Hi,

I am due to have my first baby any day now and my husband and I have decided to go to the hospital with a couple of names picked out for either sex. Although I have a feeling I am having a boy.

I would some opinions on the following names.... ( Ross and James are family names).

Leon Rosario
Alexander James ( or Alessandro instead of Alexander).
Ross James

Well bec i'm a little particial to Alexander LOL. This will be the name of my new little son, and James is the name of my fourth son...So to me Alexander James is perfect.

My fourth sons name is James Alexander LOL

Best of luck for you and your hubby, how exciting you will see your baby soon :)

I personally like Alexander James the best. Ross reminds me of Ross from friends!lol! Sorry!! nOt a bad name, just couldn't do it myself!!

I love Italian names, so Alessandro sounds so romantic and gorgeous! Do you have an Italian last name? We don't and think it might sound pretentious if we went with Marco, or Giacomo which are our fave two boys names! Also, our last name is very British, so it is an extreme case. My maiden name was Williams, and I think Marco Williams sounds fine. But yes, Rosario and Alessandro are beaut! All your choices are lovely though...:)

Yes Nut, we have an italian surname. My husband is Italian ( born here though).
My only concern choosing an italian first name is that my family won't be able to say it properly or when the child goes to school it might be difficult.

I really like Leon and Alessandro and I think they both would sound nice together

Leon Alessandro sounds both strong and interesting to me

Maybe it will be easier for you to decide once you see his/her face!

Alexander James is gorgeous.

I guess you also need to think about if you would be ok with people shortening his name to Alex - which I am certain people will do.

I also think Leon James is very cute.

FYI Shelby, girls names are:

Ava Elizabeth ( Elizabeth is my middle name)

Olivia Maree ( Olivia my best friend's name and probably godmother to be and Maree is mum's middle name)

Sophia ? ( haven't decided on middle name).
