Hi Kylie!
Well, I'm 27 and my husband is 32, this is our first child and we don't know the sex. I live in Shepparton which is in country Victoria population about 40,000 I think. I'm looking forward to motherhood although a little aprehensive about giving birth, I think once labour begins I'll be fine it's just the waiting.
Gotta go cook tea now, talk again soon!

Hi Kylie!
I'm doing fine! Last night was the first time I have been really uncomfortable but I think it was just because I did too much yesterday and tired myself out.
What's your daughters name? and are you planning to have another anytime soon? :)
I didn't have a 21st birthday bash as I was getting married 4 months later and was saving madly to pay for it, so I would like to have a 30th but I'll probably be preggers with no.2 by then! oh well! :D

Hi Kylie!
Well would you believe we have Chloe picked out for a girl and Cooper for a boy although they are not set in stone, we also like Holly, Sarah, Lachlan and Will.
I have been cleaning but I'm not sure it's nesting. I want to come home to a clean house so I've been trying not to leave things until the next day just in case I go that night, but I've heard when you're nesting you clean things that you normally only worry about once a year. You were probably too tired to worry about cleaning!
I havn't started trying anything to go into labour yet but maybe I'll go for a walk tomorrow or even suprise my hubby with sex tonight seeing as he'll miss out for a while once bubs arrives! :D

Hi Kylie!
No baby yet, I'm due tomorrow but who knows when it will happen, after reading posts about being induced I hope I don't need to be! The midwife said the baby is engaged so hopefully I don't have to wait too much longer! :D
At this stage we're thinking I will go back to work but it all depends on what my baby is like and how I cope being a mum, the plan is go back between #1 and #2 and then be a stay at home mum so we'll see.
I can't wait to meet my baby! talk to you again soon! :)

Hi Kylie,

I moved from Penrith to Buxton in September 2003. It is a change of pace but I am loving it here.

I also find motherhood quite stressful at times especially on those bad days. Though when I see Taylah having a big belly laugh it makes it all worth it. It is surprising how a little child can have you almost weeing your pants with laugther.

Is Kloe your only child? That is a brillant way to spell her name.

I thought that I was being very original with my version of spelling Tayla's name but it wasnt to be. Every where that I look now mums are spelling it the same way.

I originally grew up on the south coast at Thirroul but once I reached the age of leaving the parents abode I was out of there.

Are you originally from Bargo?

Talk to you soon

Tamara :) :)

Hi Kylie.

I hope that you enjoy your holiday. Where are you going? When my husband and I got married Taylah was eight months old and we went to Fiji for ten days. It was the best and longest ten days of my life. I had a great time but I did truly miss Taylah.

Sometimes it is a bit too quiet out here but I wouldnt swap for the world now. Are you married or have a partner?

I have been really busy also the last week or so. I work from home so balancing work and play time is something that I am not used to yet. I usually find myself working until the wee hours of the morning. Lucky for me Taylah is a late sleeper and usually doesnt get up until about 9am.

Anyway must go, Nemo has just finished on the DVD and it will be a tragic soon.

Talk to you soon

Tamara and Taylah :)

Hi everyone,

it would be good for the southern highlands mums to form a playgroup. the only playgroups in the southern highlands r in bowral. i think there should be one in mittagong. just to let people know that i have a 22 month old boy. also there is a belly dancing class in mittagong at the new gym and they have child minding facilitites. its on tuesday mornings at 10:30. bookings required. it is great fun.

 Hi simone, im at Buxton which is about 20min from mittagong.
Im also 28 and just had my first bub in may.
I moved out this way in oct 2003.
Where did you move to mittagong from?
If you'd like some company and cuppa one day then we'll organise it,i know how hard it can be moving to an area where you dont know anyone.

Are you nervous about the bub and the labour,i wasnt at first then as it got closer i started to feel sick thinking aout it but then i got so over being huge and the sleepness nights that i just wanted it over.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Tanya:)

Hi Tanya,

Sorry i took so long to get back to you,i thought i was the only one around the area, as the other posts were back in 2005.I don't have the net at home at the moment, so i just happened to be bored at work and thought i would check my post, what a nice suprise to see i had a message. :smiliedance: I moved from sydney Dec 2005,but i still working in sydney 4 days a week, so i do alot of driving.I am kinda shy with new people, so it is pretty hard to meet people. Your little girl looks beautiful, was she your first? How have you adjusted?
I am pretty curious about labour at this stage, but as you said when it gets closer i may panic, but i am very excited,i don;t know the sex, i thought i would need a suprise after giving birth. Are you on maternity leave, or lucky enough to be able to stay at home? Would love to catch up sometime. :)
Sim

Hi Sim,

My little girls name is monique and yes she is our first,we decided to find out the sex because i really wanted to prepare her room and buy cute little outfits. Plus im hopeless at surprises:D

My labour wasnt too bad and i didnt get time for any painrelief at the end so it was a natural experience that went for only 6hours.

At first when we got her home she was an angel, sleeping all the time and i thought what a breeze it was but she slowly started ruling the roost by having us holding her constantly to stop her crying till in the end i had no time for anything and i was so down in the dumps. However my mum made me see that we had to let her cry abit more and have time to herself on her playmat and since then she's been sleeping well and a much better bubs.

We decided for me to resign from my job as they didnt have casual work for me to return to and i really wanted to be with her at first as much as possible but i am looking for something local that i could do maybe 2-3 days a week and mum will look after her.

At the moment however im home everyday so if you would like to get together then ill give you my email address and hope to hear from you soon. :) bindiloo@iinet.net.au
