Im always paranoid about over heating Brodie so i dress him very lightly but he is wrapped and has another blanket over the top tucking him in....
My sil however always had her babys in warm jumpsuits and blankets and heater on etc....Just curious as to what you dress your babies in for sleeping....

THis is what i do - as the weather can't make up it's mind atm.
Warmish Night - Cotton Jumpsuit, Cotton Wrap and Cotton Blanket on top to tuck him in nice and tight....(yep he's a squirmer)
Cold Night - Thicker Jumpsuit, Wool Wrap and a thin Wool Blanket on Top
In Between - Cotton Jumpsuit, Cotton Wrap with a Wool Blanket on Top
In Summer, I'm hoping he's over wrapping by then LOL, but I have some VERY thin wraps i can use and he can just sleep in a singlet and nappy then :)
Being in Darwin its always hot so Jasper sleeps in either a short sleeved grow suit and wrapped in a muslin wrap or just a singlet and wrapped in a muslin. His air conditioner is on each night for a couple of hours to cool his room down as well. It doesn't matter how we wrap as by the time he wakes he has undone it anyway.
Aston generally sleeps in a long jumpsuit - Cotton one if its fairly warm, A thicker one if it's a little cool....
I generally wrap him in a cotton wrap - Making sure his hands are OUT otherwise he chucks a tantrum!
Then he has a sheet, and blankets on - Depending how cold it is, as to how many blankets...

Hi Ally,
I use a cotton suit and usually a flanelette wrap, I don't put any blankets on till I go to bed as DD is usually warm from her bath. I have one cotton quilt and one fleece blanket I put on her. I am in Melbourne so similar to your weather. You know when they are too hot, they cry when you put them down and dont settle well. I feel DDs head to see if she seems too hot. I never use heaters in her room, just me, I prefer to have a cold room and warm blankets.
I do use muslim wraps in the day, but she can move her hands too much in them at night!
HTH!

Our nites here tend to drop down to 4 or 5 degrees still so Squeak is dressed in a polar fleece jumpsuit then wrapped in a muslin wrap then into his bassinette where he has a sheet, flanalette sheet & polar fleece blanket covering him. I then keep an eye on his as to whether he needs more or less.
The best guide to go by is what you need to keep yourself warm so dress them this way then add an extra layer & they will be fine !
Seth usually sleeps in a long sleeved Bonds suit, or other cotton suit, wrapped in a cotton wrap and with a blanket tucked in over him. If it seems colder the I fold the blanket over again to double it up. If it's warmish then I wrap him in a muslin wrap instead of the cotton wrap.
Our place is warm but the rule of thumb is one extra layer to what you need for a baby.

we have our heater on 18 (so its always a nice temp, not hot or cold)
Hunter hates being hot....maybe same as me....
so he's in a singlet (studded at the bum for access to nappy), and a long sleeve top.
he hated wondersuit type of things - i think he hated his feet too hot ....ok with me, i farken hated them in night for nappy changes...
any more than 3 studs and its out for nite.....otherwise we wake him up too much...
we almost always ditch pants at night because i could tell he was plenty warm enough...but they are on change table just in case...the bonds ones with feet in them are great for whipping on and off in morning
he has flanno wrap swadding him, and a blanket over that, keeping him down tightly.
i generally think that his sleep positioner also adds warmth so he's just right...
we've got a sleeping bag/grobag fetish here (i do) but so far have only been using in pram for night walks or in the car....they all have little holes in middle so harness can go thru
ally, i am sure you are dressing brodie perfectly. xxxx

Myfanwy wears either a bonds gro suit OR a lighter cotton all in one.
She is then wrapped in a Muslin wrap and when i go to bed i then put a little blanket on her.
It is still warm whe she goes to bed, but at about
2am it cools off heaps.
