Well, Oscar was +14 days so maybe we are looking at the end of October ;)
Anyone else due then or giving birth at Redlands Hospital in Brisbane?

Congrats to you too and yuck to morning sickness! I had a kind of underlying nausea for about three weeks which has now passed fortunately. Other than that, it is mostly tired, tired, tired! First ante-natal appointment tomorrow so that will be exciting. We missed out on a spot at the RBWH birth centre (where we were lucky enough to have Oscar) so we are booked into Redlands. We'll see how we go! :)

yeah well im still sick. Its getting me down a bit. Its so hard to be happy when your throwing up all day! And if im not throwing up im dry heaving. The dr seems to think it should pass soon, im just hoping im not one of them ones who get it for the whole 9 months. sorry to hear you missed out on a place where you wanted to give birth :( Hope all is well with you

I saw one of you said you missed out on a place at RBWH. How does this happen?
I rang the Mater yesterday and they said bookings had closed but when i said i was moving to Forest Lake they said there were a few spots left??? I've never heard of such a thing.
Does anyone know the hospital system?

Hey there,
Congrat's to you all on your upcoming pregnancies.
I am due about the 30th October and this is our first baby. My husband said it would be really cool if the bubs was born on Halloween - now I am not superstitous but I don't want to add fuel to fire - but if it does decide to make an appearance well I will try and think of the positives.
This whole morning sickness thing is really strange for me - I have never been known to be sick ever, so to be constantly nauseous is completely new to me. I too hope it passes quickly - so I can feel normal again.
We are located in Melbourne, and will be birthing at a new hospital that opened this year in the South East. It all looks fabulous and very welcoming. However, the whole birthing thing scares the living $#%@ out of me. But I will get over it I am sure.
I hope everyone is going well.
Talk soon.
Natalie :)
Hi there,
Congratulations to everyone. I'm expecting my first baby on 5th Oct - I think it's a girl, but will find out tomorrow at my ultrasound - exciting.
This is my first time on this website, it's great to see a forum with others experiencing similar things.
I'm enjoying being over the 'morning sickness' stage (mine was 4-8pm every evening like clockwork during 1st trimester). I'm now finding it a bit harder emotionally though, stress at work gets me down a bit more than it usually would. I don't have any family in Aus and none of my friends have had children so I'm flying solo a bit.
Qldgirl, I'm booked into Mater (Brisbane) too, had my first appt last week. It was very short and not really what I expected. Have you been in yet? What did you think?
Take care everyone,
Mea :)
