go at the docs? Any closer to a decision? All I can say is do whats best for you and your dp. Remember it's your life, your body, your decision!!! xoxo
Mel Hope your DH is feeling better and that it's just a 24 hr bug...definetly hope you or Ellery don't get it.
Sounds like your outside entertaining area will be lovely!!! Just imagine E peacefully asleep and you (and your dh)lol can sit and relax on one of your new lovely day beds, nice glass of wine, sun shining, soft cool breeze blowing ohhhhh how relaxing!!!!! enjoy whatever you purchase.
Sharon Well done on the dummy! Just a warning once you try a few mcn's you will become addicted LOL best thing since sliced bread haha
Gin & Hollie Hope you guys are having a nice time! What did you have planned? Ohh gotta get photos of those two boys together...
Lana Glad to see you got home safe...do you need a holiday to get over that holiday? LOL got any photo's????
Ok off to get slowly ready to go to a farewell dinner tonight for my nephew and his GF as they are heading over to China to teach English for a year...how exciting for them. wish I had done something like that.

 Girls,
Went to the Dr's and he seems to think i would have had a period on 22 Aug(or around that date when it was due) which makes me just over 7 weeks. He said as my m/s started 2 weeks ago that it coinsides better, plus i told him next was due 18th Sept etc.
So we discussed everything i had concerns about and he said there is no medical reason why i cant have this baby.
He said that midwife care may not be an option as i had "complications" last time ie: anterior placenta previa. So i need to call Hospital and see what kind of care i will need. (If we decide to go ahead).
He said the only reason i would need another c/sect is if i get Placenta Previa again... he said high chance i will because once you have it, normal for it to happen again.
No worry about uterine rupture. Also said that if i dont get p p again then there is no reason why i cant try for a VBAC.
I also mentioned my iron levels due to probs i had after c-sect and so i went for blood tests today after Dr's incase we do decide to keep it and i can get results next week, inclucing iron levels.
So that's where it is at, at the moment.
Now we just have to make the decision.
Oh and i did ask three times about a date scan as not 100% sure and he said no need until 12 weeks, i cant remember why.. he is pretty sure im only 7 weeks with an EDD 29/05/08.
Hey!
Sorry Carrie about your UCW party, I was just about to get ready and come as DH came home with the car. We went to mum's last night after work cause DH went to the movies with his mum, then meet me there afterwards, but he had a few drinks so I had to drive home so he had to take the car to work today. We still have to go to mum's house and pick it up! The 15th sounds good though, I don't work on Thursdays YAY! The business idea sounds fantastic Carrie! Hopefully you can start getting some info together to see what needs to be done.
I was thinking about converting to MCN, but with working full time I am not too sure cause of all the washing. How many MCN's do you go through a day? Is it a hassle with extra washinng? How much would it cost to start off? Is there one I could buy just to try when I am home on the weekends?
Aqua, well it's sounds like you had a great chat with your doctor and hopefully you can still get your date scan to confirm dates. I have been thinking about you and hope you can come to the right decision. When I had an abortion I had to have councilling before I made the decision, maybe you could make an appointment with someone in your area who can help provide you with information for either choice. Or just to talk to someone might help you work through your thoughts. :hugs:
Madi is so sooky today, she is crying on and off all day, don't know what she wants. Might make her some veges, maybe she's hungry. I gave her some fruit salad gel before and she loved it, maybe she's just hot and tired.
Have a great weekend!

Hi from Melbourne.
So far ... cr@p trip.
I had a coffee this morning and asked speicifcally no milk, etc, i got a soy latte but i dont think she cleaned the milk frother jug.
Within about 2 minutes I could tell there were traces of milk and had to rush to a chemist to get an Epi pen.
I had to cancel my meetng with BG!!
back on tomorrow though, sorry for stuffing you aroud BG.
Cant believe how sever my reaction was, I've managed to avois anything with milk for the last 4 years and three times in about 3 months I've had something with mmilk in it.
I had to rush back to the hotel and get my ventolin, took me about 1 hour to be able to breath again.. Scary stuff!
ok now but have a really bad blocked up nose form it and puffing red head.
I wont climb today but will tomorrow, my leg is sore from jabbing it with the epi pen.
I've never used one before and thhe pharmasist didn;t know how to either, i had to wait 5 minutes before she read the instructions..
AD! That sounds like good news!
Mel, I hope Ellery is doing better.
Shezi and Kel Sharon I'll email you tomorrow night :)
Better go back to my climbing buddies..
See you tomorrow BG!!! (and Kes :) xx
hollie i hope you're feelng better. must be horrible going through that!
im thinking of buying one of these trial packs.. worth it do yous think?? http://greenkids.com.au/Packages.htm its the first one. im thinking lilac & magenta. i just wanna get to full time cloth as quickly as possible without spending a fortune.

