After having my ultrasound this afternoon, i found out that I am just over 6 weeks pregnant and my baby's heart beat 171 bpm. Is this high? I thought it was normally around 120-160........ If anyone has any info or experiences regarding this it would be much appreciated :o

Nope, it's all good and normal! Nugget's was 182 at 10 weeks!! My doc nodded and said "Good HB" and I went "Oh, I thought it was too high." and he looked at me over his glasses and said "Stop googling things."

That's fantastic.... I think you may be having a girl :D

The faster he beat it is more likely to be a girl I have heard !

Oh predicting the sex of a baby from the heartbeat is definately a myth as I have found out, my baby's heartbeat was always on the high side, and he definately is a boy LOL
