:yelclap: HAVE FUN!!! :yelclap:

Thanks Kel for the sms's and for posting for me

Sorry for worrying everyone. He came home around 5. He got drunk last night after I was asleep and was so friggin hung over he just walked out of work, caught a bus to my local shopping centre and spent the day half passed out on a god damn bench I am so angry and hurt right now it's just not funny.

huge :hugs: gorgeous mumma, that is no problem at all, xxoo.

i hope he realises what he has done now and picks his act up, for you and for the boys :hugs:

oh yeah, Angel has offically started sleeping in her big girl room tonight!! hopefully she sleeps alright. it's not like she hsan't slept in there before and she always sleeps well at night so i think she'll be fine!! i can't believe how quick they grow up - she's not really my ill bubba anymore.

Just a quickie as I'm sooooooooo stuffed - who knew Three year old party's could be so tiring!!

But Nel - that is AWFUL - a) that he made you so worrid, b) that he let things get to that. I hope things work out for you and that he wakes up to himself, but you have to put you and the boys first. What did his work say??

Hopefully I'll post some photos from the party tomorrow. am too totally zonked now...

Thanks girls :hugs: sorry to do such selfish post I'm just not taking much in at the moment. I am mentally exhausted.

Rach I have no idea what his work said, he hid in the bedroom with the phone and I had the grill on so couldn't leave Kai alone to go listen. Then he passed out. I'll be sleeping in the loungeroom tonight I think..

Maria - glad your feeling better now hun.

Nikki have fun redecorating!

Jayney - :hugs: good to hear from you hun!!

oh and of course YAY for Angel being such a big girl!!!

Nikki - his own single bed? Where did you get the bed from?

Mel - I was having a cup of tea and toast are 4 this morning and didn't really get back to sleep.

Maria - hope to catch up soon.

Kel. I am okay - I guess a little down at the moment as the boys are just so full on and hubby has been giving me the ****s. I just need him to think about me and give me some time off. He is working all day tomorrow and then has a big dinner down the coast so yep I will be stuffed again tomorrow but I just have to keep soldering on. I would just love to have a shower and go to the toilet in peace but I am just expected to provide all the time to everyone elses emotions all the time

Shea! Go and buy a two pack test NOW!!! One for immediately, the next for tomorrow morn just incase.

Just wrote my dad an angry email...

Tonight I am nothing short of disgusted at the way you spoke to Narelle today. Your own daughter. How dare you judge her against your own narrow-minded ideals of how people should live their lives!

I was sickened to the pit of my stomach to hear some of the things that you said to her in regards to the life choices she has made. It is her responsibility to herself to live the life that she was born to lead, not to mould herself to what others expect. She is being true to herself by making the choices that she does. Not being married with kids at the young age of 25 does not make her any less responsible than someone who is. If anything, if makes her more responsible. I have seen many, many young girls fall pregnant unexpectedly and choose to marry the father of the child, out of feeling that it's what they 'have' to do. Your daughter is a strong minded, responsible, sensitive young woman who has been deeply hurt, cut to the bone even, by your comments today. I have never seen her like this before. I honestly don't know if she will ever have anything to do with you again. I don't even know myself if she SHOULD.

To tell your own daughter that she is irresponsible, that you feel that she would default on a loan, and then to use scripture to reinforce your opinion is being nothing short of a bigot. To then go on to lecture her on how she has made bad choices in her life, and to tell her that she must 'live with the choices she has made' is downright despicable.

I decided to put this in writing to you, instead of calling you as I am terribly disappointed in you right now. I cannot bear to speak to you at this moment, but I needed to let you know what you have done to her. You cannot just say those kind of things and expect it to be taken on the chin. Fine, it is your prerogative to say 'no' to going guarantor for her on a loan, she has no problem with that, and neither do I. But to then continue to pick apart her life, telling her that she is irresponsible because she has gone though a few jobs and isn't married with kids, and has, in your opinion, made some 'bad' choices is just a load of self-righteous garbage!

Why is it that you have no problem at all in saying no to our (your own flesh and blood!) requests and speaking your mind, no matter how frank that is; BUT when I have said no to you over certain things in the past, you have gotten stroppy and made snide remarks about it afterwards. When I speak my mind to you, it hurts you, but we are meant to take it on board??? How does that work? I personally am not the sensitive type, if I don't like what you've said, I tell you, BUT Narelle IS the sensitive type, and YOU KNOW THAT. If you know anything about her AT ALL, it is that she takes to heart what people say to her; what they think of her.

I am aware that there is always two sides to every story, but given my experience with you giving me your opinion re Robbie and I (thinking of at Bianca's party in particular) I fully believe that you would have said those exact things to Narelle. WHY you chose to get on your high horse and speak to her like that, I cannot comprehend - when a simple 'we've decided not to go guarantor' would have been sufficient. I am sorry for you that you have done this, because as I said, I doubt she will ever have anything to do with you again. In a half-hour conversation (or more lecture, from her point of view) you have severed any ties that were left between the two of you. In regards to my anger towards you, just imagine how you would feel if Pa had said those kind of things to Lois. Maybe you are more like Pa than you realise.

Do you think I went OTT? It's too late now, since I've sent it  I wanted to get Karen to read over it first, but she must be  cos I didn't get a response, and I wanted to send it tonight, hoping he gets is tonight :devil6:

pegasus
07-09-2007, 23:41
Okay - first on the island thing - yep count me in - need some escape time!!!

Nay - not OTT in my terms - there's been many emails/tests I've sent late at night (sometimes after a few drinks hehe). Some people need to learn to leave their judgements at home (particularly if they're about someone from home). To me it sounded well worded and very thoughtfully written, (especially coming from where you are). Hope Narelle gets the support she deserves

Nel - Hm - I'll let the comment about the "just us" meet slide considering where you've been today (head wise LOL). BIG BIG :hugs: for what mark put you through. It really sounds like our men need to get together and go for a big long fishing trip. (My hubby's done his best on a few benders... - won't say any more here, but we've been discussing a lot of things lately). Ps for anyone wondering - no cheating, just what I would class as unacceptable behaviour for a dad of 4!

Will be back soon, as I haven't read the rest of the posts, just mad I can't post as the thread was closed...:p

Mell

Good morning

Nay, not OTT at all, it is very well worded. You will have to let us know when/if he replies to you.

Pegs, :hugs: hope you get everything sorted out at home and things get back to normal.

Shae, let us know how you go with the tests. How late is AF?

Nel, hope things are looking better this morning and you and Mark can sit down and sort things out. I am sure he will do the right thing by you and the boys :hugs:

Seek, have fun doing the big clean up, i love de-cluttering, feels so good when it is all done.

Not much to report this end. Boys are doing well, that is about it. Not sure what we are going to do today, we will just have to wait and see :D

morning gorgeous mummas. Angel slep ALL NIGHT in her big girl bed :yelclap: she is offically a big girl - i'm not sure yet if i want her to get big EVER or not

Ady has gone for a 'working' interview today for this new job. i'm so hoping that he gets it cause it will make life so much easier and we might even be able to get married in 2yrs instead of 20yrs!!! and believe me, if he stays where he is there is no way we will be getting married and a couple of yrs!!

[COLOR=#4169e1]Rach I have no idea what his work said, he hid in the bedroom with the phone and I had the grill on so couldn't leave Kai alone to go listen. Then he passed out. I'll be sleeping in the loungeroom tonight I think..

still no af for me. had cramping and thought that might be it but no, might buy a test tomorrow at the shops..... ttfn

well well well - what did the test say??

Just wrote my dad an angry email...

well, you certainly can get angry can't you missy?? i don't think it was OTT at all, sometimes things need to be said to get the msg across that what they have done is NOT right. did Narelle get back in contact with your dad around the time you did?? he has no right to do that, epecially when he should be grateful and feel priviledged that you're both in his life to start with, xxoo.

i want to say how amazing i think most of you mums are. so many of you have alot to deal with as well as taking care of the bubbas and you do it so well and you all have a smile for allof us when you get on here. all the single mummas, mummas with partner troubles, mummas with no sleep, pregnant mummas, mummas with sk's - i think you're all wonderful and i just wanted you all to know, xxoo.

:hugs: thankyou, that's very nice of you to say so. i'm very lucky though, that i don't face many problems like some of you guys do, xxoo.

we're always here for you and like Myz said, it's great for you to be popping back in cause we miss you when you don't.

Fingers crossed that Ady gets the job!!!

Your so sweet. I haven't been able to talk to him yet, he's gone to work.. Amazingly he still has a job. He hasn't got much to say really, he knows what he did was wrong I just want to know what he plans to do about the drinking.

K I just put my gig of ram in my puter and woohooo it's all fast and stuff now yay! I'm too impatient for slow computers so when I bought this one I figured being brand new it'd be faster than my old one but nope it was slow as.. Now I dont have to wait lol it does what I want instantly.

thanks, i've got everything crossed too. he left so early this morning that when he woke me up to say goodbye and give me a kiss - i was half asleep and forgot to say goodluck. i've been thinking of him all morning though.

wow, he's so lucky to still have his job. i hope you can work things out and he does need to see someone about his drinking, especially if it starts to impact on his working life too cause he is the one who supports you and the boys.

my computer is really slow too. how do i go about buying what you did?? how much did it cost?? is it easy to do??