Hi lovely mums & bubs
Had a lazy arvo at home, dh has been so good today, got up early to go fishing but his bro pulled out but got up anyway & got E up etc etc. He changed EVERY nappy today except one gross poohy one I got stuck with lol. It was the most feral stinky one ever in the history of poo's! Woops ... TMI!
This arvo I watched some eps of the Nanny (my sis's got first 2 seasons on dvd she leant me) then I had a nap, fed & bathed Ella etc, hang some washing & here I am ...
I am sad as I miss Haylie & Mason :(
KELLIE - That's fine about today - it'll be on the 15/11. So keep it free! Lol. We are sad aren't we? Dreaming of MCN's? I should stat a thread & see who else does or if we are just weirdo's lol.
Enjoy the farewell tonight! One of my good friends & her mum (our mum's met at anti-natal classes with us & we're 3 weeks apart in age!) are coming to visit Monday as she is going to work o/s on yachts for this millionare who lives in Florida doing housekeeping. I'd luv to go o/s but couldn't do what heaps of ppl i know did/do & pack up & go with no money, on their own and work/live. A holiday would be lovely though! She is having her farewell at an RSL on the 20th & starting from lunch so said to bring E along but we aren't going to go. Will miss her heaps.
MEL - How's your DH? Hope he is better & like Kel said, that you & E don't catch it.
VICKI - I am glad your dr's appointment went well, your dr sounds like he is really good.
Like others have said, we will support you whatever you decide, your body, your baby & your decision but can I just add that my best friend has been trying for a baby for mths & had a couple of m/c's and has just found out she has fertility probs (luteral -sp?- period) (even though she fell prg with #1 after 3 mths of trying - apparently the dr said this was a miracle given the probs) and would kill to be in your position right now.
I am not trying to preach to your or anything or influence your decision, just make sure you have a reeaaalllly good think about this before making a final decision, which I am sure you will!
NIC - I'm glad you can make the 15/11! Maybe the bubs will be crawling by then! Oh no! LOL. With MCN's I still say it's the best thing I ever did. We go through as many a day as we do with sposies - I generally change E every bottle time so about every 3 hours. But it depends on if M is a heavy wetter or not. I find it no extra hassle as having a reflux bub I generally do washing (her clothes & mine!) every day. Sometimes every 2nd.
I got my baby beehinds yesterday! Just waiting on the pul covers she forgot so getting them on Mon. She has a bb on now with a bamboo booster tri-folded between the nappy & the pink wool wrap. I will prob get my last fluffy mail Mon as well (I hope!). I am broke but have enough to go full-time. I have been going full-time for a while but having to wash every day or so but now I could go every 2nd or 3rd day. I have about 25 now (including swim nappy) plus 2 coming in the mail.
HOLLIE - OH NO!!! That is sooo terrible! How hard is it for ppl to follow a simple request? Especially when it is possibly life-threatening. That annoys me so much! Did you take Monty with you to Melbourne? Hope the rest of the trip turns out well. I emailed you re the KK & payment...
DEFAIPE - I have 1 Greenkids (lilac) nappy. The colour is beautiful, easy to use and I'd luv some more of those too! That pack looks awesome! I want!! Hehe :)
Ok I have to go & have dinner (fried rice).
Good night!
xoxoxo
hmm i need to buy more inserts i think.. its so hard knowing what to buy.. i have the nappy hollie made D for swimming, now she's toilet trained tho A is going to use it so if i buy an insert and liner she'd be good to go!
quick q. are liners a must? i use disposable ones at night but it does nothing A's poo went straight through it. might get some washable ones but then i think whats the point when im washing the nappy anyway..
im thinking of buying the 2 pack i posted before.. and i'll be getting the krap katcher soon. so that'll be 5 nappies. i need to be good till the girls birthdays. as long as i know everything is paid for there then i can spend!!
carrie sounds like your hubby stepped up today! must be nice to just have a lazy day. i feel for your friend who is struggling to have a bub.
enjoy your meet tomorrow hollie & gin.
M started teeball today. she looked so damn cute! there was one little boy there.. same age as M and he wacked the ball! it was hilarious. he did better than most kids double his age!! i think he's been training with his brothers haha.

yeah i do want to meet, i have to tell you it looks like i wont be able to make it to the girls party, but i REALLy want to meet you and the girls, and LL/harps/Elmo/Griff etc.
Plus i want to get something nice for the girls birthday, and i want to give it to you rather than send it, cos you've all been so nice to me and i want to meet you etc. I am trawlling all the nice baby sites each night trying to find a perfect little something for their birthdays, but it's hard not knowing the girls.
ok, so lets see when the other girls are free huh? we could go for coffee somewhere in the middle of everyone - closer to you cos you have 3 kidlets to organise, and i am the only one north anyway.
ps - dont think you can all convert me to MCN, when we meet - i'm a sposie girl thru and thru :) ha ha ha.
:laughing:i used to think like that about nappies too! i thought bugger that im not going to make more washing for myself.. im not that stupid. clearly i am :D
thats ok about the party. thanx for letting me know :)dont worry about getting the girls anything! i'll be sure to take lots of pics to show ya. alexander could of had his first pony ride haha.
i dont mind where we meet. im free mondays wednesdays & thursdays. and weekends

we have Harper's naming day oct 21 so i'm pretty busy next week but i'm free the following wed arvo or thurs all day. you girls can come over for a cuppa & look at my nappies :D (you don't have to, FT!! hehe)
defaipe Harper is looking forward to his first kids birthday party, he's been to adult ones and finds them boring lol
i have that greenkids pack, very good. i use the anytimes at night no leaks ever. you can buy an insert for the LT nappy from them too

I am up for a meet and am also free on either a Wednesday or Thursday (as well as Mondays and Tuesdays).
Poor little Amity has an E-coli Urine Infection... Not entirely sure what it is (thinking maybe diff name for UTI?) so my doc has left the antibiotic prescription at the chemist for me.
I bought a new pram today. It is a twin stroller so that i can walk to the shops with both kids and not have to worry about Amity running onto the road.
Hollie - You poor thing! You havent had much luck with your allergies lately... Its all those stupid people that take your order but just dont listen  Hope you are feeling better tomorrow and you enjoy your catchup with Gin and Kes. Oh and enjoy your climb too! ;)
Vicki - Great news from your doc! At least now you know that if you two do decide to keep it that it will be ok.
defaipe re the liners, i didnt use them much when his poos were sloppy, we have the little squirt attached to the toilet for spraying. now i use fleece liners coz he does real poo. its much easier to clean up now i must say! just throw in loo. stinks tho :barf:
and the business - i part of me would love to do it but the other part doesnt want to get involved now with Harper and hopefully another baby soon, it might be too stressful!! and i also worry what if we borrow money, invest in it then it doesnt work out, or i couldnt put enough time in then lose our money? that would suck...
hey Lana! oh poor Amity, i hope the antibiotics do their job quickly.
so perthies i will pm you.

