cold cures

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any good cold cures that are safe in pregnancy (I'm 22 weeks).
My husband had a stinking cold last week and i thought I'd managed to avoid it but alas no!!
Is it safe to take normal cold remedies?

You need to be careful with cold medications definitely ask advice from your pharmacist before taking anything to ensure it is ok. When I got a cold whist pregnant I just stuck to vicks and suffered through. You could also try a vaporiser. If you get a chest infection though, I would go to the doctor.

Hi Emilyhug,
Try some saline nasal spray (Fess is the one I used) and lots of Vicks inhalations. There is not much else you can do except try to get plently of rest and lots of fluids. I had alot of sinus problems while I was pregnant but these things did help.
