Whatever's on Foxtel.

He doesn't feed for as long as he used to in the early weeks and isn't as compliant as he was (runs around like a thing possessed instead of just lying there gurgling afterwards) so it's not worth the time it takes to start up a DVD.

we walk around sometimes, or sit on the phone or the computer, or sway to music, or sit and look out at the world from the rocking chair, or bird watch in the back yard, watch a bit of ready steady cook or dr phil now and then. basically starfish gets the irrits if I try and feed her in the same old spots in the loungeroom, and quite frankly, I was glad to have cause to escape it more often myself  by the time she was a few weeks old I had to learn how to BF while walking, running, opening doors, chasing chickens, disciplining cats, stirring dinner, letting my husband in, hollering for the dog, all the usual country stuff. she mostly does not skip a beat no matter what I'm up to which I found quite funny.

Actually I must be one over-fond mumma, because quite often just gazing at her and saying sweet things to her while she eats, or humming, or singing, amuses the heck out of me. often I enjoy the chance to just sit or sway and otherwise do and think pretty much nothing...I've had a fairly busy almost-40-years to date, so maybe that helps me zen out with BF.

Lately I've started doing sudoku's (I'm getting better at writing legible numbers with my left hand) and with this great bf'ing brain, even the easy ones are a real challenge for me

Or sit reading bub hub...

Most of the time I am trying to entertain a 22 month old toddler while feeding my 9 week old. I miss the times I had with my first baby of breastfeeding in peace -make the most of it - tv sounds good (that's what I used to do - I had mastered how to read a book when he fed when he was about 3-4 months old so got some reading done then). Poor Will has his older brother trying to sit on him while he feeds half the time. Feed time has become story time for Patrick so I am usually reading a toddler book while feeding.
