How do you spread the word?

I am so excited about MCN's now, and I have been telling everyone!! Apart from bubs wearing a slogan t-shirt (which is such a great idea - I so want one!), how else do you spread the word? MCN's are such a minority, and it is such a shame that no-one I speak to knows about them :no: I have brought mine out at Mother's Group and showed them off. Thinking about asking the girls if they would like to have a Baby Beehinds party (wondering if that would offend anyone?)

So, how do you spread the word?

*I casually leave a spunky nappy hanging out of the nappy bag.
*I change her nappy when I am out, even if I don't really have to :laughing:
*I casually exclaim as I walk down the baby isle at the supermarket how I can't believe how much money we are saving using cloth
*I dress her in a little dress with spunky nappy if the weather is warm enough.
*Whenever anyone talks about nappies, I make sure I mention that we use cloth.
*If I hear someone is pregnant I tell them I should show them my stash one day (and let them know, casually of course, that they will spend almost the entire baby bonus on disposable nappies over the course of their baby's nappy using years).

If you are really keen you can get involved in advocacy activities with the Australian Nappy Network. For eg. the Vic girls quite often do information sessions and need helpers.

We introducing mcn's into our FDC so that every mum on my books can see how easy cloth is and also everyone at playgroup (we go to 5!) That's alot of people to get thinking about cloth:thumbsup:

With summer coming up, I'm prepairing the whole nappy and tshirt/singlet routine:D

I've made some cute covers and made a tshirt with a matching patch on the front.

So everyone will be able to see her cute bot-bot!!

BTW i have two cloth nappy slogan shirts and bibs from a lovely bubhubber from the first ever cloth nappy super swap:yelclap: :D I use them going out whenever I can.

Other than that...I just talk about them ALOT!!

Short little smocks/pinafores and dresses in summer with a cute nappy poking out the bottom!
Or a nappy/funky singlet combo :D

Oh and then there's all the (unneeded) nappy changes at playgroup :D

But I can't actually bring myself to verbally spread the word much, I just think that there's too much to explain to someone in passing, especially if they don't have an online community to ask questions of... In short, I'm wuss who doesn't want to be held responsible if they spent up on MCN and then changed their mind or didn't care for them or want to bother with them anymore etc :o :o

It takes so much time to explain it doesn't it? Is there some sort of brochure that any of the online MCN stores have that you can give out? Because that would be great! :thumbsup:
