Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a numb sensation in their legs/ upper thigh? It is on the right hand side and happens when I stand for more than about 15 minutes:(
I am 35 weeks pregnant this week.
It nearly feels like the beginning or end of pins and needles but it isn't ( if that makes sense at all).
It goes away if I sit down thank goodness but it is really getting annoying.

I had something similar.
It's probably going to be due to a nerve being compressed.
A chiropractor may be able to help.
I get a numb left left lower thigh. It gets painful sometimes. I asked my Ob at my last visit and he said that a nerve is being compressed in my groin and said it is common. I am going to ask him at my next visit is physio can help. I am only 23w and this is going to drive me crazy for the next 17 weeks.

Thanks guys,
I hope physio does help because yes, this would drive me crazy if I thought I had that long to go with it:eek:

Hi Everyone,
I had that from early on until about 20 weeks, and it was from anything, sitting, standing etc. Went to see a physio and he did heaps of massage on my back and gave me exercises to do and after about 4 weeks it went away.
Definitely seek some help, I left it for so long because I thought it was just par for the course and it was really starting to effect my happiness because it was non stop.
Hope it goes soon!

Hi There,
Just thought I'd let you know I had this with both of my pregnancies, went away after birth. I've a good friend who's an osteopath, said it was very common and harmless.
Cheers, Kate:o