Hi everyone
Sorry to hear about the schenanigans (sp?) with Mark Nel. I hope he admits to himself what he's doing, that's the hardest part. I grew up with an alcoholic Dad, so I know how hard it can be. They are sick really and if he can realise what's happening then that's a good sign. Maybe he is more of a dependent, I hope so as it's easier then... not so serious.
I will overlook the comment Pegasus commented on as well lol :D
Well done to Kai with his toddler race, our primary school didn't do that  I think Eliana woulda done well too!
Mell, fingers crossed for the :bfp:
Duckie, I hope bubba is cooking well.
Mich - did you have a good meal out?
Well, lucky me managed to get DH home and we didn't have a sitter (gotta ask my best mate to do next Friday so didn't want to ask 2 weeks in a row!) so we bribed the kids with some of our chocolate covered strawberries and went in our room with the rest of them and a bottle of yellowglen. Can't wait till DD is old enough to babysit, hopefully we won't be too old by then!
Seek, the playroom idea sounds great. We don't have the room, but I've been thinking of sectioning some of the pergola area with lattice to make a safe area for bubba. I've got lattice nearly all the way round and just have to fill in 4 gaps with little gates or something. Bubba loves the backyard and I'm worried about her being out in the sun, when summer comes. I don't think it'll happen until the conference is over and kitchen is done... funny, I have a list as long as my arm for DH jobs!
Maria, what happened? I hope you are OK, I must have missed your post. BTW Life with 3 can be so stressful. I found that book name for you - women and stress by Jean Lush. If you like I could send it to you... I had a bit of a meltdown stress wise and I feel so much better now. It really has helped to understand why I got so stressed and some of it was caused by people putting the guilts on and pressurising me, a bit of a journey for me as I have never been very assertive before and now I know I need to say "no". Hope that makes sense x
Kel, good luck for Ady's job :fingerscrossed:
Man, I have waffled today! Just one concluding remark... Lil B... her new pic is soooooo cute!

I am in a huge rush but just wanted to say Nel I'm sooo glad Mark made it home safe & well. He probably feels like a real fool for what he has done, I hope that you can work things out and he can overcome his drinking problems :hugs:

Nay- Not OTT in my opinion at all. Some things really do need to be said. I sent a similar email to my sister a little while ago, I pooped myself once I hit the send button but it's all good now.

Have a huge day- I still have to finish making a potato bake for tonight, do washing for clothes for tonight since all is dirty, go grocery shopping, find b'day present for Paul's brother, have to be at Mason's special music thing by 4 (picking my mum up on the way) and then have to be in Nanango by 5:30 for Paul's brothers 21st party

I am stressed just writing it and it's already 11:30!!!!!

Aww you'll be right Haylie! Hope you have a great time tonight..

I feel so bad lol.. I've mentioned how Kai has gone funny at bed time since MIL looked after him. Well earlier that day I took his doona out of his cot to wash. He's used the same doona since he was born.
This is what I just found in my laundry

awww (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Mystik/TheBoys001-2.jpg)
my blankie! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Mystik/TheBoys003-2.jpg)
Snuggles (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Mystik/TheBoys002-2.jpg)

and now he's dragged it into the loungeroom

sleepy (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Mystik/TheBoys004-2.jpg)

so I'm wondering if thats part of the reason he's been funny. Will wash it today and see how he goes tonight.

I think he has been missing it. He's dragging it around the house with him and keeps stopping to lie down on it. So once this load of washing is finished I'll wash it for him and see if he sleps better tonight.. I didn't even click that it could be his blankie.

Shae do you have any news yet?

Nel, love the photos. That blanket might be Kai's security blanket.

Kel, hope everything goes well for Ady and this job. What is it doing and is it still close to home?

Sean had a customer ring at 7.30am this morning and was desperate for a container so he told him to have a truck at the depot at 10am, so we have been down the coast and back already today. Thank god the kids like being in the car, that was the 3rd trip down there this week that me and the kids have done.

it's doing labouring work - mainly things to do with rigging?? i'm not entirely sure what it is but i know it's physical work and ady will love that, i hope he does anyway. it's no use starting a new job that you don't like!! it's mainly round the city i think. he can get a lift with a mate who lives at redcliffe.

Maria - :hugs: i'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. has Cris been letting you rest??

Hi all

Think I'm finally catching up with myself. I have been so busy during the week lately then tired at night with lots of night wakings. Looks like K's finally getting back to sleeping through again *insert touch wood emoticon*:fingerscrossed:. Think part of my problem is that AF keeps coming back (think I had a 2week break this time, but back again Grrr - at least it's started spreading out - may be back to normal soon. So I've gone back to the iron

On the home front - things have been pretty good, nothing more stressful than usual. DH has been a bit frustrated with the step kids again. DSD started working at Maccas a couple of weeks ago and is doing 20hours a week - we now don't see her as she's working so much. It's entirely too many hours for a child of that age to maintain and to get through school considering she struggles at school normally. Then DSS didn't come last weekend when he was supposed to come (here's my frustration - I was asked the previous week by biomum if we could have both kids as she and her boyfriend had a date - I said yes, we were organised to have them, so I messaged her on Thursday - "What's happening?" - she sent back - it's cool - they've got somewhere. Who are we - Second choice babysitters? Makes me so mad - it was father's day weekend and their mother didn't pull through. We don't push them as if the kids are staying at friends then it's not fair to them to bring them over here where they haven't got friends around. Anyway - DSS ended up with a burn that he told DH about when he spoke to him on Father's day, from a motorbike exhaust - he said it was so bad it probably needed a skin graft. I messaged DSD on Tuesday - "how's DSS's leg?" - reply was it's good.

How the heck is the dad supposed to parent when access is so hard, the kids are living lifestyles that are not what we'd choose for them (we're worried the mother is going to take the money that DSD is earning) and he doesn't get kept informed about things like this burn. We're treated like babysitters.

Okay - vent over - phew! Always good to get it out!

Myz - Lovely pics - don't think either of mine have got attached to a particular blanket.

Maria - hope you're feeling better - how scary for you

Kel - you are one of the most supportive mums here - we all love you:kiss:

Tash - you are a strong woman doing the right thing by Leyla and yourself - :hugs: for you during this tough time

Mell - thanks for the thoughts - hope you get a break from the driving soon

Jayney - aren't you a poppet (giggle). Don't hear from you in a while then you're all over the place hogging the posts LOL Definitely throw my hat down to you with the two boys.

MD - yes - been ages (putting on best toffy voice), must throw a virtual tea party - maybe we could do so on our island....

I know I've missed a few - so will be back later.

You girls are all gorgeous.

huge :hugs: have you been to a doc about it?? you really need to take care of yourself, i do worry and think about you too, xxoo.

you're so great the way you handle things with the sk's, have you seriously thought about getting the sk's?? from what you tell us biomum does/says/doesn't do i think you would have such a great chance of custody of the sk's. it's a big decision, i'm not sure i could do it with all the hassles but those kids really need a stable home life and their real mother is hopeless, you and dh are the best people in those kids lives :hugs: i hope all those problems get a bit more stress-free for you.

Ady got home at 4pm, he said it went well. he's been offered the job as a trial for 2wks to start with, then it would go to fulltime - still on the same pay, but with holidays, they shut down for 2wks at Christmas, sick pay - so :fingerscrossed: the boss likes him after the 2wks otherwise he'll be looking for another job!!!

:bfn: bugger - i have been so sleepy like i was with connor, and i had the same cramps as i did with connor. oh well, i wish af would turn up then. currently on day 31 and no sign.

finished most of the painting, dh is just doing the kitchen and another wall. still go 2 weeks until our main couch comes though.

kel - hope ady goes well with his job.

I think he has been missing it. He's dragging it around the house with him and keeps stopping to lie down on it.

They are the cutest photos! i like your 'goth' look, not too goth, but dark enough to know its goth! lol

anyways, early night for me. im going to try the test again in the morning, doubt it will come up with anything though. ttfn

Nel, have to say that the goth look suits you! I love black hair! thats one of the only colours that my hair hasnt been. Maybe when Im 40?

Kel, yes, Cris has been good (as good as he can be!)

anyone going to be in chat tonight?

Nikki, how did the room go? hope you managed to get alot done.

If the weather is nice tomorrow, we are thinking of taking the girls to southbank, for the day, and take them also on a ride on one of the citycats.

When is our next meet? shall we make one for this wednesday? my kids are all well :D. But could we also have one on the school hols? Brianna is extremely jealous that she misses out all the time, and she wants to see all the bubbas again. (aww)

Myzzie - love the blanky - I had a blanky when I was little and now Tommy has his grubby (stuffed catapiller) which he finds comfort in to get to sleep.

Love ya Pegs.

Kel - My Mum is having her knee operated on Tuesday and she (and Dad) will be staying with us for a couple of days so perhaps the next week might be a goer. Mum and Dad do not live in Brissy (they are bushies coming from the South Burnett) How about meeting at Redcliffe somewhere on the beach. Is that convenient for you?

They are showing Grease again on tellie. Can you believe that.

Where is Jess - hope you are okay Mrs Duck. Haven't heard from u much since u stayed with us hope we didn't scare u off with our wild household.

Mich hope your bday was full of surprises.

Shea - sorry to hear about the negative result, they really do suck!

If you are anything like I was when I got a neg - I would turn it this way and that, look really close up then further away - come back just to check it hadn't changed!

Not so good at just accepting a result that I don't want!

Just popping in quickly to say that I have been reading along fondly with you all - love the mushy stuff that has been coming out!

I just don't have time at the moment to reply like I want to

But I do love you all heaps and love to read your posts and look at your pics

Nellie - I had a bit of a goth phase too but don't think I have any pictures!!

Night all

Oh and PS - Jayney - will phone you soon, or you call me if you find yourself with the chance before I do

Oh and PSS - Maria - got your pm this morning, likewise will catch you soon, please know I have been thinking of you heaps while you have been feeling ****!

I'm going for a little trip down to see our Southern chikkas (not as far South as you Karen!) in mid Oct

LOL, no one ever comes to Melb! We have not so nice beaches, but awesome shopping... am off for some retail therapy today!

I think that we are coming to QLD in Nov/Dec and Perth after the bubba is born. Which areas of QLD is everyone in? Trying to figure out where to stay to see you all? Where do you live in Perth ladies? I usually stay in Clarement, Beckenham and a suburb starting with W that I can't for the life of me remember the name! It's a fair way out, Joondalup way, not too far from Whitford? We'll have a hire car for the trips though, so I'll track you all down lol.

