Gestational Diabeties

Could anyone who was diagnosed with this tell me if they had any symptoms before they knew or any idea that they had it? TIA

The symptoms I recognised before the diagnosis were becoming light headed, being vague & not remembering how I got to places after driving there (very scary).

I had 2 car accidents the week before I had the GD test. I believe this was because my sugars were thru the roof and it was beginning to space me out. I would drive to work and not really remember how I got there. I couldnt remember streets I had passed or lights I had gone thru.

I dont know if I had other symptoms like excessive drinking before the diagnosis because I was drinking lots of water anyway.

Having GD isnt the worst thing in the world. It can be managed and healthy babies do happen.

no symptoms at all cept first pregnancy resulted in 11lb 4oz baby so it was suspected i had then too - my mum has type 2 diabetes so wasnt overly surprised i got GD - tried to control it with diet but ended up on insulin (its not your fault if you cant control it - it is the way the baby processes things that causes it) didnt have a problem with it & amazingly it went when she was born

Nope no idea at all and was very surprised to be diagnosed with it. I was borderline though so was easy to control with diet.