Well - yesterday was a day that ended up being loong, worrying and tiring...
DP went downhill during the afternoon. I needed to get nappies and was getting rather worn out, so I took Ellery out and had a sausage roll and custurd tart as i was starving - got the nappies and when i got home - DP was quite unwell. He could hardly speak and was in alot of pain in his joints and had a stinking h'ache. I got him stuff from the chemist and he drank it - within 20 mins he bought it all up!!!!!!! So, he didn't want to, but i said that i think it was time for the hospital.. I gave E a bath then gave her bottle - she had 50 ml, then SUPER RUNNY POO... Great..... By 6.15pm we were off to the hospital. I didn't got to the closest private, as E was showing symptoms of the same thing and they don't have a childrens ward - so the other is about 10-15mins away. All was ok, but DP was not well. I've never seen him so sick and he has a high pain threshold... anyway, they were quite busy but the poor thing had to wait about 45 mins (thankfully they got him a bed when he was near passing out on me in the chair outside!) but he was in so much pain, he nearly got up and left to come home and take panadol.....
Ellery was ok - but she hadn't eaten much and was tired. The Dr was lovely - checked E first being the smaller of the two.... The nurse couldn't find veins in DP as he was quite dehydrated... She had to be brutal to get the needles in ready for a drip!!!!! Ellery is pretty good, but have to give her little bottles and no solids, just try and judge it and give her some hydralite so she doesn't dehydrate.... Once they got the drip started - DP started to feel a little better after 15 mins.... I took E out for a walk in the pram as it was noisy and really light in there and she couldn't sleep. I ended up sitting in the hallway of the main hospy with E's pillow, closing my eyes.... After DP resting and having fluids - we could leave at 10pm... Needless to say I was dead tired, but he looked and felt 100 times better, although not wonderful...... I slept in the spare bed, will change the main bedding this morning. He's slept well during the night, along with Ellery. I think my mum is coming down today as she was really concerend. She was involved in a musical last night, so she felt bad not being able to rush down.
Must say, felt a bit wierd that it was just DP, Ellery and I, bit lonely and scary... But, all is good. The Dr said that if i was going to getit, her thought i would already have it - cross fingers i don't.....
So - am weary and will be a slow day. No looking at furniture yesterday, but plenty of time for that....
Sorry for the me post.
Hollie - hope you are feeling much better today - that is terrible that the coffee shop couldn't cope with a request like that, and then you had to handle it all due to their laziness.... You take care....
mel wow what a day! im glad your hubby is feeling better. and i hope ellery doesnt get any worse and that you dont catch it at all!
i hope amity is feeling better lana!
love the pics michaela.

Good morning
Quite peaceful here today - dh is at work so just me & E at home. I gotta put her carseat in the car & prob after her next bottle will go get a couple of things from Woollies.
This morning I sorted through Ella's drawers (again!) and put away socks, singlets, All in ones, long pants/leggings that are now too small for her. She needs new socks & singlets! I then emptied the bottom drawer (which used to have winter suits in there & wondersuits etc then boosters, covers & togs), put her togs in the top drawer, and put her blankets from under the change table in the bottom drawer. Except her Gossamer Wings dooner wouldn't fit so I will keep in play room as she plays on that anyway. So then I put all her MCN's on bottom shelf of changetable and emptied nappy stacker of towelling nappies & put those on bottom shelf also, put boosters & covers in nappy stacker & hang that on the cot (behind changetable so easier than on cupboard door), and lined her shoes up on 2nd shelf of changetable in front of her cane baskets. I haven't even been able to put shoes on her lately as her feet are too chubby! LOL.
Mum is booking our w/e away today & even though my aunty hasn't put the $ in my bank account yet because mum & dad are staying 2 nights & us 3 (no longer 5 as E has a paed appt on the Tues we have to be back for) we are essentially only paying for 2 nights. This is the link:
http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hotel=W39891&page=2&viewType=all
I REALLY wanna start my business. Hopefully I will be able to get things organised to start in say Jan/Feb '08. Any name suggestions if I go ahead?
Replies in next post!

DEFAIPE - I don't use an insert in Hollie's swimming nappy. It'd absorb the water. As for liners, I use Johnsons disposable plus washable. I use the disposable ones a lot & wash a couple of times (if wet) or throw out if poohy. Ella has been doing gross poo's though right up the back of her nappies (but not out of the nappy - it is still contained) but I just rinse the nappy. I bought washable liners from Woollies as so cheap and really soft. A converted friend at MG bought about $5 worth of fleece from Spotlight & cut them into about 24 pieces to use as liners.
With my BBB stuff I got 2 x 5 pack of re-usable wipes. Does anyone else use these & do you just keep some water by the changetable to use?
Glad M liked tee-ball. I loved playing that when I was about 10 at school.
FIRSTTIME - If you just buy 1 MCN you will be addicted for life!!
MICHAELA - I haven't used my greenkids at night yet. I have 1 & luv for day times! Do you just use the insert & the booster (I have hourglass shaped bamboo insert plus bamboo booster). What inserts are you using for when you get your KK? I don't know, I suppose I could use one of my peapod boosters and BBB bamboo boosters. Or do I need an insert as well?
I want that greenkids pack too!
LANA - Poor Amity! I hope she recovers soon enough. You will have to post a pic of your new pram!
MEL - Oh gosh what a night you had! I am glad your DP is feeling a lot better & hope Ellery is too. Big hugs to you xo

