Kids are doing some puzzles at the moment. They love puzzles. Its nice to see them both working together.
What is everyone else upto today.
DH has an audit all this week at work, which basically means we won't seem him.

Good Morning!!
Grace- you are such an early bird! Any pregnancy symptoms today? I can't wait till you test! You should book yourself in for a massage while DH is away
Ains- you always make me smile :hugs: I don't want this thread to die either- I need you girls!!
Amy- I am DYING to know if your temp went back up this morning!
Shea- when is your next birth due? It is so exciting that you get to do what you do and also to witness little babies coming into the world.
I am cd 28-ish and no O yet for me  CM was looking good but comes and goes :hair:

Morning everyone!
Well my chart has gone even more mental. It evened out for a while, even though a bit lower than normal, then dropped really low, then shot back up high. I don't know WHAT is going on!!
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1c951d
I do feel like AF is on the doorstep, although not due till Sunday. Hormones making me nauseaus the last few days.
Plus i have really sore arms from (attempting to) wakeboard on the weekend and i have a thumping headache.
Not happy  . Plus my new boss is weird and doesn't even say hello to anyone when they come in, she'll march up to my desk to give me something to do and i've started just saying a really big "hi" and smiling, hoping she'll realise that its nice to have manners.
Yay, i have acupuncture again tomorrow!
Grace its pouring down with rain here, i can't think of anything i'd rather be doing than puzzles at home with my kiddies. Enjoy!
Shea I just met a family who live at the base of the blue mountains, the husband is on the same Top Fuel drag racing team as my husband and i see them when we race in Sydney.
princ3ssah how are you enjoying temping? I love it because its interesting to know whats going on, but at the same time it can drive you crazy trying to analyse it!
Ains OMG, your drunken typing is priceless. Love your who cares attitude! Glad your pop still has his sense of humour.

Kitty Katz- I have 2 words for you...
IMPLANTATION DIP!!!!!
:babydust2: :smiliedance: :bfp: :smiliedance: :babydust2:
Kittykatz: Yep, defin sounds like an implantation dip. :fingerscrossed:
Well I don't think October is my month.
My temp dropped right down again this morning and I had slight very slight smear on the toilet paper. BUT I was naughty and temped again this morning around 9:30am and it has spiked up again. I know I shouldn't have tempted twice, but I couldn't help myslef.
AF has been feeling like its on its way on and off for a while now.
I just feel really yuk today, but I have got a little bit of a head cold.

Grace- When I was pg with Mason I felt like AF was coming, I was convinced it was but it never did! GOOD LUCK!
I know. I had the same feeling with my last pregnancy (m/c).
But I usually don't spot at all. But I had a very light smear on toilet paper, but DH and I did bed last night
As I said I temped this am and it was down but I did it again at 9:30 and it had spiked right up
To much info coming:
Is it possible to have DH sperm inside etc and this give an incorrect temp reading?? Wouldn't it be similar to temping when you have AF?
I'm I going loopy again

Grace- I don't know about your TMI question but I can't imagine it would affect the temp too much. I temp orally so I don't really know. The spotting might be from the BD'ing?

Shea- when is your next birth due? It is so exciting that you get to do what you do and also to witness little babies coming into the world.
next one is due on the 9th of dec 9but im sure that will happen before) and then another on dec 28th.
on cd 19. have no idea what is going on. anyone want to make sense of my chart?
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/
This is all very draining.
I layed in bed this morning thinking about my m/c, and thinking I can't belive I am down this road of ttc again. And our depressing it is waiting, waiting and waiting.

Shea- I can't look at your chart, you have to go to 'sharing' and create a homepage to be able to let others look at it. When I click on the link it just goes to the login page.
WOW, December isn't far away, I bet you are excited! Imagine if one comes on Christmas Day
next one is due on the 9th of dec 9but im sure that will happen before) and then another on dec 28th.

Did you want to try it again.

Grace- :hugs: if the temping is stressing you out maybe just stop doing it. If you get a BFP it's great that you don't have to worry about it anymore, but if AF comes then just start temping again after that :hugs:
Yeh I thought about not temping this morning....but I couldn't help myslef.
i know, I know.........................