Well, I'll join the bad mummy moments... Yesterday Nixie woke at 5am and wouldn't sleep with me, so I gave her milk but she still wouldn't sleep. I was so tired that I sent her out to the lounge to play while I stayed lying in bed :shame: ! I had to get up when I heard her playing with the recycling in the kitchen. The little monkey can climb over the washing baskets that I've been using as a barrier, so I'm buying a safety gate today.

Nixie is good, two top molars are cut. She still doesn't say much that makes sense. I've been trying for 3 days to teach her to call Xena 'cat' but she stil calls her and every other cat 'bubba'. She's been watching video hits this weekend and has started spinning one way, then the other, then bouncing up and down, as her dancing. Looks like an oompa loompa... And she thinks it's hilarious to do the wiggles fingers. She's doing well with her spoon now and eats all her weetbix on her own, only spills a bit now. Doesn't do too good with dryer food though, her rice went everywhere the other night!

Bump is well, just gone 16 weeks. I can feel movements, but they're not very strong, gav can only feel the big ones. My appetite is back so I'm going to try and watch what I eat now so I get all my vitamins and don't end up too huge!

Bugger, Nixie is wanting out of her highchair. BBL tonight for personals. Hi  everyone! Can't believe we're onto another thread already... :ecomcity:

That's right up near where I am! Must catch up when you come over!
Nixie sounds so cute with her bopping.
Maria, thanks for the pm and hope you are feeling better soon.
Duckie, yeah, you have to come way out west sometime!
Nel, I had a goth phase too but pics are all printed and would need scanning as I'm an old g!t lol.
Bubba is being a handful. Her latest thing is climbing on dining chairs to the table and she has fallen a few times. She did this round my mates house last night and was inconsolale.
She has some new tricks up her sleeve... Hi 5, saying "uh oh!" and "Nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh!" she also loves blowing raspberries like Elmo in Gouchland... shoot as I type she's just be scooped off the dining table by DH.... she is so quick! When will she learn  :hair:

hi, i was wondering where you had got to :hugs: i was thinking this morning of all the mummas that have been MIA lately!!

me and Ady and bubs will be in a couple of yrs!!! we're going to the Aust Open for our honeymoon and will be in Melb for about 3wks!!

well, most of us are around Brisbane - but all in different areas. if you pick someone central to brissy we should all be able to come :yelclap: would love to meet you!!

haha, that's not a bad mummy moment - wish i could do that. Angel would just come in and start whinging at me to get up!!

i have a dream baby - i think it's baby first or something for the safety gate. it's one that clicks in to place and you have to push the button back and lift at the same time. wasn't cheap - we had to get an extension and it was about $220.

how cute about her dancing!! Angel just bops up and down and claps aswell - she thinks she's great, hehe!!

wow, she does really well with her eating - Angel still doesn't have the hang of the whole spoon thing yet and i'm paranoid about mess :o

glad to hear things are going well with the bump, make sure you keep resting as much as possible, xxoo. how exciting that you can feel bump moving, i loved that feeling. i remember sitting there one night poking my belly and then Angel would kick me back - we did it about 5 times to each other HAHAHA!!! Ady didn't like it cause he thought i was hurting her HEHEHE!!!

Hello lovelies!

Darling heart Karenella - I actually do go home to Melb fairly often!! I LOVE Melbourne, its just my folks have been away alot this year but a trip there won't be too far away for us!

When you come up here I will of course do my best to drive down to see you but we are a fair drive away from Bris - you and yours are SO welcome to come and have a farm stay - then I could show Gav that timber we were talking about!

Pegs and Bess (and Nellie as well) - a trip over West is very much on the cards for me - one of my dearest ever friends lives in Hervey Creek and I long to see her!

Blah blah

Climbing - OMG - Jakey is unbelievable

He is so 'bad' (or good depending on how you look at it!) that he makes it all the way up the slide and down by himself!!!

He perches himself on the edge of the back of the seat on the bucket swing with all but an inch of seat under his shoes and tries to thrust himself to make it swing (hmmm - make sense?!)

Bugger - I had heaps more planned to say but DH has just come back and we have some work to do

Till later lovelies!

Kel, glad to hear Ady liked his day at the job yesterday. Has he handed in his notice at his other job yet? Is he only casual where he is now? At least now that he gets paid holidays, he will be able to have a couple of weeks off when you have the next bubs and you won't have to worry about money.

Seek, how did the big clean out go, you will have to take some photos so we can check it out.

We went up to the Caboolture markets this morning then we came home and i had a sleep for a couple of hours, i needed it so bad, i was so tired, so i am feeling good now.

Hello I'm back.. after the power outage killed my puter on Weds. Doesn't matter thou, cause my darling husband, came home yesterday with a new laptop for me:smiliedance: and its wireless so I can log on anywhere:thumbsup: . It was a total surprise..I was speachless. I told him I didn't want to know how much it cost....with the new house a few weeks away a new puter wasn't high on my list of priorites.. but now I have it, I LOVE IT!

Sorry Brissy ladies, if you have a meetup this Weds I won't be able to make it :gloomy: . I am away from this Weds 12th till Sunday. If for some reason you decide to put it back to the following week, I am available Weds to Friday for a meetup.

I am sorry I have only read the last 10 posts or so, so I have heaps to catch up on!

We took Faith to New Farm Park today for a play on the swings and in the park, she loved it, she climed up all the stairs to the top of the slippery slide, and crawled in and out of the tunnels.. it was a fantastic day. We then went to Maccas for lunch :shame: . She just ate the meat and cheese out of the cheese burger. She then played in the play area there for 45 mins.. kicked and screamed when we wanted to leave... tantrum queen atm .

Karen its great to hear that everything is going well with your pregnancy and Nixie sounds like she is developing in leaps and bounds!! It would be so cute to see her dance.

Anyways, as I said I haven't read much at all, so I will go and bath and feed my bubba, then hopefully will have some time to catch up on everything I have missed. Will be back later!

Love to all... so great to be back online!!!!!!

Hi!

Maria, your girls are so beautiful, they are really lovely photos of them all, especially the individual ones of the older girls. Glad that you had a good day, how are you feeling?

Kel- I have everything crossed for Ady for his new job- it sounds very exciting! I really hope it works out for him, life is no fun when you are stressing about money constantly

Jac- what a sweetie your hubby is!

Karen- good to hear that everything is going well with your pregancy, hasn't time flown by! Nixie sounds very clever eating her weetbix by herself! I am yet to let Mason loose with a bowl of food and a spoon

Had a good night last night at the 21st birthday party. I had to lay on the spare bed with Mason to get him to sleep at about 8pm, then put him in the porta cot once he was snoring (I honestly could have fallen asleep next to him and quite happily stayed there while the party went on around us). We left at about 11pm and he was awake in the car on the way home (about a 25 min drive) and then went straight to bed when we got home. I woke at 9am this morning to a silent house, Paul had gone back to the farm to give his Dad a hand with a few things and I couldn't hear Mason at all- he had slept all the way through! I had a shower in peace (heaven!) and then went to check on him because I was starting to get worried and he must have heard me coming up the hallway because when I opened his door he was just standing in his cot not making a noise and looking all cute and sleepy.

Feeling a bit refreshed after a sleep in so today I got all the housework and washing done. Our bed is absolutely snowed under with clothes that need folding and the spare bed is covered in clothes that need ironing. It is never ending! AND we only have one child so I dread to think what it will be like with 2 or 3!!

There was more I was going to reply to but am just thinking off the top of my head because I didn't multiquote anything. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone or anything important!

thanks gorgeous mumma :hugs: it isn't nice and we are always worried about money so i'm hoping this works out for us too :fingerscrossed: the only downside is that the hrs are a bit longer. ady gets up at 4.45 and will only have to get up 4, so that's not going to worry him but he won't get home til 6-6.30 and he will miss out on time with Angel. i am also used to him being home in the arvo and he does things with Angel and gives me time out. you can't have everything though, it will all work out.

glad to hear you had a good night and also a good sleep in

Maria - meant to say the photos are gorgeous. i only got to see the first 4 cause my idiot puter knocked me off bubhub  i saw that you aren't going to keep them on - has something happened and we're not allowed to have photos on anymore??

I just said something a little grouchy in the Jan 08 mums chat - I haven't been in there for weeks, only just have time to come in and see you gals - anyway I popped in there to say hello and since my post not ONE of them has even said hello

So I growled at them!

Now I feel ordinary

So I am going to sulk for a while!

(by the way - great pics Maria, really good one of Chris and Lina and Seek OH MY LORDY -busy day)

Yes it was, but he is sitting here now and reading all the nice comments you guys are saying about him and is getting a big head :hair: He says keep them coming! Yes she should sleep well tonight, she went down at 6.

Howdy howdy! Had a 'fun' day cleaning the garage I'm a mess, Cobey's a mess (and exhausted from spending all day outside! He's having dinner at the moment and will be asleep by 6!

I have some before (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikki_m/1348913337/)and after (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikki_m/1348918005/)photos and also of Cobey 'helping (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikki_m/1349808052/)' (and I love this photo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikki_m/1348920121/))

I can't do Wednesday, getting my hair chopped off! The week after I CAN do though so do the most exciting one then for me, eh?

After that I'm jet-setting to NZ and Sydney so.. yeah!! I hope I'll meet a few of you Sydney-Siders (or Newcastlians) down there!

(ps - this entry took 30 min to type as Sir wanted/needed a bath)

Hi everyone!

Retail therapy was awesome lol. Now that we have two incomes again, I've hardly bought a thing but gav is tighter than before when we were broke! Stuff him, they were all bargains. Except this baby bardot dress I got nixie at $50  . More than I'd normally spend but if my sis gets her way she's getting married at the start of the year so she can wear it to the wedding! Plus I got two pairs of gorgeous three quarter pants for $10 each so that makes up for it. I keep buying size 2's though because the 1's only just fit her now and sometimes seem too small - I think my baby is a big buddha. Must go rub her belly for luck!

