We believe that people on both sides of the circumcision debate benefit from an inclusive discussion regarding all circumcision issues. It is our strong desire to keep both sides engaged in these discussions, because it is by sharing our diverse views that knowledge is gained. We at the hub value contributions from both sides of this discussion.

Our bubhub site rules state:

you will not post any messages that are ... hateful, threatening ...

Messages should be polite and friendly. Others are free to express their opinions and beliefs and any difference of opinion should not be taken personally.

Therefore, bubhub does not like to see harsh words (such as mutilation, inhumane, cruel, ********, horrific etc) being bandied around in the circumcision sub forums. There are some contexts in which it may be acceptable, however most of the time, the moderators will change such words to a more neutral term.

Please do not try to justify the use of these words by quoting dictionary definitions. It is the weighty, dark, accusatory overtones that are associated with these words that we find to be inconsistent with our core purpose, which is to provide information in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Use of these words may attract infractions and warnings as appropriate.
