My son is 19 months old and i have felt for a couple of months now that he is ready to toilet train. We are about to move house and after we do i plan on putting all my effort into toilet training him.

Hi
My daughter was the same. She was telling me she had to do a poo before she did it and would also go and get me a clean nappy.
I went out and bought a potty and the padded toilet seat and tried to toilet train her. It didnt work. She just sat there. I also put her in undies but she just kept wetting herself and the carpet. She would tell me later and I would put her on the toilet but nothing.
She is now 26 months old. She will still sit on the toilet seat occassionally but just likes putting toilet paper down the toilet. Hopefully she will just understand one day.
Try putting your kids on the potty or toilet, it may work for them, others might not be ready till their 3, each child is different. Good luck

Hi, I have a son, now 2 and a half, and a daughter 10 months. Eli is now toilet trained for no1 but not no2, he waits till he is in a nappy (nice of him) for nap or bed, and then does it. I would love to know how I encourage him to do poos? As for the other stuff, I have a link you can try (I actually paid 27 US for the book as a pdf, so I hope you can open it, and it should help you with all the other stuff. I found just being ready myself, and regualrly putting him on for a few hours (like 1/2 hourly) each day, he started to have some success, and it got more and more regular. He got stickers, and loved that. Eventually he was doing 5 wees in 5 mins... little rat! But I didn't care. Good luck

All I can offer is leave a potty out & her nappy off & see how she goes. She will have an accident or few but she may also take to it or scream until she has a nappy on.
All I can say is good luck either way

I have a 14mnth old who loves going to potty for wees, she takes herself(although she still crawls) and slaps the door until it bangs open then her father or i rush in and pull her nappy off. When i have told young mums like me that she goes to the potty they all say oh she is too young, i say nonsense i bought the potty sat her on it then myself on our toilet and i did a wee. Explained what it was *wow mummy doing a wee wee, mummy is a good girl*then i clap for myself.
she then clapped herself and done a wee and that was at 12mnths old within a week she started to go to the potty by herself. with us rushing to help her. I stress at this time we are only doing it when we change nappies bath time and when she takes herself, when she doesnt go we dont say anything no criticising and no praise.
We are about to move and this may cause a little disruption but once we settle we are going to try pants etc, and see how we go. Try it with your daughter she seems like she understands, and there will be many accidents just try not to yell.
If it doesn't work at least you tryed. Ask your mum and other older relies and I'm sure they will say how they had you all trained by 18mnths give or take a few mnths.
remember praise praise praise.

When my son has done something in his nappy you say to him have you done poos and he takes his nappy off. We went through a stage where he was ripping his nappy off all the time and thats why we thought if he was going to do this we may as well try and toilet train him.