Your chart looks completely different to mine.

Sorry Grace, i don't really know whats happening with your chart?
I'd would love for mine to have been and implantation dip and give me a :bfp: but I don't trust my thermometer at the moment, it gave me a really low temp the other night when i mistakenly took my temp at 1am.
FF doesn't pick up the dip, but does say it might be Triphasic. I don't really have any PG symptoms this cycle though, except for nausea, dizziness and fatigue i had a few days ago, so far none of the dragging cramps or weird smell stuff.
I don't think i'm PG to be honest, and of course i'll be disappointed if i'm not, but i really am not expecting it this cycle. So i'll give my :babydust2: to those who really really really want it, and i'll have it back next month....

Shea- your temps are crazy! What time are you taking them?
Kitty Katz- don't give up hope! Lots of ppl don't get pregnancy symptoms until well into their pregnancy :hugs:
I just wanted to pop in and say good luck to you Grace. How naughty of you temping twice this morning! :shame: Ok, I admit, I've done that before too. Unless you had been exercising or eating or drinking recently, your higher temp is probably ok to take as a reading, especially if it's heaps higher than the one this morning.
Can you post your FF chart?
MoonstoneMumma
29-10-2007, 14:00
Shea- your temps are crazy! What time are you taking them?
normally 5. sometimes though it is about 6ish. but one hour woulnd't make that much difference surely?
Hi girls,
I haven't been on here over the weekend and now there are pages and pages to read up on!! Go girls!!!:smiliedance: I will have to get busy and read them when I get a sec then I can do personals...
I was thinking over the weekend (because I have been particularly low about the whole ttc thing recently) that I think the reason I am a bit down at the moment is because Christmas is coming and that when I started ttc last year I thought that this Christmas would be my baby's first Christmas. Now Christmas is coming closer and I'm not even preg yet!! I was so sad on the weekend thinking that Christmas could come past and I wouldn't even be pregnant yet....does anyone else feel this way about Christmas?
Anyway...I'll get back to reading this thread....
sorry girls - have read back over all the posts and realised I sabotaged (sp??) a discussion about temps....just ignore my last post and go on talking bout temps!! Sorry!!
Talking about temps...I take mine every morning at the same time. I set my alarm on the weekend and do it then fall back asleep. Because I was interested I checked it when I woke up again and it had gone up by about .5 degrees (celsius)....my temps are useless anyway (which my acupuncturist is trying to fix) but does anyone else have their temps rise like this only a couple of hours apart? (although I spose not many of you are as crazy as me and temp more then once a day!!! Except for you Grace and Fludo!!)
I would temp every minute if it would mean I would bloody get a positive preggers result.
I've had trouble setting up my FF for others to look at.
I'll have to try again tonight, when I get time and peace and quiet.

Hi Bubfee
Yes, i find exactly the same thing. I admit i do sometimes temp twice, usually when i get a really odd temperature and don't believe it, fall asleep and then take it again later.
Ok, saying that I don't get my positive result this month.
Does it really make a difference if I just take my temp when I wake in the morning. Which could be anywhere from 2-5am Or should I set the alarm and take it the same time every morning?
What everyones thoughts on the temping times?
I think you're supposed to take it at the same time every morning - but thats only going by what my acupuncturist said... but saying that you are allowed to take it at anytime as long as you've been 'resting' or in bed for three hours so in that case it probably wouldn't matter (sorry Grace, I really dont know and Im certainly no expert on the matter given that Im currently on chinese meds to make my temps more stable!!)
I'm on chinese herbs too.
Though I'm not on them this week, until AF arrive.
What are yours for Grace? Mine are for my temp but Ive heard of others being on special fertility ones...
What are yours for Grace? Mine are for my temp but Ive heard of others being on special fertility ones...
I'm on them to help my chances of falling pregnant and NOT :fingerscrossed: miscarring this time.
I might start setting my alarm and taking my temp at the same each day and see if this makes a difference.
kittykatz
29-10-2007, 15:40
My chinese herbs are for fertility and womens health. They are meant to help with PMS, prevent cramping, nourish the uterus and help to create a nice thick lining, prevent miscarriage, help with implantation, regulate hormones, produce lots of healthy eggs, encourage fertile CM and assist with ovulation.
Mine are in capsule format and are called Fertility Support 2 by China Med. I use chinese medicine in conjunction with acupuncture, but have only been on the treatment for 2 weeks.
I don't take a capsule. I have herbs that I mix in some warm water and drink.
mmmmmm interesting
oh the joys of ttc!!!
At the moment next to my bed I have chinese herb tablets, elevit, a receipt for my tube scan, a thermometer, a chart to write my temps down on and a book called 'Birth'.....this whole ttc thing is such a complex procedure!!!