Nay - have you heard from your dad? Is your sis feeling better?

Evening ladies

I'm STUFFED... but hey, what's new! Another bad sleep night in our house (so I'm still fat) and am still recovering from Ham's party I think. Plus we had a family picnic with Playgroup today. We went to a miniature railway near here and it was LOVELY. But both boys fell asleep in the car on the way home (Lach halfway through eating an ice-cream) and then we transferred them to beds and they slept till four. So, now Ham won't go to sleep.:banghead:

Jess - I can't believe the snobbery of those Jan 08 folkies. Bugger em I say! We love ya. But I know what ya mean about not knowing anyone on here anymore. I occassionally pop into the breastfeeding forums and I check in here pretty much daily, but I don't have time for anything else.

Mich - good luck on your own for a few days. I love your glass-is-half-full attitude. You'll be fine as you are a star!

Jac - glad you're back. Jealous of the new puter, I'm a bit in love with stuff like that... and stationary!

Maria - looks like you and your tribe had a gorgeous tribe. Loved the photos.

Kel - been meaning to say good luck for Ady at the new job. Sure he'll be fine!

Anyway Ham is cryng and won't go to sleep, so I better choof!

Speak soon

Oops, somehow posted before I'd finished lol.

Jess - hi from me! ikwym though. I was so excited that I could join a preggars thread seeing as I found you guys late, but I've only been on there once or twice. Any precious time I get her belongs to you lot! Gosh, I rememeber when I first joined and I was so addicted to the new post button lol. Now my post list is all this thread!

Mich - don't worry, i'll get to nsw too! I'm gunna make full use of gav's staff discount lol. but I probably won't get there until next year, but then I'll have a little one to make you all clucky!

Tash - you and I are on our own in our states, so I'm going to come and see you too! good luck with the apartment. Is everything ok? you don't sound your happy self? how's leyla?

Shea, Jac, Kel & Haylie (& Rach? :devil6: ) - good luck with the ttc and have fun trying! If it helps, I got 3 BFP's for this preg before it finally showed I was preggars. I can't remember the test (can you nay?) but apparantly the one I was using because it could pick it up early, isn't very reliable and there's a thread about it giving false results.

Bugger, I had more personals??? Oh I remeber, Nel, hope all is ok with you. That would've been very scary for you and so hard for you now to deal with. My sil goes to aa & na and i admire her so much. You'd never even know, she is a teacher and a mum of two, but she says she'll never stop going because she never wants to be there again. Even if it's not true alcoholism, binge drinking can be a sign of some deep issues anyway - any chance he'll go to counselling? Did his work forgive him?

Maria - hope you fell better soon, good luck with the tests. Yay that your girls are all healthy at the same time!

Seek - well done at the spring clean. how is the big bed going? are the sleeps getting longer at night?

Right, now I've drawn a blank again... so a big hello to everyone! i say this all the time, but I'm really going to try and keep up again! I've been working 5 days cause work is so busy but I'm taking a day of this week before i go mad....

 Hi everyone,

so I come back from a weekend away, we have a new thread and it's got over 10 pages  not that I am surprised or anything. I trieds to read them but only got to page 3. I have to get going as my place is a tip, I have washing to do and children to feed.

The weekend was great, I am slowly teaching my 2 what to do at the beach (build sandcastles, jump on waves and collect shells/rocks/seaweed) and they had a ball. I have now decided that in the warmer months we can have a weekly outing to the beach (never mind it is a 40 min drive from my place)

cheers girls I'm off, I have a Yummy Mummy health and fitness program to start today and I need to print it out and start a blog.

morning all.

Managed to have a decent sleep last night which did me good. my arm is still sore - still think its muscular though - linas just gone down for a morning snooze, and im just waiting for the washing to finish so I can hang it out.

Brianna has a school project to do atm, shes chosen to do it on dolphins. I need to google a few places for her today so she can use them this afternoon.

Will have to mop the floors again (well kitchen/dining( as the dog ran in with muddy paws:banghead:

Not sure where the meet this week will be, but if next one is redcliffe way, would prefer somewhere close to this side. or a playcentre -(happy to offer here if you's want it here though.

bbl washings ready!

HIGA - Hoping your arm is on the mend soon...

Pretty boring day here.... had a little sleep in, just about to bath madam then need to make a trip to the shops for more washing powder to conquer my never ending washing pile....

Well I just got the call up to help my sis with her assignment too....

Been keeping my eye on domain.... really sick of living so far from work and everything else... so looking to move closer to town.... found a nice little 2 bed unit I wouldn't mind looking at not far from my nan and pops.... really wouldn't mind downsizing actually..... also selling miss P's cot and change table set... seeing as she's never slept in it.... and looking for a nice single bed for her.....

TS - the beach sounds fun.... think me needs to hit the solarium before I even think about stepping foot in a cosie!!

Rach - sending some sleep vibes your way :wizard:

Morning all!!

I am totally exhausted, I have just read every page of this thread and the last three pages of the old thread.....had to figure out why Mark was in the bad books lol.

Can't wait to get to the new place and have the computers all set up and the net on, I may actually keep up over the weekends

Don't stress to much Shea you will get your BFP when you least expect it. Just have fun BDing and don't forget your book!! I am really looking forward to reading it.

[COLOR=#4169e1]I feel so bad lol.. I've mentioned how Kai has gone funny at bed time since MIL looked after him. Well earlier that day I took his doona out of his cot to wash. He's used the same doona since he was born.
so I'm wondering if thats part of the reason he's been funny. Will wash it today and see how he goes tonight.

That is gorgeous!!
Hope he slept better once he had his doonah back.

. Our bed is absolutely snowed under with clothes that need folding and the spare bed is covered in clothes that need ironing. It is never ending! AND we only have one child so I dread to think what it will be like with 2 or 3!!

I know that feeling and we only have the one atm too..will be interesting with another lol.

Yeah - except for two things, it was definately NOT subtle! :o And I might be pg but I was growling at a whole heap of other pgs too!

I just got this image of a growly post, rofl!

Mell - 90% sure I'll be on the Gold Coast last weekend in October.... think we may be going to book flights tomorrow maybe....

Oooh you will love the coast, have you been here before? Would love to meet up with you if you want, I should be living in surfers paradise on that weekend (if the house sells lol).

Anyway it took me about 2hrs on and off reading all the posts I had best go and do some work!!

Where is Nellie, she hasn't been on today. Hope everything is ok Nel

yeah, i hope things are ok. i might text her.

:hugs: You girls are so sweet. I'm ok, just had a busy day in the sunshine yesterday. Sorry to have worried you.

Just got back from dropping Zac at school. I'm buggered so will be sleeping with Kai today I think. Kai and I I both have colds from the sh*tty weather on friday at the sports carnival.

Things with Zac's behaviour all sorta came to a climax last night. Zac was asked to tidy his room and after carrying on for over 2hours (I mean screaming, throwing things, talking back etc) he eventually got a smack on the bum. Well he got hysterical and worked himself into such a state he had an asthma attack
Mark got stressed and snapped at me which of course set me off in tears etc etc.. After we'd both calmed down we went in and had a good talk to Zac about how his behaviour makes everyone feel including himself etc.. I think it might've helped him understand.
Anywho after that Zac happily cleaned the remaining few things up in his room, had dinner and went to bed without a fuss. Mark shocked me and asked if we could please watch the Positive Parenting dvd the social worker gave me. So we sat down and watched that and when it was finished Mark said "You know how I know I am a really bad parent?... Coz I learnt so much from that dvd, every 2nd thing they described is where I go wrong" :gloomy:
I even recognized alot of things that I do myself that need changing.. So :fingerscrossed: for me ladies that things will only get better now! He finally understands where I have been coming from these last 12mnths and realizes he is placing unrealistic expectations on Zac, therefore causing him to fail over and over again.. Things are going to change from now on!!

I'm not excusing Marks behaviour on Friday but I didn't even stop to think how all this cr*p with Zac has been affecting him. I think we both feel a bit more positive about it all now though.

ooooh guess what?! After washing kai's doona the other day and putting it back in his cot he has SLEPT THROUGH!!!!!!!!!! *does happy dance* He's gone to bed at about 7pm, woken for a bottle at around 11 then not made a sound til 7am.. He hasn't slept like that since he was about 4mnths old.

umm cant think what else I was planning to say.. Might go make a milo and some toast and come back.

Nel- I'm so glad to hear that things are going well at home with Mark and with Zac. Mark really does sound like a decent guy who is trying hard to do the right thing by his family, he just got a little off track along the way :hugs: You sound so much happier now xo

Ducky- I went and checked out your post too (I am also a sticky beak!). I think good on you for standing up for yourself!

Have had a good morning, we went and looked at a couple of properties for my Dad. He is in Townsville and wants to buy an investment property here in Kingaroy. The first one was pretty sh!tty but the 2nd one was pretty good for the money. He is going to Iraq with the army next month (:gloomy:) and I think he may end up waiting until he gets back after 6 months away.

I bought some toilet training supplies today- just trying to get organised plus I have been told by others that it helps to have the potty etc around the house for a few months before starting TT so they get used to it and it's not this big scary thing when it does happen. So Mason got one of those toilet seat inserts, a potty- I wasn't planning on potty training but thought I would get one just to see how I go, and some Bob undies. I think when the weather warms up I will let him run around outside with his undies on to help him learn to recognise when he's wee'd. Plus to give him a break from nappies and I don't really trust the dogs around him if he was completely starkers

How is everyone else today??

Kel- when does Ady start his 2 week trial with his new job?

Hows evryone doing?

Sorry i keep goin quiet im just really finding it hard catchin up and keepin up with posts.
I think im a bit depressed to with everything, im just feeling like "Okay now what".