Mel whoooaahhh what a day!!!! I bet you are so glad to be home safe and sound...
Your poor DH, hope he feeling better.
Scary feeling isn't when its all up to you when everyone else is sick, you do seem to manage, sortof go on outo pilot, be strong without realising. It's when you get home from the hospital, you slump on the chair and let out a big sigh.....you think holy sheets, did all that just happen!!! Helps prepare us for the next time (ahhhh)yes, there will be more:)
Defaipe Have fun with those twins, how cute!
Michaela Love the photos! Harps is one little spunk!! btw love the blue bubblebubs  hehe
Lana Hope the antibiotics clear up the prob really quickly, poor little A...
Hollie Hope all is better today! Next time i'd suggest watching them make the coffee, just to be sure... I can say from being a barista (past) that we normally have a seperate jug for soy milk and soy milk only. I would say there may have been smidge of normal milk in the air nozzle that froths the milk. If it only takes a smidge for you to react then Id say that was it...unless of course she had no idea and did not clean out the jug properly or mixed milks??? Must be a real bugger for you!:) Have fun climbing today!
I was lucky enough to have a lovely sleep in this morning til 8.00am WOW Thanks honey  mind you I still had to feed kiddies when I woke up,LOL. I'm sure I could hear Elijah asking me over and over "can I have pancakes" maybe I was dreaming...oh well toast and yoghurt will do.:D

Carrie Enjoy your lazy day today!
I too have to sort out Noah's cloths...I keep putting it of, I still have winter bodysuits filling up one drawer and blankets in the bottom drawer...I really need to do it as I have new and summery clothes just sitting on top of the chest of drawers...washed and folded but they need their home LOL.
Your holiday looks lovely!!! I love beaches anywhere so it definetly looks like somewhere I'd want to go too....Have fun lucky duck!!!
Regarding the reusable wipes; I have a basket thingy that all my wipes go in and I use foamy wipes wash with my wipes. You can get fww from bubblebubs, it comes in a concentrate with foam pump bottle and you add 20mls of ffw to 180mls water and when you press down on the nozzle it foams out either on your wipe or on bubs butt....it is 100% natural!!! I haven't bought baby wipes in ages  And for my nappy bag I use a wet wipe in a zipseal bag, one of my thicker wipes...I do have a small container of Aromababy wipes just i case...they are natural, alcohol free and organic with natural vitamin E. :)

Kel where did you get that gorgeous Elmo mcn?? I love it!
Mel - Omg! Your poor DH and Ellery! I hope they are both feeling a lot better today. Must have been very scary for you!
Defaipe - Have fun with the twins today! Did you end up getting some pics of M in her tee-ball outfit?
Carrie - I need to go through Griffs drawers too. I just store all the clothes that are too small for him in nappy boxes lol... Although im running out of room to store all the boxes really fast!
Im still in my pj's lol. Im tidying up the house today cos it looks like a bomb has hit it. I hate it being messy.
MCN Mummies - Out of all the nappies in your stash, which one do you find the best? (absorbency, fit, easy to use etc...)
afternoon ladies
hope everyone's having a good day, lovely weather here!
Mel what a scary experience for you, hope your DP is better soon and that the bug stays away from you and E!
Carrie um i am pretty slack, mostly still use sposie wipes but i do keep cloth wipes in the bathroom and just wet them to wipe him for just wees.
re pocket night nappies like greenkids or krap katchers - i like to have a microfibre+bamboo or hemp. 3 layers of micro and 6+ of bamboo/hemp (eg-a peapods insert with a micro booster would work well...)
Lana my fave daytime nappy is bumgenius, i add a bamboo booster behind the microfibre that it comes with. they are great coz they are absorbant AND trim. i love blueberry too but they are chunkier :) and of course berry plush are my absolute fave coz they are too darn gorgeous.
firsttime i have emptied my inbox!
ok well i am in the middle of scrubbing the pantry, oh joy... i've scrubbed it all but Harps started whingeing before i got to put everything away so my kitchen is a mess.

KEL - LUV the stash! You have heaps of show-off nappies - I want more show-off nappies ... I have no printed ones, only actual show-offs are my 2 BP's.
What brand are the prints?
LL - I am using Curash wipes, they are the best & I have a pack of Swispers in my nappy bag atm. I have Huggies for emergencies but I don't like them & they give E nappy rash. I think water is just fine for the wipes hey? But I would still use sposie wipes for poohs!!
OMG how weird ... I have been watching a couple of eps of my sister's the nanny dvds today & it's just come on channel 9 and it's the last ep I watched today lol.
Ella did 2 runny poo's today (TMI!). Last was just liquid so I washed nappies today already. How gross - & on a washable liner! I wanna get those flushable liners. I might order some.
Lana - as for fave nappies I love my BP's for show-off under a pretty t-shirt or dress, I love Baby Beehinds bamboo fitteds which she lives in at home (& now will take with me out as I have covers now), yet to try my 2 baby beehinds magic-alls but look great, bumgenius are great for out, same with Peapods. Peapods are great night nappies as well as sandmans ... Oh and my Greenkids!!
Michaela - I only use the microfibre insert which came with BG nappies no booster. Maybe I should, I have 5 bamboo ones from BBH now. With the GK & KK where did you buy your microfibre inserts from? Can you email me a link?
Ok gtg ... look at DD ... having withdrawals!
Happy Sunday everyone! :D
Mel-what a shocker, so glad to hear you are all OK after that, must have been very scary!
Lana-poor Amity, is she old enough to drink cranberry juice to help clear out the system? (Actually, she may just spit it up, pretty full on flavour! LOL)
Carrie-hope you're not too lonely without Hayley there, it must have been great to have a whole week together!
LL-Gorgeous photos! Love that last one, I am in love with the carefree sleeping baby pose, totally flaked out :o
I am just home from a lovely trip to see Hollie! It was so nice to have a good ol' chat, and she kindly held Kes most of the time, hehe, a nice break for my arms! I'll have to go to Sydney though now, as I'm dying to meet Toadlet even more after hearing more about him, and the rave reviews of the other Sydney bubs ;) :p
Off again to my Aunt's for a family get-together, will probably come on tonight unless Kes cracks.
P.S.-Lana, I adore my BabyBeehinds Bamboo for fit and absorbency, but that's only because I don't have a Krap Katcher yet! LOL
Hi... Thanks for all the get well wishes for Ellery and DP.... E's alot better today, along with DP - but he is very lethargic and washed out. Still a bit of the runs but now vomiting (thankfully)... He hasn't eaten alot, but the Dr said 'Lots of Fuit' so he'll turn into a banana or orange soon enough. He is an awful colour though - and they think it was the Novo virus he had... Not going to work tomorrow (even though he thought he was???) as nurses in the family said, he could easily collapse or re-lapse, and his body is run down, so easy to catch other nasties.... So, he's home tomorrow..... Ellery's been out of sorts a bit - but no big poos after each bottle. She was extremely tired and her routine was shot, so i think that had alot to do with her little 'episodes' during the day.
My mum came down which was nice. We got the washing folded and the linen washed... Just someone here with me and help with E - we went down to the local for a pizza at lunch - didn't want to eat in front of DP... He so wanted McDonalds for dinner - but I said NO WAY :shame: makes you go to the loo at the best of times. I know he's hungry... Poor thing....
So hoping the family is on the mend now. I am feeling quite tired, but had a sleep with E and DP this afternoon..... Not long out of bed now actually..... Hoping E sleeps through...
Gin - glad you had a nice catch up with Hollie.....
Defaipe - hope the day with the twins went well.
Kellie - I am a bit lazy, use either curash or huggies wipes. I go to "Nappy Palace" in southport area, lots cheaper there in bulk... I don't always get there though - that's usually when i use curash.
Glad you had a nice sleep in this morning.