29-10-2007, 16:25
Hi Girls!!
Shea- I don't think that an hour would make too much difference as long as you are getting at least 3 hours sleep before you temp. Last cycle I was setting my alarm and taking it at 6am on the dot but this cycle I've been taking it as soon as I wake which could be 5am, 6am, 7am etc. And I have to say that this cycle my temps seem more stable than when I was taking them at exactly 6am. If this is TMI then you don't have to answer but how are you taking your temp? If you do it vaginally it is meant to be a lot more acurate, I just do it orally though.
Hi Bubfee! Yep, I am also thinking how sad Christmas day will be if I don't have a BFP. I was the same when TTC Mason, I wanted christmas day to be so special and magical and spent dreaming of next year when we had a baby to share it with and I got my wish (we found out I was pregnant in November 05) so I hope this year is the same for you and everyone else here :fingerscrossed:
Oops, I have been forgetting to take my Elevit :o
M2M how was the wedding?? It was on the weekend wasnt it?? Hope it went well and you both enjoyed it!

Bubfee- it was really good, thanks for asking! There were lots of pregnant girls there (and some of them were drinking------) but it was a lovely day/night.
ooooh...people drinking when they're pregnant... I think everyone needs to make their own decision with that and I respect peoples decisions (I wont be drinking if we ever get pregnant)....however I find it so so hard to see pregnant people drinking when I have given up alcohol completely and still can't get utd!!!
Was it lovely just having you and DH time?

29-10-2007, 20:47
Yeah it was so wonderful to be grown ups and not worry about a bub for one night  I love being a mummy but it is lovely to have a break occassionally.
I know that some people say a drink or two while pregnant is ok but in my opinion it isn't, it can't be good for the bub  I would give anything to be pregnant right now and wouldn't be risking my bub for the sake of a couple of drinks.

Sorry ladies a me me me post
:gloomy: I had to go to hospital last night, I had a small bleed right on 16 weeeks.
I have had a huge amount of tests done and thank god the bleed was only small and they think may have been triggered by an infection so I have lots of stuff at pathology being tested today.
Have to go to the doc at 8am to go and get an ultra sound down to make sure all is ok with bubba, but they did say bub was sitting in the right place where it should be.
No equipment avaiable to hear the heart beat last night, please oh please let there be one when I go for my ultra sound this morning :crying: .
Got to keep reminding myself all will be fine but just feeling very scared and alone with out DH being here to reasure me and hold my hand. :(
No bleeding this morning so :fingerscrossed: its just a silly infection giving me a stupid scare !!!
Congratulations kb2711 this is wonderful news :hugs:

Hey ladies I am home
I saw the GP and he was very reassuring and has booked me in for an scan at 10 am, just need to get a liter od water down now to make it all happen.
He said he is sure all will be fine and that i may indeed just have a infection or I could have a low lying placenta or i could have just had a bleed with no obvious reason why which he said is also quiet commom.
No spotting this morning which is great and when they did the internal there was no blood present at all.
Just wanna see that heart beating nice and strong and then I will be happy.
I really havent coped aswell as i normally would in this situation, I think the hormones are DH factor have done a bit of anumber on me plus the no sleep for 24 doesnt help much either :o .
Check back in with you after my scan...will be hanging around for a bit if anyone wants a chat to keep my busy till then :D
Oh and I am so sorry i didnt congratulate kb2711 on your fanrastic news :smiliedance: :smiliedance: ... I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy xoxoxoxo

