I received my second lot of fluffy mail today - three of these. They are great and I am impressed so far.

Just wondering why they are so much cheaper compared to other brands? And if they are AIO's,l why are they cheaper that fitteds or pockets?

Great that you are liking the MA's!

In answer to you question on the price I'm going to be lazy and quote Davina.

It actually is to do with the cost of the materials, and the established RRP in America, from which the brand originates, along with my vision for the future.

In regards to material.... synthetics just dont cost as much as natural fibres. If the MAs were made with say, hemp or bamboo in them, they would cost more. Our bamboo and hemp fitteds are made at the same place as our Magic-Alls (really lucky to have a good factory behind us), and have exactly the same 'mark up' on them too, yet the fitteds are more expensive.....why? Because they are made from natural fibres where as Magic-Alls are all man made materials. Plus, there isnt as much to a magic-all, anyone who has them already knows they are a very 'simple' nappy.....if that makes sense. Quite plain, (though the new colours are hot if I do say so myself!) But yeah, they are basic, certainly not a 'show off nappy' like KKs, Honeyboys, Bubblebubs, Jaybees, Very Baby etc. It aint possible to make nappies as personalised as that on a mass-produced scale, and I know this because for 2 years I sat at home and sewed Baby BeeHinds myself.

In regards to the established RRP, in America, AIOs generally cost between $15.00 and $19.00 US, which is about the $18- $23.00 price range depending on the exchange rate. Magic -Alls have been around in America for a good 18 months remember, and we need to keep pricing in line wih what they have been thus far.....there are a lot of retailers etc in the US who are familiar with MAs and would like to continue stocking them. It was only smart for Baby BeeHinds to keep the same sort of price range....not suddenly charge $5-10 more than what the market is used to paying for a nappy of a particular brand.
[snip]........obviously we get a fair few made up so we get a volume discount on production, and those savings are passed on to the consumer

Thank you - that makes a lot of sense!