Mel, glad things are improving for you :)
Boosters/Inserts/Stuffers - has anyone used Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds http://www.babysoftlandings.com.au/catalog/hemp-babies-bigger-weeds-p-178.html
I also am thinking I will buy 4 more cotton babies inserts (ones that come with BG pockets) since the pockets dry so quick then I won't have to put inserts in dryer as should have some spare and could maybe use them in other nappies (ie my KK when I get it!) or add them as an extra booster for night.
Let me know what you think. OR should I buy more peapod inserts & night boosters?

:hugs:'s Mel, you must be relieved that they are both getting better.
Well Dp and i have come to a decision, and we have decided we are both not ready for another little one so soon, for me i don't feel my body is ready yet, nor am i emotionally ready, i'm still becoming a first time mum and i want to enjoy Antonio for a while longer before we consider giving him a brother or sister. Body wise it just does not feel right, i cant put my finger on it, but i want to be at optimal health for a new bubs/pregnancy.
It has been a very hard choice to make and i have spoken to a lot of people online and in real life.
I really hope you can all understand and not resent me for what we have decided, believe you me i am angry with myself/us for not being careful and for me even having to make this choice, it wont be something i will enjoy that is for sure.
Thank you girls again for all your support so far, it has been a god send.
I am booked in to have the procedure done this coming Friday.. i am not looking forward to it, but i will be ok, it is the right choice for us at this point in time.

And that's just it, it is your choice!! I would not judge you or tell you what to do. I would give you advice if you asked and then would not be upset if you chose otherwise. The best I can do is support you through BH.
We are all not perfect and this is life, life deals us certain things and we deal with them the best we can....:hugs:
I feel strongly about supporting you as I would definetly need as much support as I could get if I was in your position. :)
Hope you don't think I went on abit, cause sometimes we think things but don't say it. xoxo

Kel where did you get that gorgeous Elmo mcn?? I love it!
MCN Mummies - Out of all the nappies in your stash, which one do you find the best? (absorbency, fit, easy to use etc...)
Lana The elmo nappy is from Fairy lites, she still has some in stock...$25
Best nappy for me would have to be tie between Bumgenius and my swaddlebees. Love the BG cause of the fit and absorbency and that it fit great under shorts or pants. Love the SwB cause the lining is just so soft (organic cotton velour) fit is excellent and prints are funky. I have 2 of these, 1 print and 1 plain...
KEL - LUV the stash! You have heaps of show-off nappies - I want more show-off nappies ... I have no printed ones, only actual show-offs are my 2 BP's.
What brand are the prints?
Checkybutts - camo and butterfly print
Sandmans - checked race cars and bananas
Greenkids - stars
Sunshinetots - palm tree/flower print
Swaddlebee - blue/black/green circles
Berryplush - blue/cream/green circles
Let me know what you think. OR should I buy more peapod inserts & night boosters?
I love the peapods insert and night booster! works a treat for me...I was thinking about getting some more for my KK's and just to have more for rotation...love them and they are a good price:thumbsup: :D

I have decided I think I will get 2 more Peapod nappies (med white & med pastel blue) which come with the inserts, buy 2 more night boosters for those. Then I want to buy 5 more insers & boosters (for when others are drying but pockets are dry) plus I want to buy the cotton babies inserts which come with the BG's - 4 so I have enough for my 4 BG's...
BUT I have to wait as we have like $1125 worth of bills due this week! OMG!! And only $60 left on cc. So since that includes a $90 cc bill I will pay that then use that to buy those inserts. Plus PP aren't exy.
Oh I do have a print - the CuddleBuns one from minicuteture. It has velour inside. Lovely. Too bad it needs a cover for out!

Well done on being brave with your desicion AD.
I hope the procedure goes well and dont take any Cr@p from people who dont understand that this was the correct choice for you.
Feel free to be terribly miserable afterwards and you can come to blab to us all.
Guess who met the lovely BlueGin today!~!!~
How cute is the Kestral!
So tiny compared to my fat head of a baby. (sorry Monty toad).
BG is fantastic, just as groovy as her online persona.
Monty nearly had a little brother.
Got back home all excited to see toadlet and he was just interested in smiling at Daddy. He even looks different after 2 days away, his hair is thicker. A different look to him too.
Frog did a fantastic job, everything clean and tidy, toadlet in one piece, obviously well fed and happy.
Back to do some work now!