Welcome mumzdaword!!!! I hope you love it here as much as I do! Tell us more about yourself.
Grace- I'm so sorry to hear AF has arrived :hugs: Nothing we can say is going to make you feel better but just know that it will happen, your body might just still be settling down after your m/c. To answer your Q's- my DH doesn't take anything like chinese herbs, I don't think I would get him to agree to something like that  I was using the free trial of FF but then purchased the VIP package. I did the one that was $16.95 for 90 days or something (I think it works out to be about $20 by the time it's converted to $AUS. I don't know what the difference is between the 2.
kb2711- I posted this in the other thread but CONGRATULATIONS!! Wishing you a very sticky, healthy 9 months and a beautiful birth :babydust2:
Amy- how are you my beautiful pregnant friend? ;) I have such a great feeling for you this month!
Well I am hoping today is O day for me even though my OPK's have all been negative. My temp dipped right down to the lowest it's been this whole cycle- is that what normally happens on the day of O?

Hi All,
I have been reading your stories for awhile now but this is my first time posting.
I have a quick question about AF and O.
If my AF is longer than usual, does that mean that I will O later in my cycle?
I am on CD5 and FF says I will O on CD15. But if AF runs for 7 days instead of 5 should I readjust to expect to O on CD17???
Please help, U guys seem to have this all worked out.
Best wishes
kittykatz
30-10-2007, 15:01
giveitago - thats a really good question. I don't THINK so???
I think the only thing that varies is the Luteal Phase (time from O to AF).
eg my cycles alternate 25 days and 30 days. My luteal phase is 15 days so on my 25 day cycle i O on day 10, and on my 30 day cycle i O on day 15. The first day of heavy AF is always day 1, i don't think the duration matters?
Sorry, i've probably been no help.
SpecialMumma
30-10-2007, 15:04
Welcome to the thread giveitago.
The first day of your period is the first day of your cycle. CD1. doesnt really matter if AF goes for 5 days or 7 days, you will still O 14 days before your period. Some people have AF go for 2 days, some 9 days. But the cycle is still the same.
Say you got your period on CD34. That emans you most likely O'd on CD20.
Period on CD36 would mean O on CD22.
hope that helps abit?
giveitago
30-10-2007, 15:06
I get it.... I think.....
My O is based around the LP not AF.
Thank god I looked up the acronym page last night!!!!!!
This is the first month I have started Charting so I think it may take a few months to understand what is going on - hopefully I can do it "accidentally", like so many people I know :(
and my AF is ALWAYS sporadic, never heavy, never medium, just bits here and there everyday, sorry if TMI :)
honeydew
30-10-2007, 15:24
Amy- your temp is LOW! Maybe this is the implantation dip instead of the other day :fingerscrossed:
Welcome giveitago!!! What the others said is right- it doesn't really matter how many days AF goes for. The first day of bleeding (not spotting but actual bleeding) is cycle day 1. Once you have temped for a couple of months (which you won't need to since you will be pregnant this month!) you will see a pattern. Even though the luteal phase varies from woman to woman, it will usually stay the same for you each cycle- anything between 12-16 days is normal. And even though the luteal phase is usually the same each cycle, the number of days between AF starting and when you O is what will often vary each cycle if you aren't regular. I hope this hasn't confused you, if you have any questions just ask because somebody on here is bound to know the answer! If all else fails just BD every day and you should be right
kittykatz
30-10-2007, 15:36
giveitago, also be careful of online ovulation calculators too - alot of them work on a 'standard' 28 day cycle, assuming your luteal phase is 14 days. That also works on the false principle that O is 2 weeks after AF and 2 weeks before the next AF. You can miss your O day and fertile period because of this. A couple of months of charting and you'll get the idea.
ie, my luteal phase is 15 days (some people it is 11 and can be as long as 16). I have a short 25 day cycle, but using the "28 day theory" i would assume i O on day 14, when infact I O on day 10. i would miss my whole fertile period each month (which is probably what has been happening). This is only my 2nd cycle actually doing it right!
Hi Girls,
Grace :hugs: I was so sure this month was your month. How are you going? I'm sending :hugs: your way. Hope you're ok. As for DH, the only thing anyone has recommended for mine is Zinc tablets which he takes. When I started acupuncture I told him that he had to have it done too...and that the needles would be put down there....I was so serious about it that he thought it was for real - lucky he didnt pass out
Kristi H - :smiliedance: thank goodness everything is ok. What a horrible fright. What a lovely DH you have.
M2M - I was going to askt he same question as Grace about FF -do you think its worth going the upgrade to VIP? I guess I keep thinking that if we're spending so much at our fertility clinic whats a few more $'s going to matter!!
Hi giveitago welcome to the thread!
honeydew
30-10-2007, 16:09
Hi Bubfee- I would have loved to see the look on your DH's face when you told him the needles had to go 'down there' HAHA!!
I think it probably is worth going with the VIP thing because I'm not sure but with the VIP you can enter OPK results as well as other tests you might be doing whereas with the basic one maybe it is just temp and cm that you can enter (or that's all that it uses to pinpoint O). I'm not 100% sure though of the difference between the basic charting and the VIP but I figure it's cheap enough and if it's gonna help get a BFP then it's worth it
Thats what I keep thinking M2M - that anything that gets us a :bfp: is worth it. Right I'll go upgrade now.
Yep the look on DH's face was priceless! I even said to him "look, I'm having acupuncture, fertility drugs, scans and everything else the least you can do is have a few needles". Bless him - I think he may even have done it if needed (we are so desperate for a :bfp: ...as is everyone on this thread!!)

