Have you ever had a "feeling/vibe" about a school...
For some strange reason I just get a really bad vibe about DD's current school. This is her second primary school she has been to.

It is more about the school in general and I have never had that feeling. I am so glad that she will be going to a different school next year.

I freak myself out just getting this "feeling". Truely don't know what it is. She seems happy enough, it is me - all me!!!!

BUT next week we are taking a trip up to where we are moving to, and unfortunately we will have to go to look around schools, but no one will be there. There is a choice of about four schools in the area, all DD wants in a school is for it to have a choir. I will be going up later in the year to check out the school in action, but this will be a "facilities" check!

Do you think that you can get bad/good vibes without actually seeing anyone??:detective:

Thanks

Yes,

When we were looking at school's for DD1 I had only just walked into the gate and got an awful feeling. Nothing that really made sense but I just didn't like it at all. Even my mum who was with me at the time felt the same. It was strange.

Then when I got to the office and spoke to someone I decided then and there that there was no way she was going there. I was told because she is a June baby that she will be behind everyone else starting at the school and also emotionally not ready. She wasn't even with me, so they had absolutely nothing to base that opinion on either except for her age. (It is a public school) But as I said even before I spoke to them at the office I didn't like it there.

We ended up applying at 3 school's. She ended up going to the one that we liked the best. DD1 was happy because it had what she wanted. A hopscotch!

Goodluck.:)

I think you can get good vibes when we moved here it was in the holidays so no school was open but we drove around and had a look at them, i got good vibes from one of them. When school opened i rang around and found the one that i had good vibes about was the one i thought would be best :) I dont regret going with my instinct though as i have heard some pretty bad reports about the schools that i was going to send dd too

Recently i went to a highschool to see my dd#1 perform in a primaryschool musical(they were using theirhall)..anyhow i got a lovely feeling about the highschool which is the one dd will most probably go to.

:iagree: When I took my DD to her interview with the principal last year I just felt a really good vibe with the whole school and I turned out to be right. It is a great school.