I have to get some help from this clinic where there help you with parenting skills.
Im just finding it really hard to disapline her and keep her in line. She so naughty atm, shes hitting people, ignoring me, just being a bully lol and just getting away with far too much, but that's my fault. Sometimes i just get so sick of telling her off that i just let things go and that's not good either.

Her app with the specialist is tommorrow, im sure everything will be okay :fingerscrossed:

Sorry for this selfish post i feel really bad, evryone has kind words and advice for me, I feel so bad that i cant keep up and do more personals. Maybe when im happy again and feelin better i will be able to.

I hope everyone is well, catch up soon :hugs:

Forgot to say in my earlier post Bradley is now confidently walking 15 steps or so at a time!!:smiliedance: :yelclap:

Tasha- always know how much we love you and care for you :hugs: I hope you can get things under control with Leyla's behaviour- it might just be a case of the terrible two's visiting your house a little earlier than the rest of us! Take care xoxoxo

YAY Bradley!!

I forgot to say earlier because I was too excited about the new potty  but Mason woke up this morning choked up with a cold and there were 2 spews in his cot :crying: He must have done them in the middle of the night but he didn't wake up crying at all so he probably did them and fell straight back asleep. His nose now is getting worse, it is coming out green and is leaking like a tap! Poor bubba. I have given him panadol but he just seems so out of it and zonked in the highchair struggling to breathe through his nose.

Huge :hugs: Tash!! I hope you're feeling happier soon. You've been through a pretty rough few months so it's no wonder your not feeling yourself.
In regards to the parenting stuff maybe ask them if they have the Triple P dvd.. I only watched it last night but it was sooooooooo helpful!! And it caters to all age groups.

Tash, if you ever need to chat, you know where to find me!

I have given him panadol but he just seems so out of it and zonked in the highchair struggling to breathe through his nose.

Have you tried baby Demazin? It's worked really great for B once when she had heaps of trouble breathing!

Had a great few days - my sis was up from the coast and stayed with me since Friday and went home late yesterday. Was fun! Did heaps of shopping :shame: and was sooo tired last night!

B decided to wake at 4.30am this morning :banghead: and just kept chatting quietly to herself, instead of going to sleep. By 5 I'd had enough of it! Then I had a thought...she's prob done a poop! Went and checked, and sure enough, there was the little nugget! Changed her, fed her and put her back to bed. She went straight to sleep, but I couldn't! By 6, I'd got sick of it, so got up and had brekky and tidied up a little bit. Had a good day today, didn't do much, but B has been very cuddly and kissy lately, so I got HEAPS of bubba slobbery lip kisses! Love it!

Nel where can i get that vid from? Thanks 4 that it sounds handy. xx

I am borrowing it from the social worker, I have no ide where to buy it but if you pm me your address edited by TS (just PM Myztik ok tash)
I'm doing one for myself and for another friend so it wont be a hassle.

Haylie :hugs: for you and Mason. I hope he's feeling better soon. The infant demazin works well for Kai too, stops his nose running for a few hours. Long enough for him to have a bottle and get to sleep anyway.

I still feel yuk. I slept for 2hrs (on the kids couch on the loungeroom floor again lol) but just felt worse when I woke up, like I could've slept for another 12hrs.

anywho might go put the loungeroom toys away while the boys are trashing Kai's room lol.

 Hi girls. After 14 months of breastfeeding I got MASTITIS today! Grrrrrrrrr.
It started as a plugged duct last night and it wouldn't massage out, today my boob was red but I wasn't feeling too terrible.. after nagging from other hubbers and, eventually, my daycare director yelling at me, I called the dr, visited and I've got early stages of mastitis. HOPEFULLY the antibiotics I'm on will knock it on the head, I'm very tired at the moment though and my headache isn't getting better.

So.. I'll be back later to do some personals.

Tash, :hugs: hope you get everything sorted out soon. Parenting is one of the hardest things ever, there is no instruction to follow but there is help out there when we need it. Make an appointment with your CHN and just have a chat to her, they are full of info. I love my CHN :D

Seek, wow, i can't believe you have mastitis. Is it from not feeding/expressing during the day? Hope you get rid of it fast.

Nel, hope you feel better soon. Are you sure you aren't pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess what, we got the house, well we didn't at first. They rung Sean this morning and said that our application has been approved but we didn't get the house but to have a look at there rentals and if they had something else that we liked, we could take that one. They didn't have anything that i liked so i searched and got a list of properties for sean to go and have a look at. Then about an hour later they rang back and the other application fell through, so they said if we still wanted it, it was ours:smiliedance: . We pick up the keys Thursday afternoon and we will move over the week end. I am so excited, i can't wait.

:smiliedance: Congrats on the house Mell!!! How exciting!

and nah I'm not pregnant lol. AF appeared last Saturday, sorry forgot to update lol. At Zac's sports day it rained on and off all morning then around lunchtime it bucketed down and the wind got freezing cold. Kai and I got stuck under a shelter but couldn't get out of the wind until the rain lightened up enough for me to run for Zac's classroom. So we've both got colds :gloomy:

#2, for the first time since Jan my little Luci slept through the night last night!!!!

WOOHOO!!! WTG Luci. is she still keeping it up??

I'm STUFFED... but hey, what's new!

Kel - been meaning to say good luck for Ady at the new job. Sure he'll be fine!

huge :hugs: i hope that things start getting better soon (i know i say it alot, but i do mean it!!).

thanks, Ady went well. he told his work today and they have said to give them til tomorrow arvo to see if they can offer him anymore. we'll see, i dont think they'll come close to matching bring home 1K/wk.

The weekend was great, I am slowly teaching my 2 what to do at the beach (build sandcastles, jump on waves and collect shells/rocks/seaweed) and they had a ball.

glad to hear that you had a graet wkend and the kiddies too!! how are you feeling now??

Been keeping my eye on domain.... really sick of living so far from work and everything else... so looking to move closer to town.... found a nice little 2 bed unit I wouldn't mind looking at not far from my nan and pops....

i hope you can find something suitable for you and Miss Pip, xxoo.

I am totally exhausted, I have just read every page of this thread and the last three pages of the old thread.....had to figure out why Mark was in the bad books lol.

hi, good to see you again. how is the hosue going?? any offers yet??

Kai and I I both have colds from the sh*tty weather on friday at the sports carnival.

[COLOR=#4169e1]Things with Zac's behaviour all sorta came to a climax last night.

ooooh guess what?! After washing kai's doona the other day and putting it back in his cot he has SLEPT THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!

huge :hugs: i hope Mark is honest in trying to get his behaviour with Zac better - mainly for your sake but also the boys. does he seem to want to get help for the drinking?? i hope what he did the other night was a one-off and he realises how bad he did!!

He is going to Iraq with the army next month

I bought some toilet training supplies today

Kel- when does Ady start his 2 week trial with his new job?

big :hugs: i've had two cousins in Iraq. one was hit by a suicide bomber and had shrapnel wounds, the then sent him badk 2yrs later and he was in front of another tank that got hit. it's ****, we shouldn't be there but that's a whole other story. i hope that he doesn't get sent there for too long, xxoo.

good luck with the toilet training. i'm not pushing Angel, she got off the potty the other night so i didn't make her stay on it. i don't want her to think it's a bad thing.

he starts 2wks from today - WOOHOO!!!

I think im a bit depressed to with everything, im just feeling like "Okay now what".

I have to get some help from this clinic where there help you with parenting skills.
Im just finding it really hard to disapline her and keep her in line.

never feel bad for coming on here and telling us how you feel - we are always here for you. we are such a great group of friends, we understand each other alot, we can even tell when someone is not themselves - we are our own lil family. these gorgeous mummas were my main coping mechanism when if first had Angel adn i was not coping very well. they supported me so much and i woudn't have got through it so quickly without them. don't feel bad for no personals, don't feel bad for a post that's just about how you're feeling. a fmily can't help if they don't know the problem, and problems are what families help out best

that's a great idea to get some help about discplining Leyla. i often think if i will have to with Angel cause she is so friggin stubborn it's not funny.

After 14 months of breastfeeding I got MASTITIS today! Grrrrrrrrr.

aww, you poor thing. i hope it clears up quickly for you, xxoo.

so where is the meet Wednesday?? will we make it Maria's seeing as next wk is at Redcliffe??

i was meant to go to another group of bubhub mums for the first time tomorrow. it's one for the kallanur/north lakes area and the lady lives just behind the shopping centre from where i am!! i can' go cause Angel is not completely better and seeing as i'll be meeting them for the first time i don't wanna get their bubbas sick. i hope she is ok for Wednesday, will let you know. her nose is nearly all better and just a lil cough now, but let me know if you would prefer if i didn't bring her - i completely understand.

anyway, i'm off now. will chat to you gorgeous mummas tomorrow. lots of love to you all, xxoo.

Nikki- ouchies! I hope the mastitis clears up for you very soon. I had the beginnings of it in the very early days and the old cabbage leaves really did work! They also felt so relieving because I would put them on straight from the fridge and my boobies felt like they were on fire so this cooled them down. I hope your ab's work quickly :fingerscrossed:

Mell- great news on the house!!! Congrats! I bet you are so excited to get settled in at the coast with all your stuff back.

Mason went to bed not a very happy little man. I will go to the chemist tomorrow if he doesn't seem any better.

Hi Ladies!

Damn, I got thrown up on again tonight! :barf: Why, why, why does it never happen to gav lol. She's got a cough that brings up phlegm but everyone says that's normal after her flu, but it's still bloody lingering. I was holding her after her bedtime milk and she started the liquidy cough and I thought to myself 'she's gunna spew'. Out her nose and all, poor thing. She's got a mild temp so gave her nurofen and she's asleep now. Do you think it's normal for the cough to still be there?

