where to find a particular costume!!??

thats what i have to wear to the Ancient Roman murder mystery party - thats my characters outfit.

Need some suggestions for where I may be able to go to get an idea for a costume for an engagement party we are going to?!

Ive looked on the web for ideas, may go look at the costume hire place. ????? im stuck.

my DH is easy, he wears a white shirt under a toga - ill just buysome fancy purple material....cause he has to wear purple.

I've been to about 5 murder mystery parties... I love them.

I think the costume suggestions you're given are more of a suggestion than a direct order... just to give you a feel for what your character would wear. There's no reason why you can't find a nice sheet, tie it up all fancy on your body, then get some golden rope to put around some of it.

The lead female actresses in the movies TROY & Gladiator wear some pretty regal looking stuff. Perhaps you could get some inspiration from there if you are handy with a sewing machine?
