 Hi there
I have a little 4mo who is suffering a red rash. It started when he was 2mo just on one arm (on the elbow and a bit up the arm), progressed to the other arm in the same fashion. I then noticed it on the tops of his thighs. Now it is also over his tummy and chest. It starts as red dots (like milk rash) and then reddens. After a day or so, it has a dry feel. I'm unsure as to whether it is eczema, heat rash or other. My dilema being that if it is eczema - you moisturise, BUT if it's a form of heat rash, you shouldn't. Not knowing what it is, means I can't do anything. I have tried the following:
I was using a J&J Milk bath - now I wash in sorbolene (doing for 10 days now)
I've tried rose hip oil - no improvement
I powder him after bath with J&J Cornstarch
- no improvement
Just wondering if any other parents out there are having/or had a similar problem & what they have done. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
