I have been testing using OPK's every day for the last week. There has only ever been a very faint line - or none at all... According to my calculations - i was due to O on saturday... however testing up to saturday & on saturday still no dark line... Also, i've had quite alot of think, white semi-stretchy CM... What does this mean?? :hair:
Thanks!!

Well... it could be that you havent ovulated yet... It could also be that you just had too much to drink before taking the test so your wee was too diluted and you missed the surge.
If you are still getting semi stretchy cm I would BD just incase...
Are you temping at all? The great thing about temping is that you cant tell once you have ovulated most times!!

Sorry I cant be of more help

OPK's are very tricky things and not everyone see's the surge. Every women is different some have long surges and can usually get a +ive on the OPK but if your like most of us we have a short surge and it's long gone by the time we test.....now you could spend an absolute fortune on OPK's every cycle or you could by a more expensive one that has refills.....or rely on the BBT in addition to OPK faint line

I really liked temping. did it the last 2 cycles. I found it helped me pinpoint O as it drops before you O, and then rises (usually steadily) after you O. If you use a program like fertilityfriend, they will automatically mark in the day you o'd (it only comes up 3 days later though, so you gotta keep BDing). I never used OPK's, but did temping and checking CM, and the temp dip always coincided with the last or 2nd last day of EWCM which is supposed to be when you O.

Hope that helps and good luck! :babydust2:

Thanks for that... So with the temping - do you have to use a certain type of thermometer (ie, digital or a mercury one?) and when is the best time to test?? I'm open to any suggestions as OPK's are adding up$$

Hi Bubno1
I'd suggest going to www.fertilityfriend.com (http://www.fertilityfriend.com) and joining up there. They have a 'course' you take to learn about temping. And then you input all your data in FF and see your wonderful chart.
In brief, you need to temp each morning (at the same time each morning) after at least 3 hours sleep. A digital thermometer is fine - preferably one with 2 decimal places but I dont use one of those and my charts still come out ok - but if you have a mercury thermo then thats fine to use too.
If you have any other questions then just ask. Hope that all made sense.
