View Full Version : Babies heart beat
After having my ultrasound this afternoon, i found out that I am just over 6 weeks pregnant and my baby's heart beat 171 bpm. Is this high? I thought it was normally around 120-160........ If anyone has any info or experiences regarding this it would be much appreciated :o
Hmm I don't think so my first U/S I was 8 weeks and her HB was 168BPM

Absolutely normal Ali, I wouldnt worry about it one bit.
Nope, it's all good and normal! Nugget's was 182 at 10 weeks!! My doc nodded and said "Good HB" and I went "Oh, I thought it was too high." and he looked at me over his glasses and said "Stop googling things."
Thanks for the replies girls. Just me being paranoid again...... Always good to get reassured though, IYKWIM ;)

That's fantastic.... I think you may be having a girl :D
The faster he beat it is more likely to be a girl I have heard !

Oh predicting the sex of a baby from the heartbeat is definately a myth as I have found out, my baby's heartbeat was always on the high side, and he definately is a boy LOL