HOLLIE - I am looking at Toadlet's photo album & noticed he has the same mat as Ella's! Isn't it bad now that they have worked out how to use it? LOL. Ella cries when mummy has had enough & turns it off! You have taken some gorgeous photos :)
Little_Toad
14-10-2007, 21:32
Carrie... his matt is otherwise known as "The Pratt Matt".
have you noticed that occsionally it will do soounds/words/songs that youve NEVER heard before???
Kes is more advanced than my baby! I think toadlets big fat head is inhibiting his sitting up abilities. And possibly is big fat empty head inhibiting his non talkingness.
Love him really :)
Oh! I was telling BG. Frog took some more photos and one looked really odd. He looked like me!!! It was his sulky face.
ok im contemplating making these cakes.. but i need help. i dont want to use the hard icing.. so any ideas how i can make edible animals?? http://debadaniels.tripod.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=300&linkpath=http://debadaniels.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/mijyg9.jpg&target=tlx_new
i will probably do a square shape too.. bugger cutting a circle(i'll be ordering the sponge.. not even considering cooking the damn thing!) i was thinking with the animals of icing marshmallows? it seemed good in my head but not so much now as i read this back! lmao!
here's the one for M http://www.boutiquetoocute.com/Butterfly%20Cake.jpg
once again doing squares.. i was thinking of making cookies for the flowers and just icing them. will change all the colours ofcourse.. M would not be impressed with a blue cake. maybe if i did the butterflies with melted chocolate, just draw the wing shapes in baking paper then fill in with melts?? not sure about the leaves & grass. maybe just pipe green icing for grass.. and forget about the leaves lol.
any help would be much appreciated!!
AD as i said before.. bottom line your decision. and only you know what the right decision is for you. i hope the appt goes as smoothly as possible.

well dh just got home from spring in the valley, yesterday he had to call 4 ambulances (plus they have medical posts as well), today was a bit better he tells me.
i went for a drive out there around 430pm and was shocked and disgusted by what i saw, just feral people everywhere, it took me 20 minutes to drive a road that would normally take 2 minutes because people were yelling at me through the (locked) car windows and bashing on the windows and doors, very scary with a baby in the back. They just wanted a lift, yeah right as if....
Had i known what it was like i would never have gone.
AD - kisses to you, it must have been hard firstly to come to the decision, and then to tell people, you are brave and we all stand beside you.
Today i found some invites for the big first birthday on babys got style dot com dot au. and went shopping to use some birthday bouchers. Still waiting for my belated birthday celebrations cos DH was violently ill last weekend, that's cool, i'll milk it for more presents - ha ha!
Must go get into bed, gotta get up for work in the morning, and an appointment before hand too.
just realised how far away that is! why arent there any good cake shops SOR?! or if there is they're hiding!
omgosh FT. what feral feral people!! i wouldve been freaking out with people banging on my windows! especially with a bub in the car!

Heya, you could make the Animals out of Marzipan, you can get one which is quite pale in colour and chuch food colouring in it to make the colours, or you could use normal marzipan (yellowy one) and just pipe butter icing on for colour using a small nozzle(this would give the animals a "fluffy" effect). Marshmellows could work too seeing as you can get fat ones, skinny ones and a heap of colours these days. Not sure how you would stick marshmellows together tho ? Oh and why dont you just make a round cake? Like a mud cake or firm sponge. So you dont have to cut a circle.
here's the one for M http://www.boutiquetoocute.com/Butterfly%20Cake.jpg

AD - thinking of you during this difficult time. It is your decision and I truelly believe that you make decisions that are best for and yours.... I support you 100% in your decisions, although I cannot imagine how difficult it would have been. I am here if you need to chat - and please don't ever let others tell you that the decision was 'wrong'... Sometimes others put judgement where they really shouldn't, I for one am open to opinion and decision - and I applaud you in being so brave, and thinking of the WHOLE situation and the possible implications. You take care up to Friday and I am sure everything will be fine.... Thinking of you heaps....:hugs:
Well, Ellery was super sad last night from about 8pm through to 10.30pm. Very odd for her - usually asleep by 7pm... I think her teeth are playing up and also, she may still have the tail end of the sickness and had a belly ache... She only did a few poos yesterday so that has eased, although they are still a bit runny.
DP is home today and not feeling too great. He isn't :barf: anymore, but the other end still hasn't completely stopped. He looks terrible and has NO energy. If he doesn't pick up by tomorrow - i think we'll go back to the Dr.... Wait and see i guess.
E and I went for a walk, and she's asleep in her pram.... She is tired after a late night to bed.... I am feeling quite good - bit weary with all the sick ones around, but all's ok.
Hollie - glad you had a nice trip away.....
FT - where was this that you went? what was it for?? Sounds just plain gross - and what is with the people there.... Give it a miss in the future hey?
AD, I too am thinking of you all during this time. It's one of the hardest decisions to make but you have both thought it through and decided it's the best choice. If you need to talk to me please feel free to PM me and I can even call you. It sounds like you have a great family and bunch of friends to help you out. I know exactly what you are going through, so feel free to let it all out if you need to. :hugs:
Mel, sounds like you had a horrible weekend, I hope your DP is on the mend. What a horrible experience. Did you go to the GCH, my SIL is incharge of emergency there. You might of meet her - her name is Emma?
Do we wait 'til the 1st December to send our KK pressies? or can we send them before that date? I have decided what I am buying mine, it's an awesome gift. I just wanna buy all the bubba's one!
thanx FT. i emailed them last night so i'll see what they say. i wonder how long the animals can be kept once made..
AD i just googled kids birthday cakes & clicked on images:D
hmm i was thinking too i could use those choc coated biscuit sticks for the gate but maybe make it look like a fence so stand them upwards.. im worried the icing wouldnt hold it if i did them long ways.
what a shocking weekend mel. i hope your hubby & ellery are feeling 100% again soon.
yesterday was full on! hehe but anyway cant stay coz my sis just rang and im watching the boys till lunch. she needs to go clean her rental then she never has to go back there!! will be back on later!! bye!