Well who's up for some job advice? I'm at my old work on a great wage, 5 days worth for only 4 days work. Problem is, I already do truckload more in my 4 days than the girl I replaced, but they know what I'm capable of so I have the workload of what I could do in 5 days to fit into 4. Make sense? Now I've been offered more money to work for another brand still for 4 days. The new job would be closer to home and more money. But would it be harder to try and learn a new brand in my limited time frame and would Nix like a new daycare or would she hate the change? To be honest, gav is starting to rub off on me and I'm freaking out about how we're going to pay the bills when the second bub comes, so money is an issue... Any advice appreciated ladies!

Mich - yay for the sleep through! How is the job hunting going? I meant to say to you that I don't have a degree, but nowadays a lot of workplaces appreciate someone switched on more than some whipper snapper with a degree they didn't want and no drive for the job lol. You can do anything so I hope you find something you like.

Nel - that PP video sounds great. Was it relevant for our age bubs too or more older ones? Glad Mark is acknowledging his feelings and stuff, hope it all helps. Good luck with the PP stuff and Zac.

Tash - hi hun! Good luck with your journey too, let us know how you go and how the specialist appt goes. Must be tough with Leyla being so lively, but at least she's got spirit! My cousin was such a stunned mullet that my aunty could go outside and come back and she'd still be sitting in the exact same spot. Boring!

Kaz - have fun getting her hair done, post some piccies!

Crappola, can't remember what else I was going to say... Oh yeah, Mell congrats on the house!

Nay - how is your sis feeling? Did your dad apologise? What did you buy on your shopping spree?

Ok, can't be bothered doing work tonight so I'm off to bed. Night girlies mwah

Well now - have been working my butt off with paperwork so my eyes are crossed and my brain numb - but we will see how I go with my memory for some personals...

Nikki - make sure you rest well, mastitis can really sneak up on you and you are sometimes much sicker than you realise at first - like Rach said great you caught it early!

Nellie - Scott and I did the positive parenting course, it was so great to get you going in the right direction. Good on you.

I really enjoyed reading your post, I always love your posts but really loved this one. I don't know if you realise it but you are breaking some major ground in your approach to life and to parenting, you are leading the way for your family in ways that are so important - Good on you!!!!

Tash - Ok this could sound like an old chick comment to you, but in fairness I AM an old chick! - you my love are a young mum, doing it tough. Your circumstances are quite new wrt being a single mummy, and I should imagine this is not what you had hoped for. Please do go and see someone, just for guideance, but rest assured there is nothing that you have done so far that can not be easily adjusted. Give yourself plenty of opportunity to grieve for Suat as you only just lost him really. You are a WONDERFUL mother and your daughter and you have the most adorable path ahead of you.
ANYTIME - you are always welcome to pm, phone, and of course come and escape up here for a bit - I have big wings for a duck with plenty of warmth for you to snuggle into!!!

Nix06 - it is an easy answer (IMO) go to the new job. It is not as much about loyalty (sadly) in the current work force, rest assured their loyalties are not that huge for you! You are highly underestimating your ability to learn a new 'game', Nix's ability to adapt to a new daycare, and you are not even considering the fact that they might offer you awesome options to stay with them post pg!!!!

I say bite off more than you can chew lovely - then chew hard!!!!

I know I missed others - I am so sorry but I really have to go and chill out with my Horlicks for a while

It really has been a huge day!

Love J

Just a quickie - should be in bed.

Karen - I was going to say exactly what Jess did! I'd definately go for the new job. Judging by the pic on your avator, Nix is a happy, secure little-girl and will do fine moving to a different daycare. I understand your worry about money, I've been stressing about it lately and we really are okay, but sometimes I'd like to be a bit more. Good luck with your decision.

Anyway I must go try and get some sleep at least.. oh and as for Train cake photos - will try get my act together soon.

You're officially on my 'to do list' now, so I'll just keep begging!!

Thanks to the 7!

BTW wanting Mumma and ALL (if you have more than 1!) bubba dates!!

Hi all

Again - a multitude of posts to read, but being a work night (and hopefully a catch up sleep night - need more catch up after Saturday's fiasco), won't post too much in the way of personals, and will update more tomorrow and Wednesday

Myz - sounds great that you both got stuff out of the video - Agree with MD - if Mark's seeing stuff (and you) then it's the first step in changing behaviour.

Mell - congrats on the house

Seek - yuck about the mastitis, but great shots of the shed

HIGA - glad you had a great day - agree with the others about your beautiful girls

Tash - good to hear from you - agree with MD (I'm riding on coattails here) - this wasn't in your plan, but you have been doing so well. Talking to someone may help getting stuff out and helping you out.

Mini munch - did I give my birthday (or was I supposed to?). - it's on my public profile anyway

Nix - yuck about the :barf: . Life's too short - be somewhere you want - not where others want you

rachdent - go off and get some sleep already!

Haylie - hope the vaporiser works (oh and hope the babymaking works hehe)

Kel - you always know the right things to say - a wisdom beyond your years (love you to bits)

Jac, Naomi, Rachael, TS, Jayney, Nay, Kaz and anyone else I've missed (i'm sure I can add personals for all of you tomorrow, but getting late - again!) - .

Oh and from me - I absolutely solemnly swear I'll post a developmental activity list before the end of the week (or you can all beat me with a stick)

Good morning

MD, I had tears in my eyes reading your post to Tash, i just love how close we all are, mushy mushy mushy.
I will do the secret santa again this year, i was only just thinking about it the other day.

Rach, can you get your mum to have the boys for the night again soon so you can have a full nights sleep to recharge. I hope we both can get a full nights sleep soon :fingerscrossed:

Karen, i too would jump at the new opportunity and i am sure Nixie will adjust fine to a new centre. Let us know how you go with it all.

Mich, i will PM you as soon as i have finished this post

The boys are going well, Nix is walking every where now, doesn't crawl much anymore. It is so cute. Bodhi is just Bodhi, full of energy and doesn't stop, but i am sure that is like all 4 year old boys.

Morning wise ladies!

I wouldn't normally be on here in the morning but I've been awake since 5am with a screaming Nixie, she's only just gone to sleep. Gav is taking her to the doc this morn, maybe another ear infection.

Thanks for all the advice, am seriously thinking about going for it. There is even a cool daycare nearby - the oldest one in Australia, and they provide cloth nappies for all the bubba's, unheard of! Maybe my splurges on beautiful mcn's that are gathering dust can see the light of day again lol.

Geez, secret santa!!! It can't be that time of year yet surely? Where did the time go? Has anyone sorted out what they're buying/bought for your bubba yet? I might buy Nixie a sedative... jk, I need to think of something that doesn't take a lot of room and she'll won't get bored of - any ideas?

I'll pm you my bday mich. That's nice of you to organise!

Rach - hope you get some sleep x PS. you look slim in your photos to me!

Jess - you're not old, you're experienced!

Pegs - don't stress about the developmental thing, we are lucky to have your advice so just whenever you have time. You sound a bit fed up so I hope things get better for you soon x

Mell - how is Nix going with his sleep and weight now? Yay on the full time walking, does he chase Bodhi around?

OK, shower and work... wish I could sleep instead! Hope you all have great days xxx

Mell - how is Nix going with his sleep and weight now? Yay on the full time walking, does he chase Bodhi around?

I hope Nixie get well soon. Nix still doesn't sleep through the night, he normally wakes twice a night  He now weighs 8.1kgs :D my little tubba tubba. My cousin has a 5 mth old that is heavier then Nix

thanks for all the well-wishes ladies.
I'm not 100% today and will take the day off to 'rest' (doctors orders). I'm not sure about tomorrow yet - I have an appt but I'll see if I can change it to today instead :)

Sorry for the lack of personals but just wanted to share, as I am very excited

:smiliedance: my home is dummy free!
:smiliedance:

we lost them all on the weekend and they just never got found, oh gee what a shame.

Mr P is going thru CC atm, falls asleep after the 5 min gap. Miss E is falling asleep after hours of hysterical wailing :gloomy:

Wow TS - crossing the dummy barrier - Day One

Good job lovely!!

Thanks Mell for doing the Secret Santa - little champion you!!!!

Nix - I may not be old, just experienced, but it is my experience to have turned older 36 times!!! Thus yep I claim rank in here (its all relative!) that I am in fact OLD!!!

;)

And very experienced
:devil6:

Working today - better get back to it!

Nikki, glad you're feeling better. I would love it if you could swap your appointment over and come tomorrow (yay!) but for your own sake, don't push it, if you can't do it, you can't do it.

Karen, yeah, I heard back from Dad, I'll put his reply at the bottom of this post

I would also switch jobs, kids are very adaptable, as long as they're picking up that all is good with their mumma, they'll always be fine and happy. I am also back in the clothies (well, B is, not me) except at night. I think being in them all night is what prolonged that horrid rash she had. So I'm no longer a hoity-toity clothie, more a sensible clothie

Oh, and very very great to see you popping in here so much this week!

Jess, what you said to Tash is very true -

Tash you need to remember you've only JUST split with Suat. You can't expect to be where Karrie or I are in terms of happyness, because you still love him. You have been waiting for him for very close to two years, so it's going to take a lot to get over that! I agree with Jess, you really need to see someone, even just to get your thoughts out and understand them. Try ringing Salvation Army I think it is, they can offer counseling and also at a good easy to manage price when you're receiving Centrelink payments.

Mich, I'm sorry I haven't PMd you, and I'd prob forget, so my bday is 15.05.80 and B's is 17th

BBL have a cuppa tea that's demending my attention!

Oh, and yay for you Kim on no dummies! Two more days then it'll be all good!

Reply:

I gather by your note to me the other night that you were upset with me regarding my chat to Narelle.I will happily discuss any aspect of our talk, but only face to face with both of you girls present. I won't do it by letter or phone because it is too easy to get the wrong idea by those ways of communication. I can visit when it is convenient.
Just remember that I love both of you, I am your father.

Morning!!!

