Hi Ladies.

Moved here from brisbane at beginning of year and haven't met or made many friends yet! I live in mount Louisa and am craving girly & baby chatter so much!

My little angel is Bailie Madison and is turning one in a week - (time really flys) and i'd love for the pair of us to make a few friends.

I would love to hear from anyone interested in making a friend!

Hi Nikki

Have you seen our "Townsville Mummies Meet Up" thread?

A few of us have been having weekly meet ups on a Thursday morning, you and Bailie would be more than welcome to come along. If you haven't already contacted SusanMac (who seems to have become our coordinator!) for details feel free to PM me.

Or I'm just as happy to meet you at some other time/place that suits. My little man Cameron loves meeting new people!

Hope to hear from you

Hi have just moved to Townsville - Black River - from Emerald (CQ) and am looking for some company. Have two children Lauren, 3 and Nicholas 5, who starts school at St Anthony's on Monday.
Any non-intimidating, non-clicky playgroups to go along to or catch up for coffee?
Cheers :)

An awesome playgroup is the one run out at Kirwan at a church. It's not on Morindo Drive, it's one back from that towards the lights. You go down that way a fair way and you'll find it. There used to be one run there called Fun for Bubs but not sure if it's still there. It was really good, not clicky, but there was another playgroup at the same place 3 days a week. It was a little clicky but the activities out for the kids were really good, made you forget about the other mums and focus on your child and the other kids. I think it might have been a Baptist church but can't remember now. It's in the street behind Ryan Catholic College. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but we tried many playgroups before settling on that one. Fun for Bubs is the one we went to until DD was 2, we were't at the other for long, a month if that, before I went back to work :(

My own church on Carthew St also runs a playgroup, but it will probably be in recess over the holidays.

You are also welcome at either (or both) the bubhub monday and thursday meets!