AD78: Vicki, you poor thing, you must have been going through hell, the last few weeks firstly not knowing if you were preg or not & then finding out you were preg must have been so scary. You said yo have been a bit depressed before you realized you were preg & weren't sure if thats why you hadn't gotten your period. So you sound like yo have been pretty stressed & depressed even leading up to this pregnancy, so please seek help from your friends if you need it, don't be afraid to ask for it. Also after the procedure you may need proffessional counselling help just to help you deal with this. I wish you & your family all the best & look after yourself. Don't forget to lean on your partner for help as well.
Sorry if I have gone on a bit. I just feel for you.
my sis just got the boys. now D wont sleep tho. its going to be a long day!

Hey ladies & babies ...
Had a lovely day today - did a bit of a clean this morning then my friend & mum came down from the Sunny Coast as she is going to Florida in a week to work over there on some yachts for 18 mths (she's hoping). My mum came too. Our mum's met at birth classes with us!
We went down to the point for fish & chips (yes, again!). I love it down there ... I always have to take so much (pram, wraps, nappy bag, extra bag with some toys & the wraps etc, a fridge bag with our water, E's lunch etc ...).
HOLLIE - Yeah I noticed that about the mat a while ago but now she pushes stuff all the time I don't notice it as much. Ella is disappointed the birds don't make a sound/sing a song & bashes them! HAHA. Ella only started sitting up really well & with me being able to plonk her down & leave her as of about Wed last week when Mason was here. She doesn't wanna go on her back or belly anymore but she has to so she can learn to crawl. As for words ... nahdah, zip, zero, nothin! Just rasberries & squealing!
MEL - How's Ellery this morning? I think Ella has her 2nd tooth cut through! Not that she ever lets me see - I have to put a finger/bottle/rusk in the side of her mouth as she always hangs her tongue out otherwise lol.
DEFAIPE - How do you do it?! 5 kids! You're a super mum :) I haven't looked at the cakes yet but looking fwd to having a peek. Did D have a sleep in the end? I confirmed my KK order (I couldn't figure out why I couldn't do it then realised I had to log in! DER BRAINS!!!) ROFLMAO ... So I will go Wed or Thurs to DD the money to LT then will get it!!! YAY!!! I have worked out (finally) what I will buy in 2-3 weeks after all these bills this week - 1 x pastel blue Peapods (comes with insert), 5 more PP inserts, 6 more PP night boosters (2 for each & so I can use these inserts & boosters in KK), 4 more cotton babies microfiber inserts (the ones that come with BG's as I have 4 for each of my 4 BG's & want 2 for each so don't have to keep chucking things in drier). I want to get the GK microfiber booster thing too for night.
I GOT FLUFFY MAIL TODAY!! I got a dusty pink Ecobubs (pocket), Bubba J Hemp nappy with periwinkle snaps (not sure I like the hemp?), Tot Bots fleecy rainbow striped cover, tot bots aqua with white stars pul cover & a blue snappi. I can't believe I paid $5 fro, DD for 1 snappi! I thought there were 3 in a pack!! But I haven't been able to find any ANYWHERE! I Also wanna get flushable liners.
GTG feed cheeky chops her dinner.
Bye for now!
Defaipe - you trouper!! Hope the kids were all good for you......
Carrie - sounds like your happy with your new stuff.... Hope it all works as well as you're anticipating. I love getting new stuff too!
Well, the day has gone alright. Better than the last couple. DP is feeling better tonight, although he wasn't too good this morning. He still had a bit of the runs, and hadn't had anything to properley eat since Friday arvo - so that's a long time. I think he got over it all, and made up a nice dinner. I said to keep it plain (chicken and veg) but he put spice etc... all over it with gravy... No rushing to the loo yet so :fingerscrossed: he's on the mend. He reckons he's going to work ALL DAY tomorrow, I just said to take it easy and if getting tired, come home as he doesn't want to be back to where is was. Can't stop him though - so no use going on about it. Ellery had a big 2 hour sleep this afternoon, and was pretty good during bath and dinner time. I couldn't believe she went down so well after that sleep - but she was in her cot, without protest or even movement by 6.30pm... YEAH.... So, hoping she has a good nights rest too and she will be happy, chuuby bubby tomorrow....
I am meeting my sister for lunch tomorrow, so that'll be nice.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Thanks for all your concerns, thoughts etc. for DP... It is nice to know you have a support system here...
Thanks Everyone....
mel.. hmm no L(one of the twins) tried to escape many times.. he was also in his punching/biting/pushing mood. not to mention the stealing of icecreams which sent them all hyper!
but nah they're such good kids really. whats the point in having them sit around watching dvds. i like that they keep me on my toes. good exercise when you cant sit down! :D
carrie nope D didnt sleep.. way too hyped up i think. put the girls to bed at 7pm tho so that was good. A's been asleep since 6.30! im waiting for her to wake so i can change her nappy. i havent put the night time booster in the one she's in so i gotta change it within an hour or so.
i am loving MCN's!! cant wait to get some more. im over sposies!
what a great idea with the PP inserts & boosters. i might do that too. im 'trying' to be good with money.. i have enough sposies to get me through till next week tho.. and i'll have 3 MCN's soon so thats A set from bath time till mid morning.. lol you all raving about your millionth MCN and im stoked to have 3  i have other ones that need covers.. so i should just buy a berry plush and use that over the top.. hmm decisions decisions.. im too obsessed with krap katchers at the moment.. im hanging for the next auction!!
well done to ella on the toofie!! A is still a gummy bub.. not teeth in sight.. which is weird for me.. M had teeth at 4months & D got her first at 6months to the day so A having none at 7&1/2months is just plain weird lol
i hope you have a nice lunch tomorrow mel!! i cant believe your hubby put spice on his dinner lol. typical man! i hope he continues to improve. nothing worse than feeling like cr@p. i hope ellery gets a good sleep too.
woohoo just checked out the Krap Katcher website.. coming up for grabs are custom KK's! pick your own colour combinations!! :smiliedance:hmm do i want purple on pink.. purple on white.. white on pink.. or dark pink on light pink.. or all of the above!!

