This has happened twice in the past few weeks. Ive never seen it before on Matilda. Her lips get tinged blue. I know that can happen when your oxygen supply is low but does it happen when ur cold as well? She never got it in the middle of freezing winter. so why now!

We walked to playgroup. So I had ehr in jeans and a tee since its warm while we walk. PLaygroup is in a big hall and it can be cold in there. I noticed her hands were cold so traded the tee for a long sleeved tee and off she went to play. Her hands were still cold a few mins later so I put the tee on underneath and noticed that her lips were going the blue tinge. I had to give her booby milk to get them to go away. After that she was fine.

Do you think I should worry about it? My mum suggested a check up but what do you think could cause it? She's had a cold on and off for the past few weeks.

(I tried to post earlier but Bubhub wouldnt load for me.

I just got back from the Medical Centre and the Doc we saw checked her over. Said it is usually from poor circulation but her lungs and heart are fine as is her throat. He gave me a referral to see a Paed. Said he would prob be more helpful.

Ive been talking to my mum and trying to see if there were any common factors. Onl thing we can find is they were bothr eally windy days and she had been outside. SO maybe her body temp drops to fast and thats causing it.

Time will tell. Ill ring the Paed tomorow and see if we can get booked in. Im really worried its something related to her heart though we've never had anything like this before

A friend was telling me about this condition in her son yesterday! She said it is usually caused by poor circulation, but he has a heart condition, so she has to check his tongue and if it's blue too she knows it is his heart. I'd definitely consult your doctor though!

Thanks for the site. I had a read through and it confirms what I thought about circulation. I will book in the paed tomorow and if it happens again will remember to check her tongue and see if its blue as well.