Ok she is out and we are hunky dorey again (fingerscrossed)
I've had one of those days. I wish someone would come home and cook me dinner. DH never cooks. BUT god love him, he did when I had terrible morning sickness. Spagetti was is thing  then I would :barf: :D
Does anyone know the difference with the FF VIP? I should just pay the $25, but I would like to know the diff first.
What is everyone else up to?
Hi Grace,
Maybe take away is in order tonight?? I'm so bad - whenever i dont feel like cooking we have take away..no wonder i have stacked on the weight!!
FF - Im not totally sure of the difference between normal and VIP. There is a section on the site where you can compare the two. I have just upgraded.
I'm sure you've told us before but how old are your scallywags?

I'll pop onto FF and read up on the difference
BOY scally is 3.5years old
and
GIRL scally is 2.2 years old
I would love take out. BUTTTTTT DH is the health food natzi. He freaks out if he puts on a kilo. AND he only weighs in at 71 kilos :hair:
I just PM you the link for the ff comparison table (am never sure what links we are allowed to post...)
Your scallywags are such cute ages!
Oh....a health food nazi....thats no fun!!!
FF comparison is under

* Order
* Feature comparison
For anyone else that wants to know.
DH is bring home work again, so it looks like I won't be online to chat tongiht
Oh thanks for the pm. i was just on ff looking for it.
I will just join up. The things we do. AND not to mention the lengths we go to!!!!
MY DH is the worst food Natzi ever. IMO But he does have a point. T/A can get very expensive and doesn't always taste great, but it does save me from cooking from time to time.
Like when we go on holidays. I end up cooking the whole time becasue he prefers my meals. AND we are due to go on holidays next week for 2 weeks. :snow:
Home cooking does always taste better but it is just no fun to cook (well some people do find it fun...I dont). It is especially no fun to cook when you're on holidays!
Are you all going away for two weeks? It'll be nice to have a break - your DH sounds like he needs a break from all the work he's bringing home!
He just SO, SO, SO needs this break. AND it's his birthday tomorrow. Yep gone for two weeks..... Mmmmmmmm
He had this semester off Uni and starts back on Jan 7th. So really he has no break. FOR him it will be work full time and every other minute left is Uni and then OHH cr@p that's right I have a family as well.
I juggles everything very well though I must say
Wow!! He really is a busy boy!! It sounds as if you both deserve this holiday!!
I am off to have my dinner now...will try to get back on later...

