Hi, my DH & I have been in debate over the past 8 months about what we should call our new little arrival. We don't know what it is so it's been very hard trying to come up with 2 names. Finally, I think we've agreed on some names and we aren't telling friends or family until bub is here. So I thought I'd ask your opinion to get some feedback...... here we go:

Boy: Joshua David
Girl: Annalise Kate

What do you think?


Me - 28
DH - 34
Bub Due - 12 April

I love the names you have chosen (hard isn't it!! :D )

the only thing I would think about changing (personally...) is Annalisa Kate... but that is only because I think it flows better... otherwise it is a beautiful... feminine name :)

(I agree with the decision not to tell reles till bubs arrives... makes it more fun to still have a secret!!!!)

LOVE Annalise, it's a gorgeous name. I think it sounds fine with Kate.

And Joshua David is also a nice choice, you've done well!

We're having trouble choosing a girls name. Had one picked all through our relationship-like you do!- and now it's getting closer, I've changed my mind!

All the best though Belinda, must be fast approaching now!:)

Sorry but even though Joshua is a nice name it is way too common for me. I personally know 8 Joshua's under 14 and my nephew Josh has 2 other Joshua's in his class and he thinks about 10 in his grade at school. I like your girls name though.

Joshua is an absolutely fantastic name.

Unfortunately there are just a few too many of them around now. A lot of people like it because its so nice I suppose.

But if its what you like then go for it.

Thanx for being honest. I know what you mean.... I have been struggling with the name Joshua for a while because I hear it Everywhere too! BUT, I can't seem to convince DH of any other boy's name. any suggestions ?

I think the names you have chosen for both are great. Choosing names is the hardest thing to do. You have chosen well.

I like Lachlan or Jayden (this would have been my daughter's name if she had been a boy). My boyfriend likes Harmon, but I won't allow it - too much like my name (Carmen) and his father's name (Hernan). I also like Lucas.
