View Full Version : Short period - could i be pregnant?

Hi, I'm 23 and hubby and i have been trying for a baby for about 2 months now. I have fairly regular periods, however, my last period was only for 2 days and then nothing - not even spotting since. The last couple days (a week since i stopped bleeding) i have been feeling quite sick - like stomach ache sortof symptoms... today i've been feeling oddly "light headed" and have a really "heavy" sortof pain in my stomach... could i be pregnant?? is it possible to still have a short period?? and how soon would a pregnancy test work??

When I fell pregnant with DD I got my a light period that lasted only 1 day. I would test now.

Is it best to use preg test first thing in the morning??

Also - i should say - the 2 days my period lasted it was fairly "normal" (ie not heavier / lighter than usual)...

How many days after you conceive will a preg test work??

10 to 14 days after conception. but if you've had af then a test should work....good luck, sounds promising!!!

yep I had this with DD. thought it was my period but when it had gone after 2 days decided i might be preggers after all. did a hpt about a week after i stopped bleeding and it was:bfp: so best of luck to you!

Well i tested today (about 5 days after i stopped bleeding)... but was :bfn:

Still feeling quite "off" this morning but prob just a virus or something! :gloomy:

Hi all

I have had 5 diff cycles since m/c, longest being 45days which was my last. Usually im 34 days. I am now 2 days o'due and had blood in mucus. I have had bleeding between periods also. Im so frustrated!! I have had acupuncture and taken herbs so i thought this month may be different.

I'm seeing the doc on Wednesday. Has anyone had similar experience and how long after this experience did it take to conceive?
I tested one day before AF and today, :bfn:.

They weren't early morning urine and I used crystal clear, so i doubt im pregnant but by god am I frustrated:mad:
