Was reading another thread and Mummy to Mason mentioned she had had mixed advice about Vitex. I have just started taking it two weeks ago but am now unsure as we are TTC#1 has anyone had success on it or taken it and found no difference? :o :smiliedance:

I've had huge success with it helping with my periods and PMS symptoms, don't know about conception yet because it generally takes 3 months to have a full effect and i've only been on it 2months. But my cousin was TTC for 12 months, and had a miscarriage, then started vitex and was pregnant within 2 months. She had a healthy baby in June.
The dosages vary heaps though, and i've only had success with 2 x 1000mg tablets before breakfast, other brands are a much lower dose.

We ttc for 4 years without success, I was pregnant within 4 weeks of taking vitex (amongst other herbs). It does depend what is the root cause of the infertility, but I know of multiple women with PCOS and endo who swear by Vitex. My only complaint is even in tablet form, it tasted vile :barf:
I"ve never taken it
but everyone I know of that has has fallen preg within 4/5mths of taking it

Hello
I had success with vitex for my 3 girls. I would take vitex for the first 2 weeks of my cycle and then false unicorn root for the 2nd 2 weeks. They were all within the first month of taking it. I think you've also gotta believe in what you're taking for it to be fully effective. This cycle I've started taking something different - Reprofem by natures sunshine. It's got all the good herbs for falling preg in it. Goodluck and I hope it works for you!!!
