For the past 2 days I have had a really bad pain at the top of my stomach (uterus??). It feels like a torn muscle or something. Everytime I bend down, pick DS up, or cough it kills, like a really sharp pain. Even moving in bed last night hurt. I don't think it's anything to worry about but boy does it hurt.
Anyone else had these pains?

Im nearly 25wks and I have awful stretching at the top of my bump, mainly when I've been standing for ages. I'm seeing my ob tomorrow so I'll ask him. I haven't worried about it so far, just thought it was normal but I have got bigger, much quicker this time round.

I had that around 24 weeks with this bubs and also dd bub 3, apparently my stomach muscles are split and this is what causes the pain, doesnt hurt to get checked out though for your own peace of mind :)
if its anywhere near your ribs it could be the baby, uterus or other organs pressing on your ribs. I experiance this now when i bend down, lean forward etc and my Ob explained that this is what it was.

Punkbaby I think you could be right there. The pain is an inch and half above my belly button and is about the size of a golf ball. It's not bubs in my ribs, I remember that pain from Bailey but this is different.
I can't even blow my nose without being in agony.

Its not a nice feeling Mel there are some really light excersizes you can do that will help a little and ease things for you but unfortunately you cant really get into the ones that actually repair it so to speak till bubs is born. Your middies can tell you what excersizes work they were a great help with mine and even though it has only eased things about 20% it feels a heck of a lot better than it did.
Have you been checked out properly to eliminate any other problems? Might be worth it just encase its not this thats all :) Good luck its a horrible pain i wouldnt wish it apon anyone
You poor thing, how uncomfortable! I had this for a while at the end, maybe 8 weeks? It turned out to be a tear. The only good thing (which may happen to you too!) was that because there was enough stretching to tear the muscle... it also affected the nerve... and most of it went numb for the last few weeks :o  so that kind of fixed it!
It did heal very well and quickly after I gave birth, just some gently massaging of the area helped too.
