Till you felt not much pain after your c/s, and when was it easier to get up out of bed?
I am feeling mostly ok, but a little tender today, and getting up out of bed or rolling in bed is the hardest thing.
What day would you say was the worst for you pain wise?
My back and arms and legs are quite tender too, but i think that was because i was shaking the whole way through the c/s so my muscles all had a huge work out. The wound itself feels ok, just tender.
Also do you bleed for a shorted amount of time after a c/s?
The bleeding was only really heavy for me, once i first got up, blood went everywhere then :barf: But now its really only much like a normal period.

It took about three weeks for me to have little or no pain getting out of bed. I found of all the daily activities that getting out of bed was the most painful.
What day would you say was the worst for you pain wise?
The 2nd and third day I was pretty sore, but I found the pain actually worsened when I went home as I now had a household to run and toddler and newborn to deal with. You don't say how may days pp you are? Trust me, leave the housework... you need to rest and get well. Don't do what I did both times and tried to be a 'supermum' and have my house all clean, but get a sore tummy :hair:

You should bleed less as the placenta and membranes are manually removed. With DS (2 months old) I only bled for a couple of weeks very light. With DD (both were c/s) I bled for 10 weeks and was heavy and passed some retained membranes. So I guess it depends on how well the ob gets everything out.

Hi calm
Congrats on the birth of your baby!!
I had a c/s in november last year.
For me I was off all pain relief (even panadol) after 6 days. In hospital I did find it very hard to get in and out of that stupid hospital bed but at home it's much easier. I also only bled for a few days and it was very very light because the ob I had did a curette (or whatever it's called?) where the uterus lining is cleared out after the baby and placenta is taken out.
Having said that my good friend took a month before she wasn't in pain anymore, everyone is so different.
Take your time doing things like getting out of bed, don't lift anything heavier than your baby and take care of yourself :hugs:

yep thats right Widget
i am not in too much pain , its just the getting up and out of bed, but hopefully that will ease soon.
Yep i will def keep getting checked at the GP, we are going there shortly as well.
I really do think all the back stiffness and soreness is from all the shivering.
I was just curious to how it was for others
Thanks ladies.

How come they let you home from the hospital already? Wow I couldn't have done without the morphine the first few days. They made me stay for 5 nights.

I was discharged on day 3. (I had him on Tues, left Thurs). I think it depends on the hospital, the mother, whether this is her first or subsequent children and other factors.
