Could it be Athsma???

My DD has had a really weezy breathing for a couple of weeks now... it hasnt really bothered me till now.

lately its been getting worse it sounds really chesty...

she does have a slight cough although most of the time she makes herself coughby putting her finges in her mouth...

any advise?

Does she have a cold or something maybe? It doesnt hurt to get her checked out by a gp though it may be just a slight cold or could be mild asthma.

I would get her looked at just to be sure :)

Does it bother her when she coughs like does she seem to be short of breath or upset by it?

At her age it would be very hard to diagnose athsma and i don't think any doctor would diagnose athsma,i have had trouble getting them to diagnose my 14 month old.

I think they would probably say bronchiolitis,which occurs from 0-12 months.They donot like diagnosing asthma in under 2 yr olds.

I would take her to the doctors though,she might not be getting enough oxygen.

It could be asthma but at her age it would be hard to tell,good luck i hope your dd is better soon :hugs:

Some will heavensent if you get a good pead ds was diagnosed at 6 months only they found he has a very deep chest wall like a huge dip in his chest and they said its quiet common to have asthma if your chest is like that :)

Hope they manage to diagnose your 14month old you would think they would know by now seeing at that age they are mobile

yeah im taking her to the GP in the morning...
might just be a cold...ah well we will see what he says

The doctor i seen today said it's definitely asthma,the ammount of times he has been in hospital says it all.

Im just waiting to see a specialist which is taking a while.

This is just what i have been told by most doctors.Hope it helps :hugs:
