Well, I'm both excited and confused!
After struggling to get DS to eat even a tiny amount of rice cereal with breast milk for the last couple of weeks, I mixed it with water today (couldn't be bothered expressing!) and he ate about two tablespoons worth!?! I made up my usual tiny portion and he gobbled it down so quick, I made some more.
You would think that he would have preferred it with breast milk.... but as long as he's making progress with eating I guess it's fine?:)
There's no reason to stress about him having it with water is there? He's still having substantial milk drinks during the day.

My DS is nearly 9 months old and has been having his farex with water since he was 4.5 months old... He has had no reaction, so I think its fine...

Sometimes for a change I mix it with juice (heinz baby juice) or friut and it goes down a treat...

My DS won't eat it if I make it with his milk. He will only eat it if made with water. I also put some pureed pears in it too. He now eats a very big breakfast because he loves it so much.

I used to use water or juice from when i stewed apples & pears. I'd always mix the farex with stewed fruit or veg mush too for added iron. I'd keep the juice & freeze it in ice cube trays. I also used Prune Juice at times.

Luca loves wheat bix too i usually throw half a teaspoon of fomula powder in with it then just warm water from kettle. good for a change when he seems a bit bored with farex and rice cereal. I add pureed fruit to most breaky too to liven it up a bit, have you tasted it - yuck!!:D
