OMG I just saw this on Oprah!!!

A mum hired a stripper(who btw went fully naked  ) to entertain at her sons 16th B'Day party!!!!

The boys at the party apparently took some very explicit photos and when the mum went to get them developed they called the cops.

Both the mum and dad were jailed for a brief period, ordered to go to parenting classses and threatened to take their children away from them.

The father apparently was against the stripper but didnt stop the incident.

I have to say I am shocked that a mother would get a stripper for her son!

Unbelievable

What do you all think?

My eldest son is 16 next month and their is no way I would allow that.
What kind of mother is she.

Oprah is just starting here so I will definately watch it.

Totally agree *Nod nod* this is actually my worst nightmare Im going to do everything and anything to teach my son to respect women not degrade them and treat them like as Oprah put it "a piece of meat"

That is disgusting!! what sort of message is she sending to her son?
At one of my cousins 21st recently, some of his mates hired a stripper, his mother (my cousin) my aunt (his grandmother) and my grandmother all went outside because they didnt want to embaress him, or see their baby with a stripper, of course at 21 it was out of their hands, but surely that is pretty abnormal, not only a mother feeling comfortable about her son having a stripper, but organising it for him? and at only 16??? just plain wrong imo.

It is hard in this world with so many outside influences and peer pressure but if you can try and set a good example at home it helps.

My son is very fussy when it comes to girls and has only had 1 girlfriend. Thank goodness. He has pretty high standards and does not like "tarty" girls.

Encouraging disrespect is just not right.

I just watched that too (well most of it)................WTF????? What I couldn't believe is that the mother still doesn't think it was the wrong thing to do!!! She seemed kind of smug about the whole thing to me. And the father......was he all there?! At least he thought it was wrong, I guess, even though he did nothing to stop it. All I ahve to say is

She's what I would call an oxygen thief. If people like that had a brain they'd be dangerous ... what a shame no one taught her the action=consequence model.

Yes Jem, when Oprah asked the mum "do you regret it?" she said half and half, I regret what happend afterwards but dont regret hiring the stripper!

Then she went on to say she sent her 14 year old daughter inside with her coz she wouldnt let her watch and she didnt want to watch it herself etc

If my son had been at that party and had been exposed to that sort of messed up stuff I dont know what I would have done! The first thing that comes to mind is to sue them lol but thats so American

Supermummy- very true :D
