Hi! I am at home full-time with my 14 mth old son (Oscar) and have another baby due in October :) I play the cello and would love to get together and play some music with other interested mums.
My background is in classical music but my main hope is to have some fun and play some music on a regular basis. I live in the Carina area but am open to venue options. So if you think you would like to get together and play in a relaxed atmosphere, please drop me a line!!
Hi I live in Runcorn and have an 18month old girl, Kasey. I play guitar, only really a beginner, but would love to play with other musical mums.
Hi there!
I haven't played my violin in quite a while..i think i need a new bow. But I used to love playing in the string quartet in high school and I still play the piano a bit.
Do you have any music? It's been a while but I don't think it would take long to get back into playing!
My daughter Elizabeth is almost 14mths herself. Loves kids.
Let me know where abouts you are in Carina and i'll check out my violin tomorrow and see what shape it's in. I think it would be nice to get a musical group together.
Lana.

Can play guitar and sing. I used to write my own originals and have recorded a couple of cds. I used to play around alot but not once I was doing too many subjects in my studies and now not since having my little one. Guess I could play again, if Connor didn't mind too much. It's just that when I pick up a guitar the boy seems to get abit upset about it. My dh and I play around with the midi and computerised music these days and you don't need to play an instrument to do that so it's cheating abit. Cello and violin used to sound great with my mellow rock originals. If you need a singer give me a yell because I would have become very rusty on my guitar playing.
Hiya, just moved to Margate... yesterday!
I play djembe (bongo's), didj and have done singing lessons etc... I sing mostly folksy type music... but yeah- would love to have a jam with people for sure- im abit rusty (as I havent played any of my instruments since becomming pregnant!)

I'm in a concert band in the city that is mostly made up of people who played at school, but then stopped not having anyone to play with.
We're a social bunch, rehersals are on Thursdays at Paddington. No fees or auditions as such - just a chat with our conductor.

I play clarinet & bass clarinet. I'd love to get together and make some music with other mums  I get very bored with my own company when I'm playing.

It's an old thread, but I thought I'd try bumping it up again. Are there any other musical mums in Brisbane bored with their own company while playing?
