Hi
Anyone been and can give some info on your experience? How long did you have to wait for an appointment? Did they recommend your child be a certain age before he/she attended? What happened during the consult? Did you find the advice given useful/ easy to understand and carry out? What were your results/outcomes?
TIA

It seems as though noone here has any experience with the clinic.
I called them a few times and they always have an answering service on. They discourage leaving messages and ask you send a fax or email. I have send an email but no reply as yet.

YES we used this when our son was a baby and have an appointment for our dd too

It took us 5mths to get in with our son, our dd's appointment isnt until march 2008 so that will mean we are going to wait about 6mths

BUT they are the BEST!

MY son had Dr Velencia Soutter who is the head of the department and knows her stuff

at the initial consultation we were there for about 4hrs all up and you have a meeting with the dr. specialist,a meeting with a dietician and the skin pric test

then you get you results on the day

and they gave us heaps of info

it was worth its weight in gold

My son was 7mths when he got tested and it was discovered he had reflux, a milk protein allergy, a severe dust mite allergy, an egg allergy and an allergy to some pollens and citrus fruits

Our DD will be one when she gets her appointment and has already at 6mths had two severeallergic reactions so Im using the knowledge i gained with my son to help my dd while i wait to see what she is allergic too

I did attempt to get into a different (local) allergy clinic at our local hospy BUT they are booked out until next year also

we have decided to wait for RPA as they are the best imo

although dr soutter has a very abrupt manner I just disregard her blunt comments coz I know shes top in her field
hope that helps

oh and we are also on the cancellation list as well'

hope you get through and make an appointment

Thanks so much nemosmum - great info
I am prepared for the wait for an appointment but am finding it difficult even to set a date. How did you do it?