Hi Girls!!!!
I am busting to go to the loo but trying to hold it for a whole 2 hours so I can do another OPK (I never knew until Amy told me recently that you are meant to wait 2 hours of no peeing or drinking before doing them). I am BUSTING!!!! And it's not even been an hour
Grace- how are you feeling? What are we going to do for a whole 2 weeks without you  But the good news is you will probably O while away and everyone says that TTC on holiday is the most successfull :fingerscrossed:
Bubfee- what cycle day are you on?
Shea- HELLO! Are you out there? How are you going?
I think maybe I O'd today. My temp dipped right down lower than it's been this whole cycle, the ewcm I was having last night is GONE and I did an OPK earlier that was dark but not positive. We are going to BD again tonight and we have done so for the past 3 or 4 nights.

Kristi- glad to hear all is well with your bub :hugs:
Where is everyone???????
We ended up BD'ing last night, I jumped on DH while he was asleep and got him in the mood ;) I'm not certain I O'd yesterday because last night I had more ewcm but then this morning my temp was up a bit, not REALLY high but in the high range for this cycle so :fingerscrossed: I have O'd. Still going to BD every day until I am 500% certain that I've O'd.

going to see the naturopath tonight. my temp dipped to 36.3 (low for me) and is now on the way back up. so does that mean i o'd? except i haven't had an ewcm at all so who bloody knows
i did the 21 day blood test today and go get the results on sat. i hope the dr can tell me good news.
kristi - glad to hear things are getting better.
welcome giveitago

Hi Shea- sounds like it could be O that caused your temp to drop but it's hard to tell until you've had at least 3 consecutive high temps following the dip. I hope your naturopath appointment goes well, and also that your Dr has some good news for you. Keep us updated!

$150 later and i am back from the naturopath. she seems to think i have pcos as well, and i need to go on a strict diet and drink some yummy looking herbs.
well, off to coerce dh into the bedroom!
Hi girls
M2M any news on O yet?? Good girl for jumping DH when he was asleep...I will have to try that tactic....BD while we're ttc has been a bit average!!
I am on CD 15 and dont think I'm going to ovulate this month :( which means I dont think the acupuncture made me o last month...so onto clomid next cycle I think....
Grace yay for chinese!!! :smiliedance: As for the lathering of attention on him...!! That mede me laugh! I guess it is his birthday!!!
Ains the popping a cap comment made me laugh out loud!!
Shea why does she think you have pcos?

Hi Girls-
Ains- I hope you are feeling less hung-over tonight :hugs:
Grace- Happy Birthday to your DH!!!!
Bubfee- :hugs: I hope you do O this month and maybe it's just a little late or something.
I am soo confused tonight-
* My temps suggest I O'd yesterday
* My CM and O cramps suggest I am O'ing today
* My OPK's are getting darker but not yet positive so they would suggest I am at LEAST 24 hours from O
:hair: :hair: :hair:
I wouldn't care so much if it weren't for the fact that I have to have the blood test done at 7dpo to check my progesterone levels. A bit hard when I don't know for sure when I have O'd
How is everyone else going tonight???

good morning my sweet ttcers!!!! How are we this morning????? well i am doing good....me and dh are still not talking, we are so disconnected atm! he is saying i am always cranky (as in the other night) but i say my crankynss is justified!!!! his brother is a f***wit, end of story! so anyway.......we are going to a wedding this weekend out at west wyalong (which is like 6 hrs from sydney) we are staying at his nans house.....SEPERATE BEDS FOR US!!!! (not that i cause the only other diouble bed in the house is the one his pop died in.....so its a bit sensitive....well the mattress has been changed but the bed head is stil the same)

