Here are some of my objections to 'penile reduction surgery'.

Medical circ was introduced in the late 1800s in order to prevent masturbation and insanity. It was designed to deaden and desensitise the penis.

The recent Sorrells study found that circ removed the 5 most sensitive parts of the penis. The most sensitive part of the circed penis is the circumcision scar.

Overall the loss of sensitivity is a whopping 75%. The foreskin includes a mucous membrane, blood vessels, 15 square inches of skin (in the adult) and about 20,000 nerves.

Circ is harmful, reducing blood flow and ages the penis prematurely. Circed men tend to develop
erectile problems at a younger age. Loss of sensitivity increases with age. Circed penises are smaller on average (even excepting the foreskin).

It creates a wide range of complications, many that never get attributed to the circ.

Circ is unique in that its a procedure elected by parents. Any reason (no matter how absurd)
for even no reason is acceptable. This means that circ is not really medicine at all.

Circ on an infant is completely unethical. Its an abuse of human rights. It is illegal to cut off a dog's tail, but you can circumcise your son.

The effect is permanent. It lasts a lifetime and can be never be fully undone.

As a male, all I can say is YES! Ladies you are right. I feel so glad that I was not circ'd. I have actually paid great attention to where I feel sensation during sex.

I feel confident that more research will prove how damaging this surgery is. It affects the sex life of both male and female partners.

It is wonderful that women are standing up and saying NO to circumcision.

(copied and pasted from another thread)
This puts it into perspective

I watched the Oprah episode about 'the pregnant man'. The 'guy'(still with girl reproductive parts) said when he started taking Male hormones his Clitoris grew into a Small penis......

As soon as I heard that I cringed at the thought of what people were doing to their sons.
I only have girls and its illegal to circumcise them, although its okay to do the same to a boy IYKWIM....

Sometimes NOT being circumcised can affect the sex lifes of both male and females, if you have the medical condition phimosis ( tight foreskin), if you have this and none of the other options available work, you have no other choice but to have a circumcision or suffer pain and discomfort during sex. This said i know this because that is what my partner went through and eventually at the age of 27 got a circ, because that was all that would fix it. So there is times when men really do need to have it done.

I watched the Oprah episode about 'the pregnant man'.

Oprah has had a woman on her show at least 3 or 4 times, who promotes her anti-aging cream.

The prime ingredient that the cream is made from is infant foreskins.

This has turned me off Oprah for life.