Went to bed far too late last night and feel great this morning?!! Go figure!

Thanks everyone for all the bday dates, keep them coming!!

Nay, Wow... I missed what happened between your Dad, sister and self. I did read your letter to him.... I think the reply from him is a good one... if I was p!$$ed off with someone, that reply would make me feel like the outcome could be positive....

Kim, YAY!! For no dummies. Sending your darlings sleepy dust!

Karen, I agree with Nay, great to see you more! I'd go with the new job. If I remember correctly you'd just been offered a new one when you found out you were preggie again, which you turned down?.. If the new one has extra pluses like closer to home, 'funky' child care as well as the extra cash sounds like a goer!

Mell, thanks for doing SS again this year, you're a legend!

Good to see you too MD!

Haylie, how's Mason this morning?

Seek, how are you?

Luci almost slept through last night, woke just after 5am, fed and then slept with me until just before 7am! I'm not complaining :D

Opps.... am baking cookies and writing this and I keep forgetting about my cookies... last lot are a little dark:o

Hope to pop in later, have a great day!!

Hey ladies,

haven't said much as i haven't had much to say, have been reading along though! Been up since 5 as well, and the little bugger didn't go back down until 9. Hopefully he will get two sleeps today then.

Still a:bfn: and on day 34 or 35 of cycle. Hmmmm.....

mich - my bday is the same as nays - 15th of may. and conmans is 20th july

nay - maybe just go talk to him by yourself first, and then again with your sister. that way you can really get how you feel out without having her there - otherwise he might feel like he is being ganged up on

seek - sorry to hear about your sore boobies! hope you get better soon :hugs:

maria - how come you get to use 6 emoticons? is that because you are a mod and get special privialges (sp?);) or is it only me who uses them too much and i have been limited? lol

ts - well done about the dummy free house. conman is going the other way with his - using it more and more. Best if luck with all the cc

md - hope your preg is going well and that you dont keep spreading around the horse flu! lol

karen - go for it! if its closer and more money why not? nix will be fine, she might just take a couple of days to adjust. does she have to be moved?

mich - hope luci slept thru for you

think thats it, hi to the others i have missed. still waiting for my three pregnant mums to be to pop. very excited about the home water birth coming up - has been making me think about it for myself....

Hi everyone, I just can't keep up. Dh had the laptop yesterday so I missed loads! He's taking it for the rest of the week so I will probably go quiet later on!

Myz - great news about the PP video.
Kim, glad to hear you are dummy free now! The days at the beach sound great.
Duckie, that was great advice for Tash.
Tash :hugs:
Seek, hope you feel better soon.
Hugs to all of you with sicky bubbas!
Kaz, post a pic of the new hairdo, good luck with looking for a new place.
Gotta dash and get big DD to school x

Chatterboxes!

YAY Bradley!!

His nose now is getting worse, it is coming out green and is leaking like a tap! Poor bubba. I have given him panadol but he just seems so out of it and zonked in the highchair struggling to breathe through his nose.

Ta, he looks so cute when he walks.

Use Dimetapp! It is great and they have a special one for clogged up noses. You can get it over the counter too but have to sign for it.

:smiliedance: Go Bradley!!! How are u hun xx

Thankyou. I am fairly good, stressed about my unit, settlement is next week and the valuers have stuffed up but getting that all fixed today, I am soo glad I am in the finance industry could not handle leaving this all to someone else to do.

Wow ill have to remember not to have a break from the net anymore!!

I know exactly how you feel.

Guess what, we got the house, well we didn't at first. We pick up the keys Thursday afternoon and we will move over the week end. I am so excited, i can't wait.

Gratz!! Have a good weekend, very exciting shifting.

hi, good to see you again. how is the hosue going?? any offers yet??

Hehe I usually do! At the best of times, I find him annoying...at the worst...can't stand him! LOL

Mell, let me know if you need a hand with anything, even if you'd like me to come down and watch the boys if you wanna start shifting some stuff before the weekend. :hugs:

Nay, sounds like your dad would like to sort things out between you and your sister. I would organise a time that you all can get together and sit down and have a big talk about it all and see if you can all come to some sort positive outcome.
As for tomorrow, we will be there and yer i reckon just have it at Maria's, i am sure she won't mind :D
Thanks for the offer. We will be able to met up for coffee soon, i just have to find my way around the place, don't even know where the local shops are to do groceries

Rachael, we will have to catch up too once i get all settled in. Do you work everyday?

I work Mon - Fri until Christmas holidays where I get 6weeks off.

Happy to meet on the weekend sometime we could both bring our DHs as well and go have a picnic or something. Labrador is a nice place for picnics as it Macintosh park in surfers.

Harbour town is a great place for all types of shopping and is in Labrador. We generally do all our food shopping in Australia fair, it has woolies, coles, cinemas, plus misc shops too.

hi gorgeous girls  well, this morningAngel woke at about 3am *blerk* coughing, brought her inot our bed, she tossed and turned and hit me in the face til Ady got up and i shifter her away from me, she then woke about 6am *blerk again* i gave her a bottle and she slept with me til 8.30am!!! we had to be out of the house by 9.40 to get her pixie photos done, having brekky and all. we did make it and i bought her ANOTHER outfit - she gets lots (hope it's hot tomorrow so she can wear a new one, hehe) and also a lil vanity dressing table with a lil chair - it's so cute - pink & purple i got it from Target. anyway, that's the reason i haven't been on earlier!!

Kel that is the most beautiful thing to say - you seem to put all of our thoughts into words perfectly!

How was work?

thanks gorgeous mumma, xxoo.

work was ok, same as usual, keeps my brain working (not that it's very big or smart, hehe).

I agree Kel.... all you ladies are just beautiful and I don't know where I'd be without you guys in my life... even if I can't keep up with the chatter.... you all hold a very special place in my heart!

aww, we love you too, xxoo.
def wanna see piccies of your hair!!

Mason went to bed not a very happy little man. I will go to the chemist tomorrow if he doesn't seem any better

is Mason ok??

I dont think it will be much longer until the littlest miss starts walking. Shes now pulling herself up really well. but also likes to take steps whilst holding on to cris or I.

YAY for nearly walking and the teethies!!

Off to bed for me now. We will be making a baby tonight

how did the baby making go?? you really crack me up sometimes with the things you come out with!! did you get your sleep in??

Damn, I got thrown up on again tonight!

She's got a mild temp so gave her nurofen and she's asleep now. Do you think it's normal for the cough to still be there?

Well who's up for some job advice?

ohhh :hugs: that' really sucks. how is Nixie?? has her temp gone down?? what did the doc say?? i'm not sure about her cough, i hope it's all ok, xxoo.

like everyone else said, go for what will make it better and easier for you in the long run. employers have next to no loyalty (in some places), we found that out with Ady's pay rise. you have to do what is best for you and your family. you'll know what is right i your heart and Nixie will adapt and love making some new friends. if that's your only worry can you keep her at her same daycare??

we got Angel a few things for xmas. a smaller ball pit (that can be put aside in her room), a couple of board games (i wanna start getting a collection for when she's old enough), alittle jumper thing (like a mini tramp and it has handles she can hang onto to, a dvd (Angelina Ballerina one). that was all. we had a bidget but i'm sure i'll buy more towards Christmas for her HEHEHE!!

Kel - you always know the right things to say - a wisdom beyond your years (love you to bits)

well, i love you too gorgeous mumma, xxoo.

Opinions???

i think he genuinely sounds like he wants to talk it through. def go with your sis and see what he says. you don't have to take any noitce of what he says if he upsets you but maybe he might have something good to say. hopefully he'll apologise to your sis. how does she feel about it all??

TS - good on you for getting rid of the dummies, i hope Miss E settles down for you soon :hugs:

Brissy girls - Angel's nose is not runny anymore but she still has a cough (mainly at night). do you want us to come or not?? just let me know, xxoo.

Mini M - glad to hear that you're feeling great today!!

hmmm, all i can think of for now. lots of love, will go do dishes and bbl. i'm gonna put together Angel's vanity thingo, her room's coming together - hopefully will be painted soona dn then i can post some piccies!! lots of love, xxoo.

She's got a mild temp so gave her nurofen and she's asleep now. Do you think it's normal for the cough to still be there?

Nel - that PP video sounds great. Was it relevant for our age bubs too or more older ones?

It could be a 'post viral cough' like Kai had. It can last up to 6weeks and no cough medicine will do anything to help. It has something to do with the throat repairing itself.

Umm with the PP dvd alot of it was all age groups and alot was 18mnths plus.

:fingerscrossed: Nixie doesn't have an ear infection and is feeling better asap.

Hope the pixi photo's went weel. Her room is going to look gorgeous by the time your finished!! Cant wait to see pics. Sounds like she's going to be one happy little girl on christmas too lol..

Would've been on earlier myself but I had to get some food stuff from the shop on the way home then I spent 45minutes finding my cats and chasing them around the house to get their new flea collars on  They are now outside sulking and ignoring me, only my cats would give someone the silent treatment LOL.. Cats are so funny.

Kai is tucking himself up in his spiderman blanket on his couch saying Nigh Nighs so I'm thinking he might be almost ready for a sleep.

He woke up twice last night but that's still better than he has been so hopefully he's settling into a better routine now. He's eating better aswell after being able to run around outside which is great. He can put on the weight he lost when he was sick the other month.

Hello!!!

What does inked mean???

Nix06- I say go for it with the job. More money, closer to home, cloth wearing daycare- it sounds perfect!!! What are you options with maternity leave? Will it be offered in the new place? That would be the only thing that I think would need to be taken into consideration if you are planning on returning to work after little bump is born. I hope Nixie is feeling ok soon, poor little mite xo

Christmas presents- OMG I can't believe it's that time of year again soon!!! Mason has been far too spoilt in the past with christmas and birthday and what not so this year he is getting NO toys from mummy and daddy and I will be letting Santa know as well :p As it is we have a playroom that is bursting at the sides with toys and more toys in his room and in the loungeroom so I think I will be getting him some educational DVD's and maybe some funky clothes from pumpkin patch or something boring like that. Depending on the money situation we would like to buy him some outside play equipment but that isn't a necessity at the moment when we have plenty of parks nearby. In the new house I am planning on having a mini playground set up for him and his brothers/sisters.

