Opk Question?

Question for those who've used OPK's before and found they worked...

Does the LH surge only show the day that you are Ovulating or does it start to show up faintly before you hit O? Like a day or so before?

I'm using them now and haven't got a positive yet. I'm on CD 16, so don't know what's happening.

Hi there, I used Confirm brand. I started to get a faint line, then got one that was almost as dark as the control line, then got three days of positives.

I think it's different for different people. Good luck!

I got a 2 lines on CD 17 and CD18, 18 was much darker. That was the first and only month of using them.

Im only seeing one line too!! so im just following my CM to see when im ovulating & thats confusing me aswell.. haha

Hey Chick....

I used them the month I got my BFP...was the first month i actually ever got a + on a opk !!!

I got 3 days of + CD17 and CD18 and CD 19...so I would have caught the the start middle and end of the surge...

I know that I O on CD18 cause of my cm and temping so I would say hang in there sweet pea your + test may still be to come..very common to O around day 18 instead od day 14 like most people think.

I also found doing the opk's 2 times a day more accurate than just doing one..this means there is no way you can miss the surge...I was doing one at 11 am and another at 5 pm every day from about CD10.

Hi there,

I know that every woman is different, but I always have a very faint line. About a week before I ovulate, the test line starts getting darker and gradually builds over that week. I usually get a + 2-3 days before I actually ovulate. Hope that helps! Good luck! :)

I am finding im O around D17/ D18 this month...i did the test opk a day before & very faint sec line...also did them leading up... only very faint line there aswell... but i had sex on D18 so fingers x may have worked!! :fingerscrossed:

Is a faint line still OK????
or does it need to be as dark to tell if your've ovulated as im using CM aswell