Good morning Ains!!!
I hope you an DH can sort things out soon. Maybe it is just the stress build up of the last 6 or more months of TTC that has gotten on top of you both :hugs: I'm sure you will be lovey dovey again after the wedding this weekend- weddings always do this to people! DH has been extra loving to me since we went to one last weekend
My temp went back down this morning, I still have fertile looking CM and OPK's aren't positive so don't think I have O'd yet. Maybe today or tomorrow :fingerscrossed: DH and I have been BD'ing every day for the past 6 or so days and it's getting hard while he does shift work. Tonight and tomorrow are night shift so lets just hope Mason co-operates and has a nap while DH is awake so we can get some BD'ing in ;)
We are building a big patio on our house to try to make it more appealing and maybe someone will buy it, I'm so excited!! It's going to be 9x4m, it arrives next Friday!!!!! Just waiting on council approval and then we'll be right to go  I hope it helps because we have been trying to sell our house for 10 months now :hair:

Hi Ains - families, AUGGH!! i've had my fair share of in-law problems so i can totally relate. Especially when you can see a loved one being taken advantage of but they are blind to it. Hope DHead comes around soon, fighting is never fun :hugs:
Bubfee - hope you did O this month, but if not Clomid should work wonders for you
Shea - I'm so lucky, my herbs are in a capsule form, but i do think the ones you drink are meant to be stronger and work quicker. My GP was convinced i had PCOS, but i didn't, then Gyno thought i had endometriosis, but i don't, so try not to worry too much.
Grace - how did you go lavishing DH with love and attention? Or did you literally lather him up in body wash...!

Shea why does she think you have pcos?
i've always thought i had pcos, and she sees heaps of women with it and she said it sounds very very similar. both my mum and sister have it.
didn't get to do the naughty last night as dh was passed out, and he is also going away for 4 days. although, it looks like i may have o'd the other day according to temps but not cm. here is the link anyways:

01-11-2007, 10:52
so if we bd the day before, did that mean we missed it? or would it be ok as swimmers can live for a few days in there?
kittykatz
01-11-2007, 10:56
Shea, BDing the day before is still great. They say 3 days before and the day of O is the best time, but sperm can live for up to 7 days. BDing the day before is really good because they are all there waiting for when the egg is released and the egg literally needs to move through all the live sperm.

Shea- what kittykatz said is right, you are in with a GREAT chance if you BD'd the day before O

