:wave: I have to go and have DD weighed and measured next week when she is four months, but her head circ this week was 40.5cm! She was 4weeks early though so I don't know how that works but she is measuring 60.5cm in length.and her weight was 6kg!

I think jaydas head looks perfectly normal and in proportion to her body, those silly charts are all out of wack if you ask me. Zeke is almost in the 10th percentile in weight for his age and sex but he is happy healthy and has rolly polly legs so pooh to the charts:thumbsdown:

I just remeasured myself and it was 41cms:rolleyes:I also did his length and yep he is 63cms, very long for his weight, he was only 49cms long born but has grown so much length wise in his nearly 4 months on the planet.

He's going to be a big boy! He's certainly packing on the pounds.....in the 90th percentile, but apparently he's in proportion cos of his length, he's not chubby at all.

Gets quite annoying though when strangers ask how old he is, and comments like 'oh he's massive' - never anything like, oh he's georgous!

Dont worry about nosey strangers!!
Lochie is also in the 90th percentile for his weight, but only 50th for his head and length.
And YEP he looks chubby - one lady said "oh my he's porky isnt he" grrr to her!! lol

At least if our chubba bubbas ever get sick they got a bit of fat stored in there body to compensate for the sickness. Bailey is in the 90th percentile for his weight as well.

DS1 was 9kgs at one year old lol!! I breed em smaller than average though so not a good comparison :yes:

You might find he slows down in the weight dept when he gets up and crawling/walking, so he may not weigh that much more by the time he is one year old!

Oh yes... Lochie is a porker alright.
Although thr 9kg was on mums digitial scales, and they only measure in 200g incriments, so might not be 100% accurate, but sure close enough hahah

Julz, Im hoping you are right, same thing happend with a GF of mine and also my Sil's bub.
Fingers crosses otherwise Lochie will be 20 bloody kilos by the time he is 1!!

hey tj. ds1 was 9.15kg at 6 months an only 10kg at 12 months!!! and is around 13kg at almost 2. so they certainly can slow down!
brock was 9.15kg a few days ago, so will be interesting to see if he slows down as much as his bro!

Hahahah TJ sounds like you have Boof on your hands hehehe !

At that age Boof was 8.5kgs but was 69.5cms long so made up for it that way !

He has slowed down a little weight wise but is 16kgs currently but is still growing in height so any weight he seems to gain gets lost once he grows ! He has been wearing a size 3 since he was 2 & is currently going into 4's ! Im still waiting for the day he stops lol !


Im going to have to get Squeak weighed in the next week to see how he is now currently running compared to all the other bubs ! Was too scared to show what he was before cause of his weight loss etc :o But he is now coming on really strong & becoming a porker !

I want to know if he has surpassed Ezekiel's weight yet, seems like we are traling along the bottom of the weight charts, but he is so happy and sleeping so well I cant understand his lack of weight gain. They had to of stuffed up her length measurements last month or this month.....I would not worry about it to much as she is stll putting on the weight......Also with all the trouble she has had as of late she has still but on a fair amount of weight.....Hopefully once you get her conditions diagnosed then things will start showing an increase better.

I think Zeke is going to be a midget lol, I weighed him yesty on our scales and he is 6.5kgs and only about 65-66cms long. It's so hard to measure him they way he kicks his legs so frantically !!:laughing:

Dh isn't tall because of a back injury as a teenager, but the rest of his family are over 6ft, so I expect the boys will be tall one day.:yes:

ally i didnt even consider growing pains at this age, do you think? ooh i so hope its something simple like that. i was just saying in my post i think she's back to normal now because she's now so happy (still has 'attitude' like her dad :rolleyes:) and doesnt seem to be in pain but wakes up 3 or 4 times a night still. she's got two teet and i think another might come through soon so then there's that to factor in. and then i think, well she might be due for another growth spurt...*sigh* its never ending and so hard to know what is what

the dr's are always so shocked when they measure her because she's 5 bars off the top of the 97th percentile :o im so scared she'll go over 6foot because sterl is 6'7" and im 5'10", poor girl

Zeke is 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 depending on which scales I put him on ( plus he wont sit still on the scale so they keep going up and down trying to get a steady weight measurement lol).

Yep it was different scales only strange thing is that when he weighed in at 8.150 he had no clothes on and today he weighed in at 8kgs straight fully clothed with a nappy on too...:confused:

Zeke had his Needles today so got weighed and measured. I have weighed him on so many differeny scales that his weight seems different every week. He weighs 6.4 on my scales today but today at the doc he weighed 6.7kgs. Last time he was weighed on their scales he was 6.6kgs( in december) so go figure! Someones scales are wrong. Either way there is no real weight gain happening but doc seems happy enough with his development etc.

I think Zeke may have gained a little this week too, have to get him weighed but he feels heavier. My scales at home are saying 6.8kgs and last time I weighed him they said 6.5kgs ( two weeks ago). they are not very accurate but hopefully for once they are right. He eats likes a horse so surely he has gained!

OK Ok got Zeke weighed today at the doctor on the same scales as at his 6months old check up so we got an accurate measuremnt as to whether he has gained anything since

So we have some weight gain, only 300gms in 2months but it's something and he is getting longer too so I am pretty happy with that.
I have an appt to see the doctor next week to review Zeke though and decide whether we are going to need to see a paed or not seeing as he is off the bottom of the charts for weight now.

Julz- Im sure Zeke will be fine hun, he is just small and petite like the others have said. And he is certainly not lacking in development so Id say it all sounds fine. I recently had Bailey at the Dr due to poor weight gain, he has only just reached 11kgs and thats off the scales too. He just doesnt put on weight. Dr did tests and said its just him, he must just burn it up very quickly.

TJ- Lochie is such a cutie! Im amazed at him being over 10kgs! Way to go lil man! I wish I could see all of you guys this weekend:(
