Hi wise cloth mums

Here's my problem, I hope someone can help me out.

DD has been wearing BBB nappies at night for about 3 months now with no rashes whatsoever.

About 3 days ago I noticed a rash where the elastic of the BBB sits. So I figured there must be a detergent build up so I put all the nappies, inserts, fleece liners, boosters and PUL covers in the washing machine and washed them 4 times.

I used no washing powder, washed once on 60 degrees and the rest 3 times on 40 degrees and then put them outside in the sun.

Anyway while they were drying DD was in double disposables with a PUL cover for night and the rash healed with curash cream. She's in disposables during the day as I'm waiting for my GK's to arrive.

So I put the clean nappies on her last night and I noticed the rash has come back, but now there are spots like a heat rash.

What could it be  and why is it happening?

I'm really bummed because I've been sooo happy with the BBB nappies.

Can anyone offer any advice please

Thanks

I noticed my bub had a bit of a rash wear the elastic was sitting from his BB overnight a week or so back for a couple of days in a row. I now don't do them up quite so tight and he hasn't had a rash since. I'm not sure it that's the same problem you're having, but maybe you could try having them a bit looser so that they breathe better:detective:

Good luck:)

You could also try putting on a decent amount of curash powder onto bum and legs. That way at least bub will stay a little drier where the wet material is touching her legs all night. I do DS like this.

I also agree with loosening them off a bit. Also you could try a wool cover if you have one bc it will help nappy to breath overnight.

Thanks ladies. I don't know if tightness is a factor but I'll check it tonight and I will try the curash powder on her legs. If that doesn't work I might order a wool cover and see if that helps.

Would a fleece cover be more breathable than PUL also?
