15 week old baby prescibed zoton. Its hard to administer the granules especially when predicting 1/3 of packet into water. is this medication better than zantac and when should I see results if given each mornig only?

Haven't heard of Zoton before. Is this the same as Losec? This has granules too. I tried Losec with my DS but couldn't get all of the granules in his mouth. Ended up changing to Zantac and it worked fine. I have only just now stopped giving it (he is 7 months) so if you change to Zantac, I have two full bottles you can have.:)

Zoton (Lansoprazole) is prescribed for the treatment or prevention of indigestion/reflux,heartburn. It basically decreases stomach acid production. I think it's a newer medication than Losec (Omeprozole). They basically do the same thing. I'm not sure if Losec comes in oral form anymore, only IV. I know in an inservice I attended they were replacing it with something else.
