mum to be, new to geraldton

hello everyone,
Im 28 years old, 8 weeks pregnant and sooo over "all day sickness". I moved to Geraldton with my partner 6 months ago. Im finding it hard to meet people here, and dont want to wait until i join a mothers group. I have a wonderful fiancee who is over the moon and so supportive. I just need a few girlfriends to chat with and socialise.. If you can help let me know!!

I'm Natalie I live in Karratha. Congratulations on the pregnancy. BFP and BFN means BIG FAT POSITIVE AND BIG FAT NEGATIVE. Dont worry took me a while to figure it out :eek:

I've never been to Geraldton but you could maybe ask a childhood nurse. They may know of a group for mothers to be.
Maybe join craft groups or something like that (whatever your interested in)

I must admit i didn't work out what they meant, i found it in the help forum! now all i need to work out is how to get pics on here!!

Ive put a post up in the forums on Geraldton's website, so that may help. Thanks for the suggestions.

Im very luck to have such a supportive partner and sister in law. Shes in Wickham with 2 children so she has lots of advice for me!

Hi ya not there yet but planning too as some of DH's family is in Dongara. More likely going to move to Dongara. Thats only 40 mins away.
I am 35 years old have 3 children 11, 3, and 12 weeks.
I will be in Dongara in Oct holidays if you would like to meet up there is a couple of us arranging to meet one is from Gero.

I live in Perth now but i am from Geraldton! Did year7 and all of my highschooling there so i will be watching this page as you will probably meet my old school friends!!!

Hope you enjoy Geraldton, its a beautiful place! Once you have bubs you will be able to join the endless crayfish... it virtually crawls out of the beach and jumps in the car!!! :thumbsup:

Hi there Mandi,
I just registerred with BH. I live in Gero as well and I'm 31 weeks pregnant and feeling a bit the same :eek:. I also have a very supportive fiance and his friends, but I have no real friends of my own. Since I found out I was pregnant I haven't really had any one (who understands) to talk to about how I'm feeling.
Would be great to have another person to tlk to about things & get me out of the house.

Hey Melissa, I know how ur feeling! I have only been in Gero since October and dont know alot of people! I am 9 weeks pregnant with twins and as my boyfriend works away i need to do something to get me out of the house! is there a mothers group or something in town?