FT - i have sent you a PM with the KK website in it. I am picking up Amity's antibiotics tomorrow morning... she was asleep when i was going to go today. LOVE the invites!
Michaela - Lol FT is sooo right, you know you will get stuck on here for a while! I to am over the whole "mummy" job today... Amity is being a bit tricky.
Im not too sure about the Flatout bears... Im kind of with your DH FT, i think they resemble roadkill a little bit too much for my liking  (maybe im just addicted to chubby, round things lol)
I have just added a whole heap of pics from my holiday onto our photobucket site so make sure you check them out!
FT - yep, in the hydro pool :)
the invites are great, i emailed the website to my friend. he has made dozens on invites and announcements, we always tell him to start a business!
going to buy this for Harper tomorrow, $30 at Woolies. his first 'sitting up toy'.

I could but the whole reason we are going in tomorrow is because we are behind (she was sick before i went away so we didnt get it all done).
I will get the antibiotics first thing in the morning so that i can give Amity some before day care.
I should head to bed too... Its just so lonely here without Sam :crying:
Had a restful night in the household - thankfully. Ellery knoked out early and didn't stir - but up early this morning (she is in her cot playing)....
Dp went in to her around 4.45am, and she had her whole leg stuck in the rung of the cot???? She screamed as she had sort of twisted herself. Any suggestions as to how to stop that happening??? Poor little thing. At least she is in there playing now.... I might go and buy one of those bumpa things but they only cover half the cot don't they????
Hoping today will be a good one... Meeting my sis for lunch and have early appointment with the chiro.... Dp's gone to work and is feeling much better. Hope he doesn't wear himself out though... MEN HEY!!! But, he looks alot better and had a good nights sleep which does help...
Should go and check on her....

mel you can get the fly net bumpers that go around the cot.. they're meant to be good and no SIDS risk. i've always just used normal bumpers tho.. my kids arent the type to move about till they're older. i only have them coz it looks cute lol
D's eczema around her eyes has flared up again. ok gotta go.. just realised its nearly 8, M has to go to kindy and i've gotta go food shopping. bye!
i just ordered the greenkids trial pack. one lilac and one butter. thing is they only had hemp boosters/inserts. is that ok instead of bamboo?? i ordered it anyway so please dont tell me theyre sh!t:laughing: !
nah they're fine. i got mine before the bamboo came out and i have no probs. did you get some extra inserts for your krap katchers? greenkids are in WA so they will come really quick - fluffy mail on its way!
i have the bummis wet bag i think from darlings downunder. also keep a couple of the little peapods ones in my bag to segregate pooey nappies!!
Vicki wow, Antonio looks grown up!
Mel no idea re the bumpers sorry, Harper just lays there lol
Lana has Sam started his new job? bummer! but hey, more $$$ for MCNs
great photos from your holiday too.
ok H woke up at 530 today so i am about to try to get him to have his nap earlier so i can have one too! he doesnt look very tired tho... actually i might nip down the shops then he can have a sleep in an hour or so and be all fresh for swimming at 1145. i am SO excited!! wish Al was home to take photos. oh well, he will be there next week.
yesterday i started a new mums&bubs class at my exercise training. it was fun BUT all the other babies are 11-14 weeks and i had to "bench press" my 8 1/2 kilo guy. ouch. i am so weak lol... nah, but seriously i have dodgy arms so it was hard!
catch you later :D

mel- sounds like your DH and Ellery had the same virus as my DH and Alexander.
Did you have Ellery's poo tested at the hospital? We did and it showed rotavirus.
Unfortunately rotavuris vaccinations have only just been introduced in WA, and you have to have bub done by the time they are 6 months, so we missed out.
Sleeping bags - does anyone know of where i can get a baby sleeping bag that is lightweight, apart from the ones that are $60 and above - our fleecy ones from target are just too hot now. I tried Best and Less, target etc and cant find cheapish summer ones.
Elmo - so is Sam on a FIFO roster now?
AD - LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics of Antonio - he is stunning!
Morning Ladies!
Mel sounds like they are both on the mend. Hope your DP doesn't over do it today. I bought Madi an 'Air Wrap' from Big W that wraps around the cot and is SIDS safe. It is a white mesh material thing that velcros on and if they roll over to the bars they can still breathe through it. It's really good, keeps all their legs and arms in, Madi is shocking for getting stuck and screaming but since having this no probs at all.
Mummies - can I please get the details for photobucket? I asked last week but haven't heard from anyone?? It's cool if I can't join too.
FT, I heard the rotavirus is horrible so that's why I paid for Madi to get vaccinated for it. It would have been horrible for you DH and A to get it
LL, I hope Harper has a great time at swimming, can't wait to hear about it
AD, the pics of A are so cute! He does look very grown up indeed.
Sorry it's short I have to run to my next meeting be back soon!

Back to post in a minny :D
Hi all  I have been meaning to join this forum for quite some time but just got around to it today. This is my first post & I thought what better place to start than in a thread talking to other mums who also had their bubs in March 2007 :)
My first baby, India Lily arrived 17th March this year so she'll be 7 months tomorrow  She's lying on the floor talking to herself, playing with her feet as I type
Well, I won't rave on for too long as I am about to head out to take Indi for a swim!!
Hope everyone & their bubs are well :)
