I had a mum last night from work (who has a new baby boy) asking me about circumcision, whether we did it or not, the pro's and cons etc tec.

Her DH wants it done and she doesn't so they are in a dilema.
He flat out refuses to research it and she has tried to persuade him not to get it done, BUT he is adamant to have it done so his little boy looks like he does:rolleyes:.

ANYWAY... i told her i would send her some stuff via email for her to read and to try to get him to read it too. BUT to please read the FOR and AGAINST.

They both sat down and read it and he has changed his mind!:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap: She said he was horrified!

I feel like i just saved this little one from being circ'd!!!:smiliedance:

If you look on here in the threads from Mother Nurture you will find heaps!
I sent her alot of the stuff from here and then told her to research her own arguments for the "for side". As i couldnt find any that i thought were really relevant.

If you cant be bothered looking, let me know(om me your email addy) and i'll do the same for you:hugs:

well done! Another willy saved!

Its funny because when jaxon was born i asked what he wanted and dp said that he would prefer if he was done, but i said nope, no way:no: not going to happen:shame: over my dead body!!

He was a little shocked and he asked why did i even bother asking him? I just wanted to know what he thought about it! wasn't even a consideration!

No way was anyone going to hurt my little man! Dp didn't even bother putting his thoughts forward about coop!

Personally, I would hack off one of my own fingers before I ever had a son of mine circed, and Im not exaggerating either. I really would.

As would I, without hesitation.

It's a good feeling when you know you made a difference, hey. I figure that if just one bubhubber reads the anti threads here on bubhub and decides against the procedure, than our passionate rantings are worthwhile. :D

Yay! Great news. Good job Roopee! You're a shining example of how a little time and effort can make a big impact; you shared information gently, and helped a little one avoid the risks and long-term effects of a painful operation. Kudos!

Pretty amazing that just a little bit of knowledge, one can save a baby from a painful and unnecessary surgery! Good job! Way to be open and honest!
