Grunting Baby??

I have concerns about my 7 month old. She always makes a grunting/straining sound. She sometimes gets constipated and sometimes does quite firm poos. She will, however still growl and carry on even if she has done a poo. This noise she makes does seem to increase when she is tired or displeased. But lately she has been doing it all the time! It gets really irritating and upsetting for me (I just want to
know she is ok). Has anyone else had this problem?

No, none of mine have been grunters but they made other weird noises at one time or another. It's probably nothing to worry about particularly if she is able to do poo and is gaining weight.If that is her photo, she looks like a gorgeous girl.

tyler has always been a grunter,,, she mostly does it with a temper:rolleyes: like when she wants food or just want anything,,, when she does it i laugh at her and she grunts more:p ...

This is very normal !
They love to grunt when pooing even if its a sloppy one ! I think they are all born actors LOL !
Remember that the noises they make are their only way of communicating with us as they can tell us whats wrong.
I just hope she doesnt graduate to screaming like mine has :eek: :confused: :rolleyes:

I think they discover a noise and then practice it for a while. Jade has discovered a squeal... which at first I though was cute.. but, it's really not so cute at 6am.. or after a day of the squeal symphony.

EJ started doing this a few weeks ago especially when she had to pass gas - I think she thought it helped and would do it for ages real loud - She seemes to have stopped doing it as much now - I was getting real worried also on how it sounded .... Her favorite time for doing it was around 6am :rolleyes: guaranteed to wake a person up LOL
