Hi Holz,

I'm having my bub at Mercy (so can't help you with your choice of OB), but was going to suggest you look at the list of 'Who's given birth where' as to girls who've been to Glengarry or Joondalup. Send them a pm and I'm sure they'll give you lots of feedback. I don't think any of the girls currently on the forum are going to either of the places you've mentioned, so I don't know how many answers you'll get from the currently pregnant gang.

Hope this helps...

Hi Holz
I just had my baby at Joondalup 4 weeks ago with Susan Isdale (who works alongside Margo Norman), and she was really great. Very calm and cruisy even during the thick of labour when I was being fairly vocal!! The delivery went well, even though I had an awful labour. My daughter came in at a whopping 8lb7oz with a head circ of 38cm and i had no tearing or need for stitches even though she had to be vacuumed out in the end.
I also had a couple of my appointments with Margo and she was lovely as well. Really personable and easy to talk to..so I dont think you could go wrong with either. I know that Margo is quite popular and you have to book well in advance.
Also I only moved to Perth 7 weeks before my baby was due so my relationship with both drs was quite short but i felt super comfortable with both of them.
I will point out though, that while i was there one of the midwives actually said she preferred Susans approach as she was way less edgy when things got stressful...but that could be just hospital politics...who knows??
Anyway hope that helps.