My life has so quickly become a normal day by day life to........ 10 days to O, 9 days to O, 8 days to O.
I can't handle waiting for O. How on earth am I going to cope with the 2ww????
And I dont have the full support of DP like you guys do. We can "try" but not full on charting etc :shame: . hahahaha thats what he thinks. His sister took 8 years to get her BFP and he knows how much stress they went through.
He doesnt want me to want him for his swimmers  and doesnt want to be jumped 3 days a month cause I'm going to O.
Luckily he starts work extremely early  and therefor I can temp at 6am without him knowing. This is my first cycle off birth control after 8 years, which is scary enough, so I am enjoying getting to know how my body operates. I cant even remember how long my cycle should go for. I am hoping 28-29 days because I will O next Friday and DP shoots off for a two week fishing trip with the boys on Friday......I just keep thinking... Oh my god if I O too late I have wasted a whole month. Am I normal to be this obsessed so early???
Ah, the joys of TTC
kittykatz
01-11-2007, 11:27
giveitago - i can totally relate - DH is hating having to BD on a schedule. I actually bought him so chinese herbs for libido to try for next cycle!! And he keeps rolling his eyes everytime i mention cervical mucus and tell him my temp every morning!
But someone has to take control of the situation!! Imagine if guys had the responsibilty for ovulation/pregnancy etc they would fall to pieces.
I have charted nearly two full cycles now, and i am less obsessed than i am used to, but your life does certainly change when you are focused on CD this, DPO that!!
honeydew
01-11-2007, 11:33
giveitago- you are completely normal!!! It is so easy to get obsessed, especially this early on. My DH thinks all the stuff I do (temping, OPK's & checking CM) is crazy. He is only really supporting it this month since I have to do it to pinpoint the exact day of O for the test I'm getting done. Don't be too worried if your cycle is a bit longer this time, lots of girls say that their first couple of cycles off the pill are a bit longer.
I find charting takes a lot of the stress out of things. When we were TTC Mason I didn't understand how anything worked, I just knew you had to have sex to get pregnant. This time it is so much better because I know if I haven't O'd so therefore I'm not doing a HPT every 2nd day like I was last time
honeydew
01-11-2007, 11:35
Also, I have found a lot of other people negative about charting saying that 'if you just relax and let it be it will happen' but my argument to that is charting tells you so much about your body. If I hadn't been charting I would have had no idea that I have problems so I say go for it!
giveitago
01-11-2007, 11:44
I haven't dared tell a soul whats going on.
Every time we have thought about trying someone is getting married or someone else is pregnant. I once got told we were selfish for thinking about TTC in the same year as a relative was getting married.
I would love to tell my mum that we are trying, but she would spend every cent on baby stuff before we even get our first pg result.
My partner and I are realistic about the fact that we will more than likely experience lots of :bfn: 's before we get our :bfp: . but I just dont have the heart to crush my mum's heart and tell her no, no first grandchild this month
I think its just easier to keep your mouth shut until you have a :bfp: then there is not much anyone can say really :)
And this is the first time in.... ever I am wide awake at 6 am so I can temp and lick the cr@p out of the Maybe Baby
MoonstoneMumma
01-11-2007, 11:46
giveitago - this is my first month charting. i normally have 63 day cycles and i need to do it to work out what the help is going on with my body. my dh was very confused and still is about all the cm and temps and so forth.
:fingerscrossed: i did o then. i also now remember having a twingey pain down there and i thought to myself at the time (i wonder if this is o pain) so lets hope it was!
meeting another doula soon so im gonna head off. ttfn
kittykatz
01-11-2007, 11:58
Giveitago - it is really hard TTC. When you tell people they can be in your face saying 'are you pregnant yet, are you pregnant yet' and it is so disappointing when your not. But if you don't tell people, you have to make up stuff like "we're not ready".
Temping is not crazy. It is what most gyno's, naturopaths, acupuncturist recommend. I have learned so much about my body from doing it, and the variences are so different for each person, that you can be missing the fertile period every month and not knowing it, unless you get to know your own cycles.
Good luck with it all!!

When we were TTC Mason I told EVERYONE (family & friends but not work) and I regretted it because it was so upsetting when everyone would ask "are you pregnant yet?". This time I had only told 2 of my closest friends (one who was newly pregnant and one who had just had my god-daughter a few months prior) but when I had my early m/c I was so upset and we told our immediate family so we had support around us. So of course they all then knew we were TTC and they have all asked since if we are still trying and I don't like lying so we say yes. My family all know about the problems we are having and the tests etc but DH's don't because they just don't talk about personal stuff EVER, everything is so hush-hush in their family. I don't think anyone in either family understands what we are going through because we are the first of everyone to have had trouble conceiving.
Shea- aww that sucks for you :hugs: I really do feel your frustration. Although my cycles aren't as long, I do know how it feels and you constantly feel like you are waiting and waiting and waiting. And before you know it, people who got their AF AFTER you are O'ing again :hair: It is so frustrating, I hope that they can sort out what is wrong and whether there is something they can do t regulate your cycles a bit :fingerscrossed:
DH is sleeping at the moment because he is working night shift tonight but I managed to time things well and got a good BD session in while Mason was napping. We are on track, I just hope I O soon because there's only so much BD'ing that one can do  At least this month I will feel confident, whereas other months I have stressed a little over when we timed things. If there is any hope of me falling pregnant then this is the month for it!! :babydust2:

so here's a question - if i have very low progesterone, is there a supplement you can take?
honeydew
01-11-2007, 22:02
Shea- if you have low progesterone does that mean that your luteal phase is short?? This is what I have and I think it is caused by low progesterone. It is good that you are temping this cycle so you know if it is short or not. Apparently vitex (sold over the counter at the chemist) can solve this but might take some time. Others have said that clomid might be prescribed for it and I have also heard of things like progesterone creams that can help. We can go through this together at least :hugs: I am getting blood tests done at 7dpo to check progesterone levels.