TS- YAY on no dummies!!!!!! It is a great feeling isn't it!!

Nay- I think your Dad maybe realises what he has done and wants to repair things with you and your sis. Let us know how you go.

Kel- I can't wait to see Angels room (well piccies anyways lol). It sounds like it will be so pretty and girly like a real princess's room!! I was meaning to say to you that I saw in the Big W catalogue they have the Disney Princess storage containers- they would match really nice with her bed! How did her photos go? I took Mason for pixie fotos when he was 2 months old and he cracked it, we had 5 attempts of a sitting and in the end they gave up but we did get 2 good photos out of it. How did Ady go on his first day?

Mason is still sick. He is sleeping atm and I have the vapouriser going. Paul has to go into work for a meeting this afternoon so I will get him to stop at the chemist on the way home and get something for Mason.

Baby making is going well ;) I am a few days away from when I would expect to O so it's all on and we are doing it everyday. Paul is loving it, it's like having all his christmas's at once  . I am determined I am going to be pregnant this month!

Also been meaning to say that when you are up this way Jayney I would love to meet you as well! Maybe we can organise something with Jess, you & myself.

OK I have babbled for too long!

cats are funny, i have a cat. he's about 13yrs old now and is cranky some of the time. i'm not sure what he thiks of Angel - i can't work out whether he likes her when she's outside or whether he's stalking her

Hello Mason's Mummy!!!!!!!!! Welcome! Just a Q- do you call your Mason Mase for short? I really love that (main reason I chose the name) but it just doesn't sound right when I say it to my Mason. His nickname is Masey-Moo but Paul tells me I need to drop that soon  I think I will still call him that when he's a teenager, poor child LOL

Kel, yep I'm pretty sure it was Big W. I looked on the website just now but couldn't find them.

happybirthday Hamish happybirthday

I hate Valuers!!!!!

Damn valuers company is being sued by a lender for a valuation they did and now they are down valuing all their valuations so they don't get in that position again. grrrrrr

Going to get it all sorted out though....hopefully:eek:

Anyway just had to get that out, getting a migraine now. ugh.

It is PRP, they have stuffed up several valuations not only for me but for clients of my family company as well.

EG: They said my house is RD1 it is RD2 any idiot with a computer can find that info on the council website lol.

They said my parents unit has 1 bathroom when there is clearly 2!!

I am actually thinking of lodging a formal complaint with the valuation board.

Going through westpac but they need my house to value higher so they can use some equity in it for my unit purchase. (Bridging loan till the house sells)

cant you just get normal broadband? it runs through the phone line you just need a line splitter so you can use phone and internet at the same time.. Not quite as fast as cable but still 100 times faster than dial-up.

If you go to wbc and tell them ur thinking of going to another lender cos of the valuer, theyll do something to get another valuer. i always could, but i only ever had a prob once, and that was an attitude prob of the valuer themselves, not the company, but the cust didnt want that company (they were being petulant) so I got another, just had to get approval by head office. pretty easy though!

7 pages in one day ladies... slow down a little!!!!

Not sure what I wanted to say now...

Hi tina!

Nay - I swear my mum could have written that response.... as much as everyone has said he wants to patch things up, and i'm sure he does in some way, i'd say be very careful.... I get a very strong vibe that he wants total control of this situation iykwim....

Loving my new hair... will have to wait til I can get a decent pick, cos I can't take a self portrait to save my life!

Tash - great to hear you are sounding happier....

Kel - I have already got my next two inkings planned out.... just need to save the dosh!

Karen - go with your gut hun!

Ooops... now I've forgotten everything else... so Hi everyone!

Bloody hell ladies! I thought I was doing so well posting this morning but there are another 9 pages lol.

Nixie has another ear infection and chest infection so is on some strong Amoxil for 10 days, but she's another druggie who loves the stuff. I yelled at gav because he was getting really frustrated (as we both were after 2 hours of screaming!), but after she woke she seemed happier, alternating laughing and whinging. So gav reckons she's just putting it on to get attention and i should take her to daycare so he doesn't have to rearrange his schedule to take her to the docs. Although, maybe I'm just as bad, I got so peed with her on Saturday for not sleeping and it was probably her ears then too... People in glass houses with black kettles!

I definitely going to get some more info on the new job. My current workplace is the type that I can go and come back to anyway, they'll always try and find work for me, so that is good. If I take the new one I would def have to move daycare though as her current one would be completely the other way. Would be nice to have another brand on the old resume as well. Thanks for the encouragement ladies!

Nay - you know how practical and cynical I can be about dads, but that last line about loving you both and being your father had me all emotional lol. Bloody preg hormones. Normally something like that wouldn't move me to work it out while I was still peeved about it (I love a good grudge!), but I'm getting soft in my old age. How does Narelle feel about it?

TS - dummy free, wtg! How's miss E taking it now?

Jess - forgot to say that you're horse story was funny. I had a mental image of the footage showing up on police files unlocked or something!

Shea - yay for the 4 births and a waterbirth is such a cool one to have for training. Let us know all the gory details lol. Hope connor is feeling better soon, bloody infections, it never stops!

Haylie - hope Mason feels better soon. You are hilarious about the ttc. You should keep a bridget jones style diary and join the girls in the author club! Does Paul know that everyone knows he's getting lucky lol? Seriously though, you sound really relaxed and enjoying the 'process' (!), good recipe for baby making ;)

Kel - hope angel is better soon too. can't wait to see her room. I was thinking like haylie of restricting chrissie presents, mainly cause I have no room in my apartment lol. But maybe I can go practical instead... surely Nixie won't care if she's unwrapping nappies, safety locks and socks?

Rach - happy birthday Hamish! Did you get some sleep?

Tash - so glad the appt went well, you sound much more like your usual self :hugs: . The spanish guys sounds like a great person and spanish accents are hot...! How did you meet? Does he have a single brother moving to qld for Nay?

Nel - so cute about the soft drink! How is Zac going now?

Tina - hi and welcome  . Nays right, I LOVE baby photos so feel free to share any of Mason!

Damn though, another sydneysider. Surely someone will join this group from Melbourne?

My sis is leaving me in a couple of weeks :gloomy: , I'm gunna miss her so much. She thinks they will settle in Burleigh Heads at this stage. She is a fifties housewife in a 26 year old body - completely clucky and planning her wedding while waiting for the proposal lol, so if you ever need a babysitter, she's awesome!

There was more I'm sure, but I just realised this is a mega post already and I'm delirious from lack of sleep last night... Before I forget though, i bought nixie a kiddie electric toothbrush and her face when i tried it on her this morning was priceless!

OK, off now, mwah xxx

Nay - I swear my mum could have written that response.... as much as everyone has said he wants to patch things up, and i'm sure he does in some way, i'd say be very careful.... I get a very strong vibe that he wants total control of this situation iykwim....

Simulposted! Can't wait to see the new hairdo, you've got a great face for shorter do's and it's so nice in summer to have short hair. How is work going now? And Piper?

See your reaction is more like my usual one lol. I reckon he's a bit old school, still completely believes everything he said to Narelle but regrets the delivery because now he's got to win them both over again... But I do think he loves you both Nay, he's just a typical dad of that age!

Oh I forgot I had something funny to share.... whilst playing around on myspace last night, I stumbled across a couple of my ex's besties....

Well it turns out one of them is expecting a bub of his own.... so I sent him a msg wishing him well....

Surely this new addition for his mate will make things at least uncomfortable for the ex.... if not get him thinking about his own daughter that he has chosen to miss out on....

Going to try and get an early one tonight... although I still have to get the dishes done and prepare dinner for tomorrow....

Kaz, I hope your ex wakes up one day and feels the weight of his choices heavily upon him. Can't believe him..... grrrr... funny bout his friend though

Tash, great to hear you sounding happier.

Karen, go you good thing! Doing so well to be popping in more

I could keep going but I really need that early night...

Just know how much I love you all and will talk to you again tomorrow!

Ahhh yes, that's more like it! :yelclap:

I felt his response was more of an anti-cimax than anything. While I can understand wanting to discuss it face to face, I would have thought he'd explain his version of it just a little. Or even just OMG I didn't realise it came across like that...Just SOMETHING iykwim

Ok, a little background on him...

I stopped seeing him when I was 10ish. My sis stopped around 7ish and my bro prob 6ish. He never really did anything to MAKE us see him. Mum moved us and wouldn't give him details of where we were or let her family tell him, nothing. He could have taken her to court to get access to his three kids. Why didn't he???

Even now, my sis has no money to ring him and let him talk about himself for half an hour, and she and I have told him this MANY times. Yet, every time he finally calls her (like, 4 or 5 months mind you) he asks her why she hasn't called him. Never mind that he hasn't called her!

He always tries to put the responsibility back onto us, that we should make the effort with him.

I feel that his reply is like his usual self.

Thoughts?!?!

Hiya gals

Feel so bad, have skimmed through the zillions of pages since I last read but I just don't have the energy to reply to it all.

Just quickly....

Nay - I think Kaz hit the nail on the head about the tone of that letter. Good luck.

Tash - glad to hear you happy agian. The boy sounds promising.

Shea - you are one busy woman. Good luck for the births.

Mich and everyone else who sent well wishes, thanks for the happybirthday 's to Ham. He had a great day.

Know' it's late, but here's a few photos from his party on Friday, oh and one of Lach getting in our pretend ocean. (we made boats out of egg cartons, straws and paper and then floated them in a big plastic container - after about five minutes, Lach decided it would be more fun BEING a boat!)
